Speaker 1 (00:00):
Stirring the pots one morning at a time. Welcome, Welcome
through the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (00:15):

headphones already, Good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Good morning. It's this is a start to him Monday.
I'll tell you right now.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Hi, thanks for listening to the show. I'm Alabama with
Producer Blake. I started the show and Producer Blake starts
looking around panicing, that's okay, we'll get through it. Did
you miss me?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
How did the show go while I was gone? I
heard some of it. The boss told me it was rough.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
I was told I cannot run the show by myself anymore.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
What did you talk about in three things you need
to know?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I don't know. I just remember pulling what everyone was
hot top. I've ember talked about Chick fil A. That's all.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Actually, did anybody call into the show and talk to you?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Yes? Did I get it out on time? I did not.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I was I was on vacation. I let Producer Blake
run the show. I think it's great because the only
way you're ever going to learn is if you just
do it.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Yeah, And to be fair, I have never like worked
on that same stuff you use whenever we run the show.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
How hard is our job.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
I'll tell you right now that, on.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Top of having to make sure that we have content
and then getting told that it was awful is the
worst feeling in the world.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I did hear your what's awesome and you were like,
it's me. I am what's awesome. I am Producer Blake.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
It was funny for the bit. I did it for
the bit and I thought it was funny. That's that's good.
I was told not, I can't do it anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
At least somebody did.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Hey, look it.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Was funny to me, and that's all that matters. You
guys said, make sure it's funny. I said, okay, call
the show. How did producer Blake do?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Also, how was your weekend? I'm glad we're all safe.
Eight three three five oh one. Bama is the number?
Good morning?

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Is what the hell headlines on the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
There's a leprechaun on the loose in Alabama.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
And it's not to me.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Actually this is a throwback what the hell headline, but
it's so funny. In honor of Saint Patrick's day, listen
to this.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Crowds are coming by the dozens to get an up
close view at what some say as a piece of
Irish folklore.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Some people in the criton area of mobiles say a
leprechaun's taking up residents in their neighborhood.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
My theory of this casting a shadow from the other
limb good beal quackead.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I got home to the round stuff and it.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Told me to get up in a tree and play.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
On Super Easy Trivia with the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
All right, producer Blake, come on down, all right, I'm coming.
It's all uh Saint Patrick's Day theme today, because by
the way, today Saint Patrick's Day, make sure you wear
your green. Question number one, okay, what do four leaf
clovers represent good luck? Is that your final answer?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, I'm gonna go lock that one in.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
All right, where is the pot of gold.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
The end of the rainbow?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
That is correct? And last question in Super Easy Trivia
for the wind producer Blake, Okay, what is the famous
cereal featuring eleprechaun and marshmallow shapes?

Speaker 3 (03:29):
So I know it's lucky charms? Lucky charms?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Worse, I can't be congratulations. I have no pot of
gold for you, but I won't pinch you anymore.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Okay, I'll take that. That's a good deal.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
There's three things you need to know with the element
of course, we're dealing with clean up now after the
storms that happened over the weekend. There was a school
bus on top of a high school in Talladega County.
Did you see that.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, it's like half on the school, half hanging off.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
It is insane. I did see this morning that three
people in Alabama lost their lives to the storm, so
we are thinking about their family since he got hit
really bad. In Walker County, they're starting clean up. Koleira
Intermediate School is closed today after the damage from the
storm is over the weekend. It's just it's that season.
No you're safe place and just have a plan and

(04:24):
be prepared. It's just I mean, I know there's nothing
that can ever really prepare you for that, but we're
thinking about everybody. The iHeartRadio Music Awards are tonight. Are
you ready? Billie Eilish performing. Also, there's a one of
a kind performance from Taylor Swift from her Era's Tour,
because today is the anniversary of her first night of

(04:46):
the Era's Tour, which is getting the Tour of the Century.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
That I may see what she performs.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
It'll be well, it's going to be from that night.
It's a special, yeah, but it'll be great. And also
Lady Gaga getting the Inn of Award, Mariah Kerry getting
the Icon Award. Kendrick Lamar and Drake are both up
for the same award. So I'm very curious to see
if they're both there and what's gonna happen when one
of them wins, because you know it's gonna be Kendrick,
you know, you.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Know, well, yeah, it's gotta be after what's happened.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Anyway, if you want to watch that, that's tonight at
eight seven Central on Fox. Here are the deals today
for Saint Patrick's Day. If you wear green and going
to Krispy Kreme, you get a free glazed donut. Burger
King has free on your onion rings. With the one
dollar purchase. Arby's you get a free corned beef Reuben
if you spend fifteen bucks. Dairy Queen has the Mint

(05:37):
or a Blizzard back for a limited time. And then
Coldstone Creamery has Lucky Charms inspired ice cream and shakes.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Now that sounds like a good deal.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Get your Irashan today. That's three things you need to
know more at the Alabama Show dot com.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
You're listening to the Alabama Show on to man.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
We always try to help you out with your life problems.
If you have any, we will do our best. Eight
three one Bama is the number. Crystal, Good morning. What's
going on in your world?

Speaker 5 (06:05):
I have some dating drama?

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Oh yeah, what's your dating drama?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
So I met this guy on Facebook dating, okay, and
I had like a suspicion that like he and I
had both worked on cruise ships, and like he was
a musician. And I was like, I'm sure we have
like a ton in common and he loves board games.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Please tell me y'all hooked up before and don't remember?

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Oh god, no, no, okay. And so we have a
ton of stuff in common, and we've gone on like
a few dates and it kind of just fizzled. Like
he's nice, but he's.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Just not for me, okay.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
So I have this board game group I meet up
with on Tuesdays, but I've been unavailable for six months
because of work, okay, And so this past Tuesday, I
show up to my board game group and who is
sitting at the table but date that I have like
kind of ghost He joined.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Your board game group. Yes, I told you we had
so much in common.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
He was actually my replacement from the group. That side
a bond from.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Him, So he didn't even know that that was a
group that you were in.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
No, well, god, what if he did and he's stalking, Well,
that would be a little weird.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
So you have ghosted him and then you show up
and he's there. Did he say anything to you about it?

Speaker 3 (07:29):
No?

Speaker 5 (07:29):
We just played the game and it was fine. But
it was one of those like awkward, Do I have
to leave my board game group? Or does he could
seuse that you remember?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Well, you were there first, obviously, y'all are gonna end
up picking up. Oh, I mean he's very hot.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
I just a little worried.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Bod game?

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Where are you playing? Shoots and Ladders?

Speaker 5 (07:49):
So that's a little awkward.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
That's my drama.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
No, but seriously, what board game were you playing? I
want to know?

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Oh, we play all sorts of different ones. Moonraker this
was the one we were playing.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Oh yeah, y'all are moon right? Y'all be moon breaking.
After the board game meeting.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
There was there was some sight you're right.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Producer, Blake, you're my Dungeons and Dragons. Guy who should
leave the board game group?

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Well, obviously you started it, so you stay.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
It's you know, it's kind of like when a dog
goes on a tree or something that's my territory.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Oh my god, it's not this weird thing about numbers, right, No.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Because they wanted more people, because people's schedules don't always
line up, so like more people, like it was a
wider net, was cas.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Let me ask you this. Did you sit by him
at board game night?

Speaker 5 (08:36):
I sat across room?

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Oh my gosh, end up getting married? Girl? Ain't nobody
leaving that board group? Stay there?

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Thanks?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Call Look this is how me and Steak Daddy worked out.
My boyfriend. He asked me out for years and I
said no, and then finally I gave him a chance,
and now we're living together. Call the show. Have you
ever blown some off and then ended up with then later?
Eight three three five oh one BAMA is the number?
That's eight three three five oh one two two six two.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Eight three three five oh one Bama is the number? Chris,
good morning, Hey, Hey, welcome back, Thank you? Okay, have
you ever blown anybody off and then ended up dating
them lighter or has this happened to you?

Speaker 6 (09:25):
It never happened exactly in this way. And I started
dating somebody and then you know, got blown off and
then get back together. But it's a shocking number of
the women I've been in relationship with in my life
we started out as friends and I got friend zoned
first and then ended up getting together later.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Those make the best relationships the honestly, I'm in that relationship.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Yeah, thou would be great relationships. I say, she needs
to stay in the board game group to see what happens.
They're both adults. They can figure it out, and maybe
you're right, maybe they'll end up together. At least took
it up a little bit.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
You never know.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I love you, Chris, Thank you for calling.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
Love y'all, thanks for having me. It's always fun.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
It's three things you need to know with the Element show.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Magic City Wine Fest is coming up real quick, May
thard less than two months away.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Are you ready? I don't know if you're ready.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Oh gosh, there's all the wine, food music. It's at
the Hoover Mint this year. It always sells out. It's
a great girls night or a date night. Get your
tickets now at Magiccitywinefest dot com. I have the cheapest
place to buy a dozen eggs. Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Is it your house?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
It ain't me. I mean it may be, but I
don't have unlimited supplies. Sam's Club cheapest place to buy
eggs right now at four dollars and fifteen cents a dozen.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
That's still a lot for a dozen.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I know. Walmart is in next at five ninety seven,
Publics five ninety nine, Target five ninety nine. Surprisingly, the
dollar General and Aldi are higher. They are over six
dollars a dozen for eggs, even Aldise. I know, I
know that's it. Eggs be high. Get you some chickens also,
if you get you some chickens, because chicks, baby chicks

(10:59):
are selling out like crazy attractor supply right now. If
you get baby chicks, just realize you're not going to
start getting eggs for like five to six months, so
you ain't gonna be getting eggs right away. Also, look
out for scams this tax season. The IRS is morning
people of scams this year because scammers use tax season

(11:19):
to try to trick people, like fake emails saying it's
the IRS promising or refund. Have you been getting any
calls that say you owe back taxes? I've been getting
some of those.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, that's crazy. If I did my text, I believe them.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Do you not do your text?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I do my taxes. I just haven't done it yet.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Like, all right, are you legal? Are you good? Do
you need an audit?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I hope not.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Also, don't take tax advice on social media. They say
it's not right, it's not accurate. So just do your
taxes or pay somebody to do them. Just you know.
I still things you need to know more at the
Alabama Show dot com.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
We're listening to The Alabama Show on demand.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
If you have good news, we want to hear it.
Eight three five one Bama is the number. Also, if
you ever want to see live behind the scenes, we're
on TikTok live right now. Go follow Alabama Radio. I
promise you it's it's gold today.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
It is worth it, I promise Anthony.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Good morning. What's your good news? What are you celebrating?

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Sleen Patty?

Speaker 5 (12:15):
Happy Petty?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
But oh my gosh, yeah, are you wearing your grain?

Speaker 4 (12:23):
I don't actually own any green clothing.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
You're killing me? Are you gonna go out? And have
fun tonight. Are you going out drinking for Saint Patrick's Day?
What are you doing hanging out? My cat? You know what?
I love you? That is what's awesome. You were great.
Thank you for calling the show.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
One.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
You're listening to the Alabama Show. The following program is
fun demand.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Are you the redneck in storms that runs outside or
do you like hide it hide in the house and
prep Uh?

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Usually, I'll be honest with you, I don't mind going
outside watching.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
By the way, thank you for listening to the Alabama Show.
I'm Alabama with producer like, where were you though with
the weather this weekend? Were you you came to the studios.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I was already at the studio since five that morning,
and he stayed here, stayed here and played video games
here in the lobby.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
My gosh, I literally was like prepping my closet because
we had bad weather over the weekend, and I was
prepping my closet, putting pillows in the floor, getting my
safe space. I put my helmet and steak. Daddy looked
at me. He was like, you were crazy. I was like, no,
I'm not. We need a safe place. The wind started
picking up my freaking neighbors were riding their golf cart

(13:38):
up and down the street while the freaking trees are
looking like they're going to turn sideways, and they're driving
the neighborhood kids around on the golf cart. And I
hear the kids going.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
We I literally spent all day in here, had the
TV turned up and I put on I brought my
Xbox and I downloaded like forty gates.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Oh my gosh, what was your girlfriend doing? Does she prep?
Is she a prepper? She don't care.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
She was coming back from the beach.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Oh so she was driving.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, then she was at the beach.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Then y'll both don't care. Because my theory was there's
in every relationship there's one person who's the same person
that like preps for things, and then the other person
just does not care at all.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Oh she she's the prepper. I'm more like, less's rough
it out. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
She will prep you and she'll save your life. Thank
her for that.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I won't wear a helmet though.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Call the show. Who's like this in your house? Are
you the prepper? Are you the not care person? Eight
three three five oh one BAMA is the number you were.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Listening to the Alabama Show on dement.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Eight three three five oh one, BAMA is the number Andrew,
Good morning. During the storms. Are you the person that
preps for it and hides in the closet or do
you go outside and look for the tornado? Oh? I
was outside in it.

Speaker 7 (14:57):
My neighbors got me on the ring Goldbo camera.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
Then it did me about nine o'clock at night.

Speaker 7 (15:02):
I got here in my boxes looking for it.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I love you.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
Oh, I was full blown cousin Eddie out here looking around.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
I love you. Thank you for calling.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
I'm gonna give it some of that hell yea brother.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Eight three three five o one BAMA is the number
of Monica. Good morning. Are you the storm prepper? Are
you the person who will go outside and chase it?

Speaker 5 (15:27):
I am the prepper.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
How how was your weekend this weekend? What all did
you do?

Speaker 7 (15:32):
It was high anxiety?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Oh yeah, after all the storms had passed. I was
so exhausted just because I had been so stressed out
all day. Was that you did you just crash?

Speaker 7 (15:42):
Absolutely? Yeah I did. I was so exhausted.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Send me out there with a radar. I'm ready to
go top it.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
How how are the other people in your house. Was
everybody else just kind of like it's no big deal
or were they on the same page.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
When the storm started coming towards us. My husband started
getting nervous, but it's up to that point. He's watching
the basketball game. It's just like, well, if it's my time,
it's my time. Whatever.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, I am not like, this is not my time.
I don't want to go. Let me live. Keep the
tornado one exactly.

Speaker 7 (16:13):
I'm in there making my bug out bag, put all
my jewelry in it, and I said I would be
like my mom, I'm going out with my diamond rings
and my necklaces and stuff.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh I love you, Monica. You're so great. Thank you
for calling the show.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
