(00:01):
We just missed all that gold becauseI wasn't recording, never gonna get that
it was gold. Sorry, listener, you missed out on what was just
terrific radio. It was podcasting.I guess you don't say radio, right,
No you don't. But that's theright same thing because we do both.
Um. So to start off beforewe get into this week, let's

(00:21):
just talk about last weekend and whathappened there. And I've got a couple
of questions that I'm going to askyou right off the bat. Sure level
where do you want to start?Yeah, level of happiness for Wyndham Clark
on a scale of one to ten. Well, you know, does the
listener may not know this. Ihave a deep kind of hatred for Wyndham

(00:43):
Clark. You can say, well, why why do you want? What's
wrong with Wyndham Clark? He's Oklahomastate Oregon guy. What do you don't
like his retweeting of the of theriots in January sixth? No, it's
not that, Oh, none ofthat. Yeah, he's one of those
guys. Hey, that's not whatthis is about. No, it's not.
This is about golf. This isabout golf. He uh, the

(01:07):
week before he won the Wells Fargo. So the tournament was that was May
fourth through the seventh. Oh thetournament, Yeah, Mexico Open. Oh
at Dunta, Okay at Dunta.Yeah. The previous few weeks he's been
on he was on a heater. He was playing really good golf. Yeah,

(01:29):
just an idea of Valves Barif five, Corales, Puntacana sixth, Terrick
third. Yeah, he was.He was playing really well. And he
gets to I'm thinking, all right, this is great. We you know
he's I'm gonna take him at aperfect times. He's just bound to win.
He's gonna win. Yeah. Itake him at the at the Vendunta

(01:53):
and he craps about. He tiesfor twenty fifth. He's terrible. The
next week he wins the Wells Fargo. Yeah, and I just like,
f you, buddy. I mean, it could have been you could have
been worse. You could have takenhim at the PGA Championship and he would
have missed the cut. That's true, but it wasn't. I mean,
what was he trending before the pgWow? I guess he had won the

(02:15):
Wells Fargo Byron Yeah, I don'tknow. I just I felt really time
smart about taking him at Vendunta.Yeah, and I think I had him
like all by myself too. Iwas solo, which would have been a
big pay day. And then hejust craps the beat. It's not like
it's not like he It would beone thing if okay, he got top
five or top ten, but hewas twenty fifth. He was terrible.

(02:37):
He had not been terrible in anyother tournament. And I don't think he's
well other than PGA really bad afterthat season, right, And so I
just I don't like his name.I don't like where he grew up.
He's a spoiled country club rat.Okay, well, if that's so I
feel about him. Well, justto let you know a little bit more

(02:57):
about Wyndham Clark, he has wonten million dollars this golf asians. Seven
point two of that has happened sinceMay seventh. Yeah, I mean he
winning because well, well far goesand elevated. Yeah yeah, seven point
pretty good season there for a WyndhamClark. It's not about a month and
a half of work. And Ilike, now on a serious note,

(03:20):
I mean I like his emotion. He plays with a good fire to him,
you know, I like that heshows emotion, you know. I
like that he talked about his angerissues. Everybody can relate to anger issues,
especially I think on the on thegolf course. I mean, because
it is it's immensely frustrating. TheI really like the fact it's weird.
But I think a lot of golfersespecially, I think a lot of athletes,

(03:44):
but a lot of golfers just havetoo many voices in their head,
a lot of Yeah, there's abig mental aspect to it, right well,
and it's just like your trainer andthen your psychologist, and they have
a putting coach. Then they've gota you know, a thought coach or
you know, mental coach. Thenthey have a swing coach, and then
they're taking video and they're trying allthat stuff. He doesn't have a he

(04:05):
doesn't have a swing coach. Hedoesn't have a coach. Here's no coach
nothing. Don't have a punning coach. He's got a mental coach. That
a woman that he that he talksto. But other than that, it's
just as Caddy, well that's Caddykind of he lines him up, tells
him, all right, well Ithink you're just a little off, and

(04:25):
where he goes and he credits thathe made the change where he just I
don't need a coach anymore, whereit just kind of freed him up and
he got back to swinging the ballnaturally. And I just think these guys,
they're all such great golfers, allof them, and I think inherently,
I think sometimes they get in theirway too much a lot of times,
like oh what am I doing here? And changing this and and trying
to become that perfect golf swing whenI just, you know, golf is

(04:46):
it's too hard to be perfect.I don't know. I think to his
approach to it is pretty refreshing.Okay, well I appreciate that. I
mean I still hate him, rightobviously, I mean a hate him.
Window. What the hell kind ofname is that? Anyway? Window?
I mean, it is one ofthose names that definitely like there's no doubt

(05:06):
he came from money. Oh yeah, he grew up in country. Yeah,
he's a country club kid. Yeah. But there's like certain names that
you can give your child. He'sa duck. Yeah, that part kind
of Broncos fan in a Broncos fan. Yeah, See, we all have
our flaws. He can hit agolf ball, though he sure can.

(05:28):
It was interesting to look at someof the people that we would have expected
good things from last week, andwe talked about like Jordan Spieth and his
creativity missed the I mean that wasshocking. The creativity was getting his ass
out of town. Yeah, exactly. M kepka, what happened there?
Not even in the top twenty. What I don't even know where he finished?

(05:49):
Yeah, weird, I don't.I think maybe looking back on I
mean, that's who I tugged that, paying a little bit more tension probably
to them, describe that the perfectgolfer for this place was gonna be someone
that hits a natural draw, youknow, so right to left. Yeah,

(06:10):
that's where Rory was a popular pickthere. Clark to a degree and
kept because that's not his shot shape. Now it's not like he can't do
it. They all could do it, but he is a natural power fade
of the golf ball, and Idon't know if that factory. He for
the first time allowed a course toreally bother him and it got in his

(06:31):
head and then he talked I thinkI can't remember if it's after the second
round or third round. Well, you know, he just he cursed the
course out and just called it garbageand didn't like it. It's funny because
I can't remember on Twitter said yourelayed his comments to people complaining. I
think about Shinnecock from a few yearsprior about how hard it was and difficult

(06:54):
and they didn't like it and thesetup, and he took issue with those
golfers, you know, saying justtoughen up, right, you know,
just deal with it. And nowhe's doing the same thing and complaining about
It's funny because we've talked a lotabout Kepco on this show. Yeah,
and in the beginning when he wason his run, early in his scrip,

(07:15):
I didn't like him because of thisattitude is he didn't really care about
golf and you know, all Icare about was the majors and yeah,
I could have been a baseball playertype of attitude, and I didn't like
him for that and I kind ofjust thought he was cocky and just arrogant.
And then I watched the you know, then the Full Swing episode comes
out and kind of changed my opinionhim. I've gone back to hating him
after that. Now, Oh no, he's because I and I thought to

(07:38):
myself, the real Keepka is back. Yeah, he's back because he won.
He won the PGA and now thatthe able's coming out again. Well,
and it's just surprising too. Likeyou might you might not love a
golf course, that might not beyour favorite, but to call it garbage
or hate it or put it downjust because you don't play well there,
like you're just making yourself look bad. You're not making the golf course look

(07:58):
bad. Right, if he playedwell, he had a been No,
it's it's it's terrific and all thatI thought it would. I'll say this
about the course. I don't knowwhat your thoughts on it were, but
I thought it was a little unfairlycriticized of by especially the pros are by
the professional analysts, especially after thefirst day. I thought it looked great

(08:22):
on TV. Yeah, I thoughtit just looked beautiful and they all did
acknowledge, Hey, this would bea you know, it's a great course
for the members, and I thinkthat the public that that would play it,
and it did. It looked reallycool to me. I liked the
visuals of that place were stunning tome. Now, could they have made

(08:45):
it harder? I mean, Iguess so. But if you take away
the first round. Yeah, theydidn't do anything. Yeah, the first
day they didn't do anything minus eightand the winning score was minus ten.
So I mean, I mean it, I think sometimes it don't give minus
I do that, but I dothat. Yeah, I just think that

(09:05):
sometimes we don't. We just don'tgive enough credit to these players just how
good they are, right, that'sthe thing, and it's just phenomenal.
The course did a great job offiguring it out. I mean, with
the exception of Tommy Fleetwood on Sunday. Yeah, yeah, he had a
phenomenal amound. He played out ofhis mind. But but there's always been

(09:28):
a job of recovering after And theysaid the weather didn't help. It was
supposed to be dryer, it wassupposed to be more difficult, and it
and the rain had softened things up. And if it had been where it
was kind of on on Saturday, yeah, and Sunday to a degree.
Now, had it been like thatall week long, then it would have

(09:50):
been five under. Yeah, thatwould have been the winning score because those
balls. I mean, I wouldsay the one credit either one fair maybe
fair criticism of it would be,oh, would be that the fairways were
too wide. If they could havemanaged to shrink the fairway size, then

(10:11):
I think it would have been morepenal than if they go off and into
that stuff, because once they gotinto that, it was your toast.
That rough was was ridiculous, Likepoor Ricky on Sunday just kept landing in
it and the wall was disappearing.Yeah, I mean that would be maybe
my only thing. I just lookback. I would just say this.

(10:31):
I look back to the shot thatClark hit on eighteen, the t shot
way offline. I don't think heshould be should have been rewarded. He
should have been punished for that rightand he wasn't punished for it. And
I just think in the final holeof the US Open, you're that far
right, you shouldn't be okay becausethe fairways are that why I say that.

(10:54):
Then I feel bad because I lovethe US Open at Chambers Bay and
they had wide fairways, but youknow what, it was so dry there
that if you were offline, thatball was just going to roll into the
into the waist area. And theyjust didn't have those, you know,
same time, the same type ofconditions there that they did Chambers Bay.
But I was going to finish thelong Winter Point. You know, the

(11:16):
final score at um at Chambers Baywas five hundred for speed to go back,
and that day it's cam Smith andLouis they fire. Oh, I
want to say, it's like sixtythree kind of what Fleetwood did. And
so it's I think it's just they'rethey're really good, yes, and sometimes
they get the course and if you'reon that day, like you can do

(11:37):
some amazing things. Like let's justbe honest, it was I do have
a question what has happened to JohnRomm, Like he is either right there
in contention or you don't see himon Saturday and Sunday. I can't say
a good question. I just thecourse didn't sit well with or didn't you
know, work in his favor. But I was shocked. I mean,

(12:00):
I just don't understand. I don'tknow. I'm just trying to think he
seems to be more of a ofa fader of the ball. I don't
know, I don't know where he'sbeen and he experienced this course. Yeah,
I don't know. It was aweek. You know what it was
weird about Ash is that there werejust some players that it just suited them.
There was a real like either youwere really good or really really bad.

(12:24):
There was not this like middle areaof it. So it was and
it was just kind of odd.It was. It was odd to see.
I mean, but I don't know, I don't know what the rhyme
or reason is it with him.Yeah, I just think think the only
other thing of the of the justthe of the day, excuse me,
of the day of the tournament wasjust the lack of buzz. Everyone said

(12:45):
the same thing. It just itjust did not have the US Open vibe
and the noise any of it.Because the US Opens always liked the Ryder
Cup. Yeah, exactly, Iagree, And it was it looked like
we were watching practice rounds on rightdayand Friday. And what did you think
about them having the delay when theylet all of the fans come up around

(13:09):
eighteen like before Clark? I mean, I liked it because they didn't have
any fans there. I mean, there was no there was just no one
there, so they had to theyhad to make it look as if there
was a bunch of people there. And that's but that I feel like is
a big that if I'm Wyndham Clark, I don't want more time that I

(13:31):
have to wait, Yeah, theseputs to try to win my first major
while I wait for the fans tocome up that you already screwed up in
the first place, and because they'renot there. Yeah, A fair point,
fair point, and especially coming offyou know, the previous day where
I definitely see what you're saying withwith Wyndham Clark. You're coming off the
previous day where where Clark was upset, and I think rightfully so that they

(13:56):
started so late. Yeah, itwas Saturday off at three thirty. I
mean that is I mean, Ilove when these tournaments are on the West
Coast. I love when these tournamentsare on the West Coast because I just
for us it's better, yeah, and do your stuff and then you're just
watching golf into the night and Ithink it's beautiful kind of the sunset and

(14:16):
you know, the twilight and allthat. That was way too late.
That just was they shouldn't have beenplaying the final two holes where no,
because you know, you play, you know what it's like that it's hard
to see the ball. And nowimagine when when you're those players and you're
you know, your careers on theline, all that kind of stuff and

(14:39):
just in terms of legacy, andyou're trying to hit shots and get the
US open on the line, andyou're you know, hitting the ball in
darkness. Well, and I can'tremember what they did for tea times when
it was at Chambers Bay. Butthe other difference there is that we still
are lighter later because we're fur soto be in LA and that far south
and then have it that late wassurprising. Yeah, I don't remember it

(15:01):
ever ever being that that late. But I just think it was a poor
job, you know, Whoever's decisionin terms of the fans and the USGA,
like you just you can't have whatever. The allotment was like twenty thousand
tickets, which was low. Yeah, I think one of the lowest they

(15:22):
ever did. It's half in thecrowd that they usually would have at a
us Yeah. And then they andthen as the story goes, it's the
club members bought up like all ofthem. Yeah, all of the tickets,
thirteen thousand of them or twelve thousandof them were hospitality so that's right,
people and the fancy stuff, andthen they bought the other rest of

(15:43):
them. And then there was likea couple of thousand, like two three
that were left for the public, and I was reading this one article they
were just saying that it they justdidn't want people there. Well, because
it's just such a stuck up clubthat they just didn't want like you,
me and Tom Dick and Harry there, So then they shouldn't be rewarded with
another one, which they've already beenrewarded. They've already twenty thirty nine.

(16:07):
It's you can say what you wantabout Chambers Bay, and there certainly was,
you know that week some comparisons toit, Yeah, but one and
I get the issues, and I'mI'm not the person to talk to you
about viewing areas. I mean Ihad a media past that week. Yeah,
we could go areas that other peoplecouldn't go, So I'm coming from
a different perspect You were in awine tent, Yeah, well that's in

(16:33):
the hard alcohol tent. Shobe andhis friends were in the wine tent next
door and forth. Yeah, Iworked out Okay, they you know,
they made so it's a hard courseto walk, Yeah, okay, Chambers
Bay, and it's there's nothing theycan ever do to really make up for
maybe how hard it's to want.I do know they've made improvements to kind
of those mounds are in between theholes in fair ways, there's at least

(16:56):
a place to stand to watch standit and not so steep and things like
that. Yeah, because that wasthe problem that grass, because we did
walk around on the yeah, andthat was slippery, right, And so
they've made improvements there. I mean, there's just going to be certain holes
that you're not going to be ableto get to, you know. I
think of um, let's see seven, eight. You know, eight's just

(17:17):
you know, never gonna be ahole if people are eights, the just
it goes what is that a northsouth before you get to nine? If
you're gonna play nine on the topthere, it's just you can't get up
there. There's just nowhere to go. It's but that's one hole, right.
But um but in terms of thefan interaction, how much money that
was spent there, it was aterrific finish. I mean, you had

(17:40):
one of the best finishes in USOpen history. Yeah, And I just
I would like to know, Iwould love, you know, someone at
the USCH just to answer it.What what do they need to do?
Like what what's the deal? Like? What and what is it that LACC
has done already to be rewarded.Another one. I have to let my
dog out of this room because hekeeps farting. Okay, farting, you

(18:04):
need help? Yeah, you're stinking. Okay, bye, that is one
of the all time I've got tolet my dog out. Can we include
that? Oh yeah, I'm nottaking it out. Yeah, you had

(18:26):
to let your dog out because hewas farting too much? He or she
he Bunker Bunker, that's right,Bunker farting too much. Name it after
Andy, Bunker. Just a golfbunker, Just a golf bunker. Yeah,
well I think you should just nameit after and Bunker. Shout out
to Andy, Bunker, shout outto Andy. I don't understand, is

(18:48):
like, what is it that we'rerewarding LACC with two of them? And
Chambers Bay can't even get an answeron listen. There was there was one
issue with the golf course one andthey have fixed that. They have fixed
it. They have fixed the issueof the greens. The greens are spectacular,
and part of the problem was theunprecedented heat we'd have. Sure,

(19:11):
I mean, it's to do aboutthat. And that's a great point.
If you're going to criticize maybe thesetup of LA Country Club. Well they
were thinking heat. Yeah, itwould be hot and they would play fast
and this would play into the course, right right, Well, if you're
not going to completely kill them forthen why are you killing Chambers back?

(19:33):
No one would ever think at thistime of year in June that it would
be that record hotan it was supposedto be like today, I mean kind
of like today. And so ifit was like today in terms of the
course and there's some win, Imean it just it plays a whole lot
different. So yeah, I meanhold out hope and yeah maybe someday.

(19:55):
I just would like to know whatelse they have to do to appease of
the USGA. So I would loveto know that, And I think,
oh yeah, go ahead. Howabout the US Open, Yeah yeah,
okay. US Open questions, they'rejust okay, uh you you talked about
cam Smith and that he thought hewould do well because of comparisons to Australia
courses. So I it's not reallya question. I just wanted to say,

(20:18):
good work. Yeah, well, yeah, well done parting what other
people say, sure, well, hey just take credit for it. And
also, um, how bummed outfor Ricky Fowler. Were you Well,
I'll tell you what. I'll tellyou why I knew what he was gonna
lose. I'll tell you that.Yeah, okay, post round press conference
or interview with Steve Sands on Saturdaynight. I brought when I when I

(20:41):
watched that interview, I said,he's got no shot. He's doing an
interview. He's doing an interview withSteve Sands or not Steve Sands, Todd
Lewis Golf Channel, and uh,and you know, he's reflecting on his
career and he's you know what, all the struggles he's gone for the last
couple of years and all that, and he gave he was let's say,
he's Ricky's Ricky, and he's givena great answers, and he's authentic,

(21:04):
and he's a great ambassador for thesport and he's good with you know,
he signs autographs. He just getsit. He gets criticized with the commercials
and all that stuff. That's all. He's popular. People like him,
and he's won a bunch of bigtournaments. By the way, it's not
like he's one nothing right, andhe's he earned that popularity. He's got
a good person he's got a flair. He brings in fun to a sport

(21:25):
that's stuffy. Yeah, and so, but he gave it it. He
was talking about just what he's gonethrough the last few years, and you
know, his golf game is reallydropped off. And in part of this
kind of reflective answer, he said, I have learned to accept losing.
And when he gave that answer,I said, he's done. Here's just

(21:47):
there's just no way. I mean, doesn't have that. I understand what
he was saying, but that it. You can't say that the night before
you're going into the final round witha co lead. He'll out to me.
He allowed the thought of losing,Yeah, just to be okay.
You would never hear Tiger Woods orJack Nicholas or John rom or Rory to

(22:14):
that degree or any of these guysbe like, yeah, I've learned to
accept losing. I mean it's justno. You'll do with it later,
but you don't learn to accept it. I mean, I understand it's hard
to win these things, of courseit is, but you could it's hard
to win. I've got my workcut out for me tomorrow. I heard
that Ashley, and I just thoughthe's already okay. If he doesn't win,

(22:36):
yeah, And I just felt thatthere's he's not gonna he's not gonna
do well. But I feel badfor him. I mean, I do
want him to win. He's reallypopular. I love his game and everything
about him, what he stands forin the game. But I just don't
unless he changed that mentality, andI just don't know if he's ever going
to come through with those majors andhe say, well, he's won the

(22:56):
Player's Championship, that's like a major, Yeah, but it's it's not called
a major, no, And thereis a difference with it. Yes,
so um, and then the otherflip side of it. Just don't know
if you have one more question, but just the you're good the Rory thing,
you know, as much as youknow, I don't think it was
a tournament which Wyndham Clark won.He certainly didn't make any you know,

(23:21):
mistakes that were catastrophic, but youknow, he bogeed fifteen, He boge's
sixteen. He should have bogeed eighteenbecause it was such an arrant shot.
This sys to me, was moreabout if Rory had just said I'm gonna
go be like the best player inthe world and I'm gonna put a foot
down and I'm gonna go win it. He would have won it. Yeah.
You look at the pot put Lookat the pot on eight that drops,

(23:45):
there's a stroke, Look at theLook at the shot on fourteen from
one hundred and twenty one hundred andtwenty five yards out. He's got a
wedge in his hand and he putsit in the bunker. Yeah, you
know he plugs it. I meanthat's and then he boge's that whole I
mean terrible. Yeah, I meanhe lost that more than than Wyndham Clark
wanted. Yeah, I could seethat, and I think if you talked

(24:06):
to Rory he'd agree. Yeah.So it's and then at the end,
right that, you know, ifthere was a couple of things he could
have back, that would be whatdid what did you make? Because I
think all players think this and they'relying if they don't. They're lying if
they say, uh, something else. Okay, But where he admitted because

(24:26):
it's a gentleman's game, right,he admitted towards the end. Yeah,
you're you're hoping he three putts.Yeah, you're hoping your opponent. Yeah,
HiT's an errant shot. I waslike, I'm glad that you have.
I mean, when I play people, I'll stare at the ball be
like, miss it right, missit right, miss it right? And
then when its I'm like, Ithink I'm more powerful than I even realize.

(24:48):
Yeah, but but you know, you know, you congratulate them if
they make it. Yeah, butyou can. But I think people,
yeah, you can still like Ihope you missed this put right so I
can. And if you're playing witheach other, I would hope like and
not in excuse me, just afamily, ladies and gentlemen, this is
a family podcast. If you're playingin the same pairing obviously not in a

(25:11):
major, you would never say that. But if you're playing for fun on
of course, you would absolutely say, well, I hope you missed this
so I win. Like, yeah, yeah, there's I think that's great.
Be honest, I don't know. There's just seemed to be maybe a
little bit a little bit of criticism, a criticism and blowback from it.
But I think I don't know.I felt what he said was fine.
I just think also people are waytoo critical of everything that Rory says because

(25:33):
it's like we expect himself, thisperfect person who represents the PGA Tour when
we're all mad at live but thencan perfectly figure out how to navigate.
Yeah right, he's a normal human. Um Okay, So we do have
another tournament this week, and it'sanother elevated tournament, because man, they
don't sir dropping off after US Open, Yes, sir, yes, ma'am.

(25:56):
Whatever. Yeah, I again,we've talked about this, that's think
earlier in the year. I don'tlike it. Yeah, I just I
just think it's yeah, just yougotta give these guys a break. It
just I mean, it's coming offa major. You can't back it up
at an elevated event. I justdon't. I just think it's a I
don't know. I just think it'sa bummer. I don't like it.

(26:17):
Travelers is a great tournament, beenaround forever, nineteen fifty two, one
of the longest standard tournaments on thetour. Understand it, but just the
timing of it is not It's notgood. No spread them out because yeah,
you've got you had a great golfaudience. I understand that you want
to capitalize on that, but Iwhen I am watching golf, I want
to see the players at their bestand not worn out because they just played

(26:38):
in the US Open. Yeah,I mean, and because especially I was
just thinking, you've got you knowafter this. I just think it's a
mistake because you go Rocket Mortgage,John Deere, the barbe sall yeah,
and then the Scottish Open. What'sbarber sal and Scott chopin at the same

(27:00):
time. So most of the bestplayers will play Scottish Open. But why
because it's the preparation. It's withlike Rocket Mortgage, right, because you
could go this Rocket or so youcould go US Open, Rocket Travelers,
and then you could go John Deere. That I agree, yep, because
they won't do it after the OpenChampionship because after that they go to the

(27:21):
three m oh yes. Well,so this week we've got Scottie Scheffler again
favorite there at six to one,Play nine to one, Rory ten to
one, Rom ten to one,Shoffly twelve to one, m Wyndham Clark
forty to one, which is surprisinglyseems low to me. Yeah, I
wouldn't take Wyndham Clark. He's thecar wash interview whos he's just all over

(27:45):
the place. They think that he'llbe a little tired and burned out,
So that's probably why it is onthere low. We've got let's see Ricky
Fowler forty to one. Also,I don't know how he would do after
that. Homa had a nice weekendof relaxation. He's forty one. That
might not be a bad one tolook at. Justin Thomas fifty to one,
also got a nice relaxing weekend. So Justin Thomas, Jesus, what

(28:08):
the hell has happened to him thisyear? Terrible? I don't know.
Do you have anyone that is likea favorite for you this week? I'll
give you a couple. Yeah,I mean it's an elevated event, so
I al would like to use youknow, somebody that's that's damn good.
I mean, give me Patrick can'tlay twenty eleven UCLA. He shot a
sixty there and can't lay is fivefor five there at the Travelers. He's

(28:33):
got an he's got a scoring averagesixty seven point five. He is in
that span of being five for fiveeleventh, thirteenth, and fifteen. So
I think Patrick, I think it'susually in these elevated events it's a better
players rise to the top because ofthe field. So I think it's probably
time for a Patrick can't lay toprobably win one. The scores are gonna
be low. I mean, thisis a gettable course. It's a part
seventy, it's six it's six thousand, eight hundred and forty nine yards.

(28:57):
That's a slope of one thirty onefor people. That's easy. Yeah,
that's just an easy golf course. So seventy three course raiding. Jim Feerich
shot a fifty eight here back intwenty sixteen. Okay, so I mean,
give me can't lay and I liked, uh, you know, he's
never won the PGA Tour, whichis amazing to me. Not can't lay,

(29:18):
but the next guy because because Ithink of this player and I go
it won like five times would beTommy Fleetwood. Okay, I can't believe
Tommy Fleetwood has never won on thePGA Tour. And Tommy Fleetwood is closed
last week with the sixty three. We just talked about him. I always,
I think, I always like golfersthat have come off like that final

(29:41):
round of the previous tournament shooting sowell. So I don't know, give
me a Tommy Fleetwood. Harris Englishhas got a great track record there five
top two. Yeah, five topten's there, tied eight lost at the
US Open. He won the Travelersin twenty one. Brian Little Brian Harmon

(30:02):
because you don't need to hit theball far. Here. Four top tens
in his last five trips to theTravelers average sixty seven point four scoring average
in eighteen rounds. And I'll giveyou We'll give you one more. Okay,
so heath the go. Yes,he was a runner up last year.

(30:22):
I'm gonna give you a stat onthis one. You're gonna think,
wow, okay, but how manytop twenty five? I think this is
one of the most remarkable stats ingolf. Curtly Okay, he has not
missed a cut in nine months.Wow. I mean, I just I
want people to that is that isunreal, unbelievable. Maybe look at the

(30:47):
players last week that missed the cutfor the US Open. Yeah, big
names in nine months. This guyis gone, you know, second year
on the tour and hasn't missed one. So now maybe you know it's a
time for a breakthrough w and andyou know for Thagala, maybe this is
it. That's um, wow, that's pretty impressive, My wife says.

(31:07):
Wow. Interestingly enough, I didlook at him earlier, but I think
I've already used him. Oh thegala, yeah, bummer. But I
have a question for you about something. Sure I got an answer. I
want to know what you think aboutthis creamy peanut butter not chunky. Well,
obviously, who wants chunky peanut butter. It's the worst. It just
makes you feel about constantly. Iagreed, Okay, anyway back, I

(31:33):
mean, I could go on andon about that, but we want it's
it's it's not even worth a discussion. It's just so ridiculous that people think
chunky's better than creamy. Really, and you know this, and I didn't
realize we got into this debate onthe radio show. Is it doesn't say
chunky on the atoms, on theon the on the bottle, you know

(31:55):
that. No, just crunchy.Oh yeah, crunchy. Yeah. But
do you ever say do you likecreamy or crunchy? No? You say
do you like creamy peanut butter orchunky peanut butter? Right? Yeah,
these are the things I think about, And it's odd. I mean,
I think it's valid. I thinkyou have a very valid point that you're

(32:17):
at least somebody does. Well, yeah, at least somebody does. We'll
just going. Okay, here's myquestion. I want to ask you about
Austin Eckert. What do you think? Okay, he's his odds are gosh,
now I lost it. I don'teven I'll be I'm gonna. I'm

(32:37):
just gonna admit I could lie.I don't know who that is. Oh,
okay, odds are seventy to one. He is the one that shot
what do you have on Sunday? It was a front nine twenty nine at
LACC. I believe, okay, yeah, yeah, I was thinking Tom
Kim. Didn't Tom Kim also havethat? H did? Yes? He

(32:59):
so he tied that. He's arookie, played at Oklahoma State, third
round seventy three, and then hadfour birdies in an eagle on the front
ninth Sunday, storming into the topten. So that's why I know saw.
I mean, I've heard of him, I've seen his name, I
should say, But then I sawhim come up on the leaderboard and then
now he's seventy to one. ButI don't know if it's worth a risk
on elevated event. Okay, soyou're you're you're going with Austin what was

(33:23):
it Austin Ekrote and I haven't decidedfor sure. Now I'm actually trying to
even figure out where did he finish, because let's go, Austin eck Rot.
Come on, Austin, you areyou have? Do you have any
players left or something? Yeah?I have a ton, but I just
really like to try. Oh yeah, finished T ten? Okay, but
all right, why are you justyou're taking a stab on Austin. Yeah,

(33:45):
so he tied. Oh there's JohnRom. I didn't even know how
John Rom finished, so I thoughthe was way worse. He finished T
ten with So it was Austin Ecrot, John Rom, Xander Shaffley, Dustin
Johnson. Does aren't bad names? He had a necro went seventy one sixty
eight, seventy three sixty five.Okay, I don't know, just a
name would look at. I aminterested, and I don't know if this

(34:05):
would be the event that I woulduse him for necessarily, as I said,
because of the elevated well I justlook it up. He had to
share the lead, entered the finalround of the Buyer Nelson. He went
on to finish that second. Yeah, ok so, I don't know.
I'm intrigued by him, and Idon't know if it would be this week
or if he's he might be mynew do it, my new Wyndham Clark,
do it? I say, pulla special interest. You know what

(34:28):
a special interests are? I don't. But if they're off hunting, the
hunt, and damn it, you'rea big hunter. Yeah. Also,
it's really weird when you write,Austin ekrote. It's one thing when you
read it, but when you writeit, it looks like you definitely spelled
it wrong. Austin eckro Yeah, that's unique. All right, actually going
off the board. Maybe I'll letyou know what. Maybe I'll just do

(34:49):
it. I'll just do it,do it get crazy? Okay, now
I'm gonna I'm on Austin e Instagrampage. Oh that might Oh okay,
So last question. He's a goodlooking guy, jesus. Yeah, it's
like a model. Yeah, he'snot bad on the ice. I'm surprised
that it's taking you this long. You haven't mentioned Wyndham Clark's girlfriend once.

(35:09):
Uh, yeah, not bad. She's very pretty, she's enumerable. Maybe
to a door, it's pretty cute. Yeah, maybe that's what it is.
All right now, I'm going Austineck Roat. You really are.
Yeah, I'm gonna take take arisk. Watch, I'm putting it in

(35:29):
right now. You are terrible.Just no, I don't do it.
Why, I don't know. Thatdoesn't feel right. Okay, but you
know what you do you No,no, no, I need to do
some more research. But I thinkI'm gonna pick him. Well a chance,
we'll see, you know what.I like it, like I switch

(35:50):
gears here. I like it.You're going out on your own. You're
doing something different. Do it foryou? Okay, Yeah, I'm doing
it. I put it in.Oh, I did it. I am
a risk. I'm looking at thisvideo. I hadn't seen this from the
US Open. Did you see thevideo Patrick Reid's caddy. There was somebody

(36:12):
at the ELI Country Club and theywere going to the ninth hole. Yeah,
somebody in the in the gallery calledPatrick Read a cheater. So Patrick
Read's caddy, which is the wifeor the brother of his wife, ask
police to arrest him and remove himfrom the tournament. Oh god, but

(36:34):
Colin, I'm a cheater. Yeah, that's what the guy's gonna do.
It's cuff you and arrest you forsure you got it all right, let's
go t mac rope
