Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Sean.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Here I found a hack to help you stop spending
too much money and blowing your budget. Now I've gotten
my own hack, but I'm gonna tell you this one first.
I found it on TikTok. This guy's name is Kevin,
and he went viral for this. It's a spending hack.
Instead of buying stuff, he just records himself saying what
he wants.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
He names the thing like I don't know, nice sneakers
or new guitar or whatever, and then he posts the video.
And the idea is that if you say what you
want out loud in front of an audience, it kind
of kills the urge to follow through. There's a little embarrassment,
a little awareness of how unnecessary it is, and apparently
it works. It's a strange strategy, but it's oddly genius.
(00:40):
It works for him. Now what I do is, if
I want something, I keep it open in a browser
tab in my phone for like a week, and if
after a week I'm sick of looking at it, I
closed the tab. It means it was never meant to be.
That's just how I do it. I would love to
hear your methods. Let us know on Instagram at Sunnyboto
six y five l V Magic Naked Eyes coming up
(01:01):
next on Las Vegas's Best Variety of the eighties, nineties
and Today Sonny one of six point five.
Speaker 3 (01:06):

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Good morning, It's Sean. I always have a problem remembering
who sings that song. I want to say Simple Minds,
but no, it's Naked Eyes. And then there's Talking Heads.
The eighties were really big on body parts on your
head with a descriptor attached to them, like the Flaming Lips.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
That's more of a nineties band. But yeah, you get
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
We got Lifehouse, Savage Garden, Miles Smith, come out of Next.
Let's check out your morning traffic first.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Ed Sharon works really hard, you know how. Workaholics still
sometimes say you can sleep when you're dead, right, Ed
Sharon Taking that a little too literally, Ed revealed in
a recent interview that he has added a surprising request
to his will now keep in mind. Ed just released
recently a new album called Play, but in this interview,
(02:06):
Ed said he's already planning a posthumous album of an
album to be released after he dies. He said it's
already written in his will that his wife, Cherry Seaborn,
is going to choose the songs for the album, in
which will be called Eject. His new album is Play.
The posthumous album will be called Eject. He's got a
sounds of humor about it.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Now.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
He won't be the first artist to have music released
after they passed away, but unlike other projects that aren't
planned in advance, he wants to make sure that his
album Eject as a direction I find this. I don't
know why he is planning for something that hope, we
all hope won't happen for a very very long time,
but it is fascinating, nonetheless, the way his brain.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Works coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Harry Reid Airport was just named one of the best
airports in the country in a recent customer satisfaction survey
of over thirty thousand travelers in the country. It's your
sunny story of the day today now JD Power. And
in my forty years, I have never figured out what
JD Power does outside of rank things and do studies.
But in this study, they did survey about thirty thousand
(04:45):
travelers who went through airports last year.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
In a number of different areas.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
They asked them about ease of travel, level of trust
to terminal facilities, airport staff, departure experiences, food beverage, retail.
If it is related to airport experiences, they asked people
about it and Harry Reid falls into a category of
airport called a mega airport, meaning they handle at least
thirty three million passengers per year and if all the
(05:12):
mega airports in the country, Harry Reid came in fifth
in customers satisfaction amazing and it trailed only Minneapolis Saint Paul,
which was number one, and then Detroit, Phoenix and Dallas
Fort Worth with Harry Reid sliding into that number five position.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Love it. I don't really have a bad experience it's
Harry Reid.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Outside of I will say there have been some really
long wait time to get your baggage baggage claim. And
I heard they've added a DJ to the ride share
area as part of their fabulous Las Vegas campaign by
the Convention and Visitors Authority, and that's had some mixed reviews,
but nonetheless happy with that five spot. It's your Sunny
story of the day. You can find it at Sunny
(05:52):
one at six five dot com. Just click on Sunday mornings.
We've got Miley Cyrus, def Leppard and Justin.
Speaker 1 (05:58):

point side.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
It is Sunny Window six point five. You know, prices
for a lot of things have gone up. We're having
the tip in more and more places. There's more fees
or service fees, have service fees. But I have yet
to see this come to America yet.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
My name is Sean.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
In some public bathrooms in China, getting toilet paper now
it comes with a catch. You either have to watch
an ad or pay a small fee. There's a QR
code on the dispenser and it triggers a short commercial
to play, after which a small amount of toilet paper
is released. They say it's meant to curb waste. I
think it's meant to keep you from ever using a
(06:40):
public bathroom ever again, because I would refuse. I would
sooner become a sherpa and carry a mountain of TP
on my back as I transgress through the.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
City transverse Traverse traverse.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
I don't know which word I'm supposed to use there,
but the point is charging for small amounts of toilet
paper is absurd. I hope that never happens here, although
I also would not be the least bit surprised. Go
to a restaurant. There's a little fee at the bottom
of the bill that says tpfee.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
How many fees will there be?
Speaker 2 (07:13):

out to the strip or something, have your fun, go

than that.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I have no idea what JD Power does other than
rank things, but Harry Reid International Airport here in town
just got some very lofty honors from JD Power. They
were ranking all of the airports in a national Airport
Satisfaction Study, and there were about thirty thousand travelers that
participated in this, and they asked them about ease of travel,
(12:28):
level of trust, terminal facilities, airports, staff, departure experiences, food, beverage, retail,
you name it.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
If it's at an airport.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
These travelers were asked about it, and Harry Reid fits
into a category of airport called a mega airport, meaning
they handle at least thirty three million passengers per year,
and of all the mega airports in the country, Harry
Reid ranked fifth in that consumer satisfaction index, and they
trailed LS here. Number one was Minneapolis Saint Paul, number two,
(12:58):
Detroit three, Phoenix four, Dallas Fort Worth, and Harry Reid
coming into that five spot. Nice to see I have
good experiences at Harry Reid. I will say the baggage
claim can sometimes be a little bit of a hairy situation,
so to speak. But still nice to see getting some
kudos for Harry Reid on a national scale. Coming up
(13:19):
Adele and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and more of
Las Vegas' best variety the eighties, nineties and today Sonny
