to name the kitten mallow?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
We've named him mallow problem. It's three things you need
to know. The Element Show, we have a local thirteen
year old who's in the Marvel and Disney series Ironheart.
Did you know this? I have seen this yet, but
Elise Lewis. She is thirty ten years old from Alabaster.
She plays the younger version of the main character in Ironheart,
(04:05):
So keep a look out for her. That's awesome. Yeah,
she's on the rise. There's a new app that's going
to help you lower the cost of your wedding by
selling tickets to your wedding gets a concert. You tell me,
I can sell tickets to my wedding, Yes, but not
to your friends and family. They still get to come
for free. The app hires strangers like it pay strangers
(04:25):
can buy tickets to your wedding and be wedding crashers
and mingle with your guests. But it gives you money
for the wedding and they it costs like one hundred
to two hundred dollars per ticket, and you choose how
many tickets you want to sell. Let's take it off
in Europe right now, it's coming over to America. Well,
I'm guess I'm wating to get married. Woo. McDonald's just
launched a new McDonald land meal. So McDonald Land was
(04:47):
the fictional McDonald's universe, and now you can get an
all new, limited edition Mount McDonald Land Shake, which is
a nod to the Mount McDonald land volcano. So it's
got blue lava and pink clouds. The flavor is a
until you try it. Also, you get a choice of
a quarter pounder with cheese or a ten piece chicken
McNuggets and fries, and a first of it's kind collectible
(05:08):

at the Alabama Show dot com.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
You were listening to the Alabama Show to man, I
guarantee you I have the best neighbors in the entire world.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
And if you think you have better ones, I want
you to call the show. Eight three three five h one.
Bama is the number. Hi, I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
Let me tell you what happened yesterday. So yesterday, I'm
trying to refinance my house. Yeah, and I had a
guy come out for an appraisal, and because of the
type of loan that I'm getting, he was walking around
(05:47):
and there's like a guest trailer at my house. Yeah,
it's got two doors, and he goes, if you want
to get approved for this, you need stairs at this door.
There were no stairs. And I was like, okay, so
what do I do? Just build the stairs and then
have you come back and check it. He goes, or
if you can get it built in twenty four hours
and send me a picture of it, you won't get
(06:09):
charged three hundred dollars for me to come back. I
was like, challenge accepted. I know a redneck around here somewhere.
I'll go buy the stuff to build stairs. Because you
used to work at home depot. Can't get the stuff
pre cut there. Yeah, if you want. So. I was
on a mission impossible yesterday. I was like Tom Cruise
and I was like, wait a minute, my neighbor can
(06:31):
build stuff. So I go flying down to his house
in my car and I was like, hey, can we
build some stairs. He's like yeah, And we start going
through my scrap wood and then we start going through
his scrap wood, and then his wife is like, wait
a minute. We have some old stairs that we took down.
She was like, you just need them for a picture.
(06:51):
You don't need them to work. I was like absolutely,
So we in one and a half hours. In one
hour and a half, it needed a rail, we needed stairs.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Yeah, we pieced together the most redneck useful stars.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Gosh, I'm showing producer Blake a picture that is probably
the most homemade, like cheap staircase.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
They're crooked we put because she was like, he just
needs a picture, right. We used an old ramp that
they had to put at the bottom. It's crooked. We
had to build a new stair.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
From the bottom. I don't know how we did that.
I put a picture of a plant in front of
the stairs so we couldn't see how crooked they are.
I took a picture and send it to him. He
said it looks perfect. He's not coming back out, He
said that'll work.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yes, I say, three hundred dollars, didn't have to spend
any money on wood, and my neighbors.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Built me some stairs in an hour and a half.
Oh my gosh. But I was like, I know they're
going to quit answer in my phone calls because I
always need something from them. Well, do you ever give
them anything besides that animals a good time? You know what,
I'm not gonna ask you no more. Eight three three
five oh one, BEMA is the number? Have you ever
(08:11):
had to get your neighbors to help you do stuff?
Because I feel like I call them all the time
and they're always helping me build stuff at the house.
That's eight three three five oh one two two six two.
You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand. What's
the most you've ever had to do for your neighbors?
Call the show? Eight three three five oh one BAMA
is the number? Andrew, Good morning, Do you have a story.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
I had a neighbor that was very crazy. Everybody would
dodge him. I didn't realize it when I just moved
into the community and stuff would come up missing from
my house, like a broom, my chairs, off the front porch, okay,
off my cushions, off my little stuff. And then one
day all the light bulbs on my front porch come
up missing. Oh no, oh yeah. And he comes over
(08:56):
and he's like, hey, man, can you help me For
a second. He was redictora in his front deck with
my stuff, and they want me to help organize the furniture.
And I was like, there's no way. I was like,
what do you do well my furniture? My guy like,
you need to get my stuff back. He's like, oh,
I'm sorry. It was this your so kids, it was
on my porch, my light bulbs. He's like, well, my
(09:19):
cousin down the street needed something to partake with, so
we stole your light bulbs. Oh my god, you stole
my light bulbs to use the thing. And he's like, yes, yes,
we did. Needless to say, he got reported real quick.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Neighborhood Association did not approve my Ki.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Has said was worth more than those light bulbs, but
I still got mad about the light bulbs.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I love that. Andrew, thank you for calling.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
I'm telling you it's crazy, crazy neighbors.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
is one demand. If you've ever had to go above
and beyond for your neighbors, call the show. I ate
three three five o one because apparently I'm the neighbor
that always asked my neighbors for things, and I had
to have them build me stairs and under two hours yesterday,
and producer Blake, you had a bad neighbor.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Too, I would say, bad neighbors. She just always needed help.
So she would come knock on our door at too
in the morning.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Now that's too far.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
She was a she was up all the time, and
she would go, hey, my vet put down my animal
last week. Can you bury him in my backyard?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Did you have to marry one of our animals. I
wasn't home at the time, so my cousin said, hey,
you know what, I'll handle it. So he goes out
in the backyard and takes like a four foot hole.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Right.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
I think it's a big dog. No, it's a little
like a little miniature dog. And she put it in
a to go box and wrapped it in napkins. Took
yeah McDonald it was like those like white Yeah, and
it was from She said, no, no, we don't need
more details. No, no, no, do you hear get more
(11:04):
details on that? That's what you've had to do for
a neighbor though you had to bury her animal. You said,
the vet said I needed to bury it or they
take care of it. Could you bury it? I said?
I when I get eight three three five one is
the number? What is the craziest thing your neighbors have
ever asked you for help with? That's eight three three
five oh one two two six two. It's three things
(11:27):
you need to know the show. Have you seen any
murals that were just revealed at the Coca Cola Amphitheater.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Not yet.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
No, it is super cool. It was painted by two
local artists and it's like a bunch of Birmingham landmarks.
It's a huge mural and it's painted in the Coca
Cola red color. It looks really good. I do like that.
I mean it's cool. So next time you go to
the Coca Cola Amphitheater, if you go to Teddy Swims,
this weekend. Go look out for it. Costco is telling
(11:54):
a bucket of honey, a bucket of honey, a bucket
of honey. And this is gone viral because somebody posted
a picture of it on Reddit. It's a sixty pound
bucket for one hundred and fourteen dollars sixty pounds, and
somebody on Reddit coz Winnie the Pooh has just entered
the chat. I'll laugh. What do you do you use
(12:15):
that much honey for? I'm sure they're not all good
like there. Oh my god, I don't know. But if
you need sixty pounds of honey, Costco sells it. And
now the whole world is excited about it, so they's

on the highway last week next to his little kitten
brother who didn't make it, which makes it already sad.
(13:44):
Somebody dumped him and she brought him home and her
husband said she couldn't keep it and he was going
to take him to the pound, and I was like,
you can't take him to the pound. So I got
