Okay, So, Kim Kardashian testified in Paris this morning and
what's become the highest profile robbery trial France has seen
in decades, and she recounted the night that she was
robbed of ten million dollars of jewelry in her hotel
room in twenty sixteen by the Grandpa Robbers, basically a
group of old men. She showed up to court dressed
in all black, dripping in diamonds.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
Oh weird and uh she said it all started.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
She's talking about the night now when she heard stomping
outside of her hotel room at three am.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
She answered the door.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
She saw the concierge from downstairs handcuffed and he was
with two police officers. It was the robbers dressed as
police officers. So she's a little confused and one of
the robbers held here a point. The other one tied
her up, duct tape around her wrists, around her, angles,
zip ties everything.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
WHOA.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
And she said she only had a bathrobe on and
was completely naked underneath, and they're tugging at her legs
like she for sure thought she was going to get
assaulted and killed.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
But all they did was take her jewelry.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
They took her ring that Kanye gave her a watch
from her late father. It was a graduation present. And
then they left right so now she's alone.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
In the room. This part I've never heard before.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
She had to run her wrists under the sink water
to loosen up the duct tape.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
She got her wrist free.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
And then she hopped down the hallway to her Stylus room,
who was staying a floor below her, knocked on the door.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
They helped her get free.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
They went outside, hid in the bushes outside of the
hotel until Chris Jenner and the police arrived.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
WHOA.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
And then when they got there, Kim was still super
scared of the cops because she didn't know if those cops.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Were real or fake.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yeah, yeah, isn't that crazy? So that stuff that hasn't
been said in nine years, almost ten.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Years, first time hearing that, Like we heard what happened,
but we never really heard what like how she got
out of that.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
And this is only day one of the trial. Day
one more on the way.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yeah, well, definitely keep a close eye, keep you guys updated,
because this is going to be one of those big
trials right next to like the Diddy trial.

Sacramento's New Kiss one O seven point nine. It's Strawberry
and Lazette. Now we know they changed the name from
Twitter to X. I still call it Twitter though, Lazette. Yeah,
I call it Twitter with people who know it as Twitter.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
Depends on who I'm talking to, all right.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Rick and out grow if you call it Twitter or
X because I have some news about Twitter.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
I call it X when I'm talking about the site.
But when I'm talking about tweeding something.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Oh yeah, like gweet fair enough.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
The old logo that used to hang on the side
of the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco, like the Twitter Bird.
That sign was taken down in twenty twenty three, when
Elon changed the name to X.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
That sign is up for auction.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
You could own the original Twitter bird logo right now.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
The top bid is only twenty one thousand dollars.
Speaker 6 (03:12):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Is that all twenty one thousand dollars?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
So you're telling me that a hot cheeto shaped like
charzard was worth more than the Twitter logo?
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Yeah? How much was this cheato? Eighty seven thousand dollars?
Eighty seven the bird logo right now? Twenty one grand?
That's insane.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
They sold a banana that was duff tased with wall yeah,
for two million dollars?
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Is this true? How big is it? It was on
the side of the building, so it's a couple stories tall. Oh.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
If I was rich enough to afford to spend that
kind of money, I would buy it and then hang
it on my wall. But if it's not going to fit.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Do you know the name of the bird? Do you
know the name of the logo? Tweet close? Rick? Do
you think what do you think the name is?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
I was not aware, I was I just thought it
was called bluebird Larry.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
The bird name was Larry.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Bird name was Larry, after Boston Celtic's legend Larry bird.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
So that's weird.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
I did not know that.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Oh here it is the iconic bird weighs five hundred
and sixty pounds.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Oh yeah, No, I'm not buying something that I can't
move around whenever I want because I'm constantly rearranging things
in my house.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Yeah, that's six times as big as you like. You
don't need that ripping up your dry wall.
Speaker 1 (04:22):

And just for the record, none of these have ever
been boring yet. Okay, good, and here's your first time
hearing this story.
Speaker 7 (04:47):
Let's start some discovery in the backyard of this home.
Last week, Tempe police got a tip about the suspect,
Joseph Hill Junior's storing his father's body in a freezer.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
All right, coming in hot, what do you think stop
the storyer keeping?
Speaker 7 (05:01):
I need more detectives found the skeletal remains wrapped up
in a tarp, saran wrap and blankets.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
All right, this is found in a freezer in his
backyard in Arizona. Stop the story or keep going.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Oh my god, trigger.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Warning by the way, retroactively, keep going, okay.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
Hill Junior reportedly told police his father, Joseph Hill Senior,
took his last breath at a home four years ago,
and he bought a freezer the next day to store
his body. He wasn't on the deed and kept his
father in the freezer because he was worried about losing
the home.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Jesus Christ, this is dad's house. Dad died, kids.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Like, he didn't went and bought a freezer the next day.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Uh huh, Well, at least he did that because it's
from what I understand it, it's very hot out there.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
True, So stop the story or keep going, keep going
to fun.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
There was a fire at the home in June of
twenty twenty three and the freezer lost power. The freezer
into his trunk to bury the remains in the desert
several times, but there were always people there.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
So he's got this freezer with no power. His dad
can't bury it in the desert.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
I mean, if it's just bones, how bad could it be.
I think he put his dad in the freezer, like
right after the desert. That's right, I forgot about that part,
so okay.
Speaker 7 (06:19):
Keeping documents say the freezer has been in the backyard
without power over the last four to six months.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Oh uh huh oh no kind of nasty? Does it ends?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Is that?
Speaker 5 (06:36):
How it's over? You're stopping the story, so there's like, no,
there's no ending.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
It like went from here up here at climax, and
then it climax more and then it's like, well, now
it's just sitting there.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Take it over. We'll have to do that in a
part too. Oh the story full show every afternoon, whenever
you want.

do finally win. What are you gonna spend this money on?
Speaker 7 (07:16):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (07:16):
Probably put towards some bills.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
And I promised the kids that I would buy them
something special.
Speaker 3 (07:21):

you promise them something.

met Thomas Sheridan, a thirty five year old grown man
in the UK who lives off of bread, cereal and candy.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Oh those are the best three food groups that Let's
be honest.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
He's never had fruits, never had vegetables, meat or eggs.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
House he still alive. Apparently the mere.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Thought of these foods makes him feel so sick, and
he's been this way since he was eighteen months old.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
He just survives. This is his daily diet.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Two loaves of white bread, three bowls of cereal, and
some Haribo candy probably like gummy worms or something every day,
and then he just takes supplements to get the nutrients
that he's not getting from the food he should be eating.
But they can only be in flavors that he can
tolerate what. He's currently trying to raise eight thousand dollars
(08:32):
for hypnotherapy, hoping that it'll help him not be so
picky and he'll be able to enjoy other foods, real foods.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
But it's never dude. He's never had an in and
out burger. Nope. He's never had like a crab cake. Nope.
Oh my god, never had a crab boil. Never gonna
a sushi boil. No sushi, no pizza, no fried chicken.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
No.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
Oh, this guy's missing out. Nose.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
He eats gummy worms like he's missing out on, like Snickers, twigs,

Right before they went public with their relationship, and they're,
you know, getting back together, we had a shanty here
at the State Fair, remember she performed, So maybe like
behind the scene footage, like you and I are in
the background somewhere this reality show, like in the crowd,
like that's us right there by the.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
They would have been filming by then. No, I don't
think this became a thing until they got married and
had a baby, and then it became like a more interesting.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
You know, they missed their chance of having us in
the background. Then too bad. Well let you get strawberry.
Speaker 3 (10:15):

seven point.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Nine Sacramento's New Kiss one. I was seven point nine
strawberry less in the afternoon. Have you heard of and
would you go on a digital detox vacation.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
I've heard of digital detas when people stay off their
phone and their apps and everything.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
When I'm on vacation, I do that.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
I turn off my apps, away messages on all my
work emails. Don't I wouldn't do a vacation just for
a digital detox.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
So you wouldn't pay money to go on a specific
digital detox vacation.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
No, not what I can do it myself. But do
not disturb on places?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Do that?
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Places like that?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Okay, So digital detox vacations are becoming a thing.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
They're they're growing in popularity.
Speaker 8 (11:28):
So Hilton just released properties that well they're existing properties,
but the properties that you can go vacation at where
they don't have Wi Fi and they replace the TVs
with like board games.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
Okay, also no Netflix either. No Netflix. Oh.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
They also will take your phone and keep them like
upfront and guest services, so you won't have any social
media phone access or anything like that. Oh, just to
make people like be more in the now. Yeah, and
I feel the same way, Like I'm not going to
pay for that unless I was going to like a
Hilton property in Bora Bora or somewhere worth paying that
(12:10):
money and being in the now. Ats Yeah, but like
I'm not going to the Hilton like Stockton for you
to take my phone and make me play Monopoly in
my room, like it depends on where.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Yeah, I don't think I would pay for this.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
You get so much more out of your vacation or
even like your weekend when you don't have your cell
phone in front of your face, you don't have your
last topic front of your face.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
I also am a big like memory catcher, uh huh,
so I need the pictures and the videos and then
if I want to post some on social I'll do
it later. But like I like to have those memories,
so I don't think I would do well on vacation
without my phone.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Hey, anybody wants to go on a digital detox, give
me twenty bucks and your cell phone.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
I'll hold it for you until you get back.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Well, Girl Scouts.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Of Greater Iowa is celebrating its first official bilingual troop.
SO Troop five point thirty five in des Moines was
recognized as recognized at the annual Inspiring Women of Iowa Luncheon. Q.
Nearly eighty percent of the young girls in the group
speak Spanish as their first language.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Wow, the troop leader said quote. In des Moines alone,
more than twenty five.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Percent of the school age students speak Spanish at home,
so it was important that we were able to translate
that into a group of girls that are able to
connect with each other not just culture and developmentally, but
also linguistically.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
So this troop was it? A five point thirty five?
Speaker 3 (14:07):
Has twenty five members in it already, it's growing in popularity.
It currently has a wait list for girls Scouts to join.
I don't know if twenty five is the cap. I mean,
that's a lot of Scouts in right.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Oh, I don't know, is it. I don't know you
normally did you didn't do boy Scouts or something?
Speaker 3 (14:26):
I had boy Scouts. I don't remember how big my
troop was. I think we had like eight, oh, like
eight or ten?
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Okay, so twenty five is a lot. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Fundraising efforts are going on to support more bilingual staff
and programs within the organization.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
But that's great. So I love that.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Yeah, des Moines, Iowa with the I think the first, yeah,
first official bilingual girl Scout troupe.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
Weird that it's barely happening now and in Des Moines, Iowa.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Not Selina's full show every afternoon whenever you want.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
