Speaker 5 (00:58):
So something went very wrong almost at Lady Gaga's concert
in Brazil over the weekend. We'll get into those details.
Hella headlines are nagget Strawberry and Lazette.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
On Sacramento's New Kiss one oh seven point nine.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Lady Gaga held a big concert in Brazil over the
weekend where Brazilian authorities actually stopped what would have.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Been a bomb attack.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
They currently have two suspects in custody who, according to police,
were quote virtually recruiting participants to carry out the attacks
and the end goal was to get social media famous.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Thank god they stopped it.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Lady Gaga was not made aware of the threats and
actually found out through media reports, but the show went
on without a hitch. Everyone was saved. Two point five
million fans where they're breaking the record for highest attended
concert by female artists in history, previously held by Madonna.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Have you seen the videos of this beach where they
held Lady Gaga's concert in Brazil.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yes, it's massive.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Two point five million people's shoulder shoulder standing on this beach.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
To watch Lady Gaga perform.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Incredible.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
That's an insane amount of people. I would be waiting
the back, like I'm not. I'm not risking my life
just to be up in the front, Like I like
my Space, I'm sure I can't be in the front anyways.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Because I can see you see, and here's here's where.
Like on the surface level, that sounds great, Lady Gaga
concert on the beach, But then my mind goes to, ugh,
it's gonna take so long to find a bathroom, the
bathroom lines miss oh yeah, and trying to leave the
parking lot like it's gonna take hours.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
To get home.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
The young people care more about being up close, uh huh,
us more experienced folk like to be where it's convenience.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, traffic. It must have been nuts.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
After that, headlanda got Strawberry well.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Locally, the A's are back with a seven pm game
tonight against the Seattle Mariners. Also in local sports, the
Warriors had a do or die Game seven last night
in Houston. They beat the Rockets, and now they advanced
to the second round of playoffs tomorrow night against the
Timberwolves in Minnesota.

New Kiss one oh seven point nine. It's Strawberry and
Lazette in the afternoon and with Mother's Day coming up,
this weekend. We want to know what was your mom hack?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
What did you learn from mom that you do today? Tony?
What's yours?

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Mine? My mom was efficient. There was just three of us.
It was me and my mom, my dad, and I
would always wonder if she was cooking for like ten
people for she would make large batches of food. But
then she always would take all leftovers and freeze them.
Whenever one of that same food, she just read it
back up so she didn't have to cook anymore. We
had it ready to go.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
I do the same thing. You freeze the leftovers. Yeah,
same thing when I cook, Like I have more land
my freezer right now, freeze beans like my mom does
that too.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
She'll always have some beans in the freezer or whatever.
Like soup she made, it's a good one.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
Yeah. And then whenever you got that cram and you're like, oh,
let's just check the freezer. Yeah, what fifteen minutes you're
gonna get YEP.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I don't know why more people don't do it. Mom
hacked Lisette, that's why.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Now, Now, do you have a mom hack that you
showed your son that he could call in the radio station?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Be like my mom taught me to.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Oh man, I'm sure I do, but nothing that you'd
put me on the spot right now. I'd have to
really think of a good list and narrow it down.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
My mom says, drink water and take an Adville before
you go to bed.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Here's a mom hack.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
We're deodorant every day, Steaky Kid the Full Show, every afternoon,
whenever you want.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one o seven
point nine. With Mother's Day this Sunday, we want to
know what the mom hacks are?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
What did your mom teach you?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Chad?

Speaker 7 (04:43):
So, my mom taught me like if you're packing, like
if you're you're going on a trip, or you're like
you should go camping a lot and stuff and you
could fit a lot more in whatever you were packing
if you roll your clothes. And to this day, whenever
I'm going anywhere, like packing my sugas, I always roll
all of my clothes, and I've taken it a step further,
like there are some things that I will roll at home,

(05:06):
like when I'm putting them away in drawers and stuff
it's just because it saves room. The rolling clothes is
my mom, I.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Still do sounds very organized.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Yeah, my mom didn't pack that way. Like we stuffed
whatever we could into our suitcases and whatever's left would
like go in a trash bag.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
My mom is big on trash bags.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Trash bags could be a mom hacked darling and what's yours?

Speaker 8 (05:34):
My mom told me to always write and think, you know,
if someone gets you a gift. I know that it
seems like kind of like an old fashioned thing to do,
but writing and think, you know, people remember that and.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
They really think it to heart.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
So I always do that, and I always recommend that
everyone else does that too, because it just shows you
care about the person that got you a gift. That's
my mom hack.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Yeah, because nobody does that, No one does.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
My mom still sends thank you notes and it's such
a great gesture.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
Yeah, I guess.

Speaker 8 (06:00):
People don't expect it anymore, so it did weave more
of an impact.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Send Strawberry and Lisette a talkback message while you stream
the new kiss when O seven point nine on the
always free iHeartRadio apps.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Who does that?

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Does that?

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Imagine?

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Loving lifeguards so much that you throw yourself into the
ocean when you don't know how to swim. Imagine loving
EMTs so much that you drive into a pole just
so they'll show up.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Twenty six year old James Brown in the UK loves
firefighters so much.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Oh no, what did he burned down?

Speaker 5 (06:37):
He set his own house on fire. There we go
twice in one night. There you go, just to see
them in action. Not to be confused with an arts inist.
He's not obsessed with lighting things on fire. He's obsessed
with the firefighters. The thin line between the two. But sure,
go ahead. He called the fire department to report a
fire in his fusebox. When they got there, he started

(06:59):
a another fire. Now the firefighters were able to put
out the fires and cut off his electricity. They're like
James Brown here cannot be trusted. In court, he admitted
to what he did, but he was like, man, I
just wish I could be a firefighter so bad. And
the judge was like, okay, this guy's a little crazy.
Gave him a suspended prison sentence, so no jail time
as long as he stays out of trouble. So he

(07:23):
hasn't contacted the fire department since bro so many straining order.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
There's so many TV shows about firefighters, or just watch
YouTube clips.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
But it's not the same as seeing it in person.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
I'm sure it's not the same, you know, but at
least that way you don't burn your house down.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
I don't think I don't think that matters to him.
Not in matters like I'll just stay at the firehouse,
say when.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Streaming live Strawberry and Lazette every afternoon from three till seven.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
On Sacramento's new Kiss one oh seven point nine and
Kiss one O seven point nine dot com.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
A Strawberry and Lazette in the afternoon played.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
A little game with our coworkers called which one of
these shock glasses is tequila?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Which one is water?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Boiler alert? There was no water that we handed out.
Is that video up yet that we posted?

Speaker 4 (08:09):
I'm gonna post it right now, right as we.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Speak, all right, Instagram at one o seven nine Kiss
or at Strawberry and Lazette. Little Single a Mile pranky
prank for everyone just came in today.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
Gotta keep everyone on their toes. It's Monday. We're coming
back from Single a Mile weekends. They thought it was over.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
It's not over.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
No, it's not over all right, neither is the money.
We have another one thousand dollars pay Bill's keyword coming up.
In minutes after, Hella headlines what are we talking about?

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Beyonce hit with a cease and assist from the Sphere
in Las Vegas, So we'll talk about it. Hella headlines
their next it's Strawberry and Lazette.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
On Sacramento's new Kiss one oh seven point.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Nine men you, Hella headlines right here.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Beyonce has been hit with a ceasoned assist letter from
the owner of the Sphere in Las Vegas. She apparently
has been using footage and her tour interludes that features
her picking up what looks a lot like the according
to the owner. Anyways, he said, Beyonce's misleading fans into
thinking she'll end her tour with the Sphere residency.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Because that was the rumor.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
That was a rumor, So he wants her to stop
using the footage that they say is being used without
their permission and is quote misleading. Now, Beyonce does have
a couple shows in Vegas at Allegiant Stadium and has
only been rumored.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
To hit the sphere, but nothing was ever confirmed. Gotcha,
both of them are playing chess, not checkers. My headlines,
you got Strawberry.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Well, locally, it's a good thing that you took your
first trip to Alcatraz? Was it last summer? Last birthday?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Last year? For my birthday?

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Because I know Alcatraz may no longer be a tourist destination.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
That's what I've been saying.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
So President Donald Trump posted on social media he wants
to reopen the prison that's been closed since nineteen sixty three,
and he wants to reopen it right there in San
Francisco Bay to keep the quote dangerous criminals away.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
From anyone that if they would harm.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
He says he wants to substantially enlarge and rebuild it.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Okay, look how much is that gonna cost? So, because
you know that's gonna be yeah, our money. Yes, this
is true. This is perfectly fine with it being a
tourist attraction. I had a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
And here's the thing. If people can swim from Alcatraz
to San Francisco or vice versa, like as a sport,
they do it once a year, like, maybe it's not
as impenetrable as it once was like.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
People do that for fun. Maybe he'll CineMo just throw
some sharks in there. Yeah, fire breath and dragon.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
So book your your cruise to Alcatraz Island now before
it's filled with real life prisoners.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Then it'll be even better.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Never miss admitted with Strawberry and Lazette on Kiss one
oh seven point nine.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Stream live every afternoon from three to seven on me

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh seven
point nine. We've talked about wedding traditions earlier, right, like
which ones that we like, which ones we don't like. So,
as my beautiful fiance and I are slowly planning our wedding,
we're also kind of like picking apart traditions that we
want to keep her like we're not gonna.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Do oh yeah, it changes all the time.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
So Selena Gomez is engaged to Bennie Blanco. They are
doing away with the tradition of the first dance like
and now for the first time as man and wife,
mister and missus Selena and Bennie Blanco. She Selena is
doing it for a cool reason because her grandpa didn't
get to dance with his daughter. So essentially, Selena Gomez's

(11:34):
mom didn't get to dance with the grandpa because Selena
Gomez's mom did like a quick Las Vegas wedding, So
on their wedding whenever it is, Selena Gomez is going
to yield her first dance to give her grandpa and
her mom a chance to have their first father daughter
did their only father daughter dance.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
That's cute. I kind of like that.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Also, because Selena Gomez says that she's incredibly self conscious
and embarrassed when like people are looking at her.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Yes, sure, which is what she's at Disney Stars. She's like, perfect,
I don't have to do it now.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yeah, but she's also very shy, so she's like if
this gets eyeballs off me, cool even better?

Speaker 4 (12:11):
Yeah, Okay. I thought it was like.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
When this story started, like her mom didn't get to
do it, so she's not gonna do it. Also, I
was thinking in my head, like sucks to.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Be you, Like, you're not gonna take away my first dance.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Now she's volunteerily you could do it at the same time.
Sure they could, she just doesn't want.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
She also is gonna have to have a father daughter dance.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
This is true.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
You know the full show every afternoon, whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Giving you your daily dose of the good news stories.

Speaker 5 (12:45):

Strawberry and Lissa in the afternoon.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
A ninety year old woman named Barbie Keel is living proof.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
That compassion knows no limits, it has no age. It
all started when Barbie cared for a soldier's dog while
he was away, and the dog actually never left ended
up staying with her.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Soon she took in a few cats.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Now, for the past fifty four years, her sanctuary spans
twelve acres is home to one hundred and sixty cats, yes,
one hundred chickens yes, eighty rabbits, sixteen pigs, eight dogs,
and six horses.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
She has lived my life. I want to hat, no,
You're gonna be so jealous.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
I want to go full Caesar Milan's status and then
open my ranch or whatever house into like a sanctuary
where I just have a bunch of random animals.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
I immediately thought of you as I was reading this,
but she can't do it alone. She has an amazing
team of volunteers to support her and lend her a hand.
But make no mistake, Barbie again, ninety years old, still
gets up at seven.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Am every morning to care for her animals.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
She's dedicated her entire life to saving these animals and
caring for them.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
She's never taken a day off. She says. Her secret
is quote, hard work and a breakfast of beans every morning.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Oh okay, interesting, I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Send Strawberry and Lizette a talkback message while you stream
the new Kiss one O seven point nine on the
always free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Bonita, you just won one thousand dollars.

Speaker 6 (14:17):

Speaker 3 (14:22):

Speaker 4 (14:24):
You're the one doing all the work.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
You're listening, you're entering the keywords, and boom, you're a
thousand dollars richer now, Bonita.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
I can't believe I never win anything. Well, you can't
see that anymore, because now you're a winner.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
