Speaker 1 (00:06):
Fallout continues from the fact that Shaduar Sanders was not
picked until the fifth round of the draft. And as
I said earlier in the week, I think Chadar has
a chance to have a little bit of a reprieve.
Apparently he went to some school and bought pizza for
the entire school today. So kudos to him for either
doing what he was told to do or suggesting it

(00:26):
to himself to go do it.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
But he has a chance because I think that the.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Browns are going to move off of Shaun Watson as
fast as they possibly can. I was never impressed with
Kenny Pickett when he was at Pittsburgh. Maybe he, you know,
helped Philadelphia a little bit this year when Hurtz needed
a breather. And I don't think Jalen Millrose the answer,
and so Dylan Gabriel, Yeah, Dylan Gabriel is the answer.

(00:54):
Joe Flacco is the starter on day one. There's no
question Joe Flacco can can win you a lot of
football games.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Oh, hold on a lot of.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Well, well, on a good team, he'll Joe Flacco will
help you win four games this year because the rest
of the Browns suck.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
But at some time at some point. I mean, they
ties in there and he's not denying it. Oh here's
the funny thing. So over the so during that, what's
what's the over under on wins this year for the Browns?
Tie six? Okay, yeah, you's going under. Time was sitting
here after got drafted. I'm sitting here texting Time. I'm like,
your Browns are gonna brown and he's trying to sell me.

(01:32):
He's trying to sell me. Hey, sure, it's a it's
a low risk, high reward and I'm like, you've got
five quarterbacks, but but that's fine. Two of them are
going to be there. But by the time July rolls around.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Because okay, Watson's gonna still be technically on the roster
and on the cap because they signed that ridiculous contract
to him, and they still have two years right time, Yeah,
they have two years, but they can years.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
But they can they can get and just eat the cap.
There's just the dead cap money and as soon as
they can. And he's not going to play until at
least Thanksgiving this year, if even then, probably later than that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
The Achilles isn't going to be ready till November December
at the earliest.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
So he's he's done and they're.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Gonna they're gonna move off that contract because they they
don't want that stigma around the organization anymore. It was
a bad deal to begin with, and so Flacco is
the quarterback to kind of teach Shadu or how the
ropes are. But here's my here's my prediction on the Browns.
The Browns will will win a couple of games in
the first half of the season that you go, how
in the world do they win those? And they'll lose
most of the games, even to the teams that are

(02:36):
allegedly not as good as they are or not as
bad as they are. But even it's gonna it's gonna
be like, Okay, they gotta they gotta win against some
easy teams at some point during the season. I'm thinking
four or five wins for the whole year, But somewhere
around November, they're gonna throw Shadour into the fire, just
like they did Michael Pennocks in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
What do you got, Let's see what you can do.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
And they're probably not gonna win games, but if they
like what they see, then he's their quarterback. In twenty
twenty six, and I think if the Browns can move
off of the Watson deal, and I don't see Kenny
Pickt lasting a long time, I don't see Dylan Gabriel
lasting a long time. I think Shouduar has a chance now.
If Shoudur is a bust now, they're starting over again

(03:19):
next year. But they got the guy they wanted. They
paid him a lot less money by not drafting him earlier.
And if he turns out to be great, they got
a great quarterback. They have a first They potentially have
a first round quarterback with fifth round money for the
next four years.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I'd find it. I think it'd be hilarious if Dylan
Gabriel actually winds up winning that job.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I have Well, if Dylan Gabriel wins that job, then
Shaudeur is not an NFL quarterback.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
True, well, he could be a backup quarterback.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
He's not even a backup because because Dylan Gabriel is
not Dylan Gabriel is an Arena League or UFL quarterback.
That's where our Canadian Football League. Dylan Gabriel is not
the answer to your saving the Browns and again or
anybody else.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Why did you draft him in the third round?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Because I guess you figured I should do or might
not be there in the fifth, who knows.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Okay, So I have the opponents. Obviously we don't have
the schedule, but I have the opponents. What was the
over under? Six wins? Six? Yeah? Right, yes, okay, all right,
tell me where there's six wins here? These are all
the home games. Bengals loss, Bills loss, Dolphins win, Packers loss,
Ravens loss, Steelers loss, Titans when I'm okay, So we're

(04:35):
at two Vikings loss. Well, no, I don't like to
like JJ McCarthy's playing quarterback. There's three, but it doesn't matter.
I mean JJ McCarthy is basically the next team, forty
nine ers. Forty forty nine ers be at home. They
have forty nine ers at home at home. That's a
fourth win possibly, Okay, So I think the forty nine
ers are going to be dead last in the West. Okay,

(04:55):
So you have them beating the Vikings and the forty
nine Yeah, so they got four wins. Bears loss. This
is on the road, right, This is all on the road. Yeah,
loss at the Bears, Bengals loss, Jets five, Lions loss,
Patriots loss, Raiders loss, Ravens loss, Steelers loss. They're gonna

(05:18):
win one road game, five wins. Maybe I have more
hope than that. They usually in the AMC North historically.
And then one thing, Kevin Stefanski has the Bengals number.
Bengals have only beaten Stefanski want.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, but the Bengals are going to be really good
as long as Burrow stays up right. If Burrow gets hurt,
then they're not gonna be very good.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Even when they're good. Burrows struggled notoriously against the Browns
for some reason. All right, we'll see what happened. They
got Miles Garrett to chase him down.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
But anyway, but anyway, the Kelsey's waited on this today,
and of course their podcast has to have something to
controversial to talk about, and they talked about this and
they're both like, I don't disagree with them. If Shador
is good, they have a first record back for fifth
round money for four years, and that really if he

(06:04):
is their quarterback for the next ten years, then they
they then they save a lot of money, and they
can put other players around him and he can be
he can be brought party and five years from now
he can be looking at fifty million bucks a year.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yeah, or whatever the number is, then well we'll see
what happens. But for the Kelsey's, it was basically Travis
Kelcey or mister Swift decided to throw the supposed anonymous
sources that were coming out if you want to criticizing
Shaudor and saying, if you're going to say things like this,

(06:39):
put your name to it. Okay, So let's just say
it wasn't just here's the other thing. It wasn't just
one particular person. There were a bunch of scouts and
gms around the league where it started to come out,
and yeah, Sharudor did not do well. He sabotaged himself.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Shoulder had a cockyedst to him that there were teams
he did not want to go to, and he sabotaged
the draft. Yeah, I don't think there's any question about that.
You'll never prove it, but it would not I don't.
I would not put it past thirty two NFL owners
after he was not drafted in the second round, to go, okay, Cleveland,
we're gonna give him to you in the fifth if

(07:21):
you want him. But nobody drafted him in the third
or fourth round.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
I wouldn't even go that far. I wouldn't go that
there's that much collusion or working around that.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
But here's the downside, here's the devil's advocate to that
same argument. If I thought he could play, I would
have drafted him wherever I thought I needed him to play.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Exactly. That's why I hint to the fact if you
thought he could play, Because why did you take Dylan
Gabriel in the third round. Go get another running back?
Why did you take Dylan Gabriel at all? Go get
a receiver. They don't have any receivers. Besides what Jerry Judy.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
My thought was my thought on that was, let's take
Dylan Gabriel now, and we're going to get shot to
her later for less money.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
But let's see what we can get with Dylan. Go
get me another a big fat guy. Go give me
another offensive lineman or another defensive lineman. But to pick
Dylan Gabriel, a guy who's smaller than Shador Sanders, Yeah,
there was no collusion. Shador Sanders sabotaged himself. If Andy
Reid flat out said, yeah, that was me. Do you
think Travis Kelsey is gonna walk back? He's gonna be like,

(08:19):
I'm sorry, boss, I'm sorry. You're right, but I'm an idiot.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
But Andy Reid's not gonna be in the picture of
drafting him because he's got the quarterback he needs.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
He doesn't need to draft Shador Sanders.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
But I'm saying some of that teams that may have
considered drafting him were the what I don't think he
interviewed for all thirty two teams because half of them
don't want him.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Probably, yeah, yeah, so he probably didn't really want to
go to Cleveland until he had no other choice. Yeah,
their NFL scouts obviously nobody is one hundred percent, but
that is their job. Travis Kelsey focused on trying not
to have Taylor Swift dump you in a heart beat
and try to focus on running the fly, catching the foot.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Eli Manning Ali Manning in two thousand and four on
his family, and his family said we're not going to
San Diego when.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
The Chargers were there. We don't like the organization.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
And he was able to create a draft day trade
to go to the New York Giants. And Eli Manning
was going to be a first round pick by somebody,
and he had the credentials to be able to have that.
Shador had too many question marks beside his name to
have the attitude. Like Neon said in January, work not

(09:25):
necessarily go wherever we get drafted. Your attitude did not
add up to your tangibles when you measure you as
a player. One more segment to go. We wrap up
the day. Next is the Indie average show on the ticket.
