Several members of the Rangers World Series team will be looking for new teams.

Funny enough, during the Rangers picked a great time to
announce they were trading away gold Glove second baseman Marcus Simeon,
a crucial part of the World Series champion team from
three years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
They announced right deering.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I believe it was still while the Cowboys were down
twenty one to nothing, Rangers make a trade with the Mets,
Brandon Nemo coming to Texas, Marcus Simeon going to New York.
An interesting deal because on the surface, you know, Simon's
getting paid twenty five mili Nemo is only getting twenty.

But Simons got three years on his deal compared to
Nemo's five years. So clearly, yeah, thirty five to thirty
two age wise, So clearly the Rangers are banking on
dealing with the problem of Nemo's money at a later date,
but they're able to shave five five and a half
million off the roster immediately. With that, also the news

of who didn't receive a contract offer. World Series hero
A Dooles Garcia will not be back. Jonaheim, former All
Star catcher, won't be back, as well as Josh Spores,
who recorded the final out on the strikeout in Arizona
for the Rangers in that World Series clinching games.

The most of those three. Oh, it's easily A Dolees.
I mean, there's no question he was definitely like the heart.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, Doles was the you know Doles was even when
even when he was struggling at the plate. Uh, the
energy he brought to every game, even just playing the
field with that kind of energy, you know, that laser
arm ability to cover ground out there in right field.

A Dolees is going to be the one I think
has noticeably missed the most. But it's hard to argue
with the decisions because all together, trading Semion, non tendering
the guys they did, they free up about twenty five
million dollars potentially to dive back into if they choose.
We'll see what they do with the money saved. But

they do open themselves up to some possibilities of getting
better through free agency. It's hard to argue though, because
over the last three years one hundred and fifty five
guys registered enough at bats to qualify. A. Dolees was
second to last, and Jonah was one hundred and forty fifth.
