Geena Davis won her first Academy Award for her role as Muriel Pritchett in “The Accidental Tourist” and received a second Oscar in 2019 in recognition of her work for achieving gender parity onscreen. She got nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance in “Thelma & Louise”, and she earned a Golden Globe Award in 2006 for her portrayal as the first female President of the U.S. in ABC’s hit show “Commander in Chief”. Geena’s other film credits include “The Fly”, “Beetlejuice”, “The Long Kiss Goodnight”, “Stuart Little”, “A League of Their Own”, and “Tootsie”. She serves as the Chair of the Bentonville Film Festival, championing women and diverse voices in film and all media.
