Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny Window six
point five, Las Vegas's best variety of the eighties, nineties,
and today. Joanna, I have said on more than one
occasion that this country is built on small businesses and
small business owners, and anytime we can share some information
that's going to help those aspiring entrepreneurs, we like to do.
So it's our sunny Story the day today.

Yeah, and there's a lot of them out there here
in our community. Now, small business owners and entrepreneurs out there,
or maybe aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to the Nevada Small
Business Resource Fair that is coming up next Wednesday, which
is May seventh, from ten am until two pm at
the Sahara West Library. Now, the event, powered by the
Nevada Department of Business and Industry, is going to be

a free event to attend, which we always love and
is definitely going to be a great resource fair to
help out small business owners.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
You know, as much as I love working here, Joanna,
I do think that working for yourself is ultimately like
the American dream, right building your own business. So maybe
you have an idea for a business, but don't know
how to start a business plan or like where to start.
My wife, for instance, is self employed and for years
we've talked about whether she needs to be incorporated or

an LC or we don't know where to start with
that kind of thing. This is where you go for
all this kind of information.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, and what's really cool. You know, May is National
Small Business Month, but that week is National Small Business Week,
and so you know, it's just going to be a
great time for entrepreneurs, potential business owners, current business owners
to really focus on ways to increase their business and
also of course support the economy in which they serve.

Now attendees will have the opportunity to connect with over
fifty government and nonprofit exhibitors, so a great networking event,
which is always so helpful.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
And it's going to cover so much things like business structure, taxes,
licensing funding which is hugely important. Hiring. I've never hired anyone.
I wouldn't know where to start marketing. Look, if you
have any business questions whatsoever, this is where to.

Be absolutely lily. Hey you're hungry, I hear. There's gonna
be food trucks out there as well. Now it is
a free event. Walkins are welcome, but they are encouraging
