Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, five fifty one. We have a new leader
at the BMW Championship is Robert McIntyre is five hunder
through fifteen. We'll talk some golf in the six o'clock hour,
because Michael can't wait to talk about golf these days.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I can't. I'm enjoying it.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
It's your new converted, it's your new new hobby. Yeah,
you have to actually have to go play it at
some point.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm not playing it. I will watch it. I am
not going to play it. I have tried. I have
tried it.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
You'll have far less aggravation in your life if you do,
if you stay on that course.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, I mean the stress that I put up with
that you know about it's like why do I want
to pull the Robin Williams and you know, be like
eighteen times times pull it a stroke? All right, Put
a beach and water.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Over here and a flag to give you hope, to
give you hope. Rashid Rice from Kansas City, he's going
to get to play the first few games because he
is hearing for what Roger Goodell's Punishment's going to be.
It's not going to be until September twenty eighth thirtieth
September thirtieth. Okay, well, here's my problem with that. So

(01:07):
he's going to play the first four games, and you
know he's going to get suspended as he deserves to do.
So he hurts somebody and driving like a crazy person,
and then the chief Chiefs are going to be without
him for two or three games. And I'm not trying
to make you know light of this from the standpoint
of who cares whether the Chiefs are going to be
out with him or not. But get this over with.

(01:32):
Have the hearing now, make you already know what your
decision's going to be. Maybe he could say something but
that persuades you from going from two games to one,
or four to two or six to three or something
like that. But you know the suspension's going to take
place sometime in October and then he unless he appeals,
and then it's going to be November, and then you're
going to take him out of December games when they

(01:54):
really need him. And I don't say that lightly because
it doesn't matter when the punishment comes. Like I guess
if what he did was wrong and he could hurt
his team at the worst time, but I don't think
you just want to hang your whole season knowing that
at some point you're not going to be there. And
I don't think it's fair to the people that were
victims in this to see their player go the person

(02:17):
who did this go unpunished for potentially six to ten weeks.
Roger Goodell needs to get on a plane, go to
Kansas City, put him in a room and say, Okay,
here's what I'm thinking four games. Tell me why it
should be less than that, and let Rashid rice plead
his case. And if Rashid he goes okay, I'll make
it too. You're at the first two games decision over.
If your lawyer needs to be present, your attorney or

(02:39):
your agent needs to be present, fine. And I don't
know what the grievance process is or the punishment process is.
But the judge, you're executioner and appeal person is Roger Goodell,
and he's already made up his mind to some extent
what's going to happen. Why do we have to prolong
this out till September thirtieth for him to go to
New York and have a hearing. It would be much

(03:00):
better for everyone involved to get it over with now.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I mean, yeah, he even pleaded guilty to the fact
that it was two third degree felony charges because of
the collision with the serious bodily injury. So he's already
admitted to the fact that he was sentenced to thirty
days in jail in five years probation. I don't understand
you're costing. I would say, what the people of New
York tax dollars, you know, to have this hearing so

(03:26):
they can go have a court case.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Well, I don't think it's going to court. This is right.
The decision on his case has already determined. He's not
going to do jail time. He has to pay a fine,
he has to pay restitution all that. But the NFL
has to make a decision on whether they're going to
suspend him for games for contact. I'm becoming a player
in the NFL, and that's what needs to be done.

(03:47):
Is how long are you going to be out? How
many games are you going to be out? And if
it's two to four games, it should be at the
start of the season, not in the middle of it.
All Right, more NFL discussion coming up next. It's five
point fifty six on the two keep

Speaker 2 (04:03):
