Speaker 1 (00:00):
How did you discover someone was pregnant before they announced it?
Where are all are detectives at this morning? Good morning
to Joanna and Sean. If you have a store, give
us a call it seven oh two seven nine six
one oh six five. But I feel like now you
can wear your official detective hat because you cracked the case.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I did.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
What I'm making up for the fact that I wasn't
able to figure out that you were pregnant because you
had said as a New Year's resolution that you wanted
to have a second baby this year. I did, yes,
and that was your New Year's resolution, and I should
have figured out at that point, Like I didn't know
at that point you were probably likely already pregnant because
it was the end of January where you were like, Hey,
guess what, I'm pregnant right now?

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Ah, how did I miss it?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah? We were talking about willing things into the universes
exactly speaking into existence.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
So I recently had some family members over my wife's cousin, Ian,
his wife Manny, and their son Sebastian Oka, and I
had offered I'm like the cocktail guy at the house.
So when someone crimson, I'm like Hey, can I make
you a drink?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
And I offered them a cocktail, and then both Manny
and Ian like they kind of shot each other a look,
and Ian said, yeah, I think we're okay. Just some
water would be great, And in my head I was like, oh,
I know what's going on here. So I said nothing, sure,
just to be respectful. I didn't like out anybody, of course,
But within a couple of minutes, Ian said, hey, I

(01:16):
just want I think everyone should know. We wanted to
tell you in person.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Manny is with child, and I was like, yeah, I
knew it's right.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's interesting because sometimes like if one one person the
couple isn't drinking, and maybe harder to figure it out. Yeah,
but it's like you know, but also too, like you
know that one's kind of a hard one to figure
out too, because like sometimes people go on like these
like journeys together when the couple has to be united
front like yeah, like you know, hey we're giving up alcohol,
we're doing it together. It'll be easier that way. So

(01:43):
I mean, you just had like a gut feeling.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Well, I think look, probably the turning down of alcohol
is probably the most obvious giveaway in terms of pregnancy.
But I've still felt like a little feather in my
cap for that moment right there.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I was gonna say, when we did our broadcast in
can Koon earlier this year, and you and I were,
you know, on that trip together, I turned down every
alcohol drink everything.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I didn't even notice. That's the thing I was.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I was subbing it with all like Virgin Virgin, Sharwberry,
Dacre Virgin, you know, dakers like everything is.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
I ordered virgin style that you can didn't pick up
on it.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
You might have gotten you might have ordered those drinks
before I showed up to be on you know, just
to be to be fair, to be sneaky about it.
Let's get a couple of phone calls on the air here.
We'll start with Lindsay. So, Lindsay, do you have a
story about figuring out somebody was pregnant before they announced it.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
I do.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
So it's actually my sister's best friend, okay, And we
went over for dinner. So it was her best friend,
my sister and me, and my sister has an eight
year old son, okay, okay, And so we go over
there for dinner and my sister's son finds one of

(02:58):
the baby outfits that was at her house, but thinks
it's for the cat.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
So we are.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Literally sitting down for dinner and her son comes in
carrying the cat in one of the baby.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Outs No, God, that almost would feel like a pregnancy announcement,
the way you could announce to somebody.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
It's actually kind of cute.

Speaker 7 (03:19):
Honestly, it could be more perfect if it had been planned.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
She was beyond shocked, knew what to tell us because
nobody knew yet. So they had bought this only for photos.
It was the only outfit they bought. They were going
to take photos with it, you know, s their announcement.

Speaker 7 (03:38):
And then of.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Course my sister's son, who gets into everything, decided to
dress the cat.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
So yeah, when the cat came out, we all knew.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I'm super impressed as cat cooperated.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And are you also saying too like the son had
no idea either, he just found the outfit.

Speaker 7 (03:57):
No, the sun thought the outfit was like.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Well so no one now, okay, okay, wow, Yeah, I'm
sure obviously she didn't want anybody to know, but an
adorable way to find out, lovely.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
Wave, it's your cat, right, Well, thank you, Lindy. We
appreciate your goal.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Have a great day you too. Sunny Mornings with Joanna
and Sean. I'm Sonny one. I was six point five.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
So how did you figure out that somebody was pregnant
before they made the announcement? It's Sunny Mornings that Joanna
and Sean on Sunny one of six point five, I'm
kind of riding high. Got a feather in my cap.
I figured out my wife's cousin was pregnant before she
announced anything about it because she turned down a drink
and that was the dead giveaway in my eyes. But Joanna,
do you have any personal experience with this.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I actually had a situation recently when I was out
to lunch with a group of girlfriends, and you know,
I'm obviously very pregnant right now, so we talk about
it a lot and what's going on with my pregnancy,
and then one of my girlfriends at the luncheon, who's
never had a child before, just started asking questions about insurance,

(04:59):
and it's like, okay, like you can ask questions about
like if you've never been, you know, been pregnant before,
just like about like maybe the changes and whatnot, like
typical questions the craving stuff like that, but insurance to
me was like an odd thing to bring up. They
were like, you know, in the middle of the conversation,
she was like, hey, by the way, like, so like,

(05:19):
did you like, like if you don't tell your your
company at the beginning of the year, how do you
get benefits for it?

Speaker 6 (05:25):
And all that?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
And she was like asking all these insurance related questions,
and I thought, Okay, maybe she's genuinely curious, but my
gut told me there's no way she's just asking me
random insurance questions.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, unless now she's like freaking out because you know,
we're a couple of months into the new year and
she can't make these life changes quite yet, right, so
her insurance is what it is. And so I had
that instinct right away. Of course, was not going to
call her out on it. But as we were walking
to our car after the lunch, she pulled me aside
from the rest of the ladies and was like, hey, like,

(06:00):
I'm actually like fourteen weeks pregnant right now. So I
was asking those questions, I said, girl, I knew. I
was like, there's no way, you're just you're curious, You're
not curious about if I want pickles, but you're curious
about what my benefits were.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
At the beginning of the year, ain't nobody on the
planet that curious about insurance.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
So I felt like, sometimes it's like you have to
really take note of particular questions that people ask you
because they're curious. They want to pry without prying too much,
without revealing too much. But some questions are a giveaway.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Absolutely right. We were going to pick up this call
here who we got on the line.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, it looks like Rachel's been on hold. Good morning, Rachel.
So do you consider yourself a super sleuth when it
comes to finding out if people are pregnant or not?

Speaker 8 (06:45):
Yes, I wouldn't necessarily call myself a super sleuthe because
I think a lot of.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Women would have picked up.

Speaker 8 (06:50):
So my good friend and coworker, she was she was
gaining a little too weight, like a little little bit
like in her face. She just looked a little different,
and so I was thinking, Okay, maybe obviously that's not
something that's not enough to bring it up, because if
you're wrong.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
It's just terrible.

Speaker 8 (07:14):
We were out to eat and I went to the bathroom.
But when I came back the waiter, uh, says to her, Oh,
and yes, the cheese is unpasteurized.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Oh the cheese.

Speaker 8 (07:25):
And then she reacted, and she reacted like you weren't.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Supposed to say that in front of her, because I
don't know if you all know this, it seems like
you do, but yeah, you have to. That's that is
an issue of when you're pregnant. Yeah, that's one of
the things you have to chext.

Speaker 8 (07:42):
So I just kind of I smiled very widely and
said nothing, and just like you, stared at her smiling,
and she goes, yes, I am pregnant.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
The cheese.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
The questions get people in trouble. I've busted so many
girlfriends because of this, like the the questions they wouldn't
typically asks.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
So, yeah, I get that.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I didn't know that about that cheese. We've had We've
had two kids, and I thought I've known. I thought
I knew pretty much all the dietary restrictions. The cheese
thing is new to me. Oh my god, I love it.
There you go, busted by cheese.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Cheese.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
I'll get you.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
That's such a good one. Thank you Rachel for sharing
that with us this morning.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
Thank you Sonny one six point side.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
We all have to do certain things each and every day,
and we all have those things we really dislike doing.
So that that's what we're asking you this morning. What
is your least favorite thing that you have to do
every day? If you're streaming us right now through the
free iHeartRadio app, just click that little microphone when you're
streaming setting one O six point five, it's right there.

(08:48):
Hit that and leave us a message letting us know
what that least favorite thing to do every day is.

Speaker 7 (08:53):
Now.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
The reason we're talking about this is I just feel
like my thing has definitely changed, especially being pregnant. Yeah,
but now at the tail end of pregnancy and third
trimester world, I feel like I cannot stand waking up
every day and figuring out what to wear. And I
consider myself like a lover of shopping and clothes and

(09:13):
just like just fashion in general.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Very well put together most days.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
That's very kind of you, Thank you. I just feel
like I've given up these days.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
I'm gonna be honest with you. I dreaded. I dread
spending money on clothes that will.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Fit right now, yeah, because I know it's like the
size is only temporary and then I dread having to
put the clothes on, you know, and I'm you know,
gonna make make you blush here, But like, I hate
wearing a bral these days. I hate doing There's certain
things when you're in certain points of pregnancy where you're like,
you hate doing certain things.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Look, I also TMI. For me, there's some days I
can't stand putting on my boxers. This the first thing
I see in the in the mirror after I get
out of the shower, and I'm like, who is attracted
to this?

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Good lord?

Speaker 6 (09:56):
They're just Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
There's about clothing these days where I'm like, I hate
spending money on it. I hate having to decide what
to wear. And that's changed for me. So I'm kind
of disappointed in myself. But that is my least favorite
thing to do every day, is deciding what to wear.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Well, we'll just be kind yourself. I'll say that, thank you,
thank you. But you look great, you're very very kind,
thank glowing.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
All right, I'll take that thank you. How about you?

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Well?

Speaker 3 (10:17):
For me, like it's never changed, it's always been the same.
I can't stand checking the mail. I don't look forward
to whichever what's worse about it for me now is
that my mailbox isn't even in front of where I live,
Like it's down the block I have to go. It's
in a block of other mailboxes that everyone shares to get,
put on shoes, walk down the block, and then dread

(10:37):
what's in there?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Like that, there's always that dread.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
There's gonna be a bill, there's gonna be something I've missed,
I owe somebody some money.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
There's never anything good in the mail anymore.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
I know.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
That's so true. And isn't that funny when you move
here too, because moving from Illinois, we all had our
mailbox in front of our house. I'm sure that was
the same way with you in Michigan, right, Yeah, And
it was such an adjustment and we were like, I
have to know, go somewhere to go get my mail.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Like what if it wasn't even out by the street.
Our mailbox was literally next to the front door, So
I mean, you can you wouldn't have to put on shoes,
You could reach outside and grab it.

Speaker 6 (11:07):
It made having to pay those bills a little bit easier.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
It's still stunk, but you know, checking the mail never fun. Yeah,
let's go to some of the talkbacks here on the
iHeart app. This one's from Amber on the Things she
least looks forward to doing every day.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
I can't stand dragging through horrible traffic. It takes forever,
and I really want somebody due to calculations, how much
of my life is spent in traffic?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Probably lots lots a lot of time spending traffic.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It always makes me laugh because every time, every morning
with my commute, I see all the orange traffic cones
and I just love that somebody dubbed that our state flower.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah, because it's so true.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
It's gotten worst year over year.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Every detour leads to another detour, right.

Speaker 6 (11:45):
Curiously, so annoying. All right, let's hear from Julio. I'm
the least favorite thing he has to do every day.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Oh dude, making my meals, making breakfast.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Usually I take my lunch in another snack.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
I just I don't know.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
I almost want a chef or a meal company.

Speaker 7 (12:00):
But that's just bus bar. The most annoying.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Yeah, the infamous question what do you want to have
for dinner?

Speaker 6 (12:05):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Like, let's just spend all these fees with door dash, right,
might stop thinking about it.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
My wife texts me while We're doing the show at
like nine thirty, and she's like, what do you want
for dinner?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
And I'm like, I have no idea.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
Because it's all that prep the preparation. Yeah, I mean
you have to think about it early. And yeah, you
haven't even maybe had any of your meals yet.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, exactly true.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
We'll wrap it up here with Francine and on her
least favorite thing to do every day.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Yeah, well, let me tell you, the least favorite thing
I have to do every day is try to get
my ten thousand steps in.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
If you're hitting them, more power to you, then, I mean,
if you're even tracking up, more power to you, that's amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I don't know if I hit one thousand, honestly on
a good day.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Maybe This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on
Sonny one oh six point five.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny Window six
point five, Las Vegas's best variety of the eighties, nineties
and today. Now things are looking good for our Golden Nights.
They're up won nothing in the playoffs right now against
the Minnesota Wow. But they got some other great stuff
happening today for Earth Day.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, so recently it looks like more than seventy trees
were planted in a statewide effort to expand green spaces
across here in Nevada. Now that was thanks to, like
you said, the Vegas Golden Knights are Henderson Silver Knights,
the Venetian Resort, and a sustainability company called Reroot America's
Now they donated the trees as part of the Vegas

(13:25):
Golden Knights Go Green night Games that happened last month.
But if you did not know, our Vegas Golden Knights
has a year round initiative called night Shield Project, which
is a sustainability focus initiative led by the organization where
more and more trees are going to be planted here
in our community.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
I always love a good tree initiative.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Our Vegas Golden Knights, I think, as far as nationwide
goes probably one of the most active in the community
that they serve, right that we always hear about the
great things that they're doing. And look, we need as
much foliage as we can get here in the Las
Vegas Valley. So I love tree planting in issue dois
and I'm glad they're doing it.

Speaker 6 (14:04):
Yeah, and this is all part of me.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
It sounds small right now, maybe to some people, but
over the next ten years, the goal is to plant
one hundred thousand trees statewide, so they're just getting started.
Obviously this is gonna get bigger and bigger. But yeah,
I think there's a lot of areas that you know,
lack that natural shade, and we all know how hot
it can get here.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Right I would, so look, go go Nights, go as
far as hitting that one hundred thousand trees goal, goes
and and other goals. Let's score some more tonight Game
two against the Wild.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Absolutely. So if you want to read more about the
night Shield Project and what our Vegas gold Knights is
helping to do to make our state more green, you
can right now.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
It's Sunny one o six five dot com. Just click
on Sunday Mornings.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Sony one sixth.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
We know a lot of people are going green today
in honor of Earth Day, but maybe you're going green
to stay more.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
Are calm and confident.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Good morning.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
It's Joanna and it's Sean. And there's a.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
New TikTok theory going around that's going viral called the
green nail theory.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
Have you heard of that?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Sean, No, I have not, but I'm sure you're about
to tell me.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
So this is what it's all about.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
It doesn't come up in my algorithm much, say, probably not.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
Because it does involve painting your nails.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah so yeah, So the theory is is that you
paint your nails green to make yourself more calm and confident.
People are saying that that color attracts certain energies tied
to growth, fresh starts, abundance. Basically, good vibes are associated
with the color green. So the smart start in small ways,

(15:43):
like painting your nails.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I've actually heard this with regard to like color theory
when it comes to home design, right like your home office,
or perhaps they use it in waiting rooms a lot.
But it's supposed to be a calming color in your home.
So I would imagine if you're someone who enjoys painting
your nails, taking that color with you any you go
would be a great way to kind of calm yourself down.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Absolutely so yeah, going green, you know, it's a style choice. Now,
of course, I feel like I've never painted my nails
green before, not even for like Saint Patrick's Day, So
that would be a change for me, but hey, I'm
all about finding ways to stay more calm and confident.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
But is there.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Anything that you do in your daily life that you
incorporate Maybe it's not obviously like painting your nails, but
is there anything that you do personally that you could
share on that Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
You know, I think I have a love for candles
that I got from my mom. Okay, she had a
lot of like candle holders and stuff around the home
like when I was growing up, and I kind of
do the same thing that she did where I think
it's about dimming the lights, lighting candles. I like to
play instrumental background music like Wow, like low fi hip
hop beats at nia cool, yeah for real nice. Nothing

(16:51):
with lyrics is stuff that's kind of chill, chill background
music as maybe we're washing the dishes or winding down
getting ready for bed.

Speaker 6 (16:58):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
There's this Danish theory or it's it's called huga and
basically it just means it's like a feeling of comfort
or well being.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
What is that word again, Huga?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Interesting, it's y gg.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
It's it's a Danish thing, but it's about having a
feeling of contentment or coziness. I love it, so we
kind of try to bring that into the home in
the evenings.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
All Right, something I've been doing and this is a
simple thing someone told to me once. It's stuck with
me for a while now. It's the five to one
seven breath theory.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
Have you heard of that? And so I feel like
one being super pregnant.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I right now I'm really more conscious of like how
I'm breathing these days anyway, Like stairs are a struggle.
Just moving around can be a little bit of a struggle.
But they say the five to one seven breath theory
is actually very helpful.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
So the thought is, is.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
You breathe in you inhale for five seconds, hold you
hold it for one and then you let it go
for seven and it's supposed to immediately start to calm
you down. So anytime, like you know, something's bothered me
or whatever, I just feel like I'm focused more on
like breath exercise, which, by the way, do you remember
that singer Mike Posner, Yeah, had like, yeah, it's in

(18:00):
like the early.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
And he walked across the country. Yeah, he's a brilliant dude.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
The song I Took a Pill and a Visa.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yes, he's like a breath work expert. He's like hired
by like NFL teams and sports teams like.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
All the time.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Now I had no idea.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah, where he goes and he and he talks about
the importance of breath work and how it can like
immediately center you and refocus you. So I heard about
that once. Someone told me about the five one seven
breath theory. I've been incorporating him more and I'll tell
you what it works. And it calms you down, it refocuses,
it refocuses you. It kind of like gives you a
couple of seconds to get rid of the negative two

(18:34):
and then continue on.

Speaker 6 (18:35):
With whatever it is you're doing.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
So I highly recommend that you can do that anywhere,
at anytime, and it really does help calm you down
and make you feel more confident.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Let's do one, just one, hear you?

Speaker 1 (18:53):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
I feel good, feel better?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Right?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
