Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is that time of year, Joanna, where we find
out if our dogs have basic names. It is sunny
one of six point five Sunday Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
So at the end of the year.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Pretty much every year, the American American Kennel Club they
release their most popular boy and girl dog names for
the year.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Have you glanced at this list at all?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
I haven't.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
I just know that every year Bella is like number
one for girl dog names.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Number two actually this year.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
What I think is also fascinating is that they includes
some information here about the names of some celebrity dogs
as well, which we will get to. But most popular
boy names this year, Max taking the top, followed by Hank.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I've never met a dog in my life named Hank.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Hank the tank, I think dog.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I do appreciate dogs with human names though, right sure.
Also on the boys list, Teddy, Cooper, Gus. These are
good names, right, Gus, that's cute. Gus is a cute one.
Duke and Maverick and Bear those are some other good
ones too. And then on the girls list, of course
you mentioned Bella in number two. Number one overall Luna Luna.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Okay, I have a dog named Daisy, and I know
Daisy's always up there too.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Number three is well looking pretty basic on your end
of the Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Mine's after Daisy duck.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I love if people name their Daisy's after flowers or whatnot,
but mine's.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
After the duck.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
So celebrities don't usually have the common names for their
kids either, right, but never so. Ryan Seacrest, my old boss.
He has a couple of dogs named Baxter and Pippa.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Okay, Baxter is pretty common.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Baxter, yeah all right, Baxtar, yeah yeah, Anchorman right there.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Miley Cyrus has a dog named Emu and Fanny Fanny.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That's cute.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Emu and Fanny are both winners as far as I'm concerned.
Lady Gaga's dogs are named Asia and Gustavo.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Gustavo very proper, was a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't know about naming dogs or cats after continents, though,
that's an interesting, interesting choice. And then Jennifer Aniston's furry
friend is named Norman.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
How about that.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I love the name Norman.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Hillie Jenner I think has a Norman too. That's popular
in the celebrity world.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Ah well, there you go.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Those are your most popular dog and cat names for
twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Wake Up with Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I'm sunny one.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I was six point five.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Monday mornings are always so much better when you can
have a little laugh.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
It's Joanna and Sean right here on sunny when it
was six point five, and we call this are sonny
funny and Sean, you found a perfect one this morning.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
This is absolutely the kind of thing I would try
to do to get a job. Joanna, have you ever
considered rapping, like becoming a rapper to trying to get
a job somewhere?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Come on, that's so nummy.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
So there's a guy here in Las Vegas, a baseball
player named John Howard Bobo, and that is exactly what
he did to try and get a job with the
viral Savannah Bananas baseball team. He did a rap video
all about playing baseball for them.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I mean, listen, if you were going to wrap to
get a job, the Savannah Banana seems appropriate to do so.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Right, Yeah, I mean they have never been to one
of their games. They look like a ton of fun.
They are going to be at Las Vegas Ballpark this
coming year. Okay, but I mean it's it's stunts and
tricks and comedy intertwined with baseball. And this is perfect
for what this guy did. He calls it Banana bo
that's the name of this song. Here, I'm an idiot,
let me hit the right one.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
I'm moved, but I'm trying to come down and play
Savannah when I'm gonna make the fans get up out
of seats.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And they got.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
He's good, right, awesome trying to dance.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
So he's he's actually like super talented as a rapper.
Like I'm telling you, if the baseball thing doesn't work out,
he can just straight up fall back on his wrap talents.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Got everyone's attention.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
He's smooth, It flowed nicely. It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
So the thing is, as soon as he sent the
video to the Savannah Bananas or they got wind of
the song, they invited him immediately to a tryout for
the baseball That is awesome.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Vegas local could be part of the Savannah Bananas.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I know, right, you gotta have to get tickets for
an upcoming game. Yep, and coming up next always guaranteed
to put a smile on your face. It's our sunny
story of the day, Joanna, which you got?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I've got a magical story this morning about one hundred
local kids scoring a shopping spree thanks.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
To a local business. We'll tell you all about it
coming up next. Sonny one little six point.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Five Joanna and Sean on sunny Wine of six point
five guaranteed to make a smile. It's our sunny story
of the day, Joanna, What you got today?

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Well, on Friday, it was definitely a day full of
holiday cheer in Henderson, as Goodwill of Southern Nevada gave
one hundred local kids a shopping spree to remember.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Oh man, I love Goodwill. They're always doing good stuff.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
They sure do. Now.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
These children, served by nonprofits like Feet, Foster Kinship and
Speedway Children's Charities, each received a one hundred dollars gift
card to pick out their favorite fine like a true
treasure hunt.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Now.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
The celebration started in a very festive way. Santa Claus
rolled in on a Henderson fire engine.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Oh man, get all the bells and whistles.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yeah, I've been talking about bells, whistles and sirens. Firefighters
and police officers also showed up and teamed up as
their personal shopping buddies making it really special and magical
and truly an individual experience for every child there.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I'm such a big kid. Can we get a fire
truck here? Please?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Studio right now.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
It was more than just a shopping trip, for sure.
It was a day of joy, community and holiday spirit
that really put a spotlight on the good work that
Goodwill of Southern Nevada does. Now that's your Sunny story
of the day. You can read more right now at

Megan, good morning. What's your good news?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
My good news is that my little baby boy finally
took his first set. All right, love that.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
What's really amazing, though, is that he.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Was on track to start walking. You know, I think
they said.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Like three or four months from now, and.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
So the fact that he did it this early in
the game, if you.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Think I will, yeah, yeah, we'll take it. Love it.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Now'll see good news happens and big ways, small ways,
and even even.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
It is the newest addition to Sunday Mornings with Joanna
and Sean. It's our entertainment report, Joe in the Know.
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Well.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
In streaming news, Netflix is dropping back to black now.
This is the highly anticipated Amy Winehouse biopic.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Have you ever been hearing about this?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Oh? I'm so thrilled about this.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah, a lot of people have been talking about this
for a while now, and it's going to take a
deeper dive into her music rise, her very turbulent love
life and struggles with fame, and it's promising a very
emotional ride for fans out there, which we all know
Amy Winehouse had a very emotional life.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Didn't shame generational talent, generational problems as well.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Yeah, yeah, very very sad.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
But in music newsome positive news here bad Buddy stole
the spotlight at the Latin Grammys, taking home Album of
the Year, which is good, you know, getting his hype
even higher before the big game early next year.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, I saw, and I believe me, I think there
was all sorts of pictures from Harry Reid airport. Yeah,
like of all the Latin Grammy stars that were in town.
I could not keep my eyes off of those.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yeah, it looked awesome. And did you hear this?

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Prince Harry and Megan Markle reportedly asked the Kardashians to
delete all the photos of them from Chris Jenner's star
studded seventieth birthday bash last.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Week to avoid ruffling royal feathers.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I can't imagine asking Harry and Meghan to do anything
that's weird.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
But I mean, at this point, it like everybody has
already seen the photos.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
It's you know what I mean, It's like once it's.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Posted on social media, Liz forever, and they can't hide
the fact that they'd rather party with the Kardashians instead of,
you know, being proper royals.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I guess I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I just said such a weird request to have to
make to Harry and Meghan Markle's.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
No, they asked the Kardashians.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Oh okay vice versas Yeah, they Oh, you gotta say yes.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
If that's the case, I.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Would think so, because all the pictures are now down.
But like I said, it was already posted on social media,
so those things aren't going anywhere anytime soon. But that's
your entertainment scoop this morning, all things, sound, screens and stars.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Your morning, Joe in the No Report.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I'm Sunny one six point five.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Sonny one O six point five. Good morning, It's Joanna
and Sean. Now look, talking for a while about the
cost of Thanksgiving going up pretty much across the board,
everything from food and drinks to travel and outfits. But
Joanna and I found a story that's going to completely
turn the tables. What if you got paid to eat
Thanksgiving dinner? This is pretty wild.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
This is awesome And where can we sign up? Because
it's happening right here in Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Isn't it? Yes, So this is a dream gig.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Really, So Vegas Insider is hiring a Thanksgiving buffet tester,
so you basically get to sample holiday buffets all over
the strip and one winner is going to get two
grands in cash. Wow, And that's just to cover you know,
all the hotels and stays, and it's a self guided tour,
so you have to like figure out where you're going
to go on your own, Okay, but the point is

(10:44):
you have to share all the reviews, right, So they're
looking for someone who, yes, has a big appetite, but
also can tell a story, right, can write a really
good review about all these things.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I mean, I don't If you can't do that, learn
to do it.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Because this really sounds like it's the perfect opportunity. And
I hope of Vegas local wins this opportunity, right, because
anybody can apply, but I really hope a Vegas local
gets the opportunity to taste, you know, all the Thanksgiving
buffet feasts all over town and then tell us about it,
because I think this sounds so awesome.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I have a feeling you might have a bias here,
but do you have a favorite buffet in town?

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Oh my god, I am biased a bit the win buffet.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I knew you're gonna say that it is.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
But I mean, yeah, even I was trying to put
my bias aside a little bit. Yeah, it's so good,
it's so well done.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
So yeah, that's gonna be my top one.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
And I don't know, I would probably just set up
camp in bacchan All at Caesar's Palace and right I
runner up. I write twenty five reviews just for the
Bock Baccanoll. So applications close on November twenty fifth, and
the winner is going to be announced on November twenty sixth.
But that good luck to anyone who wants to enter.
Coming up next, our sunny story of the day, guaranteed

(11:58):
to put a smile on your face, Joanna, which you
got on here.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
We've got a great story today about how one hundred
local kids got an early start on holiday gifts. We'll
f fill you in on those details coming up next
six months. Over the weekend, there were some social media
posts going around showing one of our city's most iconic

(12:22):
venues on fire.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
But the good thing is it was fake.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yes, And look, I consider myself, Joanna, to be very
good at detecting AI. The problem is that AI is
getting more and more realistic and thus like harder and
harder to detect. Right, So it was the sphere right here,
I mean one of our newest and already iconic attractions
on the strip. It looked like it was on fire,
and it was two separate social media posts where people

(12:50):
had used AI to create the illusion that the sphere
was burning to the ground. And I, for one like,
look at a quick glance, it looks real.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Yeah, it's pretty crazy how realistic AI is becoming, and
especially AI that is not labeled as fake content. You
really have to be on the lookout and looks like
you and LV is kind of leaving leading the charge
in this. One of the professors spoke out and said
that when you see AI generated content, it's gonna look
a little too clean, a little too perfect compared to

(13:21):
real life news coverage.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
It's just another reminder to just like slow down, look
at various resources for news and check for context. And
actually maybe in this case, like wow, if this spear
was on fire, would I be seeing it like on
social media for the first time or might this have
made its way to like mainstream news sources? Right?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, we have become a society that is a one
click culture now, so make sure to to click it,
click it. Don't we check these sources before falling for
these fake ia content pieces.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
And what I'll tell you is not fake though, is
we are going commercial free for an hour next and
getting you more SeaWorld tickets at eight forty with the
name drops and make sure we have your name is
Sonny one six dot com.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sonny one oh
six point five.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
So what's that one simple site that you can instantly
look at and your mood is lifted.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
It's Joanna and Sean right here on Sunny when it
was six point five.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
And there are.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Happy sights all around us every day that put a
smile on our faces.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Let's let's be honest.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Sometimes, especially on like maybe a rainy day, right, it
can feel a little bit harder to find that smile,
maybe find that beauty in the world. But I think
what we're getting at here is that there's a lot
of beauty to be found in the world if you
just open your eyes for it, right, Because it's easier
to be found than you think.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Absolutely, And according to a new pull out there, it
looks like the happiest everyday sights include things like a
rainbow after rain, a baby smile, and a clear night
sky full of stars.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Those are the top three things.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Those are very good ones. I do when I see
a fat baby leg as opposed to a smile, I smile.
I don't go.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Grab that look.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
That is not in the top ten, but some some
other things that are. I mean, come on, I feel
like you and I probably get to smile over this
every single day. Catching sight of a dog so excited
it can't stop wagging its tail.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Oh yeah, like the zoomie slim good zoomie session us.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Seeing an older couple walking hand in hand together.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Oh man, all right, that's a good one.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Watching a random act of kindness unfold.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Right in front of you.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yes, unless it's one of those paid forward chains at Starbucks,
And then I'm like, oh come on.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
And then rounding out the top ten of smile from
a stranger, a toddler giggling, and a sleepy pet stretching.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Can I add to the list. Seeing something that is
insanely marked down, like an incredible sale, Oh a good deal?

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Oh yeah, I just want to spend that money. Love
that one too. Stuning one o six poin
