Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sonny when I was six point five. Good morning, It's
Joanna and Sean. And I don't know about you, Sean, but.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
In my household, we've already washed home alone at least
twenty six times this holiday season.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
You absolutely have to put it on at the very
least when you're starting to like decorate the tree.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Right.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
But one of the most iconic things about that movie
is that pizza.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Right.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
It plays a major role when they accidentally swipe the
tickets into the garbage, and you know, Kevin orders it
when his family's gone. It's called Little Nero's Pizza. Ye,
and it's coming to Vegas. You can order a Little
Nero's Pizza here.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I think this is so cool.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
So it's going to be a pop up that is
happening at Durango Casino, which is really amazing. And I
think it's like the signature cheese that Kevin.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Ordered, right, Yes, you have to order His famous.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Line is a lovely cheese pizza just for me.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
So and that's going to come in that limited edition
Little Nero's branded box, which is kind of cool collectible.
Right to have a little piece of the film and
probably re enact a lot of the photo you could
probably like take pictures.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
That look like you're in the movie with that box
as my guess.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, And you know it's so funny because I was
watching Home Alone this week and it's like my son's
jam right now, and I was looking at that pizza
because I know it's coming to Durango.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
And it looks really good.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah, So it is going to be at Durango actually,
and it'll be the week of It'll be December tenth
through the seventeenth.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Prince Street Pizza is.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Being what do you wanna call it, like given a
facelift or rebranded for that time, say.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It's getting a residency, a little.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Nero's residency coming to Durango starting December tenth.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Don't miss that now.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
One of the things to remind you of right now
is that at some point this morning, we're going to
play Mariah Carries.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
All I Want for Christmas is You.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
And there's a very big reason you need to be
listening for that, because it's a Mariah Monday today, that's.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Right, And we have one pair of tickets left to
see Mariah Carries Christmas Time in Las Vegas at Park
MGM this Wednesday, and you could win those last pair
of tickets.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
So that's it.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Make sure you are caller ten when you hear Mariah
Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You? Sometime between
now and ten am, you better be on that phone
because they're going to be going to the show.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Good Luck Sunday Ronos six.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Point four words that can instantly ruin your holiday dinner.
It's Sunday Mornings at Joanna and Sean on Sunday Win
to six point five, Las Vegas Official Christmas Music Station.
People had a lot of fun with this on social
media over the weekend, and we'll roll through some of
the best stances. But quick reminder on something huge we're

(02:34):
doing this morning.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yes, Mariah Carey, our Christmas Time show getting rave reviews,
and we have a pair of tickets, one final pair
of tickets to give.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Away to Wednesday night's show. So when you hear.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
All I Want for Christmas is You, give us a
call at seven oh two, seven nine, six, one oh
six five and you could be headed to Wednesday's show.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yep, you just got to be caller ten. So I
love this.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
What are four words they can instantly ruin a holiday
d dinner? Joanna, I like this one. I mean, I
think the obvious one is who you vote for, right, Like,
oh man, let's avoid that at all costs this holiday dinner.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, I mean, Christmas is supposed to be merry and bright,
and there's nothing merry and bright about politics, so don't
do that. And if you really want to ruin dinner,
talk about forgetting certain foods.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Like I forgot the gravy.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
That was a big one.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yes, I mean you need you need gravy when you
have Christmas dinner.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Right. Some of the other good responses from social media
over the weekend on that question. For no carbs this year,
No one wants to hear that showing up to a
holiday dinner no carbs this year exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And don't ever compare moms like my mom's is better,
meaning like comparing like your mom's mac and cheese to
the host's mac and cheese or whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Don't ever do that is turkey usually paint was a
good one, and this one will be a disaster. We're
out of wine. One wants to hear those four words.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
No, definitely not actually had four words. I think ruined
my Thanksgiving dinner when I was with all my family
and we're just talking about the holidays. I said what
I thought we should do this year, which is no
gifts this year. Oh no, I brought off the topic,
and maybe it was the time and the place, and
everybody was in such a good mood.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
And then I came to the table, acting like the.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Grinch and just said, no, no gifts this year only,
let's only buy stuff for the kids. Let's save some money.
And everybody thought, like I said, I said, is that
you know? Is turkey usually pink like? It was basically
that equivalent, and it ruined the vibe for sure?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Right is the Grinch in the room with us right now? Yes,
it was me four words. I'm going with that. I'll
ruin any holiday dinner as we're playing Monopoly later.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Later, I think that sounds awesome.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Well, someone's gonna flip the table over eventually, It's all
I'm saying. Coming up, just after seven, we have Verizons
twelve days of giveaways kicking off today. We have some
fun and expensive goodies for you to win at about
seven ten, So stick around Sunday Mornings at Joanna and Sean.

shine brighter for some very special kids in our community.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
A little good news to brighten your day. Here's your
sunny Story of the day.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
All right, Joanna, what are we smiling about on a
Monday morning?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
There's lots of smile about today. But I love celebrating
this event that happened over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
So it looks like the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Department Holiday Cheer early with its annual.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Toy drive called Operation Holiday.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Cheer, which benefits Saint Jude's Ranch.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
For Children I love this time of year.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
You get to see our boys in blue going out
and doing good in the community.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
It's so cool. Now for eight years.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
This event has brought the community together to donate new,
unwrapped toys for kids in foster care. And this really
reminds all of us that the holidays are happening for
everybody out there, but they can be very stressful for
children who.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Aren't with their families.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Now, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Captain Zan Weir
says that this partnership is all about making sure these
kids feel loved and celebrated during the holiday season.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
And every toy.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Donated will go to a child at Saint Ju's Ranch,
which is a safe haven for abuse and at risk
youth in our community.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
That's absolutely incredible. If any I'd say every year, if
you can find.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Even just one organization to give back to in a
little way, it's going to go a long way.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Absolutely, It's a simple way to make a big difference
in our community. And nothing says holiday spirit like bringing
a smile.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
To a kid's face.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
So if you want to read more about this incredible
event that just happened, you can right now at Sunny
when I was six five dot com.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Just click on Sunny Mornings.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Now let's celebrate some good news on this Monday, and
what's got you feeling good today?

Speaker 5 (08:15):
My good news is that I recently got a bonus. Oh,
I can't afford Christmas. Now, before I was so, I
was so worried that I wouldn't be able to afford Christmas.
And I was surprised by my company that I got
a Christmas bon It's like a holiday bonus.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Wow, amazing.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I mean Christmas bonuses are hard to come by these days.
So I cannot tell you happy we both are for you.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, I enjoyed ann Wake Up with Sunny Mornings with
Joanna and John on Sonny one oh six point five.
What's new on the big screen? What's screaming? And what's
happening around Vegas? She's got a cover.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
This is Joe in the no It is our brand
new entertainment report.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
What's going on? Joanna?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
So, are you a horror movie fan?

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Love them?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Are you a horror movie fan in the month of
December when holiday hits are everywhere?

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Only if it's the nightmare before Christmas? I guess I
feel like that's the same year.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
But it looks like horror movie fans.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Showed up big this past weekend because five nights sent
Freddy's Two shattered expectations with a sixty three million dollar opening,
setting a post Thanksgiving record.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Wow, that's crazy. It must have been six nights for
Freddy's this time.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
I guess.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
And it looks like that sequel is still the number
one movie in America in the month of December.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Go figure now in movie headlines right now.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Apple Music just dropped its list of heavy hitters for
twenty twenty five, and topping the charts Rosie and Bruno
Mars lpt and Kendrick Lamar and.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Sizza's Luthor I love a good collaboration.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Yeah, two of the biggest songs of the year. Now,
let's talk about big holiday movies and getting a reboot. Now,
nearly two decades after this movie came out the Holiday.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Did you ever see it?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
I know of it? The Jude Law one right, Yes,
no of it? Never saw it?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah, Jude Law, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Cameron Is.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
It's a classic now and it.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Looks like Apple TV is going to give it a
reboot as a mini series next year. A whole new cast,
but keeping the same premise.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Of the movie.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Okay, that's gonna be Yeah. The TV adaptations of movies
are always a little suspect.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, fans are definitely split. I mean, will lightning strike twice?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Who knows?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Or should classics stay untouched? I'm going with the untouched
route there, but we will see.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
And that's your Joe and the no report, Sonny one
or six point good Sonny would have six point five
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
It's Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I think a lot of people right now in the
mix of the annual office holiday party, and those are
supposed to.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Be fun, right, Ideally you'd think they're supposed to be Ryan. Sure,
a lot of people dread them, though, more than you
might imagine. We found a study here that shows that
one in four US workers would rather have a root
canal than attend their office holiday party.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Are you one of those people.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Joanna, I'm pleading the fifth Yeah, no comment.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
One in three Americans would rather go to the dentist
for any treatment, and one in four would rather have
a root canal. I'll be I'll be honest with Joanna.
It's a lot I look forward to the holiday, Christmas party.
And here's why it's twofold, all right. One is I
like any meal that I don't have to pay for,
especially if there's an open bar. And an open bar
is part of the second reason here. Inevitably someone at

(11:29):
the office holiday party is going to overindulge, and I
want to.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Be there to see there's always.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Something awkward that happens and remains infamous for years to come.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Right, So it is good, uh.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Water cooler chatter, Yeah, for a couple of weeks and
months after.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I do understand that.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
But I also understand the fact that you know, these days,
people people don't want to socialize with coworkers as much.
They want to be with their family, their friends outside
of work. And yeah, and sometimes they just dread you
know that Wednesday night holiday party.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Well you make a good point because they said one
of the findings in this study is suggests that there's
this greater office of like work, greater percentage workplace disengagement.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
Right, Like, people just to your.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Point don't want to connect outside of work, And I
totally get it.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
They're burnt out.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
They know that a bonus is not coming yep, right,
Like I feel like like the glory days of like
the office holiday party was so much fun because there'd
be like big prizes, vacations, bonuses, gift cards.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Given out, and nowadays that's just not.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Happening no, unfortunately that and a lot of people would
rather just have the cash, even if it's whatever it is.
Just give me the cash instead of a holiday party.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
And I will admit that is exactly what I'd rather
have to.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Coming up next to our Sunny story to day, Joanna,
what's happening.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Well, we're gonna tell you about a tradition that's been
warming hearts in our communities for years and it happened
over the weekend and it gives back in a big way.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Occurred.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
We'll fill you in on these details. Coming up next.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm Sunny
