Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sunny one O six point five, Las Vegas' best variety
of the eighties nineties, and today it's Sean. I gotta
tell you, I was just incredulous when I found out
that Harry Styles ran a marathon in under three hours.
That is right, the former one directioner English superstar. He
ran the Berlin Marathon in under three hours. Now he

(00:22):
used a fake name, of course, stead Surroundos. I don't
know where that name came from, but he did it
in under He did it in two hours, fifty nine
minutes and thirteen seconds on what is considered a fast
marathon track. Now. His participation was confirmed by organizers as
he was seen training in Berlin prior to the event. Now,

(00:42):
he was pictured at the finish line with Paralympic gold
medalist Richard Whitehead, who is aiming to run twenty marathons
this year. I would be impressed if I could run
a half marathon. My wife is training for one right now.
She's my absolute hero. I don't think I could do
more than a couple of laps on a standard track

(01:02):
without immediately collapsing to the ground. But my head is
off to Harry Styles. He's got my respect. We got
her maroon five prints and pink coming up on Sunny
one A six point five Good morning six months. If
you take advantage of any of these deals in this
fabulous five day sale that we're hearing about all over

(01:25):
the city, I would love to know what they are.
Sunny one at six point five, I'm sean. The Miracle
Mile Shops are offering Nevada Residence an exclusive fall discount
to enjoy the best of Las Vegas. Now through October thirtieth,
locals can receive a twenty five percent discount at select
restaurants and complimentary self parking every Sunday through Thursday now.

(01:48):
To redeem this, guests have to present a valid Nevada idea.
I think that makes sense, and for complimentary self parking
visitors who to go to the valet office on the
first level of the parking garage to receive a validation sticker. Look,
I think the vast majority of what we want is
just free parking right, get rid of resort fees and
offer discounts every day of the year if you're local. Frankly,

(02:10):
I think that's what's missing around town. But hopefully Miracle
Miles Shops sticks with this for longer than just through
October thirtieth. That would be nice. Find Young Cannibals and
Katie Perry on the way next on Sunny This is
Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny one six
point five. Big night tonight for our Las Vegas Aces

(02:31):
and our unanimous MVP, Asia Wilson. I love saying that
unanimous amazing four time MVP. Now, by the way, first
player ever to win four MVPs in five years. Now,
let me get that out of the way. Tonight six
thirty at Mandalay Bay, Bigelob Ultra Arena. Our Aces are

(02:51):
taken on the Indiana Fever in Game two of their
second round playoff series against the Indiana Fever. Now, unfortunately
on Sunday night we dropped the first game. Doesn't feel
too good, but a chance to make that up tonight.
Get out to make a little Ultra arena, make some noise,
Cheer on our Aces and our MVP Asia Wilson to
come back win Game two, turn those tides before we

(03:12):
get a head out to Indiana for Game three. No
one likes losing and we run an absolute tear at
the end of the season. I think the Aces can
still win this entire championship. We got to get out
there and make some noise for him. Tonight, Sonny went
to six point five. We got Benson Boone and Sink
and Adele on the way next with more of Las
Vegas's best variety of the eighties, nineties and today Sunny
Windows six point five, Sunny one O six point side.

(03:38):
I'm Sean. One of the things I love about living
here in the Silver State is our access to state
and natural parks, all the natural beauty around here. And
Saturday is National Public Lands Day, and in honor of that,
all of the Nevada State parks are going to be
offering free admission. So this is a great time to

(03:58):
get out and explore everything that our parks have to
offer since you're not paying for entry. I know in Caliente,
at Kershaw Ryan State Park they're going to be hosting
a family friendly art program inspired by the Pike's canyon
walls and gardens. And at ice Age Fossil State Park
here in town, they will be hosting programs throughout the

(04:18):
weekend to highlight their unique paleonto logical can't believe it
has nailed that word Treasures and desert ecosystem. And don't
forget about Spring Mountain Ranch. One of my favorite places
to go here in town, the old Las Vegas Mormon four.
There are so many options for you to take advantage
of this Saturday thanks to National Public Lands Day. We'll

(04:41):
put a list of things to do in places to
go over at sunny Windo six five dot com. Just
click on Sunny Mornings and that is your Sunny story
of the day. Hozier, Don Henley, and Kelly Clarkson coming
up next on Sunny Window six point five. This is
Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny one oh
six point five. Saturday night at our iHeart Radio Music Festival,

(05:02):
in my book, goes down as one of the greatest
nights of music in iHeartRadio Music Festival history. It's sunny
but at six point five. I'm Sean Maroon five. They
just brought so much fun with them this And do

(05:34):
I do I really have to mention Mariah Carey because
she was iconic night talk to you and do I

(05:57):
have to mention Ed Sheeran? Do I really have to
do it? I'm in love with the sheet body. We
put him pull like a Magntu. Although my hearts fall
into the sancho in my room and my bit sheep
smell like you. They need discovering some body. I mean,

(06:21):
I don't even have time right now to get into
the offspring and Tim McGraw and John Fogerty. But Saturday
Night was absolutely iconic. If you missed the show or
just want to relive it, you'll be able to watch
it on Hulu starting on October second. Our iHeart Rating
Music Festival presented by Capitol One coming up Backstreet Boys, fun,

(06:42):
Eric Carmon and another chance to get a fourth back
of tickets to knats Berry Farm on the way at
seven forty say Barbo six, Let's get your family out
to knats Berry Farm for spooky season, not scary farm,
of course. Now, I I don't know about you. I
get anxiety just heading to the mailbox. I never like

(07:03):
what's waiting for me in there. I feel the same
way about the last four minutes waiting to say this name,
because I have not been looking forward to saying his name,
because I'm afraid I'm gonna get it wrong here very badly. Anyway,
up for grabs a four pack of tickets to knats
Very Farm, the longest running Halloween themed park in all
of California. When it flips to NAT's Scary Farm, thousands

(07:25):
of spooky creatures running around, haunted mazes and more. And
right now I'm looking for Leanna Duke duck Sick, Duke Sock,
Duke Shock. I don't know, I don't know how to
say this name, Leanna duck Sick. I'm gonna leave it
at that and hope that's even close to right. Seven

(07:46):
oh two, seven nine to six, one oh six five.
You got ten minutes to call back Leanna and claim
your tickets. Seven oh two seven nine six, one oh
six five, Leanna duck Sick. We'll go with that. We'll
call another name out at eight forty we got Lady Gaga, Bruno, Mars, Madonna,
and three Doors Down. Next on Sunny Wake Up with Sunny,

(08:07):
Mornings with Joanna and Sean. On Sunny one was six
point five. It is Sunny one of six point five.
My name is Sean. Jimmy Kimmel will return to ABC
tonight after a week long suspension. A spokesperson for ABC
said last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production
on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation
at an emotional moment for our country. We spent the

(08:29):
last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations,
we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.
Worth noting that there are widespread reports on the internet
that Disney lost around four billion dollars in value since
Jimmy was suspended due to boycott's and stock value dipping.
The suspension began after FCC chair Brendan Carr threatened ABC's

(08:51):
affiliate license, and several broadcast groups said that they would
pre empt the show or simply play something else instead.
Now Kimmel will not be turning to all markets tonight,
there are still around thirty plus local ABC affiliates that
say they will not be playing Kimmel's show tonight. Regardless,
it will be interesting to see how many people tune

(09:11):
in and what he has to say after the last week.
Sney one six point You know what feels like the
NFL is falling in love with Vegas a little bit,
at least as far as hosting his Super Bowl is concerned.
Sunny One was six point five. I'm sean the city
and the Raiders have submitted a letter of intent to

(09:32):
host the super Bowl again in twenty twenty nine, twenty
thirty or twenty thirty one. Think back to twenty twenty four.
What a great success that was. The super Bowl attracted
around a billion dollars in consumer spending. We hosted around
three hundred and thirty thousand visitors here in town, and
we saw a record hotel occupancy. The city has really

(09:53):
just proven its ability to host large scale events like
the super Bowl. An Allegiance Stadium has all the top
of the line technology, all the bells and whistles to
make a game like that memorable. So typically, the NFL
awards the Super Bowl around four years in advance, which
puts us in the running for Super Bowl sixty three

(10:13):
in twenty twenty nine. I would love for it to
be here again, just so I can have a chance
to go. I did not get a chance to go
in twenty twenty four. Super fun though, love the energy
it brought to our city. We'll keep it posted as
that moves along. We got Shabouzi, Billy Idol, and oh yeah,
Ed Sharon tickets. You're a chance to see him at

(10:34):
Allegiant Stadium coming up at nine to forty right here
on Sunny Wake Up with Sunny Mornings with Joanna and
John On Sonny one oh six point five, You're not
going to have to spend any money. Money. Is that
even what the song's about? Is it about money or
is it about a woman named money? I literally don't know.
I don't think I've ever listened to the lyrics of
that song. But Ed Sharon is going to be an

(10:56):
Allegiant stadium next July. We're playing talk back for TI tickets.
