Andy Every Show. All right, we've made it to Friday,
and I haven't been in the chair on Friday lately
because there's been travel and football games and basketball games
and all kinds of weird things happening on Fridays. But

(00:41):
we have a Friday show for you, and a full
three hours of a Friday show.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Are we have three all three hours tonight? All three hours?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
No, we have football. Don't we have a football game
at six o'clock or something?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
No, we have the the Texas Coaches Show.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Right, all right, so we're here for all three hours today. Awesome, awesome,
all right, good deal.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
So we got plenty of stuff to get to and
we're gonna try to get to all of it in
the next three hours. How about the Houston Texans and
their defense last night?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
How about it?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
I'm one up now for the week on the on
the football picks, he took Buffalo, I got, I had Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
I did take Buffalo, but it's not because I wasn't
impressed with the Texans defense. You and I talked about
it a little bit in our pick segment on Wednesday.
Houston has the number one still overall and scoring defense.
It's very hard to do both because you have to
both hold teams to low yardage and low points at
the same time, and go up against a Buffalo team
which you know to to their credit, Josh Allen is
still playing at an MVP level. The offensive line didn't

(01:35):
look all that great, and you can't rely too much
on James Cook to consistently be that be your guys.
Teams are gonna start keying up on him and Keyon Coleman,
their second round wide receiver out of four state last year.
He won was once again inactive for discipline areasons.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
And it's listen.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
If you're gonna play in the NFL, and especially if
you're gonna play for a playoff team, super Bowl contender,
like Buffalo, you.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Got you got to grow up, We've got to rely
on you.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
And I understand that there's a lot of really talented
football players in the world that don't ever grow up.
And there's a lot of really talented people in general
at whatever job they do, but they're constantly not on time.
They constantly break all the rules. They constantly perform at
a level that may be up to their standard, but
because it's not to the standard of the group, it

(02:24):
brings the group down. It is a you know, all
walks of life have this, but it's exacerbated more because
we see this in football. I don't know what Keon
Coleman's problem is, other than my guess is he is
incredibly selfish and incredibly immature. And the Buffalo Bills drafted
him seeing all this talent in the world and a

(02:46):
deep ball threat that can get open and can get
separations so Josh Allen can throw passes prote Yeah, he's
got all the accolades, but he basically decides he's going
to beat to his own drum and do whatever he wants,
regardless of how it helped him or the team.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
And that's just not gonna fly. No, it's not.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
And the reality is is that like without Keyon Coleman there,
Keon Coleman was still this team's second third option anyway,
Khali Shakur, they gave him a modest extension, so you
know he was gonna be a big target. Dalton Connect
the guy that or sorry, Dalton Kin k Yeah, a
guy I know that you really like that at Utah
the tight end, He's obviously gonna be their number one guy.
But the offense right now for Buffalo it is kind

(03:24):
of underwhelming.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Now.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
We talked about it a little bit in before the
show that even still if they were to make the
playoffs right now as a wild card, because New England
would obviously own the division lead, I wouldn't put a
pass and to make a run for a couple of reasons.
Kansas City likely won't be there at this rate, which
means you don't have to go through Kansas City anymore.
And number two, and we mentioned this I think on Monday,
about how in the playoffs it ain't always the best

(03:48):
teams record wise that win it all. Like right now,
it would be the Coals or the Patriots had the
best record. You want to go with teams that have
experienced coaches, experienced players, and experienced quarterbacks in the playoffs
right now, that would be teams like Denver, that be
teams like like Buffalo. Obviously I wouldn't put past them,
that would honestly if they keep on this run. The
Texans also have experience in that in that in that
realm as well. So right now Buffalo is definitely not

(04:10):
out of it. But the Houston Texans with this winning streak,
they are very much a threat, yeah, to make at
least make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Well, their schedule does step and they've got to play
the Colts twice. They still have to play I think
they played Kansas City in December.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Again, Like, do we consider Kansasy that much a threat?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Because, well, we're gonna find out whether Kansas City is
a threat this week or not.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
If Kansas City beats Indianapolis, they're a threat. If they
go to five and six, Uh, start planning for twenty
twenty six, because they're not even going to make the
playoffs on three.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, it's it's and it's time.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
It's time to start finding out what young players can
play so that you can build your roster. But you know,
I think Kansas City got behind the eight ball early
with the with the ear injuries, with Rashie Rice's behavior
in Dallas prevented him from starting the season on time.
He's a big part of that. They've had injuries at
running back. I think they need to get better then
Kareem Hunt and Pa Checko's okay, he keeps getting hurt,

(05:05):
but he gets he gives getting hurt too. They need
a bigger and more durable back. There's a lot of
things that Kansas City can work on, uh and get
ready for next year. But I'm my first thought is
is if they can if they can beat the they have,
it's they have the Colts this weekend. If they can
beat the Colts at home, then that's an opportunity for
them to get to six and five and see if
they can make a wild card run.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
It's also a short week for them too, because they
got the Colts of that night Cowboys and they got
the Cowboys on Thursday. Yeah, and that we'll tompaired that
the Cowboys at the same time frame and all that.
But right now, that to your point, and you touched
on it a little bit because right now the Chiefs
they have what you would say are reliable weapons right
on the outside of receivers. They don't have, like I
would say, a pure threat, which is fine because if

(05:47):
you have a quarterback like the Homes, you can get
away with that. But if you don't have a running game,
even though I'm someone who says you don't need to
always have a running game, if you don't have the
least the threat of it, that is going to make
a one dimensional offense, no matter how skilled vulnerable.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
All Right, the Spurs won last night over Atlanta. Got
to see former roadrunner Keaton Wallace performed last night for
twelve minutes.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Wish you had gotten more minutes.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I watched basically enough to see that the Spurs were
going to win the game, and he wasn't going to
play very much. Uh, And I kind of was going
back and forth between the basketball game and the football game.
And it takes a while to get from one to
the other when one's on the streaming service and one's
on on the internet Prime, well it was on well
what was on Prime, and and the other one's on

(06:32):
basically cable, but it's the Internet version of cable, so
you're you have to switch to this and scroll over
to that. You can't just push a button and flip
it back and forth. But anyway, the Spurs played well
last night. We're going to get to that coming up here,
and just a little bit as well.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Uh, And.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
The Spurs go on a road trip and at eleven
and four, they're in fifth place right now. This road
trip's a really big one. I think they've got a
couple of really winnable games on it with I think
it's Portland is on that trip in Phoenix and also
and then they finish up with Minnesota and Denver, so
that's gonna and I think there's another team in there
as well.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
But those are the four games and the road trip.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
But they also like in the next week, they have
two out of the three in that following week are
on the road as well, So six out of the
next seven are all gonna be on the road. But
what I've liked about these last two games, and Andy,
I don't know how if you've seen something different.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
I mean, you've covered basketball longer than I have.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
But what you like about this team is that it's
not just that it's not just they have a reliance
on their depth to play without some of their better players.
It's that the way they step up and extended minutes
really shows the true depth of this team.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Well, I've said this a long time about depth, and
it's great to have it. And I'm gonna talk more
about that depth because David Jones Garcia is getting a
lot of run, as he should. Yes, but when all
the guys come back and they're fully healthy, David Jones
Garcia's minutes are gonna be some severely restricted. There's just
no place to play. He's a guard, and you've got

(07:59):
three guards that are hurt, and when those are two
guards that are hurt, and when those two guards come back.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
But what you like.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Is is that David Jones Garcia did what he did
last night, which is similar to what those guys would
have done had they been there. And if you can
get production from those people, that's that's really good. The
chances are that he won't have was a twelve last night,
twelve points. He at twelve point in ninettes. He won't
play that way every game that he's asked to play.

(08:25):
I hope he does, and he hopes he does, and
every game he plays is not only an audition, an
audition for more minutes is an audition for other teams
that may want him. I saw some rumor where he
could potentially go back to go to Europe or back
to Europe and make several hundred thousand dollars, and that
could be an option for him too. Typically, when you
have three stars like the Spurs have out, the three

(08:48):
people that replace them can do this. Occasionally, they can't
just do it as efficiently and as often as the
three stars who are out, Otherwise they'd be stars somewhere else.
So we'll get into that coming up. We have another
gambling deal going on. Nobody's done anything bad because we well,
we already knew that the Heisier Miller, the former point
guard of Temple, was shaving points, and we'll tell you
about They basically have discovered that that's the case, and

(09:12):
the reason you haven't seen him play college basketball for
the last two years is because of that. But by
five pm today, which is already coming gone because it's
five pm Eastern time. Remember back at the first of
the month when we were supposed to have on November first,
the start of legalized gambling for college employees, coaches, and
players could.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Bet on NFL games.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
It was like a temporary thing, So they did the
temporary restraining order basically thining because the schools wanted to
review it. And in order to get this get the
rules stopped, they needed two hundred and forty one of
the three hundred and sixty one Division one member institutions
to formally say let's stop and think about it, and

(09:54):
so far only one hundred and eighty eight of the
necessary two hundred and forty one are So if in
less than the last few hours they got the additional
schools to say yes to this, the as of tomorrow morning,
you as a athlete or an employee of a school,
can bet on the NFL or the NBA, or the

(10:15):
hockey games or Major League Baseball. You can't bet on
college stuff, but you can bet on professional You can
bet on anything professional. And I think that opens up
way too many kansas and cans of worms that we're
going to get to in a little bit. Hot Stove
League Baseball heating up a former astro is the hottest
free agent out there. As Kyle Tucker looks for a
new home, he could stay with Chicago, but it doesn't

(10:36):
look like that's what's going to happen there.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Is a A two.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
There are two two and eight teams playing each other
on Sunday afternoon. It's the Raiders and the Browns, and
yet the whole world wants to know what Shadoor Sanders.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Is going to do. They called it the toilet Bowl.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
That's as good, But for Shador, it's like, I got
my chance. I'm going to go out and throw for
two seventy five. I'm gonna have a predicting a good game. No,
I'm just saying this is what Schaudor is predicting. I'm
gonna throw for two seventy five. I'm gonna have a
plus ninety percent quarterback rating. I'm gonna complete seventy percent
of my passes and we're gonna win. And think they'll

(11:11):
never not be able to start me after that.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I'm I'll tell you right now, like I think. I mean,
I think we both picked the Browns in this game.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I picked the probably, yeah I did too.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I pick it probably just because the Raiders are terrible,
and I think that if nothing else, the Browns offense,
what they have is they have Quinn Shawn Judkins and
I think a solid offensive line.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I think at least they can move the ball that way.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I don't know what we should I don't know what
we consider fair expectations. For sure is for first start,
I saw somewhere on Twitter. I know you, I know
you love Twitter and all that. Yeah, my fai, I
saw something on there that like, nineteen quarterbacks in a
row that have made their very first shart have lost.
So the shutdoor going would potentially be the twentieth, or
he might be the one that breaks the streak. Now again,

(11:52):
like if you beat the Raiders objectively, you know this
is not someone who hates or loves chaudor like. And
I think you know me enough to know that I
would be fair about Shudre. I think about him is
that if you go out there and you can and
you are at least accurate with the ball, even if
you're only completing five six yards to pass, you know,
very average passes, I think that's enough to beat a

(12:12):
beat up Raiders team objectively.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yeah, I just want to and I'm not gonna I'm
not gonna see it because I'm gonna be on a
plane number one, but I'll see.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
The out of area anyway. Well, who knows what area
it's gonna be. D but they'll have they'll have updates.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I think it's only in Cleveland and Vegas that you
can see the game to begin with.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Well, because the Cowboys games are three thirty our area,
will you only get the one.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Right, You're gonna get that one anyway. We'll get to
we'll get to what Shad do or may may or
may not do. Coming up, some extensions for ads and
a coach that's been given the green light to return
next year.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
We'll tell you about that.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Let's start the show in this next segment with our
discussion on the Texans and their big win last night
against Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
It's the Andy Everage Show. On the tickets
