Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sunny one o six point five, Las Vegas's best variety
of the eighties, nineties and today.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
My name is Sean.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
I like to think that at this time of the morning,
you and I might be sharing a cup of coffee together.
How about adding some cheese to it? Because that is
what they're doing in Sweden and Finland. It's a real thing.
Apparently they've been doing it for a long time, and
as is the case with everything, social media just kind
of breaks down those borders and makes them meaningless.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
And it's going worldwide now.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
In Sweden and Finland they call it cafe host, which
literally just means coffee cheese. It's pretty straightforward. But to
make it, you drop spongy cubes of a sweet, soft
cheese into a mug and then pour hot black coffee
on top of that cheese and it soaks up the
brew like a sponge and softens into like a creamy,
mildly sweet bite that many people say replaces milk and sugar.

(00:49):
I want to like this, I'm not sure texturally how
that's gonna go. I like coffee, I like cheese. I
think you'd have to pick the right cheese. I'll say this,
I'm fascinating, and it's only a matter of time before
Starbucks gets wind of this and starts marketing something like
a Bria Chino or a Caramel Monsterrado.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I don't know the name.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Possibilities are certainly endless, but I am intrigued by this.
Could be disgusting, could very well be delicious at the
same time, but I don't know. My eyes are opened
to a possibilities of cheese and coffee in the morning
will be havoc on your stomach, possibly too.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Wake up with sunny mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm
sunny one o six point five.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
All right, So if you've got vacation, fomo fear not.
New research says that staying home is actually the less
stressful and likely smarter way to go about things. Staycations
are back sunny, butto six point five. I'm Sean, so
this is interesting. This research says that over half of
us returned from vacation.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
More exhausted than when we left. And I get that.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It's all the stretches of travel right airport lines, delays,
traffic jams, crowds, and they're finding that stay vacations can
actually feel more like a real vacation. You just got
to do them the right way. And here's what they're saying.
The right way is you have to detach from work
and all of your usual routines. You got to treat
it like a real vacation. That means no housework. You

(02:14):
got to be unavailable to your co workers, put up
that out of office reply. Truly detach and disconnect, just
like you would be if you were off the grid
on some international goodaway.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
So do it.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Why not plan a little staycation Red Rock, Durango somewhere
here locally right Sunny one was six point five, coming
up six o'clock. Your first chance at one thousand dollars
with the work they payday to help fund that staycation.
S Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean back together.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Again on this Monday morning.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
We like to do an out of office check and
it's been I think that's what we're calling it, right, Joanna.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yes, that's what we're calling it.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I like the name. Yeah. So Joanna has been on
maternity leave.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
As you know, we like to do a little check
in find out how are going at home on Mondays?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
So what's new in the world of you and Isabella?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Well, I want to tell you it's slightly funny story
that happened. And listen, I and a lot of people
out there love a good filter on a photo every
now and then. I'm definitely not opposed to people who
do it. I do it myself sometimes, but I think
there's a point sometimes with certain filters out there, certain
apps right that like take the filter a little too far.

(03:27):
And I had a friend recently come over to meet
Isabella and listen, she loves a good you know filter
for Instagram and social media. More power to her, all
about it. But when she took a selfie of herself
holding my daughter Isabella, you know, she took the photo
and she's like, do you care if I post a
photo on social media with me and Isabella? And I'm like, no,
that's totally fine, thank you for asking.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
All good.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, But what I don't think she realized is that
the filter not only like filtered her face, but it
filtered my daughter, Isabella's face. Like she's like holding my
daughter like a little baby, right, So I like, look
at Isabella and she has eyelashes, like full dark eyelashes,
and I'm like, does she realize she filtered my daughter?

(04:11):
And like, are people gonna think I filtered my daughter
and gave her that, like took that photo.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Like I was like, should I say something? Should I
not say something? I ended up not saying something.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
But you know, I think it's just like a little
warning out there, like if you're gonna filter yourself, cool,
but maybe just watch and make sure the filter doesn't
get on you know, a seven week year old baby, Now.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Oh my god, that's super funny.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I do that with my daughter occasionally, but it's like
it's intentional where I'll flip the camera around and yeah,
we'll do fun ones like that. But I think if
you're if anyone follows you on Instagram, I think they're
they're pretty well aware that you're not filtering her because
you've had like a professional photo shoot in your house,
like every week. You must I was joking here, like
you must have a live in photographer, cause it's like

(04:54):
there's some really beautiful pictures you've been posting of Isabella
and she looks different every week. I know, they grow
up so fast at this point.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
This I'm doing some things like I feel like and
I feel like most parents do this. There's things that
you wish you would have done with you your first baby. Yeah,
and I never did the newborn photos with Brock, Like,
I didn't do any of that stuff. And I look
back and I'm like, oh my god, look how fast
he's grown up. I wish I had those newborn photos

(05:23):
and those early on photos, and I was.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Such a regret.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Right. So this time with Isabella, I've been making sure
we've been capturing all of her you know, newborn stages
because she's gonna be almost two months soon, and I
mean time's flying, right. She never looks the same day
to day, right.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Take all the photos.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
That's one thing a boss of mine used to tell
me is you will never regret taking the photos.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
You'll never regret it.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
You'll always wish you took more photos and not just photos,
videos too. So yeah, I'm definitely soaking in this maternity time.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
And she's my.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Last baby, right like, I gotta do it while she's this.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Little right exactly, And I know it to me, this
is the last one. I think we're done after this. Well,
good to talk to you as always, Joanna, and we'll
look forward to catching up on our next out of
office check in next week.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Absolutely, happy Monday, Have a great week.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Everyone, this is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm
Sunny one oh six point five.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Sonny one O six point five, Las Vegas's best variety
the eighties, nineties, and today it's Sean Now. A few
years back, I got involved with the Make a Wish
Foundation as part of a big fundraiser and we raised
the money and I met a lot of families and
it just really touched my heart the work that they do.
And ever since I've been donating every month and paying

(06:40):
attention to the things that they do, and I wanted
to put a spotlight on some stuff that Make a
Wish Nevada is doing here locally for a six year
old boy named Lucas Now. He got a lymphoma cancer
diagnosis last November. He's been spending a lot of time
in the hospital getting chemo. None of that is fun,
but you know, to make the day at the hospital

(07:01):
a little more tolerable. He's been doing a lot of
lego construction and he's been mastering a replica of the
Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai. So when it was time
for him to choose a wish through Make a Wish, Nevada.
He chose to go to Dubai. He wants to see
the bird Khalifa in person, and he's gonna get to
do that. He's also going to be doing things like

(07:23):
riding camels and getting like fully immersed in the adventure.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
And that's all thanks to Make a Wish Nevada.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
If any of this is touching to you as it
is to me, and just creating some incredibly memorable experiences
for these kids, get involved with Make a Wish Nevada,
either volunteer, donate, or but everything you need to know
up at sunnywino six five dot com. So what unexpected

(07:53):
thing got you in trouble with TSA?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I would love to hear that story. Seven oh two.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Seven nine six one oh six five it's sunny when
it was six point five. I'm Sean, So I was
coming back through TSA security at the.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Fort Lauderdale Airport. I'm away home from vacation last week.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I forgot that I had a tube of like seventy
five SPF sunscreen in my crossbody bag because you need
it here right. TSA would not let me bring it
with me, no matter how much I pleaded. They say, look,
if you want to keep this, we have to escort
you to the front desk and you can check it.
Imagine checking just a single tube of sunscreen and then
waiting for it at baggage claim to come down with

(08:29):
everyone else's luggage. Right, I just said, look, I don't
want to risk missing my flight over one tube of sunscreen.
So some very lucky TSA agent has some great sun
protection thanks to me.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Sheila, Good morning. What's going on? How are you?

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Good morning? I'm good.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
So, Sheila, have you had kind of an interesting interaction
with TSA and maybe they took something from you like
what happened to me?

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Yes, so a little different, but very embarrassing. I forgot.
I'm usually very good about you know, I have a
couple of hear things, and I'm usually very good about
taking them out. But I forgot one particular one that
was in a place that people don't usually see it.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Oh okay, and easily forgotten about. It's right, and the
machine was going off and we couldn't figure out why,
and then they had to do like the you know,
the pat down thing, and then it dawned on mere right.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Right, they got they got the wand out it probably
started beeping at a certain spot and you're like, you
know what, that's that's the problem here.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
So funny story exactly.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
And here I am wondering if I have to take
off my watch every time I go through TSA. You
have an entirely different set of problems than I do.
Oh man, Sheila, thanks for that laugh.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I needed that today.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
It's funny when it was six point five coming up
eight point thirty.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
We're going commercial free for an hour to start your
morning and getting you more tickets to Sea World and
sets me place at eight.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Forty Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm Sonny one
O six point five.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Sonny one oh six point five, Las Vegas's best variety
of the eighties nineties. And today it's Sean Good Morning,
Week two of our Buzzin' for Beyonce trivia game. Here
you know some Beyonce facts. It could win your tickets
to the Cowboy Carter Tour at Allegiance Stadium on July
twenty fifth. Today's trivia question, which you are going to
answer over at Sunny Window six five dot com, is

(10:26):
who is Beyonce married to? You can give us stage name,
real name, whatever, you want. But if you know the answer,
head to Sonny Window six five dot com and tell
us the answer to who is Beyonce married to and
you could win yourself a pair of tickets to see
her at Allegiance Stadium on the twenty fifth. All right,
good luck, let's get into your sunny story of the
day here. The Make a Wish Foundation is very important

(10:49):
to me. I donate every month ever since I got
involved with one of their fundraisers a while back, and
locally here in the valley with Make a Wish. Nevada
six year old Lucas Ortiz. He received a lymphom with
cancer diagnosis last November and obviously that time in the
hospital getting chemo is not fun. He's been making it
more tolerable bit getting really into lego buildings and he

(11:12):
recently completed a replica of the Birge Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.
So when it was time for him to choose a
wish through Make a Wish, he has chosen a trip
to go to Dubai and see the Burj Khalifa in person.
He's going to get a bunch of other exciting activities too,
like camel riding, get really immersed in the adventure of

(11:33):
that city.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
But that's all thanks to Make.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
A Wish Nevada and the great work that they do.
If you'd like to get involved or donate, by all means,
I would encourage you to. I love seeing the work
that they do here for some of our most deserving
kiddos here in the valley. Sunny one of six point five,
coming up ten o'clock your next chance at one thousand
dollars for the work they pay day
