Speaker 1 (00:04):
Today, the Commander has traded Brian Robinson to San Francisco
for a six round draft pick next year. Robinson has
not played in this last game and they could not
come up with the contract deal, so it's up to
San Francisco to figure it out. That means Austin Eckler
starts at running back for the Commanders. I think this
is a good move for the forty nine ers because

(00:29):
one of it does two things. The first thing it
does is it gives you insurance if Christian McCafferty goes
down again and he's been injured the last year or two.
But it also allows you to play Robinson and maybe
rest McCaffrey more so that you don't have as much
opportunity for him to be injured. My concern about the
forty nine ers as they've lost too much. They are

(00:52):
not going to have Brandon i Huk until week six.
They lost Ebo. Samuel Kittles is still there, but I
think there is he's going to become the next you know,
Jason Witt and he's going to get thrown to fifty
times a game. And while McCaffrey and now robinsoner decent
running backs, one of them has been hurt and is
coming off injury, and the offensive line isn't as good

(01:14):
as it was. But one of the things that and
I got to figure out where I'm putting the forty
nine ers in the pecking order in the West, because
for most of the last several weeks I've had them
last I'm very concerned about the Rams and what Matt
Stafford's back situation is and if he's going to be
able to start the season and make any kind of
an impact during the season. But I do think that

(01:36):
I don't know that much. I don't have that much
confidence in Seattle and Arizona either, So it's kind of
a division that maybe eight or nine wins wins the division.
So we'll see what this does. But I do think
Brian Robinson going to San Francisco helps the forty nine
ers have depth at running back.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
First off, if if mas Steffan misses any missing any
significant time, all they're going to do is send it
to send a couple of draft picks to Atlanta for
Kirk Cousins. But what Brian Robinson does for San Francisco
is it gives him insurance because you have thirty year
old Christian McCaffrey coming off an injury, and even though
show flash runbacks are low, what he's gonna do is
basically go what he'd do what he did in Washington
and supplement the quick pass guy, the speedy guy in

(02:11):
the backfield instead of being the primary back.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So do you really think Kirk Cousins would work in
Sean mcvay's offense as well as as Stafford does.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I think you could take a one armed Tim Tebow
and stim mcvay's offense and it would work. He's that
good of a good offensive innovator and quarterback.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I just think Stafford is one of the most underrated
players in the last two decades. And if he hadn't
toiled in Detroit all those years, we'd have known how
good he was. All Right, pros and cons to the
SEC schedule. Coming up next, it's The Indy Everett Show
on the difference
