Speaker 4 (01:00):
There's two things wrong with that statement. One, I could
never be a princess. Two, you're not a princess.

Yes, say, I'm not light nor one of my dwarfs.
Speaker 4 (01:08):

rhymes with beth, stealing a tour train and picking up riders.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
This man went through a whole day of events in
twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Guess where this happened.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Florida.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Yes, he's definitely a Florida man. It was his fifty
seventh birthday. He went to one of these like it's
like a very popular tour train in Florida. He walked
in and said, Hey, I used to work here three
years ago. Can I have a tour of the train And.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
The employee was like yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
And he gets in the train just drives off with it,
steals it, and the employee was like, what is happening.
They call the cops and they were tracking it with
the GPS. He had left his Kia there in the
parking lot, still running blasting rock music.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
According to the arrest report.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
And by the time the cops had picked him up,
he had two random passengers on the train and he
was like, it's my birthday.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
How do you.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Oh, it's super easy trivia with the Yella Mama Show Today.
Producer Blake, you are the contestant.
Speaker 4 (02:41):

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Wait a second, all right, I'm here, all right, super
easy trivia.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Question number one. Are you ready? It's all Disney theme today.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 5 (02:54):

Speaker 6 (03:02):
What kind of elephant is Dumbo? I don't know, baby,
Wait no, I've wrote it wrong. What kind of animal

Speaker 4 (03:13):

Speaker 1 (03:13):
The answer is elephant. It's too early, Okay. What color

Speaker 7 (03:41):
Three things you need to know the eleow There's a
Shelby County woman raising money for commercial fans at the
Humane Society. Kendall Lee Cash, She's What's Awesome Today, wants
to make sure that the dogs stay cool because it's
super hot outside and when she went she noticed it
was really hot. So because the building is owned by
the county, they had to get the fundraiser approved and
(04:04):
it is if you would like to donate the link
at WBrC dot com. Shandity Combs is going to be
sentenced on October third, after the prosecution and defense come
to an agreement.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
They had a meeting. We don't know what's going to
happen if you missed it. Colmbs was found guilty on
two of his charges and acquitted.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Of two of the worst charges. So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
And now you should officially real soon not have to
take your shoes off at the airport anymore after nearly
two decades. TSA has sent an internal memo to security
officers about testing the new policy in a soft launch.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
At security checkpoints. I love this.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
I hate taking off my shoes every time I fly.
Several of the locations right now where shoes are no
longer needed to come off are going to be at
the Baltimore Washington International Airport, New York, LAX and Fort Lauderdale.
Are things you need to know more at Thealabama Show
dot com.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
The Alabama Show onto me.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
It's free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Kayla, good morning.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
What's your issue for Ask Alabama.
Speaker 8 (05:11):
I need my neighbor to move her farm stand because
people are stealing from my garden.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Okay, that's how we do Ask Alabama. We do our
very best to help. Eight three three five I one
Bama is the number if you want a weigh in.
Speaker 9 (05:26):
What's going on with the farm stand and people stealing
from your garden?
Speaker 8 (05:29):
Okay, So before you say, like build a fence, no,
because we can't afford it.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Okay, what's going on with your neighbor in the farm stand?
Speaker 8 (05:39):
So yeah, my neighbors set up this farm stand where
people can take things that they grow in their garden. Okay,
but the problem is now people are coming into my yard.
Oh now actually pick things.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
What are they there?
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Are they picking like your tomatoes?
Speaker 8 (05:59):
Yes? Yes, yes, yes, all of it? And I've put
signs up not to do it.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I did put this.
Speaker 8 (06:07):
Like rabbit sense around the garden. I put a tarp
up where you can't even really see my garden from
the road, and believe it or not, people are still
walking over and picking things.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
From it would be so mad. Have you said anything
to your neighbor about it?
Speaker 8 (06:26):
Of course I have. I ended up talking to her
about it and asked if you know they could move
it to maybe the other side of the driveway, or
put up signs telling people not to not to pick
from my garden, like do something.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
What did they say? She says?
Speaker 8 (06:46):
Can you really not afford to share?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Hell?
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Like you?
Speaker 8 (06:52):
I told her that they aren't taking my zacini because
they are starving. They are just being greedy.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Oh my god, I don't.
Speaker 8 (07:02):
Know what to do. Last night, a man in his
fifties started picking from my garden and I basically sprayed
it with a hose. I'd lost my limb, I got
my limit. I don't have my limit.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
No, he do like you sprayed him with the water.
Speaker 8 (07:17):
House sprayed him with the water. He starts yelling at me.
The neighbor comes out, Then she starts yelling at me.
And now they're basically like posting about me in our
neighborhood facebook page as if I'm the one doing anything wrong.
I just I feel like I'm losing my mind here
and am I wrong for being upset?
Speaker 5 (07:38):
I tell you what it has taken me three years
to be able to grow one cucumber. And if somebody
else comes and picks my damn cucumber I'm spraying them
with the water hose too. That would make me so mad, Like,
what do you think I mean?
Speaker 4 (07:51):
When I was a kid, me and my cousins would
always just go take tomatoes, potatoes. We just think it
out the neighbor's yard.
Speaker 8 (07:57):
Are you kidding? Like, like that's my parenting.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
That's not good things to cheap pay.
Speaker 8 (08:05):
I'm sorry. Maybe times were different, but this is twenty
twenty five and we do not take things from other people.
I'm sorry. I'm not growing a garden to share it
with other people?
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Are expensive?
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Share gets the hose again, Greenly call the show.
Speaker 5 (08:20):

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Two teenagers saved a woman who flipped her writing lawnmower
and got pinned under it.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
This is my worst nightmare.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
These kids are our actual heroes.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
A seventy two year old woman in Montana got pinned
under her riding I swear this is my worst nightmare.
When I'm cutting grass near my pond at my house,
I'm always like, oh, please, don't run into the water.
Two fourteen year old boys saved her life. She got
pinned under the side, not the blades. It took five
people to lift it off. She spent four days in
the hospital with a bruised rib cage. But she's okay.
(13:23):
Here's the woman and one of the boys that saved
her talking about it.
Speaker 11 (13:27):
I went down several feet, but the rock stopped the
lawnmower from going the rest of the way, so it
just rolled over on its side and I was trapped
underneath it, and we figure. I was there for about
four hours.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Oh.
Speaker 11 (13:40):
I thought I was on my last breath, and then
I saw my heroes home.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
So I was basically telling her, you're not gonna die,
You're gonna stay with us. I feel like there was
some sort of divine intervention to make me look at
that hillside and see her.
Speaker 11 (13:58):
They will be with me for the rest of my life.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh cute.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
That is so awesome.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
She's their new honorary grandma.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
I really appreciate these kids. That is awesome.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (14:08):

not ruin it. All right, I am Alabama. Thanks for
listening to The Alabama Show.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Producer Blake hates it because I'm always talking about animals
every day.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I can't help it.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
They find me, they get rescued.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
I'm gonna start an animal rescue anyway. There's a kitten.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Have you seen the picture of it. It's so cute.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Yeah, my friend's kid, who also loves animals, rescued her
first animal.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
And of course they call me.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
And they bring it to my house because I'm the
resident animal rescuer, and so I was like, fine, bring
it to me. And they have a twenty minute drive
from the time they found this kid, which is the cutest.
Speaker 9 (15:01):
Little orange kitten ever, little stray cat, from the twenty
minutes that they found it to when they got to
my house.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
The kid comes out, you know, the kid, Mattie. She
was here for Camp Chaos. Yes, Maddie comes running out
of the car and she goes, look, it's Mango. That's
the best name for an orange cat ever. She named
it Mango.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I don't understand. I love it. It's a decent name.
It's perfect. How do you always come and contacted these animals.
It's a new one every day. I don't know.
Speaker 9 (15:42):
I've let her name my chickens before. She named one
beef chirpie. I know, so here, I know, but kids
come up with the best.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Pet names ever. When I start an animal rescue, I'm
letting her name all the animals. But I want you

Speaker 11 (16:27):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
I like Hank, and then rowdy. But my dad named
Rowdy rowdy because he was rowdy. No, it was a
she and she was getting rowdy.
