Speaker 1 (00:00):
Remember the good old days of macaroni necklaces, Well they're
cool again. Good morning, it's Joanna and Sean right here
on sunny When I was six point five, do you
remember making macaroni jewelry back in like elementary school?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Yeah, not even just elementary school. Shoot, I made. I
made my wife a macaroni art frame as with a
picture of us in it too. There's no bad time
of life to use macaroni for artwork or jewelry, for sure.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well, it's definitely cool again and has a fun spin
this Mother's day. Now get this, Kraft Mac and Cheese
has announced their gold Macaroni necklace. Now they're turning the
classic mac and cheese necklace that we did back in
the day into a limited edition necklace for a mom. Now,
this piece will feature a single fourteen carre gold noodle
(00:49):
strung on a delicate sixteen.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Inch gold chain.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
And hey, I mean, what mom wouldn't love getting a
necklace like that for Mother's Day?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, golden Macaroni. I'm on board with this. I would
probably I might not even wear this myself. I love
macaroni and cheese.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Well, listen at this price point right now, Kraft I
think they're low balling. It had been its only twenty
five bucks, so I'm sure it's gonna sell out for
Mother's Day. So we're talking about this morning Mother's Day
gifts that has made Mom emotional in the past, And
I know you and I both have situations where we
have seen our mother get emotional over a gift. So
(01:25):
tell me about that for you.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Ah, well, look, I'm gonna be candid. I'm not. I
don't know if I've pulled that off necessarily for Mother's Day, okay,
but I definitely made her cry on her last birthday,
and I put together like a video montage. I asked
friends and family from just like across the decades of
her life to send a little like a video birthday
(01:48):
wish to her, and it was people she hadn't heard
or seen in years. Right, So it is a really
beautiful little project. It took a while to put together,
but I mean she absolutely like loved it and treasures
it and probably one of the more one of the
presents I think I'm more proud of.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, And that takes like a lot of work and
effort to coordinate with friends and family, especially when they're
not even in the same city as you. So yeah,
I think that probably showed your mom like a lot
of effort that you went through.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
It was. I enjoyed doing it for sure because it
actually it opened up that door for me to talk
to some of these people that I hadn't connected with
in years as well. Sure, maybe that helps somebody out.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, No, that's that's a really good idea. And listen,
I'm glad we're talking about it now. It gives people
enough time to maybe do something like that before Sunday. Now.
The time I remember recently making my mom cry over
a gift was Okay. So I adopted this dog named
Zena in twenty seventeen, and it was it's like my
(02:50):
mom's favorite dog of all time. Even though it was
my dog, it was basically my mom's dog, like she
was yeses Zena Yeah, obsessed with her and really took
care of her for a lot of her life. And
my mom just always said that was like her soul dog.
And Dina passed. So what I did was I got
I found this company that like replicates your dog via
(03:13):
like a stuff animal.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
No, but I did it with slippers. Oh that's that's adorable.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And I'll tell you what, it turned out really good,
like the company kind of nailed it perfectly. And so
I got her these Xena slippers and she's never worn
them because she says they're too beautiful to be worn.
But she cherishes that gift. And I think maybe that
was maybe one of the only times I've seen my
mom cry over a gift, but she was really touched
(03:42):
by it, and she has that momentum momento forever.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Now. There's probably a number of different ways to take
either like a like a favorite pet or favorite child
child for that matter. Right and uh, and turned them
into a custom piece of clothing for your for your mom.
That's I think that's always something that could be sentimental
in treasured. That's a great idea, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
So Yeah, we threw out some ideas this morning. Maybe
you have a really good Mother's Day gift idea as
well that could make mom cry. If so, we want
to hear from you this morning, and we'll ask that
question over on Sunny's Facebook
