(00:29):
Can you tell me once again payingour respects to the late great Jimmy Hendricks
with our intro music, We've gotCrosstown traffic this time. I believe we
introed with Voodoo Child on one ofour previous episodes. This song is off
of that same album, Electric Ladyland, released in nineteen sixty eight. I

(00:54):
believe just two years before Jimmy Hendricksis untimely death, very tragic, And
I'm back with Dylan Sash And theheadline of today's episode is that we're so
back. Dude, gotta call theback department. Baby, we got a
file acclaim we're back. We're sobad. We're making our return. We've
been off. I mean it's beena delay. I can't lie it's been
I mean we started classes what likeAugust twenty first or second, so yeah,

(01:19):
it's almost been two months, butwe got loaded schedules. I'm completely
overwhelmed and drowning and work. Butit's fine. I agree, Yeah,
I agree, yeah, it's youknow, we'll get by. We're making
it work as we go along withour school years and we finally happen to
find some time because what would happenwith me is Dylan, I'd be thinking

(01:41):
about reaching out to you, butthen I'd go, oh, I have
this thing to be studying, andI have this homework assignment, this project,
and so it all just overloads. But then as time went on,
I'm like, there's never going tobe a time when I'm super comfortable to
just do it, So you justgot to jump in. No, I
totally agree, Like I'm hammered withLa Cross stuff right now. But at
the same time, like whether Iget it done tonight or do it tomorrow

(02:04):
during the day doesn't make a difference. And I know the lovely listeners out
there have been itching for another episode, so why not push that off.
I mean they'll be I'll be fine, Like we need to get back to
our listeners. Absolutely, we're back. By popular to me, well,
we're just we're just back. Wehave we're we're doing what we love.
This is Studio three thirteen. I'mDeuce, son of common man Dan Cole,

(02:27):
Minnesota's most prominent radio gad fly,and I'm here with Dylan Sash,
my good, fantastic, best everfriend. Oh it's so sweet Dan,
just this beautiful ginger man sitting acrossfrom me, and we're here to talk
about a little of diss, alittle of dat, and pretty much everything
someone could ask for on a podcast. Now that's where I'm at. We're

(02:50):
gonna do a brief recap of oursummers, and we got to keep it
brief because we got some other stuffto tackle today. But Dylan Sash,
let me let me hear the mostfun thing you did this song or whether
it was a trip or a jobor whatever, what's the most fun thing
you did. Yeah. So thissummer I did absolutely nothing, so true,
so true. All I did wasschedule lacrosse stuff and grind out lacrosse,

(03:10):
which, hey, it's a bigreward internally, right there. I
mean right like we talked about iton the on the episode of the podcast
before the Big Lacrosse Guy, Bigusually lacrosse guy. It's a thing now
that I'm president. Oh yeah,I got more duties there with that.
It's all I did over the summer. It was basically wake up, go
do my research, job research tillfive, go to the gym. And

(03:32):
if I wasn't at the gym,I was working on lacross stuff or sleeping
because I was working in a fieldand it was hot, tired, sweaty
gross. Yeah. Bye, Ihad a good time though. I had
a good time though. So whatare like, just briefly, what are
like some of your duties managing thelacrosse team. Oh, Like, right
now up on the computer, whichobviously you guys can't see, what I've
got posted is I've got the groupme open. That is just my main

(03:55):
form of communication with the whole team. Sure, I have a zoom link
open from a prior meeting that Ihad last night. I've got our MCLA
website so you can see all theteam all that information. I've got an
email open that I'm working on aresponse for. I've got some finding different
links for gear and whatnot to buy, but also looking at like apparel for

(04:19):
like our our team stores and thingslike that. I mean, majority of
it is if something happens within theclub, I at least put a hand
on it before it goes somewhere. So pretty much everything. The only thing
that I can say this year wholeheartedly, one that I haven't had any input
on, sure, is our offensivescheme. Now, obviously obviously I'm not

(04:40):
going to air that out. Idon't I'm not going to talk about this
on the air, Like different topicfor a different time. I don't need
Minnesota and Iowa State to know whatoffenses. We can't game plan. Man,
we got to keep that to keepthat on the downloads. Oh key,
that's off the record. Off therecord. Cut that, cut that
right now. But the only thingis that I mean, I play defense.
I mean that's my game plan.Like, that's that's all I care

(05:00):
about. And a defense is prettysimple, pretty easy, right, And
we run the same thing that wealways run just because that's what everyone else
runs. It's kind of hard toswitch up a defense more so like the
just changing where your assistance comes from. But at the same time, the
scheme is the same. So he'shandling the logistics, he's running the defense,
he's doing everything the lacrosse club couldask him to do. That's that

(05:23):
is the club lacrosse team president.Mister Dylon sash some of my my summer,
so he was doing a lot ofworking and a lot of lacrosse playing
and organizing. My summer was notas work intensive as mister Dylon sashes all
no work I did well, Idid, Yeah, I did quite a
bit of play and not a wholelot of work. I took up my

(05:43):
summer job at the Tamarack Taproom,a bar and griller restaurant in Woodbury for
a couple months before I left forOxford, the University of Oxford, ever
in England, travel across the pond, and I got my education in Oxford
for for a month. To say, I was getting my education for four
weeks. I took a class inpolitical economy and I took one course in

(06:05):
international economics. And it was brilliantour professors. It was a guy named
doctor Holmes, doctor Martin Holmes, and a guy named doctor Horsewood, doctor
Nick Horsewood, and Horsewood that ishis name. And these spelled like Horsewood,
Yes, literally just spelled like Horsewood, Horsewood. It was a fantastic

(06:25):
They all have accents. They well, there were plenty of accents to go
around. Holmes had a good homeshad a pretty thick accent, but Horsewood's
it was very thick. I thinkwith a name like that, you have
to have a good action. Ohyeah, he's he's he's a bridge.
Just lathering it on on top ofeven if it isn't that strong. I
mean, you're just throwing it outthere because you're like my last name is

(06:46):
horsewood. What do you expect? He's a brit if you've ever seen one.
And the lecturing was just so phenomenal. These teachers they put professors,
they put so much emotion into whatthey're doing. They were so passionate about
the topics, especially home. Heput his heart and soul into some of
those lectures, and I loved everyminute of lectures. That's you know,
the program is brilliant when when youenjoy the studying as well as the many

(07:09):
activities that they had planned for us, because basically every day we went out
and did something. We did thisthing called punting, which is basically where
it's it's kind of like paddleboarding, except you get like a big pole and
it reaches all the way down tothe bottom of the river. It's not
very deep, but you just likepush yourself forward along the river. And
there was a sport that they hadn'tcalled rounders, which is like it's like

(07:32):
baseball but for British people. Soyou have like just play the American sport.
Just do it the right way.You you how do I even explain
it? You have someone I thinkthey just pitch it, yeah, yeah,
yeah, someone just like underhand pitchesit to you, and instead of
like a big bat, you havejust like a tiny wooden stick. It's

(07:55):
like roughly a foot long, maybelike as you're going house. I went
house a couple of times. Youjust after they pitch it, you just
whack it, and then you runaround the bases. It's not like first,
second, third, and then homeplay it like American Baseball. For
Rounders. It's just like first, second, third, and fourth base and
then you run on home. Andit was a lot of fun. So

(08:16):
I would say that's almost identical tothe bases and nearly identical. It's literally
just copy and pasted and they callit Rounders, which is fun, and
it's just it is kind of agoofy name because you're round the bases,
because you round the bass brav It'sjust so yeah, I don't know,
I think the name is kind ofbizarre, but it was super fun.

(08:37):
Nonetheless, the program was fantastic.I enjoyed getting to know more about the
history of the town I was.I went inside a pub that J.
R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis just hung out back
in the day, and I wentanother pub that Shakespeare hung out at,
and I went in a pub whereBill Clinton allegedly dabbled with the devil's lettuce
in the bug in the pub allegedly. It's it's kind of a legend.

(09:01):
I don't know if it's true,but it's a legend. It was just
there's got to be a picture onthe wall. For there's there's got to
be a picture. But the factthe experience was fantastic regardless, And I
went to Italy for a week afterand it was just beautiful. I want
did you do it all through theschool? No, Italy was solo Italy.
I just did on my own.And the language bear was more of
a problem than I thought it wouldbe, But I still had a great

(09:22):
time. I could get around easyenough and order from restaurants. Have a
lot of tourists in the in theChinquiterre region that I've as long as you
as long as you stayed pretty local, right, didn't didn't like try and
dive all the way in there.Like if you stayed in a relatively open
region, you're probably fine, exactly. But there's our summers. Yeah,
some solid summer recaps. As faras school goes, it's just school,

(09:46):
man. I'm I'm tired of talkingabout school. I've had enough of it
with this crazy week where I'm wrappingup some eight week journalism courses. It's
it's just a bunch of nonsense. You got to talk about it and just
antsy for that fall. Yeah,it's right around the corner. It's right
here. But before we get there, we got to talk about sports.
Sports. Sports. Your whole lifeis sports, all right, pretty much,

(10:07):
That's kind of what we made thispodcast to do. And we're gonna
kick it off with Nebraska's most famousand successful team, their football team.
No you wish volleyball, baby,Nebraska volleyball is amazing. We're so back.
I think we've never left. Yeah, we Nebraska has entered the the

(10:31):
elite tier of volleyball teams across thecountry, and we haven't left in a
minute. We are doing phenomenal thisyear? Are we? Fifteen? And
oh? Fifteen? I think wehave a perfect fifteen and oh record?
Fifteen and oh we've won six ofour conference games. Right. We play
Michigan State tomorrow, gonna win thatbecause we already beat them, right,
I mean, like the volleyball teamis just kicking ass. It's phenomenal.

(10:54):
They are not stopping I mean, like obviously, like last year, you
know pretty good, you know,we made it. I believe it was
semi finals is where we got knockedout, either quarter or Semis to Oregon,
was it. I think we lostto orgon leave it was Semis because
I remember watching it during work onetime. Okay, I believe it was
Semis and we lost there, whichlike like like you really hate to see

(11:16):
that. Yeah, but we didn'tlose anyone, right, if I remember
correctly, we didn't lose like anyonemajor that was like so imperative to us
being super super successful. Yeah,I believe we retained a lot of our
talented players and that's certainly helping us, and it's gonna help us. I
think the game that I'm going to, I'm gonna invest in a ticket because
I've never been to a Nebraska volleyballgame. There's so far, which is

(11:37):
a shame. But I'm going togo to Nebraska Wisconsin. It's a week
from this Saturday on October twenty first, number one Wisconsin versus number two Nebraska.
It's gonna be fantastic. And thetickets I'm sure are selling for you
know, you got you gotta, you gotta give up on somewhere leg to
get them. Yeah. Well, even like the student tickets are pricey,

(11:58):
they're pricey to get, like justsitting the student section. But I think
this is worth the investment. It'sgoing to be a fantastic game. I'm
gonna cock off to all my Madisonfriends if we if we pull off the
duve, it's you have to Andthe most eventful part of Nebraska's season so
far, I would argue, isthe world record that we set. Let's
talk about true a world record. How many we had ninety two thousand three

(12:22):
fans, two thousand and three fansin Memorial Stadium for a volley not a
football game, a volleyball game, and the atmosphere was crazy. I admittedly
I did not stay till the bitterend because I guess I've gone a little
soft and I can't help but Iwas it was just a boring game because
Daniel stayed through any full game,I gotta bounce out early. I just

(12:45):
I just I just can't help it. I mean, we were playing Omaha
and look like they were good, like it was fun to watch, but
it was just boring. I didn'tfeel like we were in danger of losing.
No disrespect to the volleyball team ofOmaha, but like were some really
talented Yeah, but we're the numbertwo team in the country, so it
just wasn't very entertaining. At thattime we were the number four, not
to count the specifics. But nowwe're number two and we're gonna be number

(13:09):
one after we beat Wisconsin. Butthe world record game, right, we
will. The world record game wasfantastic. The atmosphere was insane. Nebraska
fans are some of the most passionatepeople out there, and the vibes are
just incredible. It was so funwatching the volleyball players walk out of the
tunnel instead of the football team.It was just like something so different.
It was just not gonna lie watchingthem walk out. We was so funny

(13:31):
because like, yeah, like thevolleyball teams, like for most of them,
like when they do like the introductions, they you know, like they
are already been on the court kindof warming up doing their thing. Yeah.
And for volleyball day, they warmup, were warming up on the
court and so like they were likealready out there and kind of doing their
thing. Yeah. And then theywent back into the locker room right and
did a walk out show, whichlike obviously, like I totally get it,

(13:52):
Like this is like one of youronly times where like you really can
do that, So I totally getit. But it was like so awkward
watching because they were so awkward inthemselves. Yeah, yeah, like you've
had the camera put in your facebefore, but all of them are like
sitting there like this man has followedus for the past yeah, three minutes.
The camera has been there the wholestaring, and he's I mean like

(14:13):
and he's doing his job and he'sdoing a great job, right, And
all of them are just kind oflike, where is this stadium? Where
are we going put me on thecourt? They? You know, at
Devane you're playing in front of whatlike sixteen thousand? Maybe maybe less?
I mean maybe is it more likeI had a quick research. Maybe maybe
I'm thinking of a different stadium.I thought it was somewhere around there.
Maybe it's more like eight thousand andnine thousand. I could be wrong,

(14:37):
though. We got a Dylan Satfourteen thousand, So fourteen thousand, that's
like that's a fairly big crowd, but ninety two thousand is a totally different
level. So I'm sure they werejust walking out there like, oh my
goodness, we are about to playvolleyball in front of all of these people.
It didn't affect their play on thecourt though, because they dominated.
And yeah, I remember watching likeobviously after it happened, and I talked

(14:58):
about the who thing and they're like, yeah, Like it was kind of
a crazy feeling because like normally youget like, you know, the cheers,
and the cheers stop, and theytalked about how like we would keep
cheering and you would you just hearthe residual echo from us in the stadium.
But then also, like ninety twothousand people is hard to just quiet,

(15:18):
right, So like that's not necessarilysomething that you want to do or
not necessarily that you can, butyou just can't do that, Like ninety
two thousand people will never just besilent or quiet enough not happening. But
I don't know, I just Ithink it's funny. The atmosphere was just
fantastic. Nebraska balled out and wewere out a world record, and you
and who was in the You werein an ESPN headline for Yeah, there's

(15:41):
an ESPN headline photo where you seethe back of my head and it's me
and Braiden. It's Braiden, Okay, Braiden, So it's me Braiden.
And then you can kind of seeTrevor in between us in front of us,
and Andrew is like you can seethat it's his shoulder, and obviously,
oh yeah, I see it becauseit's me. H Like, because

(16:02):
you can see everyone else, right, you would just like assume that it's
that it's him, right, Butthat was like the photo that they used,
which is so funny, like thebig like, oh my god,
is literally just the fact that youjust see my red curly mop just sitting
there and you're like, this canbe no one else. Folks. If
you want to see a picture ofDylan Sash's lovely ginger locks, just look

(16:26):
up Nebraska Volleyball sets world record forwomen's sports attendance and click on the ESPN
article that was published on August thirtieth, earlier this year, and you will
find a picture of Dylan's luscious gingerlocks. It sticks out like a sore
thumb. It's on the bottom rightcorner, yeah, bottom right corner,
and you can also see a littlebit of Andrew, Trevor and Braiden.

(16:47):
Fantastic Nebraska volleyball is back. I'msuper pumped for the Wisconsin game and I'm
excited for the whole season. Now. To talk about the slightly less successful
Nebraska team, I would still saythat were successful. We've had some great
wins. It hasn't been a badseason by any means. Well, the
fact that we're three and three rightnow, if you didn't pick up on
it, we're talking about the footballteam now, absolutely, But the fact

(17:11):
that we're three and three, Imean, it's like, in my opinion,
like we lost our two best runningbacks due to injury. Yeah,
out for the season, our twooldest most experienced back Washington. Washington's gone,
Marcus Washington. That is he outfor the full year? Yeah,
I believe. Let me double check, but I believe. I saw when

(17:32):
did that happen. That's a crushingbecause maybe, yeah, done for the
season. Torn a cl playing againstIllinois. Dang, I didn't even hear
about that. Well, that freshmanis now pushed to the forefront. I
don't know who they're talking about,Okay, but well, yeah, no,
it's he's he's done for In thefact that I mean like obviously,
like yeah, like your a clis very important. It's just I mean,

(17:56):
like it's terrible that it happened, right, but it's just one of
those things, like he was likea pivotal part of the offense. He
was huge, but I mean hewas our best receiver as far as I
can. I mean, Billy Kemphas solid to but he was. He
was. He was our top guy. He was. Doesn't Kemp play both?
Doesn't he go running back and mostlyreceiver. He may have lined up

(18:17):
at running back for a few snaps, but either way, our offense.
I mean that that's been the issueof the season. It's like it's like
the numbers don't lie. We wereout of every Big Ten team. We're
dead last in points per game andoh yeah that it's scheme last though,
what we're not last, We're justlast for points. We're just we're just

(18:38):
last for points. That's that's whatWe'll leave it out. We're last points
per game three and are they ownedthree? In the Big Ten and the
Big Ten they're owing three and we'reone and two. So hey, we're
not we're not lasting the Big TenWest, I believe. Yeah, Illinois
in the West, right, Yeah, we're not. We're not lasting the
Big ten West, just just lastingpoints per game. But the offense is
what's been the underlying issue for thisteam. Obviously f Sims. The first

(19:00):
couple of games, the Jeff Simmsarrow was rough. It was it was
tough to watch. It's really unfortunateis that you can still go to Amigos
and get the Jeff Sims meal. Then Jeff Simms it's like three. First
of all, it's a terrible meal. It's like three soft tacos a burrito.
Then like their version of like thepotato lays and it's like nine to

(19:25):
fifty. And what we're talking about. For those who who don't know what
Amigos is, Amigos is uh.It's a beloved Mexican joint around with multiple
locations around Link. There's there's acouple of them, and there's a couple
in like Omaha, and there's acouple here. It's like a step above
T. Bell. I would sayit's more expensive, it's more yeah,

(19:45):
but it's it's better than T BellI would at least I would say on
a TV regardless on Sunday nights, you go there and get the six dollars
inch a out of dinner. It'sfantastic. But I mean, if we're
being if we're being if we're beinghonest here, if we're going to go
get food and it's any time,I mean we're going daily. Yeah,
yeah, daily. I live acrossthose three from DA. Is that that's
dangerous for that bank account? No, my bank account. Oh, it's

(20:07):
already felt it. BA. Iwas there last night. I'm there all
the time. I'm there all thetime. It's it's not quite because they
have so many employees. True,I guess, but I didn't think about
that. But anyway, the JeffSimms meal a meal made for this for
this poor quarterback who just he hehad trouble hanging out to the snaps and
he was his decision making too.Every time he dropped back to pass,

(20:29):
I got really nervous and that andthen like even when he'd run, Yeah,
even when he run, you werelike like yeah, like unlike well
like unlike Harburg, harborg ate thosefirst couple, first couple, you know,
games plays, opportunities got just tosoak those hits when he went in
there, right, But like Simswas just it's just like every single time

(20:49):
I was out there, I waslike, he's just gonna fumble the ball,
like you were just gonna watch thisball pop out of here, And
yeah, sure enough it happened acouple of times. Yeah, I I
got nervous watching him and and Iguess my nerves and my senses were correct.
He had very rough games to startout, and we've now got how
do you say his name? HeinrichHarberg. Heinrich Harberg at quarterback. The

(21:10):
hometown hero. Is he Lincoln orhe's he's from Carney, Carnea, so
he's he's from a city that's threehours west of Lincoln, roughly three hours,
two hours, two hours if you'redriving like Dylansas is only two hours.
But we got Heinrich Harberg at theHelm right now, and he's been
pretty good. We play this weekend, we have a bye, but then
on October twenty first, the sameday as the Wisconsin game, we play

(21:33):
Northwestern at our place. And that'sa very that's a very game. Then
no, I'll go I'll go tothat game. I might just go back
to back. That might just bemy that might be my big Husker weekend.
Because Northwestern's a winnable game. Northwesternis not a great team. Any
challenge they've faced against any legitimate competition. They've been beat down pretty bad.

(21:53):
Yeah, they got roughed up byPenn State pretty good. And I don't
remember who they play in their lastgame, but with Western, they played
Howard Howard and they I don't evenknow who Howard is, but I mean
I don't either. They beat him, so I can't describe it. Three
and they they had a heroic comefrom behind win against Minnesota. I can't

(22:15):
discredit that either, but I don'tview Minnesota as a particularly threatening team.
They played seventeenth rank Duke and gotdemolished. I think this is a very
winnable game for the West Northwestern draftis Yeah. Is is Nebraska a surefire
win in this game coming up?No? I don't think so. I

(22:37):
don't think there are any surefire winson our schedule. They're all big ten
games against opponents. Not all ofthem are like Michigan and Ohio state level,
but they're quality teams. I don'tthink it's a lock for a win,
but it's certainly a winnable game,and I think that I think we're
gonna win. I think we're gonnago in and get the job done.
I think that my boy Heinrich isjust gonna ball out. Heinrich Harberg for

(22:59):
heisman, Rick Harberg heisman. Sowell, Calm triple h. Yeah,
calm triple h. The alliteration works. That's it. It was meant to
be. It was meant to be. And our defense has been coming up
clutch for us. So our defensehas been taking Our defense has been fantastic.
As my old Lacross coach would say, defense is just standing on their
head right now. I mean Iget it, like they they have been

(23:22):
like there's very like those vital momentsto swing the favor, like swing the
game in our favor. I mean, defense has been there and they are
making it happen. I mean, majority of the time we held Illinois to
seven points. I believe a prettypretty fantastic defensive performance in that game.
Particularly. I feel that the offensehas been kind of streaky, but the

(23:42):
defense seems to be improving each week. I mean, was it Luke Raymer
who got banged up and he's out? Yeah? He is? He also
the season. No, I don'tbelieve, so I'll hit the double check
again. But he he dislocated hisshoulder and playing against not ill Wait,
yeah, I think this was acouple of weeks ago. It would have
been Elie. No, it wouldhave been a Michigan, Michigan, Michigan.

(24:04):
Yeah. It was the home game. Yeah, I think you're right
in that. And he he gothe got dinged up, and I don't
know if he's out for the year, but he is certainly our best defensive
player, at least, if notbest, one of the best. And
that was a big loss. Butwe've had some young guys step up,
and the defense looks tight. IfHarbor can keep running the ball, and

(24:27):
we can have some receivers step upto the plate for Harborg, then we're
going to be in a good spot. But the offense is the big question.
It's been not great this year,to say the least. And I
hope that hopefully our young running backs. We got Emma Johnson, he's been
getting some touches, he got somecarries against Illinois. He look pretty good.
I'm I'm hoping that, you know, the young running backs, the

(24:48):
young receivers can step up and makeit happen for us out there, because
our defense has certainly been balling sodouble checking it was the La Tech game
that he got, Okay, Iheard I was going to say, I
feel like he's been out of it, and then he was out with Michigan
and Illinois, and the Michigan gamethey said that he was potential to come
back, didn't Illinois. I thinkit's smart that he stays out because they

(25:11):
say that the Illinois game was witha non football related illness, so he
I mean, maybe my guy wasjust you know, a little down under
the weather. But it says thatwe should expect him for the Northwestern game,
which I think will be big help. And I think it's probably more
one of those same thing, samething they did with Sims where they said
Sims has currently struggling with the handinjury or whatever he said, so they

(25:32):
had an excuse to put Harborg in. Yeah, and obviously he did what
he did, balled out Sims, and I will I would like to say
this, We're not that we're likediscrediting Sims. I mean, right,
he's a good quarterback, but it'sjust like the decisions he was making were
not great. No, and forhow the team was and for for the
way that Matt Rule is running andthe offense and wants it to be set
up. Now, that's just notgoing to cut it. He earned a

(25:56):
spot. He was the best quarterbackin training camp, but when it when
it came time to play the game, he just he just didn't perform up
to standards. And it's no disrespect, it's just it's just how it goes.
If you're not hitting that benchmark, you're you're not gonna play. But
yeah, Harbor has stepped up.Rhymer coming back is a huge help.
Our defense could be lights out ifRhymer's back. Yeah, but I mean,
like you got to think about it, like the field. Like the

(26:18):
nice part about our defense is,you know, not not to quote,
but to quote my boy Jameis Winston. You know, a no pups here,
big dogs only, big dogs onlywere big dogs. That's a fantastic
way to put it. And Ilove that that locker room speech is so
funny to me because he's here iswhen he says it too. He's in
there and he's like, we're outon the field, you know, we're

(26:40):
big dogs, puffs and everyone's justlike, brilliant, what is this man
talking about? I don't remember ifI remember. They were playing Georgia,
so like it makes sense, youknow, like you're the bull dogs.
You want to be dogs. It'sstill so funny. But like I said,
we've got a lot like Isaac Gifford. I mean he's a menace,
yeah, big Lamar Brown menace.Luke Rymer, he's a menace. Granted

(27:02):
he's coming back, so but wheneven when he was out, like we
were still doing all right, obviouslywe could like there's a noticeable gap there.
Right, our secondary is probably notto discredit them again, but they're
probably the weakest part of our Agree. We got Quintin Newsome back there.
He's our top defensive back and he'ssolid, but overall that's probably the area
that's locking most. But hey,we held Illinois to seven points last week,

(27:22):
so good. I'm not discredited toany of those guys. Looking at
some good stats, I mean,as a team, we've got fourteen sacks
on the season, which is reallygood. Fourteen is real sack. That's
fourteen sacks for a loss of onehundred and four yards, okay. And
then we've got twenty five tackles forlosses five for one hundred and twenty seven
yards okay. And we've got fourinterceptions on the season, four interceptions,

(27:44):
four picks, so four picks fora secondary that I don't even think is
the best part of the defense.Noest, Yeah, our defense is looking
great, our offense is tightening up, and I think we're back. I
would say that we are. Iwouldn't say that we're back, but I
wouldn't say that we've left. We'renot done yet. We're not done yet
yet. It's I think we ain'tdone yet. Nebraska football hoping to make

(28:07):
a bowl game run, potentially, and now it's time to make our way
over to the professional football the NationalFootball League, where of course the headline
is the MotorCity Kids. Would Iwould just like to say that, as
much as I hate it, Detroitis kind of back right now. Detroit

(28:27):
is so back. This being thisbeing the We're So Back episode, Detroit,
Detroit is kind of back. It'sit's really strange to watch because let
me tell you something, I've beena fan of this Detroit club for I
can't say twenty years, because Iwas still a Vikings fan in my youth

(28:49):
youth. But I've been a fanof him for a while, and all
I've seen is pain and misery andstruggle. I'd say for about the past
seven seven years. I'd say sevenyears is probably how long I've moved for
the line seven eight years. AllI've seen is misery. Okay, but
we look phenomenal. Well, Imean, I guess the team we just

(29:11):
destroyed was the Panthers. The onlywinless team in the league was the Panthers.
But we looked great. What arewe supposed to do to a terrible
team? You're supposed to go outand you are supposed to put up numbers,
which it's like if you guys hadwon by like if the score had
been twenty eight twenty four, we'rehaving a completely different story, right,
But the fact that you still putup forty I believe we won forty two
to twenty four. It was abig win. It bigen like that proves

(29:33):
and same like you beat the Packersto division their division rivals, aren't they
or are they just there's a bitof a rival r anywhere. Either way,
it's two teams that don't like eachother. But that's so true,
and that's just how it's going tobe. Always. You put up you
put up on the Falcons, right, although like season looked rocky, not
to say rocky, but you knowthat first that first loss, because it
was it was overtime. It was, yeah, overtime against overtime against Seattle,

(29:56):
against a team that at the timeI thought they were bad because they
got destroyed by the Rams at homereally early in the season. And the
Rams didn't look promising at the time. So when we lost to Seattle,
I admit I when we went toone and one, because I believe Seattle
made it one and one our record, I thought, well, tying to
jump off the bandwagon. It's fallingapart. WCF Women and Children First.

(30:18):
It's on the side of their uniforms. It does not stand for William clay
Ford. It stands for women andChildren First, when you're hopping off the
collapsing bandwagon. And that's what Iwas prepared to do. But we look
great. Yeah, I mean, there's definitely, there's definitely comeback happening.
The Detroit Lions are off to afour and one start this season, by
record, their best start since goingfive and oh at the beginning of guess

(30:41):
what season last time? When didwe last start five and oh? What
season do you think that was?How long? Five? And oh?
Oh god? Maybe like that seventiesthe seventies, sir. The dis was
effect is unreal. It wasn't thatlong ago, but it was a while.

(31:03):
It was two thy eleven the lasttime we started five and oh,
so not quite as long as youwould think. But let's put it this
way. The last time the Lionsstarted eight and oh, I was probably
five and oh last time they startedfive and oh eleven, I was.
I was probably doing multiplication tables andmiss Midas's second grade class. That's probably
what I was doing the last timewe started five and oh. So this

(31:26):
is unreal. And according to ESPN, three Lions wins in a row by
double digits. It's the first timethat's happened since nineteen ninety seven. I
wasn't even around. I wasn't alive. We're looking at We're a very balanced
team, is what I've noticed.Like when I when I watch a when
I watch a football game two footballteams that don't like each other very much.

(31:48):
I try and find out, youknow, what are the best best
aspects of the team. And usuallythere's not a clear winner, but you
can kind of you can kind ofjust tell after watching a full game or
two, the look great on bothends of the ball. Jared Goff is
disrespected that Rock he's slinging the rockreal well. He looks phenomenal. I

(32:08):
like what he's doing with the ball. Our offense is fantastic. I think
I don't know about Jamiir Gibbs.I was kind of disappointed in not seeing
him get touches. I believe he'shurt now, but David Montgomery's balling,
so I can't complain. We're runningthe ball well. A manra Saint Brown
is fantastic. I think we getJamison Williams back on our team either this

(32:30):
week or next week. He gotknocked out for a little bit of the
season due to gambling controversies all that. But you hate to see that one
happen. You hate to see it. Not great, and I think we're
back. The only competition that Ithought we were going to have in the
division was the Packers. But didyou see how awful the Packers played on

(32:52):
Monday night against Vegas? Do youknow what happened in that game? Nothing
really happened. But just like thegeneral story, I didn't watch anything this
week. I've been way too busywith trying to just get everything done.
So fair, let me tell youwhat happened. Jordan Love threw no touchdowns,
three interceptions, three picks, andlook, I always he's a rookie

(33:15):
quarterback and you can't hate maybe youknow the primetime jitters. You know,
you're still getting accustomed to how theleague goes the issues, my issues.
He's technically not a rookie because he'splayed snaps before. Yeah, done that
before. That's true. I guessIpology is not a rookie. But and
like I don't want to like thisis gonna sound so bad, but I

(33:36):
mean I think everyone looked at himand he started off kind of hot,
right, I mean, like hethey really did, Like the peckers didn't
suck, right, but they weren'tgreat, Like they weren't doing that.
Everyone kind of just was like,oh my god, Like Jordan Love is
going to beat Aaron Rodgers because hedid the same thing, sat it back
up, and then, you know, because Aaron Rodgers set it back up
for Beth vv and he's like,oh when he when he leaves, like,
well, he'll sling the rock andthey'll do what he wants and it

(33:59):
won't matter. Well, obviously, this is starting to prove that you'd still
actually got to be a functioning likepart of the offense to have that go
green Bay got I think green Baygot way too excited, way too quickly.
I saw, you know, Ifollow Packers fans on Instagram. I
have some friends are who are fansof Packers. You know, they say

(34:19):
go pack Go. I say no, Pack No, and we move on
with life. But they were postingon their Instagram stories and whatnot, you
know, posts about the Packers. You know, reposting like we love you
Jordan Love, like we're back thePackers, like we got our next Aaron
Rodgers, and I was like, guys, let's pump the brakes. He
dominated the Chicago Bears, and theChicago Bears are quite possibly the most violent

(34:44):
dumpster fire in the league at thismoment. Besides, I don't know,
the Giants are pretty bad. ThePanthers haven't won a game. There's bad
teams, but the Bears are certainlyone of the worst. Looking better,
yeah, but one of the worst. Are definitely struggling because they got demolish
thirty eight twenty thirty to twenty.Who was that against? That was Packers?
That was home That was our firstgame, Yeah, that was that
was Packers. I think at demolished, you know, thirty eight twenty right,

(35:04):
and then the Bears go play Buccaneers. They lose twenty seven to seventeen,
so putting up points. Then theyplayed the Chiefs. That was ugly.
Get that was ugly. I watchedthe first half of that ten.
I remember that one because if Iremember Gurgley, Travis Kelsey han maybe two
touchdowns, yeah, Travis Kelsey ballthat it was. It was thirty five
nothing or something at half. Itwas just an ugly and then the Bears

(35:25):
absolutely choked against the Bronco yea,oh god, twenty eight twenty eight.
How do you lose thirty one totwenty eight. I don't know how big
was their lead. It was likeat least three touchdows. It maybe been
like a twenty one to twenty fourpoint lead. And they made the Broncos
look like the twenty twenty two Vikingsagainst the Colts. They made them look

(35:45):
fantastic. Win. First quarter wentDenver seven, right, second quarter it
was twenty one seven, Okay, then it was seven to seven, so
you know, twenty eight fourteen, twenty eight fourteen, I'm assuming that's a
that's winnable. In the third quarter, right, Denver puts up seventeen.
Yeah, outrageous, just really sad. And then I think I think the

(36:07):
week after that, the week afterthat, the Bears played the Commanders and
they won pretty handily. Justin fieldslooked great. DJ Moore won forty.
DJ Moore won numerous people's fantasy gamessingle handedly. He had like three touchdown
catches over two hundred yards. Correctly, Brayden, obviously I don't believe that

(36:27):
you're in our league. No,he didn't make didn't make the cut.
No, I'm not I'm not ahuge fantasy that. But but what about
Yeah, Braden Braiden ended up completelyclutching up because he uh, I'm pretty
sure he dropped like thirty four pointsor thirty seven points, right, what
same with like when Miami, likewhen they dropped the seven Yeah, and
you're just like Tyreek Hill only atthirty some points and some random mass off

(36:50):
the bench dropped that up fifty twopoints or whatever it was. I know
for those wondering, when we playedin a PPR league, So I think
those are PPR points, right,But just insite that's still like that's crazy,
Like that's not normal. My best, I think my best so far
was probably let me look at this, probably either my Metcal or my Deebo.

(37:12):
Samuel's put up some really good points. Okay with t Bass shined Bright
won me the game one uh,like I think it was my second week
won me the game because he hadlike twenty two points as a kicker,
which is like what happened, whichis like great obviously, like if you
have Joe Burrow as a quarterback, that sucks because that's not what you want
to hear. Yeah, but itwas like two touchdowns and the rest of

(37:34):
the points were we know, fieldgoals, so I mean he had or
I guess that that math doesn't addup, so it would have been like
twenty three Yeah, two touchdowns andseven field goals. Like that's that's all
the points. Fantasy is unpredictable,it's it's all over. You never know
what's coming. But the Bears theyplay the Vikings this coming week, and

(37:55):
I want to segue this into Iwant I want to make some comments on
the Vikings because I think it's oneof the most tragic stories in the NFL
this year. The Bears are playingthe Vikings this week, and the Vikings
up to this point are what's therecord, They're one and four. They're
one and four. It's it.It's not good they beat the Panthers.

(38:17):
Other than that, they've lost insome real close battles, all one score
games, which is very ironic becauselast year they were eleven to zero in
one score games and now they haven'twon a single game that's decided by one
score. I guess technically the Panthersthey won by eight. If you get
a touchdown two point conversion, Iguess you can count that as one score,

(38:37):
but I'm thinking seven or less. And JJ's out. He's what did
he get hurt with? Justin?Justin Jefferson j jedis injury. It is
late, wasn't it? Hamstring?Hamstring injury? So he's out for at
least four games. He's on their and the Vikings offense, the main

(39:00):
thing that's been keeping them in gamesis now going to be at a significant
handicap. They're not going to beable to Kirk's not gonna be able to
throw the ball around like he usuallycan. That's it, and I think
that's that'll that will really come tothe point of like proving like where you
are. Like obviously, like Minnesotahas played well in most and like most
of their games, like obviously they'relosing, right, but they haven't looked

(39:22):
atrocious. No, there's I don'tthink so. I mean maybe like so
like obviously the roommates Trev and Brayden, Yeah, big Minnesota fan. We
got huge Minnesota fans, right,uh? And like they I mean like
they're getting upset because they're watching ithappen and it's like like, my god,
you guys are disclose and you justthrew it away, right, Like
what do you want me to doabout it? Right? But they haven't

(39:45):
got outright destroyed. They're they're they'recompeting, and the offense at times,
Kirk is not the problem. Iam getting so tired of people saying,
like, you know, oh,let's just tank for Caleb Williams. The
Vikings are not bad enough to thepoint where they should be tanking. I
think that's a horrendous take. Ifthey clean up the defense, they'll win

(40:06):
games. Can they make a playoffrun? I highly doubt it. I
think it's the chances are New Yearzero. I'm sure statistically if you look
up the numbers, they're near zero. But the offense hasn't been the problem.
The Vikings have the most passing touchdownsout of any team in the league.
They're number one. Kirk is throwingthe ball, he's moving very well.
He's moving it, which is likehard to like it's the same thing

(40:30):
with like like with Harbor, Likehe's throwing the ball. Well, we're
just like some games like obviously, like I mean, you know, hindsight's
twenty twenty, right, maybe Harbor, if we play Minnesota, we sing
that rock and we beat Minnesota noteven worried, not sweating, right,
but now it's twenty twenty. Butyou look at him and you know,
you've been able to throw the ball, You've been able to do things.

(40:52):
Just where like, where's the connectionnot happening? Right, It's it's it's
the defense that's been causing the Vikingsa lot of their problems. They're just
outside the bottom twenty five percent interms of yards surrendered. They the defenses
doesn't look fantastic. It's not helpingthem at all. Yeah, there is
a struggle. Like you know, they lose their first game by three to

(41:14):
the Bucks. Then they lose toJalen Hurts and the Eagles, Right,
they lose twenty eight thirty four, which, like you just hate to see
that. It's just two field goalsright there, Like, if you can
put up two field goals, you'regood, right, And I'm sure,
I'm sure at times like they wereclose and in that range. A touchdown,
Yeah, touchdown winsy the game. And then they play the Chargers and
the Chargers win twenty eight to twentyfour. Jay Herbo money Man, I

(41:37):
mean like that's like that. Andthen obviously they play the Panthers, they
put up twenty one, they winthe game, like does you win?
And you play the Chiefs twenty sevento twenty Like you're playing teams that are
obviously very winnable, and I'm reallyhoping it sounds about to say, but
I'm really hoping that Vikings just dropa duchye on the Bears. Oh yeah,
like that. I think that kindof brings back a little bit of

(41:59):
like because like the issue is likePanthers that you guys suck. Yeah,
Eagles they're good, Like they havea good defense, yeah, they and
they're old line the tush push theyjust ran rough shot over the Vikings like
yeah, and there's not much youcan do. You hate to see that,
right, but they had tough opponentssome tough opponents and the Vikings as
they travel to Chicago on spread swing. Today on the fan, I forget

(42:22):
who. I believe tenn to ba ADS interim producer. He took the
Bears to beat Minnesota, and Ijust I just don't see it happen.
I don't know how I feel aboutthat. I mean, Fields looked pretty
good last week. I believe DjMoore has a perfect passer rating when he's
targeted by Fields. I just they'rea great combination. It seems to be

(42:46):
coming together a little bit. Andthey beat up on the Commanders. The
Vikings aren't. They're not on adifferent level than any any team like Washington.
They're just not a very good team. I could it's in Chicago.
I could see the Bear winning.I don't think it's unrealistic. I'm wondering
how bad the forty nine Ers Vikingsgame is. Oh boy, wait,

(43:07):
when is that happening? That's notnot Monday but the following Monday. Oh
hurt. Oh yeah, that's onethat I'm scared of. That's gonna be
amuse scared of. But just likethat's so dangerous, that's a noo.
Yeah, that that could get veryugly, very quickly. The forty nine
Ers are dominant. They they whoopeda pretty solid Cowboys team last week.

(43:29):
I I don't think the Cowboys areon the same level as obviously the forty
nine ers are some other teams inthe NFC, but they're competent. The
Cowboys are certainly a good team, and the forty nine Ers made them look
like chumps. That's the NFL talk. I think the line lines are back.
We're winning the North. I wasa little bit scared by the Packers

(43:50):
in Love, but now I don'tthink anyone can hold the candasaws. I
think we'll drop a divisional game ortwo just in Detroit lyons nature. That's
just that's just the nature of thisteam. But yeah, I think we'll
win the North. Vikings. They'renot in a bad enough position where they
can tank, but they're not goodenough to make a run, make a
run in the playoffs. So Ithink you just throw your team in there

(44:12):
against Chicago and this is going tobe a test as like you said,
it's going to be a test tohow good are we or how really awful
are we? Because if we getbeat by the Bears, oh that's that's
awful that then you might want tostart looking at you know, maybe we
should start just just taking some l'shere improve our draft picks. We've covered
a lot of this NFL stuff, but now we have to get to the

(44:34):
important football team, the most importantfootball team, which is don't crew our
flag football team is our most importantfootball team. But we have not been
performing all. I've okay, wedefinition struggle bus. We are on it.
We are riding right we were. We're long term passengers. It's it's
not a one way ticket. It'sa round trip. We've been from the

(44:57):
beginning and end of the season. It's been bad. One game we just
had to forfeit because we straight updidn't have enough people. I was we
had a forfeit tonight too, oryesterday we had four and we'll probably at
the four like we had a forfeittwo games. We have enough people.
Yeah, it's it's rough though. It's unfortunately the extra three people actually makes
a lot more of a difference foryou know, four v. Four versus
seventy seven, It makes a difference. There's that extra three guys. Sometimes

(45:19):
it's a tough spot to fill. And what what what have been the recaps
of the games i've i've I've beento one game. I played one game
and that one was not good.Yeah, so game number one we won,
but we won due to forfeit. The other team didn't show up,
didn't So we ran a win.Win is a win. Winters a win.
We ran what we like to callor we perfected to be honest.

(45:43):
Uh, we called it shotgun tripleoption. Shotgun triple off. It was
a play that Army ran in oneof their bowl games or whatever. It's
the joke, you know, likea shotgun triple option can't scare you.
Shotgun triple option, right, andhonestly, for for un FA football,
shotgun drive option works great. Itactually seems like you've got a lot of

(46:04):
blockers. Yeah you get well, you get that one. You can get
one to step him and block ifneed be. And we're putting where we
were going, Trev Twins and likeStodden yeah, or you know we had
Andrew back there like things like thatwere like, or you can put like
Stodden, You put Stott in theblock. Stotton can also catch and run,
right. Yeah, if you putbig dudes back there block it is

(46:25):
a huge party. Yeah, youget the you get the block. If
if he shades aside, you getthe block. They go, you're good.
But then it was you know, you run the fly or you can
run a curl, and we weredoing it, so you know, you
can literally pitch. Trev becomes nowa viable receiver. He can run,
you can throw, like, there'sgreat options out of it. Yeah,
but whatever we mess with that didthat for like probably forty minutes, and

(46:47):
then we're like, all right, well obviously they're obviously not showing showing,
so we're gonna get out of here, and we left. Our second game
was that's the one that you got, the one that I was at it
it was during practice. Yeah, you had to show you showed up,
like in the second half, Ibelieve the trust me. The first half
wasn't much better than the second half. It the I don't even know if
we scored. I think we scoredmaybe one touchdown in the first half,

(47:08):
but maybe not. It was ugly. They're their defense was just really good.
We couldn't figure out how to getaround there is they they were playing
like a kind of a weird zoneand we couldn't figure it out. It's
the seven guys back there, istough. And when you you can rush
the passer in seventy seven, whichyou can't do in four before, so

(47:29):
you can't stop people when they're whenthey're coming at you, you can barely
do anything to block. You canput your arms behind your back and move
side to side. Yeah, wereally can't do that one like technically are
not allowed to move side to side, but they get a little more lenient
with it. But they were likecalling things that was like, oh,
you have the elbow. Your elbowsat too far And I'm like, well,
that's just dumb because I can't block, and especially because because we're the

(47:50):
one blocking, we have to avoidthe contact. But if they are just
bull set of team right at us, right, it's not a flag on
them, it's a flag on usbecause we didn't try and avoided. Yeah,
it was The game was just ahot mess. I had a little
fun with it though. I caughta pass and tried to dive for a
first down, and these guys, you know, you could kind of tell
they had some washed up high schoolathletes trying to hold onto the glory days

(48:15):
of JV and it was it wasfunny because when I got to the when
I when I when I got myflag pulled, they started, you know
that they were doing a little talkand they said that was going They said
that's going nowhere, and I said, actually, I believe I got ten
yards on that playing roughly and weare very close to the first down.
And they they got even warm out. They're like, yeah, I can
do. I could took a threeyear old too. And guys are people

(48:37):
are just so easy to rattle. And you you how you get at them.
You I like you when you wearthat, when you wear that turtle
beach headset, that video game headset. You bring out a clipboard. Yeah,
I get the clipboard out, andI get the headset and I'll flip
the headset down so it looks likeI'm and then I'll do the classic like
over like I'll bring the clipboard upto my mouth, right and then I

(48:57):
say the play. But the playsdon't actually mean and it's nothing. It's
meaning just funny phrasing mumbo jumps. So we've got you know, like Dome
Crew, don't cru is an actualplay. I'm not gonna lie to you.
Things that are just like funny toget out. And most of the
time when you're playing fours and sevens, and you get one kid to acknowledge
what's going on and not be aware, not fully into the game, he'll

(49:20):
mess up, right, And solike it's just like a fun thing,
And like I understand that, Likefootball is not my strong suit. I
didn't play it in high school andeven if I did, I would have
been alignment. Yeah, these handsaren't made for catching, They're made for
playing lacrosse. They're made for blockingand getting in the trenches. Four games
are one and lost, and solike for me, that's all I need
to do. That's all I wantto do. Like it would be cool

(49:40):
to score a couple of touchdowns andbe like that, but like it never
has been. And like the Twins, Like you watch the Twins, the
Twins jump like four feet in theair and then get the one handed snag
and toe tap in the back ofthe end zone. That's never gonna be
me. Like I'm I'm lucky ifI catch it with two hands on that.
Yeah, it's our off is predicatedon the big play, which is

(50:00):
why I think we've been struggling alittle bit. But it doesn't matter.
Seventy seven is just the warm upfor four before in the in the spring,
let's let's be so real. Seventyseven sucks, but seventy seven is
just like less fun because like therush doesn't make it any fun because like
you can't block it, can't block, you can't do anything to prevent it.
So then it's like harder sling upthe deep ball. Yeah, you

(50:22):
can't throw the deep ball, whichis how we play. Yeah, that's
how we go. The twins arevery fast, they're very they're very fast,
very agile, and then like mostof the time they jump and catch
it on your head, which islike ninety percent of our play. Yeah,
and that's just how we roll. And it don't work in seventy doesn't
work. It doesn't suit our playstyle. Yeah, but the spring,
this spring revenge too well. Actually, I mean we're getting into threes for

(50:45):
basketball soon. Oh once again notmy strong suit. What about fives?
I thought we had we'll play we'llplay five, Okay, it is threes
first, then five, oh okay, okay, but we'll play threes.
Threes happens before five before winter break, okay, and then five is after
winter breaks okay, right, sowe'll play fives as a team. But
threes threes is twins, Trev StardenAndrew Okay, and I'm putting myself on

(51:10):
the team. But I'm just gonnashow up in dress clothes. Yeah that's
probably. I'll probably show up andjust hang out and yeah yeah, like
I I'll yell the calls from thesideline like I normally do, just kind
of fool around my fun and dowhat I always do. Just make it
a great time. And that's allyou I go to because like, I'm
not gonna I'm not gonna beat. It's not worth getting upset. Yeah,

(51:34):
it's just it's just it's intramural sports. I just gotta, I just gotta.
I just gotta put my thing inthere because I just gotta. I
just want the T shirt. Iwant the sports You want the shirt you
gotta get four years here, Iplayed intermials for four years and I don't
get a sports championship shirt you gottaget. I want one. That's all.
That's all a guy wants. Thinkabout it. We're already looking forward
to to basketball. But we wegot football postseason, you know, lock
in never doubt. We got aspecial guest, Yo, we got a

(51:55):
special guest. No way, Idon't know. There's not another Mike running
for you. None, No,hold on, let's unmute this, let's
u mute this. Hold you want, you can pop in for the list,
sit down at the Orange Mike.Yeah, we go in. Yeah,
we got special guests. Andrew Kovinskiis on the mike. How'd you
get in here? Andrew? Whyhear me? Yeah? Okay, okay.
So this is to briefly introduce. This is Andrew Kolbinsky. He was

(52:16):
on before. Yeah, he wasepisode yeah, episode two when I talked
with Garrett and Andrews the Old Room. He's this guy lived with me in
my freshman year. He saw probablytoo much of me, but way too
much. But but here we areand he's in the what are you doing
in the co jamc Well? Yousee, so I shouldn't be here.
I apologize for crash, but Imean, if you're gonna give me an
open mind and a little bit welove, yeah, my guy, Yeah,

(52:39):
plenty of time. I think we'reonly like an hour in. Yeah,
Well that's great. You know,I was just you know, I
had a rough week so far witha lot of exams, big guy.
As it is with those STEM majors, you know, and so I,
uh, you know, business andall that, but get a load of
the stem major over here. Godhe thinks he's you know, I figures

(53:00):
a Thursday night little Thursday night footballaction. I haven't eaten dinner yet,
and I think, you know, maybe maybe all of us could go to
the little bit of DP dough afterthis. Perhaps. I don't know if
I will, anybody is interested. That's why I'm you haven't had dinner.
I'll go anywhere where there's food.We could hit Loki, Imperial Express.
That is true, because I'd rathernot spend my my my wallet's be that

(53:22):
hard earned money has been going toDaily Yeah Daily Oon's had a hand in
his pocket every night here. Recently, my my bank account has certainly seen
better day. So I was thinkingImperial Express. But our good buddy Andrew
Klebinski, my freshman year roommate, has it jumped in and let's I want
to hear. Since we've got youon, we'll probably close it out pretty
soon. We've kind of exhausted allthe topics that we wanted to hit.

(53:44):
But and you're what kind of whatkind of exams are you taking? Well,
you know, I like to referto it as you know, if
you've ever seen that that new TikToktrend where it's like go to hell and
it's like, oh, I'm alreadyin hell. In hell. Yeah,
that's that's what it's felt like. That's the past. Uh this at this
point we seven days life of astemmate, So I mean you were grinding
the week prior to I mean, yeah, I had an exam Thursday of

(54:06):
last week, Friday of last week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this
week. So technically if you wantto count, but we can call them
what business hours business days. I'vehad a test in five consecutive business days,
so not five and the unfortunate, like even on the weekend, you're
still crammed. Not cramming because Andrewis a very intelligent man. Are you

(54:28):
studying me? I mean, Andrew, what's the lowest what's the lowest score
you got so far on any ofthese exams? On any of these exams?
Have you gotten anyone back? LowestI've gotten so far as at eighty
seven? Yeah? Good, that'sstill good. Yeah, how was it
was it in physiology? Yeah?Energy physiology is hard, very stressful.
I got it going on there,I got a sixty two on my supply

(54:51):
chain test. No, that's good, that's good. I mean you brought
the wrong cran box to the test. I get it. It's tough.
They make you peel the rappers offso you can't see what colors you're using.
Whale, you see alphabet one ohone, Like I do hear that?
What steps do after age? Whathappens after age? I don't know.
It's you know, the business majorstuff is not nearly as hard as

(55:14):
what these STEM guys are doing. We don't got to talk about that though.
Andrew's a genius. Andrew. Soyou said the eighty seven what class
was that? That's going to bein physiology, Daniel, physiology. Okay,
I will pay for your dinner tonightif you can tell you what physiology
is. Physiology that's when you getphysical. So physiology, physiology is the
it's the study. Ology means studyof Yes, okay, it's there.

(55:37):
It's the study. It's the studyof getting physical or study. For example,
I will be practicing physiology when Ipunch someone in the face, that's
where that's going. And then thenwhen I when I hit someone you know,
like a yeah, yeah, youknow, when I when I throw
like a right upper cutter, anasty left hook because I'm going to be
a prize fighter someday. When Ihit someone, that's that's that's physiology,

(56:01):
or perhaps it's just the study ofphysics. Okay, So I mean he's
still paying for his dinner, sothat's okay. I mean I feel like,
you know what about partial credit?Partial credit? There's no partial credit
here, Daniel. I took iteighty eighty multiple choice question test, Daniel
eighty. It's choice ology is thestudy of I got no partial credit?

(56:22):
I got, I got none,I got like one half of the word
right ology. It's the study ofyes, but you were way like not
that you were way off PiZZ likethe physy like physical. I mean that
was great, like that was agreat choice. Yeah, yeah, just
wrong though it's still wrong. Assetsequal liabilities plus stockholder's equity. That's all

(56:43):
I know. And that's what andyou know what, and that's why we
need you here. Somebody's got todo it. Who else is gonna do
my tax? Is? When I'mmake in the big bucks? Was gonna
help me evade my tax? Thinkabout it? In the best bott it.
We have some truth to that one. Allegedly, me and Garrett are
going to get in there and helpyou your taxes. These are, of
course, all these are only allegations, legal loopholes, only legal loopholes.

(57:06):
Nothing here is meant to be takenseriously. If you have questions about my
accounting, talk to my lawyer.I mean, Amazon does it. I
feel like, why can't we doit? Every company does it. Every
company's got shady stuff going on.We're good, We're not nearly as cool
as those companies. But with it. Physiology, isn't it like the study
of like the human makeup. Isn'tit like what it is? Yeah?
So you have your your your tandemphysiology and anatomy. To get a little

(57:31):
specific here, you have your tandemphysiology and anatomy classes. Right, so
your anatomy is just like physiology islike how how the body works. Yeah,
physiology is how the body works.Anatomy is going to be like name
the seven muscles in the back, and by looking at you do it.
By looking at you, and Ican name and see all seven of them.
There's probably not seven muscles back.I definitely made that up. But

(57:53):
here's a couple. There's a coupleback rear delts, you got your traps,
you got your lass? Oh herehe goes. Only three that I
know because in my workout probably yousaid it's the so part of it's the
makeup of the human body. Correct, yes, just say yes or no?
Yeah, there's no yes or nosaid there's no parts of credit.
No, no, but repeat it. What do you say it's the makeup

(58:14):
of the human body. Yes,it's how the body functions. Is physiology
how the body functions? Well, well, earlier you said it was the
makeup of the body. Okay,so anatomy and physiology it's usually taking hand
in hand because you learn about thatback. Then you learn how the back
works. I just thought, I'mnot taking him hand in hand, but
yes, they're usually taken when Icould be. When I heard makeup of

(58:35):
the body, I thought maybe physiologywas like a like a beauty school thing,
you know, like the mass scara, the makeup of the body.
You know when you pretty face. This would be a makeup with the space,
not make up with the dash. There's a hyphen in that there,
or no, maybe there isn't evenlook still makeup there's a hyphen in there.
Makeup make no makeup. The beautyproduct is just one word. Makeup

(58:58):
is make dash up like the compositionof the human body. Makeup, No
what makeup. There's definitely a hyphenon the Google crew. There's definitely a
hyphen in makeup. Make up iswith the with the hyphen okay uh favored
by oxfordition uh dictionary And because DiddyDan went to Oxford he did, That's

(59:21):
why he's favoring the favoring the hyphenOxford educated. We lost all of our
bradish listeners immediately. Don't worry.Don't worry. He started the episode like
that. They weren't even here anymore. Starts at that point talking about my
Oxford trip. A producer, Canwe get the mute mic on the green
mic from Mike chokes On? Iam the producer produce in the building.

(59:46):
Part of me wondered if he wouldbe stupid enough to reach over there and
mute his on mic. You knowthat, honestly, just some feedback.
I mean I can barely past coloringone on one, so business majors,
I wouldn't put it back. Wouldyou be able to know what color is
green? Color is green? Uh? Uh? Uh? Time out?
That wasn't on the study GUYE doingphone friend that was not on study guide.

(01:00:07):
Make up with no hyphen and nospace is the Webster dictionary, which
is American ice spelling. So alot of really started by major companies because
they didn't want to pay to havethe space. I ink, yeah,
that's interest money, so they don'tput a hyphen. Make up American think
about it, makeup with I mean, we're just throwing it back to seventeen

(01:00:29):
seventy inch in pennies. They didn'teven want to use the dash. Think
about and you know what else Inoticed? This is this is my brief
rant about greedy corporate America. Still, Daniel, we were talking about football.
But but this is going to thisis going to tie back talking about
greedy. This is this is gonnatalk. This is going to tie back
into the into the sports conversation. When I how does this tie back?

(01:00:52):
Let let me cook. When Iwent to the Nebraska volleyball article about the
world record, ninety two thousand andthree fans world record, we were at
anybody's wondering, Yeah, we werethe three. Think about it. We
put us over the ninety two thousandlimit, like we got a stick.
And when you look at the headlinephoto. You see Dylan sashes, beautiful,

(01:01:15):
luscious ginger hair. You can alsosee Brandon, and then right in
front of them, you can barelymake out Trevor, and you can see
Andrew's hat. You can see thesehat. You can see his shoulder too.
You can see these four lovely gentlemen. And then two seconds later,
as I'm looking on the article,Bam, it goes away for an ad.
I just want to look at myboys. I just want to look
at these beautiful gentleman on my head. I looking at me the whole time.

(01:01:36):
But I want to see you inthe context of this fantastic photo.
I mean, you were present ata world record. I will start sending
you photos for you. Okay, good do it? Okay, I mean
I passed that fixture around with myfan, my grandma, my grandma.
Eat that up. I'm not gonnalie to you. I sent it that
the whole family on percent. I'mtalking all thirteen contacts. But the lard

(01:01:58):
the point I'm trying to make. They can't even leave a picture of a
headline up for two seconds without showinghim as and grabbing money. You should
Hey, what about name image likeness, and I l these that's my name
put my name is probably not. It's like kind of your likeness. I
mean like your hat. You're like, oh, I mean that's me.
I'm on brand with the hat.Yeah, so it is your it's it's
your brand, your name, yourimage, actually in your likeness. Stud

(01:02:20):
yeah six, that's what ye men'slacrosse. Weren't looking at me? And
Andrew is, in reality five toeight roughly one hundred and twenty five pounds
too exposed. Did you say he'sone hundred and twenty five pounds This kid
is at least one thirty. Thatwas more disrespectful than what I just one
of you is right. We'll justleave at that. Yeah, I know

(01:02:40):
it's me because we talked about thispound for pounds Tunressman here. Pound for
pound. That's it. That's it. I mean, that's all you need
to say. We got. Imean, you're you're a buck twenty five,
buck thirty. I'm a buck fifty. Dylan Dylan's Dylan's more musculary.
He hits the gym more. Oh, yeah, he hits the gym more.
I I remember the last time Itouched a weight, Daniel. I
couldn't tell you was it when youwere in Oxford, because I remember seeing

(01:03:02):
the picture on your story being likethis thing sucks the Oxford. That actually
probably was the last time I touchedaway the gym in England because I was
so bored and the weather outside wasjust like it was really bad, and
I I just said, you know, what the hell with this, I'm
going to I'm going to the gymand it was boof. It was boof
and British British dudes are weird, okay, like in the gym weird britih

(01:03:28):
dudents. I remember you had apicture of the guy wearing ski gloves working
on ski gloves. No British peopleknow, Dylan, I wasn't on that
story to begin with. Oh that'sbecause Daniel, for whatever reason, I
don't know if that that. ButI put that on my actual private and
you just didn't join I put that. I put my Oxford private story on
my Reggie private. See the thingabout me, I got snapchat like what

(01:03:50):
doing like a year ago. Istill don't know how it works. Yeah,
that's if even sometimes you know whereyou do like the false swipe to
see like yeah, I don't knowhow to do that? Oh, I
just opened that bad Boy raw,I hate I just open it. Andrew
Andrew has sent me. I assumewe became friends on the very first day
you got it. Uh yeah.August second, twenty twenty two is when

(01:04:12):
we became friends. So that wouldbe the first day you got it.
Yeah, so that would be,you know, a little over a year
ago. Okay, right. AndAndrew has a snapscore of twenty nine thousand
and eighty Okay, okay, allright, that's actually higher than I thought.
I'm going to be honest. Halfof those have to be one hundred
percent. That's higher than I thoughtit would be. I'm at like me
and Andrew. Andrew have eight threehundred and eighty five day streak. Yeah,
and it's just like constant photos ofFor folks who don't know what snap

(01:04:36):
score is, it's never anything superserious and then randomly I just get like
today they get the text uh deepdope. Yeah yeah, then you send
it easy, you go not serious. For those who don't know what snap
score is, I believe when youwhen you send one, that's like you
got one point and then when youreceive one, you get another point.

(01:04:56):
Yeah. Sending is one. Receivingis one. Yeah, but receiving only
counts if you open it. Okay, I have to open it to receive
it. And for those of youfor a comparison, I got Snapchat on
December twenty third and twenty sixteen.Yeah, and I have a snap score
of five five hundred and ninety thousand, roughly a little bit a little bit

(01:05:20):
over sure, So how does thatbreakdown per year? That's like eighty thousand
a year, right, roughly likethat? Yeah, and Andrew did twenty
nine thousand in a year. Yeah. I have the lowest snap score in
this room. Mine's lower than Andrews. I'm not twenty six thousand something.
How what I don't I don't snappeople. There're a phone number guy.

(01:05:42):
I'm more of a phone number guy. When I'm like, respectfully, Daniel
for the fact that you don't snapanyone, you post all the time on
your store. Yeah, what's upwith I my private story? It's like,
whenever a thought pops into my headthat I just like feel should be
shared, I share it without hesitation. So that kind of explains the spam
and how most of it is justkind of nothingness. That's that's why I'm
on my private story so much.Other than that, I only snapped like

(01:06:04):
a few people from back home. That's it. Yeah, so I I
mean, you would just expect ifhe's not snapping people, he would at
least respond to text messages. Butit doesn't do that, doesn't do that
any kind of get a little lossin translation there. I'm not sure how
that kind of equates out. ButI've been bullied on my podcast. You
know what, Andrew, your podcast, our podcast jinks yow me a coke?

(01:06:29):
No? Okay, Andrew? Okay? Are the Vikings women this weekend?
This weekend they play the Bears inShytown. After Justin Fields comes off
of a four touchdown game. Youknow, I saw this stat I don't
know if you guys saw this aswell. Justin Fields could become the sixth
quarterback in NFL history to throw forfour touchdowns in three consecutive games. Really,

(01:06:55):
if he scores or throws four touchdownson the day against the Vikings in
shy Town, it's doable. Amongstthose other five people on that list,
you know, you have the homes, the Peyton Mannings for the Tom Russell
Wilson. You know, let letRuss cook, but you know, do
not let him cook honestly, Daniel, you know that's a good question,
that's right. I definitely am aVikings fan. Unfortunate to see Jay Jettis

(01:07:21):
go down. Yeah you know that'sdraft pick. Yeah, number one draft
pick in the Dome Crew Fantasy. And I am facing Dylan this week for
all the listeners, so I'm surehe'll probably update you on how that's gonna
go. Now it's right now it'slooking like I'm gonna lose. Well,
I've got I just well, AnthonyRichardson was carrying the team. Yeah,

(01:07:43):
him being and he goes out. That's why I took. I took the
Jags on spread swing. They're onlyfavored by four against the Colt in Jacksonville,
and they just the minshew Is toback up to him, which,
first of all, respect the guyfor the stash. You see. That
thing's crazy. But so now Igotta put Joe Burrow back in. But
it didn't matter because last week whenI said Joe Burrow, I got paid
points from Richardson. Yeah, youpaid the like, here's twenty six points.

(01:08:08):
Actually was playing some ball. Butback to the Minnesota games. You
know, I think official prediction.I think what's the spread, Minnesota is
favored by three. I believe spreadby three. Okay, I'm gonna I'm
just gonna pick. I'll pick Minnesotaoutright win. Okay, they're gonna beat
the spread, outright win. Ithink they're gonna be able to run the

(01:08:29):
ball, use Madison and cam Akers, who they recently acquired, run the
ball. Maybe Kirko can get alittle get a little feisty. He's got
some other weapons out there, areceiver Hawkinson. Obviously, Addison looks good,
and Addison's been Adison's definitely been lookinggood, and he's gonna have to
look good if they have any chance. So I would say Minnesota outright win

(01:08:53):
minus three. And that's that's wherewe agree to disagree, because I think
Field has been hot. They justbeat the Commanders commanded me. That is
true. And the Commanders aren't anyworse of a team than Minnesota. They
if they if they play right now, I just wow, well wow,

(01:09:15):
that's a hot take. Minnesota native. You know me, I'm a Lions
fan. We run the North andwhat is what is your record right now?
What's record right now? And here? You know what? Man like
I just love you guys, man, Andrew that we're rallying around the team,
man, and man, these guysare just fighting day in day out.

(01:09:36):
Man. Well that's a that's alovely little speech to Andrew. But
I believe that we are four inStan Gamble. That's my boy, Dan
Gamble. That is so true.Everybody was like the gamble, that is
true. He's like, what doyou guys need to do to to you
know, get the team back onthe same place and answer your question.

(01:09:57):
I just love these guys, man, Man, I do love d Campbell.
You're right, you are running theNorth right now. Unfortunately, and
I think I think, I thinkyou just wait. I don't think the
Bears are gonna win by a lot, but I think they're gonna win.
I like, I like Fields,I mean, you look dominant. I'm
I'm going with the Bears. DullBears, du Bears, and that's I
think that's really all we've kind ofgot this week, and we're gonna try

(01:10:21):
and get this going on a moreconsistent basis. I will be the first
to them at that. I've kindof been about getting in the studio and
you know, going crazy with it. But sometimes when you're a busy student.
You kind of can't control your schedulessometimes. Concerning the fact that we
pay to go here, yeah,I'm going to prioritize school work. That
is a fantastic point. I thinkI'm barely certain none of us actually pay

(01:10:44):
to go here because we all havethe intelligent brain cells, don't we?
I mean, my brain cells aren't. I wouldn't describe my brain cells as
intelligence whatever I said. What Isaid. No, I've only got a
couple in my head, and sometimessometimes they don't work. But this has
been Studio three through team with asurprise visit from Andrew Klebinski. Thanks for
popping in, man. We gotto get dinner all of us now,

(01:11:04):
but Andrew, thanks for joining us. Dylan, my lovable, huggable co
host, thank you as always foraccompanying me. Daniel. I just I've
missed you, man, I've missedyou too. Were you were in Minnesota
and Oxford and in Italy and andnow I'm in had No, I had
no host from Oxford to Italy toNebraska. How about that whiplash, PA.

(01:11:26):
We are so back and we gotNebraska football on the twenty first,
Nebraska volleyball on the twenty first, and some games this weekend. We got
NFL this weekend. As always, exciting things, big things in the works
for Andrew, for Dylan, andfor myself. This has been Studio three
thirteen, coming at you from AndersonHall, the College of Journalism and Mass
Communications, affectionately known as the coj MC. Well, we'll see you

(01:11:50):
guys later. You like something's Jane, but I can't understand wake of If
some little sis dreams, smile, smile, they're off watching
