Speaker 1 (00:00):
Stirring the pot one morning at a time. Welcome, Welcome
through the Alabama Show.
Speaker 2 (00:15):

we should have music.
Speaker 3 (00:20):

Speaker 4 (00:22):
And yeah, I still don't know how to.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Feel so we.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I mean, obviously something major happened that affected the whole country.
We've seen it on social media everywhere. Charlie Kirk yesterday
got shot in Utah. People on social media are real
worked up about a lot of things and seeing a
lot of fights. So it doesn't feel right to do
a lot of the normal stuff we do on the show.
(00:49):
And it's hard for us as a radio person.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I don't know. I've been doing radio for a while.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I don't know if you have had to do a
show when a major event like this has happened.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
But it's very.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
For us on the air, hard to navigate. But we
still our job is to be here for you in
the community, and you can call and you can talk
in all morning or you can talk to us about
it all morning long. Eight three three five oh one,
Bama producer Blake. Though we're keeping up to date with
some of the most with all the updates because as
(01:21):
we're waking up, we're finding more. So what's some of
the Do we know anything about the shooter yet?
Speaker 4 (01:26):
So right now they have. They detained two yesterday, okay,
but they were let go after questioning because they do
not have any evidence that they actually did it.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
So we don't know anything about the shooter yet, not
for sure. No, as we find out, we will do
our best to keep you up to date with the
news as the show goes on this morning. Thank you
for being here. Call the show if you want to
talk about it. Eight three three five oh one Bama
is the number in.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
A respectful way because that is still the rule.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
We respect each other and we all love each other,
and we respect our opinions. That's eight three three five
one two two six two.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's what the hell headlines? What the hell are you
talking about?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
On the Alabama Show.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
KFC is releasing an official line of jelly beans.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Why like fried chicken or the sauces.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Oh yeah, those are the flavors. Here are the flavors.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
So the jelly beans, they're gonna be released for Easter,
So you still got to wait a little bit. This
is not a bean boozled trick for Halloween. Each bag
has three flavors, fried chicken, sweet corn, and gravy.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Are we gonna try them all?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Yeah, you know it's gonna happen on the show. Bet
you gotta wait till Easter. It's three things you need
to know with the Alama Show.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Uber is planning to add helicopter rides through a partnership.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
With Joby Aviation. I'm awesome. Would it be to be
like Uber come pick me up in a helicopter?
Speaker 4 (02:55):
I thought they were already doing this. I must be behind.
I thought they were.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
They announced it it could start as early as twenty
twenty six. They said it's the next generation of travel,
and they promise to reveal more booking details.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Closer to launch.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Obviously, you know it's gonna happen in the bigger cities
like New York.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Can La.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Probably not here, but if it happens here, I got
a big enough yard for a helicopter pad.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
That would be so cool. The story's for you.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Producer Blake Okay. Tom Holland just did an interview with Esquire.
How many times do you think he gets a new
Spider Man suit while filming the movie?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Three?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
He gets a new one every two weeks because it
gets too musty. Oh yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
I believe that.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yeah, which makes me wonder, like do other superheroes when
they're filming getting new suits?
Speaker 3 (03:40):
And how much money are they spending them?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Because like Batman, all the Batman movies, could you imagine?
Speaker 4 (03:45):
I think they build them out of different material because.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Of what it is. Yeah, Like his is more.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Spandex like on him, while the other suits are more
like leather. I guess I don't know how that works.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Every two weeks, Tom Holland gets a new one. There's
what we do know so far.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
For Charlie Kirk who got shot yesterday, people are murdered, assassinated,
there's so many words.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
He got shot yesterday.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
At an event in Utah. As far as we know,
the shooter is still at large. There was a suspect
in custody. You said there were two. There were two
that they got yesterday, but they did not stay.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
After questioning, they were released.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
There is a man hunt underway who is believed to
have fired once from a nearby roof. I'm starting to
see photos on social media.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Because here's the thing. When you're at a college.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Campus, everybody's got their phone out. I mean there's videos everywhere.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Well, these events also are meant to be recorded for
people to presigned, like for the debates, and then this
is just what's become of it.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Absolutely, So the FBI is asking anybody with photos or
videos to come forward.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
It's just a it's.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Sad to see how divided everybody in our country is today.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
But we will keep you updated as we find out more.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
That's three things you need to know more at the
Alabama Show dot com, The Alabama Show.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
On to me in It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Today is just one of those.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
It's such a hard day because we had such a
major event that happened in our country that's going to
affect everybody.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I mean, it already has. Charlie Kirk if you.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Missed it got shot yesterday at an event in Utah.
Charlie Kirk if you did. Because I didn't know who
he was. He is a right wing what exactly?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
So he was a right wing son would say commentator,
but he would go to colleges and debate with students
or teachers, okay.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Just anybody in the community.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
He would be like, come out talk to him, like
let's have questions about how to move forward.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Ask me questions about anything.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, he would answer it with statistics and say he
didn't go in and he would anytime he would preface anything,
he'd be like, my opinion is or this is my belief.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
So he stood on what he believed and his opinions.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
So what is so crazy is yesterday his wife and
his two kids were there. And this is the thing
I'm seeing so many people on social media.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I'm gonna have to mute.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Social media today because I see people that I love
say some really dumb things. And it's on both sides
of the spectrum. Whatever your political beliefs are, I don't care.
But there are people who are saying things like they're
glad he was shot. And the sad thing is is
(06:35):
his wife and his two daughters were there. And his
daughters they're young, but when they get older, there's videos
of this on the internet. They're gonna see it, and
what a horrific way to see somebody you love pass away.
And then there's people on the other side of it.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
I'll be honest.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yesterday there were people who were on TikTok blaming the
media for what happened, and we're media and never do
we ever talk politics, Like we just want.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
To do a radio show where we have fun. And
I was scared yesterday.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
I was like, oh my god, I'm media, Like, who's
what's going to happen?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
This to me is one of the hardest things to
explain when yesterday people were asking me, it's like, how
do you feel about this? I'm like, being a media
person is scary right now because it's we may not
have as strong opinions as a political show.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
We because we're not a political show. We're a fun show.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
And now we're being forced to talk about but stuff
that's happening right now.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
But the scary thing is what if our opinion just
irritates the wrong person? Like this is a to me,
a big freedom of speech issue, Like we don't have
that freedom anymore because now we have to be in
fear that somebody's going to be upset with us.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Right And the thing is, I really believe there are
so many people divided online and I think that's what
the shooter wanted was to divide our country. To divide
our country, and now is the time for us to
be united.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
So if you're listening.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
To the show, whatever you're feeling, whatever you're thinking in
parents that are driving their kids to school right now,
having to talk to your kids about it and having
to explain it to your kids, call in eight three
three five oh one, Bama.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
How are you dealing with that today? And we are
here for you if you want to call in eight
three three five oh one two two six two The.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Eight three three five oh one, Bama is the number
to call the show if you want to talk Chris,
good morning. Are you calm to talk about what's going
on with the country today?
Speaker 1 (08:42):
It's a really rough time and it's a really sort
of scary sign of where things are.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
You know, it hasn't come out.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yet who the shooter is or what their motivations are,
but it looks like, you know, it should very well
be a political thing based on who he was and
where it took place, and that's really scary.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Oh yeah, And I really think when stuff like this
that happens in our country, it gets us all fighting
and focusing on one thing and somebody's over somewhere else,
Like what is what are we being distracted from?
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Is what I always wonder And.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
No matter whenever there's something like this, no matter how
you feel about the victim or the person or.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Their politics, you know that's not the way we do
things here, right. You know, it's.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Ultimately an un American thing.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
And I think that's the thing that we have to
keep in.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Mind, that that's not the way that we settle.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Our disputes individually are as a country. And that's what
we need to remember.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Absolutely, Chris, thank you so much for calling sure, And
what I.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Did want to say is that I know this is
really hard for you guys because you have to not
only navigate your own feelings about the situation, but you
then have to figure out what to do with your
show and to be there for other people.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, this to me is the core of what radio
is really great at, you know, being there for people
as a constant and a safe space. So thank y'all
for what you'll do, and you're doing a great job.

lives and I cannot be more for Look.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I love that and I always tell people who are
going through sobriety. You know, I lost my mother to addiction,
