Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning and happy Tuesday. It's Joanna and Sean right
here on Sunny when I was.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Six point five.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
We appreciate you starting your day with us. And I
know that you have been pondering something.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
You need a little advice.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
This morning, Sean, don't you uh yeah, you know.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
I think we all try to do the best job
we can as parents, right, and sometimes you think about
maybe other people's kids too.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
And I'm wondering if I'm getting too involved in this.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
Okay, what happened, So let me just open the phone
lines here real quick, seven oh two seven nine six
one o six five if you want to chime in
on this. But so, when I'm coming home from work
every day, it's around the same time kids are getting
out of school, and my neighbors have this like fifteen
year old kid, and I've seen him last couple of times.
I'm coming home like vaping on the way home, like
on the sidewalk. I know his parents don't know about it,
(00:45):
and I'm wondering if I need to like nark on
the kid, you know what I mean. Like I don't
know him or his parents all that well, but as
a parent, I think i'd kind of want to know
myself and I just don't know, you know, if I
shouldn't turt myself into the situation.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I think, well, right away, my first question was going
to be how well do you know this family?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
And if it's not well, I think I.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Would have a hard time telling somebody's parents just because
of the fact that.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I don't know them well enough.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
I don't know their family dynamic and ooh, I don't
want to start any trouble with any neighbors.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
It's like we share a like a their next door
to us, and I like it all goes into their yard,
they'll throw it back. It's just like we're kind of
we wave to each other for taking out the garbage
or something.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
But you're not like inviting them over for a barbecue.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
No, not not really.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
But again, if it's my kid, I would want to
know if they were vaping.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Oh that's years old, I know, right, Like why would
they want to start that habit?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
So yeah, that's really tough.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I feel like you maybe should talk to the kid
and be like the cool neighbor guy, right like, instead
of going to his parents, then you're going to be
then your house is going to get egged, like go
to maybe go to him, do you like like right
down the window like kind of like cool cool guy.
Sean like ay man, like what's up you vavee dude,
Like don't don't you shouldn't be that habit man, it's nasty,
like to.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Like the cool guy.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
That is, uh that is one way? Do I want
to be the cool guy? Do I want to be
like the good parent?
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Right?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
So I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
That's I'm I'm really torn. But we'll see if someone
else has a thought on this. Uh hey, good morning.
Uh Dana, what do you think here?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
What? What should I do? What are your thoughts? I'm
not a narc person, but you know I do believe
in you should you know, give the teenager the benefit.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Of a doubt, being like you know that's not good
for you.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
You should stop, you know, see them do it again?
Be like, yeah, I'm going to tell your parents they.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
You know it again?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Tell a parent?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, yeah, I think right. I kind of agree with
that too, Dana, like put it on them like it's
like almost like a little warning in a.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Way, put them unnoticed. Like I don't want to be
a nark. I'm not into that.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
Also, you can be vaping you know, and you know,
give like put the onus on the on the kid
they're they're fifteen.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
I kind I see where you're coming from on this one.
Uh look again he is he is fifteen and it's
not a habit. Look if he were over, if you're eighteen,
I would say, it's not my business. Yeah, and health wise,
I don't think we still like really know what's what's
in all the vapes and stuff.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
You know, they're expensive, just like you know, put all
that money into something.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Else on right, that's I think the angle you take there, like, right,
like why are you spending your money on that stuff?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Like make them start thinking? I love that. Thank you
Dany for giving us a.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Call and have a good run.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Awesome. Well maybe we'll take a couple more calls on this. Yeah, okay, right,
thanks a lot.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Wake Up with Sunday Mornings with Joanna and Sehn on
Sonny one oh six point five.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
It's always tough deciding if you should step into a
situation or just.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Be a bystander.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
And I think that's what you're kind of feeling this morning, Sean,
based on something that you saw one of your teenage
neighbors doing.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Well.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, so he's fifteen.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
I've caught him a couple of times when I'm driving
home from work as he's walking home from school and
he's vaping. Know, Like, if it's my kid, i'd want
to know. I want to talk to the parents. I
don't know if I should talk to him or go
directly to their pa parents that live next door to me. Right,
I don't know them super well. We're just kind of cordial.
We wave, you know, we're not like super close. But
I think I think i'd want to know. So I
(04:10):
am reaching out to our listeners here to say, like,
what would you do in this situation, because I frankly
don't know really if I'm going to put my foot
in my mouth or overstep or caustatic with the neighbors,
get this kid to hate me.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I think the thing is that you said he's fifteen, right,
Like if he was like younger, like I would say,
like fourteen and like below, it's like go right to
the parents, but like fifteen, like you kind of want
to be the cool neighbor. You want to keep things
cordial with your neighbors. You don't want to cause any drama,
So maybe go to the kid.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
I don't know, Okay, do you want to pick this
one up here?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I think we've got a call her here all right, yeah,
I know paul has been on hold.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Good morning, Paula. What do you what do you think
Sean should do in this situation.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
I think he should just stay out of the business,
like the kid's eventually going to get caught, Like why
why Like I would just like stay out of it.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
It's just like cause it.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
Might cause unnecessary drama between the neighbor.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, yeah, I think, And then you get that label
of being a nark, and it's like the teenagers, like, dude,
you could have come to me, like you're just like
come to me? Is it of my parents? Like I
think that would bother me as a teenager?
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Right, you want to be the ark?
Speaker 3 (05:16):
He's ever going to be the favor Yeah, out of
the not somebody.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
I don't want that label right before Halloween getting t
peed and egged and stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Right, definitely not. You don't want to be the nark neighbor.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
I feel like that's kind of like the consensus right now.
I don't know, but you know, we appreciate your input too.
I mean, I think you're onto something.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
Paula exactly, Well, thank you, sure, all.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Right, and we'll take one more here.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
I know, I know that CC's been waiting to chime in.
Good morning, CEC. So what do you think should Sean
talk to the can or what?
Speaker 6 (05:48):
Yes? Heck, yeah, you have to tell them because we
don't know what that vapor.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Is really doing.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
And down the line, he might start acting up, getting
agitated and the parents.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Wanted like what, I'm a chat.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
Maybe they'll be blamed on a whole all this stuff,
but it's that vacant. I'm not sure. So I think
he's he should definitely skill a.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Neighbors, right, you think, like let him know, just see
see if he gets kind of a wake up call, right.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Most definitely, but he don't wake up.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Oh that's the way to put it.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
C see.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I mean yeah, but again I think everybody kind of
agrees here, like talk to this teenage boy.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
First, exactly all right, all right, well I will keep
you posted on how these I will. I will next
time I see him vaping on the drive home, I'm
gonna I'm gonna put the window down all time.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
It would not be the cool neighbor.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
But like you know, slightly lay the SmackDown just a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Hello, fellow cool kid.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Just a reminder, name Drop goes out seven forty, getting
you universal horror, unleashed tickets, stick around and win with
Sunday Mornings Sunny one six points. We all might be
experiencing gift flation. It's sunny Wind was six point five
Las Vegas his best variety of the eighties, nineties, and today, Joanna.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Another word for this.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I think it's called gift fatigue, and I think we're
all feeling it, right, You're.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Right about that. I feel like, not too long ago,
we were talking about like tipping fatigue and tip flation,
and now gift flation and gift fatigue are the new things,
especially headed into the holidays, right.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Yeah, I'm on gifting culture people say is getting out
of hand.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Right.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
So, there's this survey out there that says half of
us are experiencing gift fatigue just because prices are getting
out of control and people want to give and receive
gifts for pretty much everything these days.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
That's very, very true, and the numbers are actually pretty high.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
According to this new study, it looks like the average
birthday gift is fifty six dollars.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
For adult now is that for someone I think, like,
you know, personally, are you spending fifty six bucks on
a gift for an adult?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
I'm actually spending more.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Okay, to be honest, that one seems low for me.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
This next one seems really high for me.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yes, eighty three dollars is the average price for a
gift for a kid. Yeah, I would flip those, I think,
I think depending on the age of the kid, but
I mean I'm probably I would. I would imagine that
just based on the cost of kids things like, you know,
toys and things like that, they would probably be less
expensive than you know, you're adult. Yeah, things for adults,
you know, spanks of electronics and things like that.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Now this one actually surprises me to a little bit.
Here it says about eighty five dollars for a wedding
gift is the average these days.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
What do you think about that? You think that feels
lower on.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
That's fairly on target.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Okay, think for if you're going to a wedding gift
a wedding, you're probably spending I would say between seventy
five and one hundred dollars depending on how well you
know the couple. So I think eighty five probably falls
right there in that wheelhouse.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Okay, I think, let's see, I'm really realizing some things
about myself this morning. I'm spending way too much money
on people. I need to stop because I feel like
I'm even higher than some of these numbers on this list.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
And well that's like for a wedding.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Again, these are like you got to think about averages, right,
So of course for you spending like if you're spending
one fifty, there's people out there spending fifty. Yeah, I
still think that eighty five is probably okay. And then
they say that going rate for a holiday gift is
sixty five dollars.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
That's not too bad. Yeah, I'm pretty I agree.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
With that one. Now, this really blew my mind.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
For kids, weekly allowances are averaging thirty seven dollars per child.
Who that says weekly, not monthly, mind you. That is
a who was getting thirty seven dollars a week for
an allowance.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
How many chores is that child doing?
Speaker 3 (09:26):
If any any I was.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
If you were going to ask me like, what's the
going rate for allowance, I would have said twenty bucks.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
I mean, I don't know, I don't know. I'm not
in that world quite yet.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
See, I never had like, quote unquote like an allowance.
Like the money I got was earned through either grades.
I was paid for grades. I was also paid for
chores like mowing the lawn, washing the cars.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Things like that.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, and for me, I think of allowance as kind
of like the chores fall under that, like if you
do these things, then you get.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Your weekly allowance. But yeah, thirty seven dollars for that
does seem high.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
And if that's only per child you have multiple kids,
that's really high.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
Right, And then let's not forget about the Toothfair. Those
payouts are close to fifteen dollars a child these days.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
All right.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
I mean I would would have guessed around ten bucks.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
So yeah, tooth Fairy.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Sorry, hello is getting a fiver.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
She's getting a fiver in your neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
From your neighborhood, tooth Fairy.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
All right.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
I think certain areas of town the price goes up
or down.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Maybe probably summer late it's way higher.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Wake Up with Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on
Sunny one six point five, It.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Is time for your daily dose of positivity, and it
comes in the form of our Sunny Story of the Day,
Sunny Mornings at Joanna and Sean.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Joanna, what'd you find going on in the community today?
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Well, October is a big awareness month and it looks
like Fashion Show Las Vegas will be honoring Breast Cancer
Awareness Month with return of their annual Pink Bag celebration. Now,
this is an effort to raise awareness for this important
cause and they do a big event that's actually happening
a week from today, located in the Great Hall on
(10:58):
the fourteenth and it's called their Pink Bag Event.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Okay, so what is exactly is the pink Bag?
Speaker 4 (11:06):
I mean, it says that it's an afternoon filled with activities, entertainment,
community connection.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Can you win yourself like a cool pink bag?
Speaker 1 (11:14):
You can actually win yourself a lot of really cool stuff,
which you know, you go to Fashion show, you want
to walk away with something cool.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
You can do that at this event.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
But most importantly, you'll be able to hear from survivors
and they share their very inspiring stories. There's going to
be some great demonstrations from places like Norde Grum in
terms of like head scarf styling and some cool things
like that. You be able to participate in a tile
painting activity, which I always love, like those group art
projects that you can do, and then it could be
(11:43):
like showcased in them all. I love that there's going
to be a scavenger hunt that's going on as well,
and then you get that branded swag bag, which.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Is kind of cool. I'm guessing it's pink raw.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Yeah, and then like you said, you'll be able to
enter to win really great raffle prizes as well.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
And I also love this.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
They have a You Are Beautiful exhibit that is launching
that same day, and it's designed to celebrate positivity and
you know, just remind you know, breast cancer survivors that
they are not forgotten and that they are supported and
they are loved.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
It's definitely an important month and the event itself is
going to be Tuesday, October fourteenth, from eleven to two
at the Great Hall inside Fashion Show Las Vegas. There's
a lot of great stuff happening this month, actually, there
really is.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
October is busy.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
I think it's like the good weather and it's just
you know, people want to go out and support some
of their favorite organizations.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Yeah, right, Like it's cool enough, it's a great time
to get out and do especially like some good five case.
I know, I think we're going to be at the Heartwalk,
the American Heart of Safe Association's annual heart Walk, and
that is going to be on Saturday, October eighteenth.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
You and I are going to be hosting that one.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
That's always such a fun of that.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
You know, Sunny has been a proud supporter of their
heart Walk for.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Many many years.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
As at the first time the Heartwalk is going to
be at the Las Vegas Ballpark. We're no strangers to
you know, supporting events out there, so it really is
a fantastic venue for a big walk.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Right m And then not only that, but the Neon
Dog Walk for the Nevada SPCA also same day, same
day park for us to be in two places at once,
but we still support the Nevada SPCA.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
We do it that starts at four o'clock in the afternoon, so.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
You can do both.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yes, I'm gonna be doing I'm gonna be doing both.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
It's just like a fun event to bring your dogs, dress.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Them up, you dress up in your Neon gear.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
It's always such a blast that one's going to be
at Silverado Ranch Regional Park, which is a beautiful setting
of course to bring the doggos, gorgeous park there for
them to run around, tons.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Of activities and vendors, and of course we love supporting
our furry friends in the community.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
We love doing that through the Nevada SPCA. So lots
of opportunities for you to be a part of community
initiatives and support them this month.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
And we'll put everything you need to know. Of course
as Sunny Window six five dot com. Just click on
Sunny Mornings till.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
One o six.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
It's here Amazon Prime Day and there goes all of
my money.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Good morning gets jor Sean.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
But seriously, I can't tell you how long I've just
been putting stuff on my cart for today to see
what stuff in my cart would.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Go and sale.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Yeah, because it gives you that little notification that's like
has dropped x percentage since you added it to your cart.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
I've been looking for some patio chairs, like I'm trying
to create a little outdoor like escape right, Okay, so
I'm looking for some patio chairs because my other ones
are torn to bits. Yeah, and then a fire pit. Actually,
just want to create a little ambiance in the backyard.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
I love that for me. I think I'm just all
about the holidays right now. So it's like toys and
stuff for the kids in there that I'm like, I
want to wait until Prime Day for me to get
a discount.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Every time we do this, you make me look bad.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
No, no, not at all, Like I.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Know you want to spoil yourself, Sean, but I'm thinking
about the kids here.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I made it didn't come across that way a little bit.
But yeah, like you know, things are.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Expensive, like I've got like Tony's you know those Tony
characters for the Tony Box.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Oh ye yeah, it's like rock.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Favorite thing, and those things are not cheap. It's like
twenty bucks a pop for character, but they do go
on sale for Prime Day. So like, there are certain
things that I know I can get a pretty good
deal on for the holidays right now, and so I'm.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Just getting ahead of it.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
This is usually when we get like an extra like
an echo for the house somewhere, because those are always
on deep deep discount. The kidd are yeah, I don't
know who's still buying kindles, but those are still going
on sale, yeah, yep. And the ring cameras too are
always a good deal on Prime.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Days, yes, exactly.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
And if you need stuff for like the baby, you
can get like really good stuff right now. I got
all my stuff a ready, but I always know you
can just find really good discounts no matter what.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
You're looking for during Prime Day. And by the way,
we're not sponsored by Amazon.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
I wish, I wish we were.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
But yeah, that said, you and I were pretty entranced
by this one particular thing that's going to be deeply
discounted on and it's called a pluffle.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
First of all, hate the name. I don't know why.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
I don't know where you came up with the word pluffle,
but this is basically, it's a It is a human
sized dog bed.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
And I think you and I both want one of
these things.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
I want one, but I know what's gonna happen. Like
I would be like, oh, this is perfect for me,
but my my have three dogs, right Like they would
live in that pluffle and then they would tear it
up and so that I wouldn't want to get in
because it does look just like a giant dog bed.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
That's that's the thing, is like, you don't have to
have a dog to want to live like one sometimes.
So this thing apparently has been on Shark Tank that's
where it got had start. It's been on Drew Barrymore's show,
it was on Good Morning America. And when I tell
you it is a human sized dog bait, like, there's
no other way to explain it.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
That's just what it is.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
So I don't know if you've ever seen this, Like
for kids, they have like those like inflatable canoes, Like
for children who have like anxiety or whatnot, you like
put them in this canoe that like makes them feel
like snuggled. And this is exactly what it is. They
are saying that the pluffle, you know, you know, you
say goodbye to stress and anxiety when you get in
this thing, it kind of just feels like a big warm.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Hug, like a cocoon, right, That's what it looks like.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
To me, as I would describe it, big warm hug.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
I would love to give some of these things away, honestly.
I mean I want one for us, but I'd love
to give one away too. But like, yeah, I guess
they're like around one hundred and fifty bucks, but down
to one twenty nine for Prime days. If anyone gets
one of these things, give us a review please, Yeah, like.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Let us know if the money is worth it. Plus,
you know, I.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Think with it going on sale for Prime Day, it's
probably gonna be one of those adult gifts that's gonna
be very high in demand.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
For the holidays.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
I mean, who wouldn't want just a big, giant hug
all year round?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
I agree, I agree.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Speaking of things that are deeply discounted almost I would
say completely.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
In fact, they are free.
Speaker 4 (17:42):

for being honest.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Listen, I am not putting you on the spot, but
like you're you're kind of a chicken when it comes to.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
This stuff, I really am.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
I am.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
It's like I love it. I love a good.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
I love a good haunted house, but I hate being scared.
It's like a very weird conundrum that I live.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
In every night.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Oh my gosh, well listen, this one would be like
the most epic of scares.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
It really will. These tickets are crazy cool.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
You get a four pack of tickets if you sign
up with the website and listen for your name to
get called out.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
And who are looking for right now?
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Well, right now, we're looking for Jennifer Lungren. That's Jennifer Lungren.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
And you were on the clock, and you have ten
minutes to call us back to claim your prize. Seven
O two seven nine six one oh six five Again
seven O two seven nine six one oh six five.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Jennifer Lungren, you are on.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
The clock now.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Speaking of winners, just want to reflect, we had like
a really great time on Saturday hosting a bunch of
winners at the official release party of a Showgirl Taylor
Swift movie.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
This is insane to me. She broke records. She set
a record this weekend.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
She made thirty three million dollars at the box office,
topping the box office this weekend with that movie.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Taylor is single handedly saving movie theaters everywhere.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
You're not kidding.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
I mean, that's just astronomical. You don't it's kind of
sad too. You don't hear about those numbers these days
for a lot of movies anymore.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
You know. Well, it's such a unique concept for a movie, right,
and to get to hear the whole thing and see
the life of a show or or was it no
the fate of Aphelia music video before it came out
to the general public. And I think you appreciate the
album a lot more once you see her explain every
single song.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
She's so cool. She's such a genius.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
And listen, it's not just with her album or her movie,
it's with every single thing.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
That she does.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
She's just no and nobody could do this but her, Like,
there's no one that could pull this off. So she
sold two point seven million copies of the Life of
a Showgirl on the first day of release on Friday,
top of the box office over the weekend. And then
she's now in the same company as Prince. This is
pretty mind blowing. So when Purple Rain came out, Prince
(20:11):
was the first artist to have a film, an album,
and a single b number one at the same time. Wow,
And now Taylor is the second artist to ever do
that because the Fate of Ophelia is number one on
Billboard right now because everyone is listening to it.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
It's a great song too.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
That is so cool. She just has so much buzz.
I know, we talked about this yesterday with the orange
doors popping up all over the war and the buzz
around that. I mean, we got one right here in
Las Vegas at the Boulevard on the Strip, which is
really cool. And I love what I've been seeing on TikTok.
They are saying some of the little easter eggs that
she has in some of these like little teaser videos
that she released with those orange doors. One of them
(20:49):
I saw was really cool. There was like a window
and like walking by the window really quickly, it looked
like the Sphere in Las Vegas outside of the window. Yeah,
And people were teasing that like we may be getting
Taylor Swift at the Sphere and people are like so
into it.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Like someone was saying, like.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
It's gonna start May twenty twenty six. There's nothing on
the Spheres calendar the entire month of May. Like people
were like really like speculating that which I think is
kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
It is very fun that Las Vegas is one of
twelve cities in the world to get one of those doors.
And this sphere, for someone who's such a visually inclined
artist as her, has remarkable possibilities and capabilities.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
So, I mean, I can't even imagine what I've seen
The Backstreet Boys do. I mean Taylor Listen, no knock
to the backstory was, but Taylor's would be iconic, epic.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Oh my gosh, absolutely s six, the Jonas brothers, Nick, Kevin,
and Joe, and I think Kevin's name should be first.
They're going to be at MGM Grand Garden Arena on
November twenty ninth, and we got your chance to win

Speaker 2 (22:29):
He's so handsome and funny.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
I have, like I feel like, I like have like
a later in life crush on him. Like I wasn't
like into him when like they first came on the scene,
But nowadays when I see like like video of him
performing or just clips with him on TikTok, I'm like, like.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
He's not going on.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
He's a grown mature going on.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Yeah, all right, all right, all about Joe.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
Now, I know we have a sunny story of the
day to get to here as well.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Absolutely so.

will be put on display at Fashion Show.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
There's going to be.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
A scavenger hunt, raffles, all that good stuff. Plus what's
really cool too is there's going to be a motivational
exhibit that is going to be launching on next Tuesday,
October fourteenth.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
That's a display and.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and designed to create
positivity for those who have gone.

the first time.
