The Clippers stay alive & the Knicks knock off the Pistons.

Let's get into some basketball games from last night. We'll
talk more about Pop here in just a little bit.
He retired today if you have not heard. And let's
get into the Clippers forcing game seven. Denver made a
nice comeback at the end, but they had too big
of a hill to climb. I think that the Game

are always amazing, Yeah, but well, sometimes somebody blows the
other team out. But I think Denver I'm I want
Denver to win. I don't want the fighting James Harden's
to go any further than they already have, but I
think Denver will win. Joki is as good a player
as there is in basketball right now. I think there's

some weaknesses on both teams, but it's going to take
a monster game from Kawhi Leonard. But last night, the
Clippers were able to get enough separation and make sure
that Denver's rally was going to come up short.

Well, I think the one thing you don't have to
worry about is because he's already done it twice this
or or at least once. With it being game seven,
James Harden will won't won't show up because you know,
that's what James Harden does. He doesn't show up when
the team needs him. He doesn't show up. He showed
up last night, he didn't show up in Game five.

So you know, if you're just playing the odds, he's
not gonna show up. He'll he'll he'll pull a Karl
Anthony Towns and probably have ten points and then Nicola
Jokic will probably drop thirty and you know, the the
Nuggets will probably win by by twenty.

Detroit's not a young team on paper, but they are
a young team in terms of being in the NBA
playoffs for the first time that mattered in a while.

There in their inexperience of being in the pressure of
a playoff series last night when when Jalen Brunson was
able to bring them back and then at the end
of the game they.

tie the game or not, but New York was able
to come back and win that game. New York I
think is going to have a but they may get
swept by Boston. I just don't think the Knicks have
enough firepower, but they were able to get past the Pistons,
and the Pistons are very much like the Rockets are
this year, or the Oklahoma City was a couple of
years ago, or Minnesota was a few years ago. They're

learning how to play in the playoffs, and they'll learn
from this and they'll probably get better.

But right now, the Knicks were the better team.

I just think there's really only two teams in the
East that are capable of getting any further than where
they're at, and that's Cleveland and Boston. I think Cleveland
has the edge. They're just as good a team. Boston
relies so much on the three pointer that it's sometimes
very difficult to make a big splash if you're having
a bad day shooting the basketball. So anyway, Runson in

the next advance. But I don't see them going any
further than this.

If they're lucky to get to a game five, then
they should they should raise a banner. They should do
like the Indianapolis Colts do when they they win like

as purgatory with the Washingtons. Detroit was right there to Andy.
You know, Detroit was lucky to win twenty games and
to go from seventeen I think sixteen or seventeen to
forty four.

That is a I'm Detroit basketball back to a certain
extent for sure. Tonight the Rockets take on the Warriors,
and I'm hoping the Warriors finish this off.

I know you want the Rockets still in, but I
don't think Golden See Golden.

State Minnesota is going to If that happens, that's going
to be a great series. I think that's a seven
game series. I don't I think that's probably five.

And you think Minnesota's going to be Golden State that.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Easily Minnesota is, Well, here's the thing, Minnesota's younger and
they have more weapon It depends on the Butler's rear
end how well his hip is.

If Butler again, Butler and Curry have to score seventy
five eighty points, that's given, But I don't know that
they can't keep doing that, and they're just going to
keep shooting the basketball till they get to that number,
and everybody else is going to have to get theirs.
I was not surprised that Houston beat them in Game
five the other night. I think Houston will play really well.
I think it's going to be a close game. But

Steph Curry is Steph Curry, and he's that baby face
assassin that we all either love or hate, and I
think he's going to have another big game, and how
Butler plays will be there will predicate the rest of
the outcome.

I just think Houston versus Minnesota would be a more entertaining,
an interesting matchup just because you have a little bit
more matchup wise.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
It doesn't matter Oklahoma City's winning the last anyway. Sure, probably, yeah,
more than likely. It's just it's just, you know, fodder
until we get to the to what matters the most.

I just want the Warriors to get knocked out so
we can sit here and just laugh at James at
Jimmy Butler and say, oh, how about your joy?

that we're in Golden State instead of in Miami.
