Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sunny one. It was six point five. Good morning, gets Sean. Now,
what would you do for a million dollars? Turns out
a lot of people you know would probably do some
pretty iffy stuff. A new question asked that question, what
would you do for a million dollars? And a lot
of us are apparently willing to go to extremes for
that kind of money. Half of us said we'd be
willing to disappear and start a new life. Must be
(00:22):
nice to have nothing tethering you to society that you
would willingly take the million dollars and completely disappear. Now,
just as many people said that they would ditch all
devices and go off grid, I might consider doing that
for free.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I don't think I even need the money.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
If I was given a chance to do that and
just make the money I've gotten now, I'd probably do it.
Many people said they would marry someone they didn't love
for a million dollars, or take an unethical job to
get a million dollars. There is probably a lot of
people out there doing unethical jobs for a million dollars.
Now there is some positive news. Nearly everyone said they
would give some of it to charity or some worthy cause.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
So there's your silver lining.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
They will take an unethical job or marry someone they
don't love for the million dollars, but at least some
of it is going to go back to a worthy cause.
We caught Seal and Lord on the way and coming

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Think about your favorite teacher you had to growing up.
I think we all had a favorite teacher right, one
that just stuck with us, made an impact on our
lives and with iheartradios.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Thank a teacher. You can do just that.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
You can thank them and nominate them to win five
thousand dollars from donors choose for their classroom. A few
weeks ago, we had a winner named Biata Karschevsky right
here in the valley.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
She won five grand.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
And I want to tell you all about our next
nominee here, Christina Brooks. She is our featured nominee from
Stanford Elm Entry School. This week noinee. Her nomination reads.
This teacher gives her all to her students. She helps
her struggling students while challenging the gifted students as well.
She does treasure Box every week and plays fun review
games to get her students to love learning. She makes
(02:15):
her students feel safe in their classroom and their home
away from home. She's an incredible teacher who just wants
to see her students excel. Let's say, beautiful nomination. If
there's a teacher you would like to put up to
win five thousand dollars of donors shoes, you can submit
them right now at Sunnywindow six five dot com. Slash

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Allegiant Stadium might be changing the way Vegas votes. It's
Sunny Windows six point five sean here now. Since Allegiant
Stadium opened, it has become a go to polling place.
It draws thousands of people thanks to its easy access.
You know there's a cool factor there as well, I think,
and officials say it is helping boost turnout and modernize
(03:08):
the voting experience. There's a new study by Harvard's Ash
Center and it says that Allegiance Stadium is a winning
model for election day voting.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Now.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
In twenty twenty four, more than forty two hundred voters
cast their ballots at Allegiant, and if you break it down,
thirty five percent of them were voting for the very
first time, compared to twenty percent at other locations. And
it drew a lot of younger people who didn't often vote,
and very good distribution of parties. Thirty six percent of
(03:40):
the voters were unaffiliated with a party, and then Democrats
and Republicans both turned out in strong numbers as well.
Researchers said this balance proved the event had no partisan tilt. Now,
the raiders covered the fifty thousand dollars cost using a
small NFL grant for support, and there was no cost
at all to taxpayers, which is great. So maybe this
(04:01):
should become a regular election day tradition if it worked
out that well. We got Mariah Carry, one of our
iHeart Radio Music Festival artists, on the way next to
Miley Cyrus, Belinda Carlisle and more variety on sunny Win.

We are big supporters of a fan that is Aid
for AIDS of Nevada. Joanna and I have actually hosted
their annual AIDS Walk five k at Las Vegas Ballpark
and normally we will make it appearance, you know, be
on site to support their annual Black and White Party,
that is the big gala they do their their Crown Jewel,
the party they owsed every year at Chaos Nightclub inside
(04:43):
Palms Casino Resort. And unfortunately we could not be there
this time around because the Iheard Radio Music Festival was
happening on the same weekend. But we supported as much
as we could on air and on social media, and
I was so happy to see that they raised over
one hundred and sixty thousand dollar to support services for
individuals living with and affected by HIV AIDS in Southern
(05:05):
Nevada at this year's Black and White Party.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Huge accomplishment.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
So happy those parties that they host, they're black and
white parties just iconic, legendary and if you have not
followed them on Instagram social media to see what there reupto,
you can do that at AFAN, lv, AFA and LV AND.
I'm sure they'd be happy to take donations year round.
But they're a wonderful organization doing great work in our
city and our community, and we are happy to support
(05:31):
them and happy to report that they were able to
raise that much money this year at the Black and
White Party. We'll put everything you need to know over
at Sunny Winter sixty five dot com just click on

San Jose Sharks. Moving on, I feel like I'm a
Stulling sports center here all of a sudden, but our

Indiana Fever last night tie that series up one to
(06:13):

And hour Aviators are in the Pacific Coast League Championship
Series right now against the Tacoma Raniers, and they won

It was six point five, Good morning against Sean. Jimmy Kimmel,
who has been off the air for a week now,
returned to the show last night and started the show
with some laughs.
Speaker 6 (08:09):
If you're just joining us, we are preempting your regularly
scheduled encore episode of Celebrity Family Feud to bring in
this special report. I'm happy to be here tonight with you.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
He had a warm reception from those in studio with him,
but he did go on to talk about what he
thought was important about last night.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
This show is not important.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
What is important is that we get to live in
a country that allows us to have a show like this.
I've had the opportunity to meet and spend time with
comedians and talk show hosts from countries like Russia, countries
in the Middle East who told me they would get
(08:51):
thrown in prison for making fun of those in power.
And worse than being thrown in prison, they know how
lucky we are here. Our freedom to speak is what
they admire most about this country.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
So last night's monologue got around well. At this point,
has over nine million views on YouTube. On average, one
of Jimmy's videos on YouTube gets around two hundred and
forty thousand views, So it's too early to know what
the ratings for last night were yet, but the indicators
from YouTube are pretty strong.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
We'll see if he sustains them.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
We've got Desiree twenty one pilots and an hour of
commercial for music coming up at eight thirty five, and
we'll play some more audio from Jimmy's show last night.

Sonny one oh six point five Now.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel returned to his show after being
off air for a week. There are reports all over
that the reason he came back, or at least in part,
was that Disney had lost close to four billion dollars
in the week he was off air through plummeting stock
prices cancelations in Disney Plus and Hulu. He opened the
show saying that there was a condition for his return.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Disney has asked me to read the following statement, and
I agreed to do it.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Here we go.

City Aviators Aces Golden Knights, all with home games. Now
our Aces in the semi finals of the WNBA Playoffs
right now against Indiana Fever one in convincing fashion. Last night,
Asia Wilson had twenty five points, went full beast mode.
They tied that series one to one, and Game three
(11:02):
gonna be on Friday. Aviators also very much in the
semi finals. It is the Pacific Coast League Championships right now.
If they win this series against the Tacoma Rainiers, they
go on to the National Championship Series or I should
say game on Saturday at Las Vegas Ballpark and they
won last night seven to one in their first playoff game.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Looking good there.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Unfortunately, are Golden Knights not quite having the same success.
They lost their home opener last night three to one
at the Fortress against La bringing them to zero to
two on the season after losing their first game of
the season on the road against San Jose. Studybout a
six point five coming up at nine forty or so.
