Speaker 1 (00:01):
Remember that magic eight ball A nice little shaken.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Look at this I'm getting late tonight.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
You can trust whatever it said, or you could trust
these two guys named Adam.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It's a crap shoot either way.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
But these are your son cold.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Look steps up, all right.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
It's one of our favorite segments of the week.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
As we continue here on the eight Team Sports Talk
seven ninety and now simulcast on Space City Home Network,
wex is in Eugene, Oregon. If you're looking around and
you can't see him, that's why. In case you're just
now tuning in, I'm back here at the rain.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Stop by the conference room. You'll see me.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Stop by the conference room. It's time, specifically for me
to pull my head out of my backside. Never in
the history of this show have I had an OH
for week until last week. Not proud of it, Wes.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Yeah, it didn't work out very well for you. If
our viewers could see at home an OH for five week,
dropping you six games under five hundred. I did not
have a good week either, managing just a single win
and the extremely important late game tie in the Oklahoma
Auburn game. Playing a factor, but three l's and Cole
as you mentioned earlier this week moved out in front

(01:26):
by a couple of victories, and the only one of
us it's been right more than he's been wrong. Another
four and one week for him, eleven and nine on
the season. Another poor week by all three of us
when making a selection about the hometown football team at
the NFL level, none of us getting the text and
selection right about a touchdown favorite for this weekend's game

(01:49):
at home against the Tennessee Titans. With an over under
of slightly under forty, that's probably a very very good number.
That's obviously a game we must select among our stone
cold locks this week. Last week's game with the week
Texas Tech in Utah. Again Cole right us wrong. This
week's game of the week, with lots to choose from,
we hat LSU and ole Miss and that one. We'll

(02:11):
all make our play on that game. We'll get started
with our four selections, see if we can make up
some ground between ourselves and Cole and Cole as always,
you get us started with your four selections, hanging onto
that Texans pick and till the end.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Head on down to the Magnolia State.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Ole Miss has won the last two times it's faced
off against LSU at home. I think it's gonna happen again.
I trust Tradedad Chambliss. I think that he is the
legit deal Ferris State or not, I don't care if
you can point out on the map he's looked awesome.
But I also think the LSU's defense has looked awesome.
And even though I don't trust the rushing attack of
what you got currently behind Garrett and Asmeier, it's gonna

(02:48):
be a low scoring affair. Fifty six and a half
feels like a little bit too rich for my liking.
I like a twenty four to twenty type of game,
twenty four to seventeen type of game. So take the
ender at minus fifty six and a half head on
over to Fadeville, where last.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Week Arkansas won me money.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
But I also had Arkansas at a touchdown favorite on
my other pool, and they decided to go ahead and
crap the bed in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Not Able to get any momentum moving at all.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Three points in the second half against Memphis not a
Dame's legit. I get that they're zero to two against
Power four teams that are going to the playoffs. Their
defense has struggled, but I do like Jeremiah Love, I
do like Darian Price, I like CJ. Carr. I think
of the offense is going to find new light this week.
I'm taking them at mayas four and a half. Let's
head on over to Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas where

(03:35):
because of all of the other teams in the Big
Twelve have looked awesome, we haven't focused enough on what
Jalen Daniels has done this year and Cincinnati I hated
the higher Scott Sanderfield.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I think that he is on the hot seat. I
do not believe he is going to turn the corner
at all.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
And I think that Jaalen Daniels is going to make
the Jayhawks a threat going into the month of November.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
So I'm taking them at minus four and a half.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
And I'm gonna keep with the college football realm because
I went four to zero last week in college football games.
Let's stay there. Will he be is a hostile environment.
It's one of the best locations in college football. But
are you really trusting the South Carolina offense?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
No?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Are you trusting Kentucky's offense? Hell no? Take the under
at forty seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
One thing on Arkansas and this is obviously not a
conference game. Or are we getting to the end of
the Sam Pittman era.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, I mean I think at some point in the
next three to four weeks he's gonna be fired and
by Patrino's gonna close.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Up the deal.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Seems like that part of it is absolutely already in
the works. And obviously everybody knew that was coming, even
Sam Pittman when they hired him. This was there was
almost no way that this wasn't going to be how
things played out for him at Arkansas once Bobby Patrino
came on board. But they will be fascinating if nothing else.
I don't know how much better they might be during
this Patrino era. All right, A see Texans pick to

(04:54):
the end?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Mike, what you.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Got for your others? No?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
My god, Sorry, Well, I was just gonna say, I'm
my lsu at ole. Miss pick is petty is not
based on any sort of analysis or fact or anything
other than I just want to fade you guys.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
I'm taking the over.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Oh so you already saw our picks before you made
your own.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Well I had to.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
They were already there when I put my picks in.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Man, child.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
That's what I am.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
That's weak.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I don't care if I get the over. I'm gonna
laugh at you.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
I'll say he gets to win this week, and.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
I'm talking any here about getting the over. You're just
trying to catch up.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
That's smart, I know, which is why I'm actually taking
all overs this week except for one. We'll get to that.
Ravens at Chiefs forty eight and a half, Packers at
Cowboys forty seven and a half. These are more based
on the numbers they're giving, especially that Packers at Cowboys

(05:49):
one and Eagles at Bucks where Baker Mayfield still has
that large bag of chips on his shoulder forty four
and a half. I'm taking the over on all all
three of those games.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Yeah, I think I know what you're doing with the
Texans game, but I don't want to spoil it for
anybody that's not watching us on TV where you can
already see it on the screen. But that's okay. I've
got obviously lsu'll own miss playing the under that was
already given. I am doing way more college football than
I probably should, and only big games, which is even
worse idea, So I'm already expecting another bad week. It's

(06:23):
probably much like my fantasy football team, and I'm taking
all road teams. I think Florida State is just significantly
better than Virginia. A little bit tougher test, sure, but
getting it under seven. I'll take that minus six and
a half for Florida State. The Hoosiers, I think they
try to tell everybody that they're actually a pretty good outfit,
and Kurt Signette's got this team where he wants them

(06:44):
to be. I don't think guy can keep up with them.
They may slow them down a bit, but I don't
think they can keep up with them. So I'll take
Indiana at minus seven and a half. And the constant
discussions about well, if there's a big game and James
Franklin's team is in it and they're obviously not going
to win, well the other team is already the underdog,
which Oregon is. That makes it very simple, and obviously

(07:06):
here in Eugene, Oregon, I'm gonna take Oregon to cover
as dogs at three and a half. We'll get it
started with the Texans. I will take the Texans to win,
which we'll keep discussing for the next ninety minutes, but
not cover the seven points. I'll take the Texans to win,
but I'll take the Titans to cover the number.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Ay see, let me go rough fast. It's the exact
same thing.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Texans win, but that touchdown lead is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Take the Titans and plus.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Seven under thirty nine and a half?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Why should I do? Why should I take the over?
Why should anybody take the over?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Like the number actually went up during the week because
it was thirty eight and a half, and if thirty
nine and a half, this game is betting it up.
I know it was low, and that's exactly what happens.
But holy cow, I think, guess we're gonna see some
touchdowns from the non offenses. We're gonna see a special
team score, were gonna see a defensive score something like
that in order to get this thing headed in the right.

(08:03):
I think the Texans are in great shape to slow
them down. And I sure hope the Texans offense comes
to play.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Finally over forty four and a half last week against
the Jags and that got me a big fat loss.
So until further notice, that's what we're doing. And those
are your stone cold locks of the week. We will
wrap up the four o'clock hour next by asking a
very important question about Sam Darnold

Speaker 1 (08:30):
