Speaker 1 (00:03):
I don't know what category to put this under. Maybe
tragic would be a good one to start. The dad
of Jalen Brown of the Boston Celtics was arrested today
because he allegedly murdered someone by stabbing them to death. Yeah,
I all that, I'm not so. I haven't read deep
enough into the story yet to find out exactly what
(00:25):
the scenario was and why this happened, and what potential
motives there were. I can't imagine how Jalen Brown feels
about it. Obviously, we have to have sympathy and remorse
as well for the victim of this crime. And sometimes
it seems like we you have a family that's pretty
(00:46):
much got everything. You've got your child in the in
the NBA, making tons of cash, and but sometimes things
just don't go out work out like you plan for
them too. And I don't know what got into his
dad to do this, but obviously the least believe he did.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah. When I read the story, it sounded like it
was a start off as a misunderstanding about like a
potential like I guess like Ding Dong ditch attempt or
something like that if you ever played that game. But
apparently that the guy said that he that he didn't
do that, and an argument ensued, it got it got
kind of heated, and obviously a Jaylen Brown's dad, who
by the way, I don't you know, there's not he was,
(01:21):
He's a former professional boxer. He overpowered him and then eventually,
you know, led to the stabbing.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
So that will be something that Jalen has to deal
with for a while and obviously a tough situation for
that family and for the family of the victims as well.
All right, Uh, the baseball to the baseball game tonight
in New York. And I don't know why they do this.
They're giving away eighteen thousand bobbleheads tonight at Yankee Stadium
(01:50):
of George Costanza from Seinfeld.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
He used to work for the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, and they did. I think they I did. I
was not a Seinfeld watcher. I did not watch. I can't.
It was just not something I had time for.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
What did you watch, friends? What was your comedy back then?
I got to know, come on, what was your show?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Honestly, I didn't watch a lot of if it wasn't
sports or movies or documentaries, food channel, I didn't watch
a lot of sitcoms. I mean, I go back. You know,
there's I've seen episodes of Seinfeld, and I've seen episodes
of Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends and Cheers, but I
never appointment viewed any of it.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I can't imagine that because I feel like everyone had
that show at a certain point that they just had
to catch up.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that I don't understand.
You're not in the You're not in the minority as
to why people like, really, you didn't watch that? But
I didn't. Uh, And it wasn't that I even knew
that I needed to.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Back in the day I was.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I don't ever remember people coming in, hey did you
did you watch Seinfeld last night?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
When I was in middle school going into high school,
around that time, NBC had what they called their second
Comeback in comedy, and they had this lineup which had Scrubs,
the Office, Parks, and reg thirty Rock and that was
like every.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Thursday that any of it.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I saw the great shows.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
So anyway, they're gonna do George Costan's a Bobblehead Night
at Yankee Stadium and the first eighteen thousand people that
get in the gates are going to get one. So
they've been lined up since like ten o'clock this morning
to get into the stadium, which I think is stupid
to begin with. Why would you go unless you're working
at the game. Now, I know the people that I
work with on the UTSA broadcast. Wonder why I go
(03:24):
to the road Runners games five hours before we go
on the air. If that's a different story I'm working.
Why can't the Yankees just make fifty thousand of them
and give them to everybody. It's not like they can't
afford it. They're the Yankees, for crying out loud as.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Most people want a Kramer bibblehead.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Well, get whatever they want, whatever they get, but you
can get one for everybody. It's like bring in candy
to school. Make sure you got enough for everyone, all right.
Peter Burn's coming up in our next segment. It's the
Andy Everage Show on the tickets
