Speaker 1 (00:00):
Stirring the pot. One morning at a time.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome looking through the Alabama Show.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
I think this morning there was a sign on my
way to work of how today's going to be. What
sign did you see?
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Well, there was a.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Fire in somebody's yard at five am.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
In multiple places.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
I already had to call nine one one Before six
am you had.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
To call them.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
I did.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I did, And I don't know if I overstepped or not,
but there was a fire by the street and it's
like seventeen degrees outside and it's five am. Nobody was outside.
They weren't doing a bonfire. And then when I drove
by their house real slowly, there was like another fire
and another spot in their yard. I don't think that
fire was supposed to be there. So I called nine
one one, literally I did. They were like, let's the
(00:56):
address of your emergency. I said, I don't know, somewhere
down here.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
It's here where I am. I gave him the street.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
So if you're listening to the show and a fire
truck wakes you up at five point thirty this morning,
or if you're responding to a fire, yeah it was me.
I called. I don't know. It was weird, but yeah,
I did. Would you have done that? Yeah, there's two superfires.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yeah, there's like no one around. That's what I was like.
That's not normal, is it? Especially this early in the morning.
Nobody's doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
I know when I was like, I told the lady,
I was like, I don't want to walk in. I
don't want to I don't want to go knock on
their door. So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Oh man, that's a wild morning.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Anyway, good morning, thank you for being here. It's going
to be a wild morning the rest of the day.
He called the show eight three three five, I one
and Bama is the number.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
It's what the hell headlines?
Speaker 3 (01:50):
What the hell are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
On the Alabama Show.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
First responders had to rescue an eighty six year old
man blowing leaves alf Israel after his wife told him
not to. Why you should have just listen to this
is a crystal ball into your future.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
I feel like producer Blake, Okay, probably you.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Eighty six year old James was rescued by Tampa. This
happened in Florida first responders. When he went on his
roof to blow off the leaves, he said his shoes
were not gripping too well, and before he knew it,
his feet were hanging over the side of the roof.
His wife obviously told him that was a bad idea.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Listen to this. I got you, sir.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
I'm glad somebody's got me. My neighbor just having to
walk out and saw my legs over to the side
of the house and called nine one one. She's been
on me for years and not to do it well.
When you build a home and you go up there
and you blow at lce a year, you get confident.
Speaker 7 (02:45):
Maybe it's time to take Sharon's in lace and get
someone else up there next year.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Why Super Easy Trivia with the Yelabama.
Speaker 3 (02:57):

to call the show good morning. Who's this Sla Mango
with cheeky extra mot Sorry?
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Where are you at? Good for? Where are you ordering
coffee from? Where's that? Okay?
Speaker 1 (03:18):
All right?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
What was your name?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Taylor? Taylor?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Okay, girl, you're trying to win these pentatonic tickets, ma'am?
All right, let's play super Easy Trivia so you can
get to your food producer Blake. It's your lifeline. Here's
question number one. What month comes after December January.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Good job.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Next one. How many seasons are there?
Speaker 4 (03:41):

Speaker 7 (03:43):

Speaker 3 (03:46):

Fall, winter, spring, and autumn. No summer, summer?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Is it? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
I don't he.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Look you haven't got your coffee yet.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Let me either dang all right, Taylor. Last one for
the wind. Who is the cowboy in the movie Toy Story?
Uh woody? Good job? Congratulations Taylor. You are going to Pentatonics.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
There's three things you need to know you with the ELEMENTA.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Show any seven Brew is coming to Highway to eighty.
Construction has officially begun. Have you been to seven Brie yet?
Speaker 4 (04:33):
I don't drink coffee they.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Got they got bagels and stuff.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
I didn't know they did this.
Speaker 3 (04:38):

It's going to be behind the upcoming raising canes on.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Meadow Lark Drive.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
They're expected to be finished by March or April of
twenty twenty six. They do have energy drinks, teas, lemonade,
smoothies and shake. So there you go.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Producer Blake, I do like that apple.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Just drop the most downloaded apps of twenty twenty five.
What do you think?
Speaker 4 (05:00):
The number one app was.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Oh, Okay okay, Tender chat GPT. Nobody's downloading tender anymore?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Where are you being?
Speaker 3 (05:09):
This? Ain't freaking twenty eleven. That was the most downloaded
free iPhone app of the year. Threads was number two,
followed by Google and TikTok. The most downloaded free game
for iPhone was block Blast than Fortnite than Roadblocks. That's right,
Fortnite needs to be I knew you'd be happy about
that one. And an update on director Rob Reiner and
(05:30):
his wife Michelle, who were found dead at their La
home yesterday.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
They are now investigating.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
It as a homicide per people and sources are claiming
that it was their son Nick, who is being investigated.
If you don't know who Rob Reiner was, he was
a director, producer, and actor. A lot of people know him.
Did you watch A New Girl? He was the dead
he played her dad. Yes, So this is really sad
and this, I mean, it's just insane.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
As more comes out, will.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Keep you updated, But just what a what a wild story?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
That is?
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Three things you need to know more at the Alabama
Show Dot com you were.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Listening to the Alabama.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Show me Deana, good morning.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
Speaker 4 (06:14):
I broke up with.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
My boyfriend because of his sister.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
That's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever have
an issue that you need help with, call the show.
Eight three three five I one Bama is the number.
Why did you break up with your boyfriend over his sister? So?
Speaker 7 (06:28):
I dated my boyfriend for two years and his relationship
with his sister and his mom always felt off. I'm
wondering if I'm valid and this being weird or maybe
I'm overreacting.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
I'm not sure. Okay, So what are some of the things,
like what's that relationship like with your boyfriend and his sister?
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Okay, So my boyfriend lives with his sister.
Speaker 7 (06:48):
She's always been super territorial of him, which is fine,
but this one time she she showed me a picture
of this new guy she was dating, and I was like, oh,
he's shoot, And immediately she said that I need to
respect her brother and not say that other manner of
are attractive.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
That's weird.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
She constantly would call him when.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
She knew we were on deep. But she knew because
they lived together. Oh no.
Speaker 7 (07:12):
And then one time this was really the kicker. She
made a comment about him having a cute butt, Hey,
that's weird, which I thought was really weird. And then
I feel like when I try to bring it up
with him, he would say that I was crazy and
I was overthinking it. So I just realized that this
is not the type of family dynamic that I want
to marry into. So I broke it off. And I'm
(07:32):
just wondering if that's crazy, if me am I overthinking it.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
No, that's so weird. You don't have a sister. You
only have brothers, right, pretty And if they said I
had a cube boat, we'd have a real issue.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
What do you think? Do you think it's weird or not? Yeah,
that's weird.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Be sure that's a sister and it's not somebody is
a sister or something.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
This sounds like a different type of.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
We are in the South. That's it's weird. I have
two brothers. Never ever have I ever said that they
have a cute but and never ever when I ever ever,
and if they're on a date, never ever, when I
call them over and over, No, I think, because it's
only going to get worse.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
If you get married. Let's see if we can get
some advice for you.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Call the show. Have you ever dated somebody that was
unusually close with their family and did you break it off?
Or are you on the other end, are you really
close with your family like this and not just how
you are?
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Eight three three five oh one. BAMA is the number.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
That's eight three three five oh one two two six two.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Eight three three five I one and BAMA is the
number to call the show.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
Chrits, Good morning.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
What do you think about Deanna and her boyfriend and
his sister's weird relationship?
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Yeah? I know this, This is real weird. It's always
a little bit weird when a brother and a sister
live together as adults like that. That usually just Sti'll
mix like that.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yeah that's really fun.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
Okay, but you definitely shouldn't be making comments about each other.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, that's a little weird.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
You can see like she can see that he's handsome,
we're good looking. That's okay, but talking about the talking
about the rear.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
No, So you don't think it's weird that Deanna broke
up with her boyfriend because it made her uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
No, no, yeah, there's something sounky there and I don't
I wouldn't want to part of that either. I don't
blame her.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Thank you, buddy, I appreciate.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
You for colling Hey. Thanks having it's always saw yell.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
There's three things you need to know with the Element show.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
A ribbon cutting happened yesterday that officially opened the new
Calera fire station for a five point five million dollars station,
and there was an open house yesterday.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Oh man, let's sick.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
It was paid for by the city using grants and
funding after the COVID pandemic. The odds of a white
Christmas are not going to happen. According to meteorologists.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
What a shocker.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Most of the country is going to have a above
average temperatures. There's a warming trend expected coming up. So
the only place that may get a white Christmas is Alaska.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
That's it. Lindsay Lohan is going to voice Maggie on
this Sunday's episode of The Simpsons.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Maggie's the baby yea.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
So this is an episode where they're in the future
and Maggie actually talks, and so Lindsay Lohan's going to
be the voice.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
This is part of it. I want you to listen
to this. Well, am I going to lard enough.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
To kill people if you don't let me practice? That's
bart Uggy, Maggie West your voice. You're still getting over
that land Ginas.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Please don't let bar drive. It's too scary.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
He drives so wiggly, and everybody hunts at us and
yells bad words and shows us fingers. That's Lindsey lohand
I would not have guessed that was Lindsay Lohan.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
I would not have either. I'm excited. So that's this
Sunday's episode. If you want to see good for her.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
I love that. That's three things you need to know
more at the Alabama Show dot com.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
We're listening to The Alabama Show on demand.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Eight thirty five oh one Bama is the number to
call the show. Jordan, good morning. Do you have good news?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Good morning?
Speaker 7 (11:06):
I kind of have two good news.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Okay, what's your good news?
Speaker 5 (11:09):
So I finally got a new job.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Okay, and the second good news is.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
My husband gets paid today, so we could finally short
by Christmas.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Girl.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
I heard that. I know I just got paid today too.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
There is nothing like having to wait on that paycheck
so you can go Christmas shopping. It is stressful, exactly,
It's extremely stressful, especially.
Speaker 7 (11:33):
With three kids.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
What what's your new.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Job that you got. I'm at all stake. Are you
making more money than your other job?
Speaker 5 (11:40):
I definitely make a lot more.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
I was working on my kid's sake here before.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
This, and I love it, but I barely make anything.
Absolutely well. That is great news. Thank you so much
for calling and sharing. Congratulations, congrats, thank you.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
If you were listening to the Alabama Show, the following
program is fun demand if you missed it.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
We've been doing this thing called Alabama's Polite Porch Pirates.
You can sign up at the Alabamashow dot com. We
really want to surprise some families who could use a
little extra cheer this year, and trying to pick out
winners has been one of the most difficult things I've
ever had to do. We have one on the line, Miranda,
(12:20):
Good morning, Good morning, hey girl.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
It's Alabama and producer Blake.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
We wanted to talk about your granddad really quick because
you nominated your grandfather for Polite Porch Pirates and I
when I read his story that you sent in. I
was like, Oh, we got to take him some Christmas cheer.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
Is so exciting.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Tell me a little bit about your granddad. I know
I could read this submission, but I want to hear
from you, Like, what about your granddad is so special?
Why did you want to nominate him?
Speaker 7 (12:49):
Well, my granddad he's pretty much raised me since I
was little and he still helps me with my kids today.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
We recently lost my grandma mother, which is his law
and they've been married for.
Speaker 7 (13:03):
Over thirty five years.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, and she's always been big on the holiday.
Speaker 7 (13:09):
He's been big on Thanksgiving, Christmas.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
You love Christmas.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
So he's had a really rough tom lately. I can imagine,
because I like losing a loved one during the holidays,
and I'm going to try not to tear up and
cry talking to you about it.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
And like my.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Grandfather, he passed away, and I've seen my grandmother navigate
life without him, and I can imagine your grandfather trying
to navigate life without her too, and I know that's
got to be really hard, especially for the first holiday
without her that's been run.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Yeah, I want to call him.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Do you think he would be open to me calling
him with you on speakerphone and telling him that we're
going to show up.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
Do you think you you'd be mad? No, don't think so.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Okay, I'm going to put you on hold and we're
going to go. Try to call your granddad and we'll
get back to him.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
You were listening to the Alabama Show Home on demand.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
I want to read you the nomination Miranda did for
her grandfather for polite porch pirates. All right, hit me
with you if you missed it. We talked to Miranda
earlier and we're gonna call her grandfather and surprise him.
In a second. Miranda said, my grandparents took me in
as a baby and raised me as their own. Now,
all these years later, he continues to help me with
(14:25):
my own babies. This year will be the first holiday
season he's spending alone. We recently lost my grandmother, his
wife of over thirty five years. She always made every
holiday feel magical and without her. Oh, this is gonna
get me. I know this season will be incredibly difficult
for him. He is a simple man who never asked
(14:47):
for anything, so it's hard to name a material item
he may want because he has never been that type
of person. But more than any gift, I think what
he needs most is a reminder of I loved he is.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
This is difficult.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
I know. We look and if you know anybody that
needs a little Christmas cheer, go to the Alabama Show
dot com. Miranda has called her grandfather on three Way.
We have him here, Carlton. Good morning, Hello Carlton, you're
on three Way with Miranda. And Hey, I'm Alabama from
(15:24):
the Alabama Show. We're morning show host. I just wanted
to say, good morning.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
How are you.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
I'm good, we are good.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
So we do this.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Thing on the show and it's called Polite Porch Pirates,
and we have asked people to submit people who could
use a little extra holiday cheer, and Miranda nominated you,
and we wanted to bring you some Christmas presents.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Okay, can I can?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Can I tell you a little bit of what she
has told us and so so, Miranda told us that
this will be your first holiday season, and we know
that you have lost your wife of thirty five years
and this is your first holidays without her, and that
you and your oh fifty years and you and your
(16:11):
wife raised Miranda. Look, my grandparents raised me. I'm sorry
I'm going to try not to tear up talking to you.
So I know how special it is to be raised
by your grandparents, and I know that Miranda loves you
very much.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
So we've teamed up.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
With Rock and Roll Sushi, and I have a Target
gift card for you for one hundred dollars. I've got
one hundred dollars Visa gift card. We went out shopping.
I heard you're about to move into a cabin on
the lake, so we got you some really great things
to decorate your new lake house cabin house, and just
(16:45):
some really great Christmas presents we would like to bring
to you.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
Okay, well, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
I know we just put you on the spot.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
You want to say, Miranda, do you want to say
anything to your granddad or do you want to say
anything Miranda?
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Thanks, Yeah, be careful, let the trio we will.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
I love you, I love you.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
I just I really think this is great. And Miranda
has really talked you up. She said that you also
help with her kids and that you are just a
really great guy and one of the things that I love.
She goes, he's a diabetic but a sucker for sweets.
So we did put a little sweets in there, but
not too many.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
Well, way too many, but.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
A little bit.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yes, you know, you.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Gotta enjoy life just a little bit. But Carlton, we
just we think you're awesome and you're great for what
you do, and I hope you haven't merry Christmas. We
want to show you that you are are loved and
cared for for the holidays.
Speaker 7 (17:43):
Well, I'm appreciate that and thank him so much.

Alabama's polite porch pirates.
