Speaker 1 (00:01):
Forty nine. It's the Andy Everage show on the ticket.
Justin Thomas just hit a miraculous flop shot in the
hole from the almost in the water.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Michael is hoping he had fallen in the water as
any have you anybody ever fallen in the water.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Oh, I don't know in that hole or not, but
people that are standing on the edge of banks have
definitely fallen in waters before. Well, sometimes alligator infested the lakes.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Oh god, I know Rory almost fell. I don't know
what hole he was on earlier today, but when he
was in some deep rough and then went to swing
and caught the club on the grass and then kind
of went ooh, but he's.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Not some coordination he figured himself out. Yeah, all right.
Ohio State's Assembly, this is their state legislature. They are
proposing that the only time that Ohio State will ever
in the future be allowed to play a football game
before in the noon slot or eleven AM Central time,
is when they play Michigan in the in the Horseshoe.

(01:00):
At every game after that, all the other eleven games
and any playoff games they play cannot be at noon
on a Saturday. And the reason for this is is
that they don't want to have their fans inconvenience by
having to come to the game early, not be well
lubricated while they get when they get to the game,

(01:21):
and not be able to tailgate. I mean, this is
simply all they They just don't want to play the
new game anymore, and so they're trying to pass a
bill in their assembly that would prevent this from ever happening.
Kind of like a curfew. I guess you'd have a
pre curfew as to when you could start a game
unless it's the Michigan game. I think the legislatures need

(01:44):
to go back to legislating now. I also there's some
legislatures legislators in Washington that I wish would create some
kind of a ani trust for the NCAA, which I
don't know how long that takes, but the stroke of
a pen should be able to get it done. But
here's the deal. Ohio State Fox is going to determine

(02:05):
when you play based on who you play. And if
you're playing Oregon or USC or Michigan State, maybe Penn
State or Wisconsin, there's a very good chance you're not
going to be the new game because they want you
in a more primetime slot. But if you're playing Minnesota

(02:27):
or Maryland, even Nebraska, as bad as they've been over
the years, if you're playing some team that's not very
good and we still need you on TV because you're
Ohio State, you're not gonna play in the primetime game.
You're gonna play in the noon game. And guess what,
you don't want to play at noon, Fine, play whenever

(02:48):
you want to. We just won't call it broadcast the game,
nor will we pay you. And we'll take a little
bit of our eight billion dollar cut that we're giving
the Big ten, we'll make sure we deduct from them.
This is entitlement on a level that is even more
so than the athletes are asking for for a legislature
to dictate to a network when it's going to play

(03:10):
its games. There's nobody in any conference that wants to
play the eleven am or the noon game, depending on
what time zone you're in. That's the dreaded time slot.
Oh yeah, we get the game over with, we get
to home, go home early. Nonsense. Everybody's half asleep. Nobody
can get to the game on time. The tail getting
starts at four o'clock in the morning. In most places.
Some places they don't open the parking lots until seven,

(03:33):
and so nobody wants that game. Nobody wants it. But
guess what, every now and then you got to take
that game, and it may not be what you want,
but it usually gets balanced out. I would imagine Ohio
State's going to have two or three games other than
the Michigan game that starts at noon, because they're playing
somebody that's terrible, and the games that matter against the

(03:56):
teams that are really good are going to be in
the two thirty or six o'clock a slot. And here's
something else to think about, mister assemblyman. When you have
games at six o'clock in November in Columbus, Ohio, there's
a good chance you're gonna have some terrible weather. At
least the sun may shine a little bit if you're
playing at noon or two thirty. So go back to

(04:17):
being a legislature and get out of the business of football.
You don't know what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, and so if we just let's just take let's
take last year's schedule. UH for instance, uh Akron don't care,
Western Michigan, don't care. Marshall, don't care, Michigan State, don't care. Iowa,
I'm sorry. One of the coolest I think the best
tradition in college football, the waving to the to the

(04:43):
children's that's cool. But still don't care. Ore again. Okay,
now we're talking. Now we care. Nebraska, I'm sorry, I
still don't care. Penn State, I care, Yes, Purdue don't care. Care,
Northwestern don't care. Indiana had a great year this year,
but normally don't care. Big and then Michigan, I care.

(05:05):
So what three games three? Three in game three of
your games matter? Yes, your other games don't matter.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
So start playing some teams that we actually care about.
But the problem is in the Big Ten, we really
only care about Ohio State, Michigan, occasionally Penn State, and
so now we care about Washington and Oregon when they're good,
and USC when it's good. Everybody else not so much. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
So this year, obviously the Week one matchup against the
fighting arch Mannings, I care, Grambling, no disrespect, don't care.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Well, Grambling will be on the Big Ten network, And
because it's on the Big Ten network, Ohio State can
determine whenever they want to start the game, and Ohio
State officials may want to go home early, and they'll
put that game at noon or one o'clock or whatever.
If Fox or ESPN or ABC is determining the start time,
they're gonna put it wherever they want to put it.

(05:59):
If it's big ten network game, it can be wherever.
If it's the ESPN Plus game, it's up to the
home team, and the primetime games will be primetime. All right,
let's talk spur scenarios. Caleb Williams and the NBA all
coming up in the five o'clock hour. Next, it's four
fifty five on the ticket.
