Speaker 1 (00:04):
Thanks to Ryan Towns for joining us. You ever fish?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I used to havn't having quite some time, but I
used to. Ye.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
See, I didn't ever fishing oceans or seas or bays
until I got here. And I did that a couple
of times back when I first got here, but I
think it's been like five years. I went down to
the jetty down at Corpus but Porte or wherever it was,
but Ton.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Maybe I should do that this summer.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I mean you should. Fishing is a is a very relaxing.
Uh No, it's not. It's not relaxing. It's it's it's
very anxient. You're waiting for the fish to bite, like
hurry up and bite.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Noah, it's relaxing. I picked up this tip from a buddy.
How much do you have to drink in order for
it to be relaxing? See? That was the thing, you
know that Back when I.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Was younger, I didn't have that luxury, but a family
friend would. He would partake, and what he would do
is instead of you know, if you do happen to
doze off, what you do is not tightly but stick
your finger in the line and kind of wrap it
a little bit that way when you feel a tug,

(01:17):
your finger will and you're like, hey, so And then
a little a little known trick that I learned a
long time ago from my father is for all the fishermen, uh,
if you're fishing for catfish, if you're using like chicken liver, uh,
either a girlfriend or or mother or grandmother, if they

(01:37):
have old pantyhose that they are gonna throw away, cut
the pantyhose into little squares and then put the chicken
liver in it and then tie it up and then
you put that on the hook.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
And now you don't wind up losing bait.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
So you just continue to read to rebook it all
the time to reuse that.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, because it's it's harder for the fish to get
it off the hook without them actually biting the hook.
And usually when you buy chicken liver, it's frozen, so
as the day goes on, it starts to get slimier
and slimier as it un thaws. And you know, if
you give a good fling, the bait might actually fly off.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
So yeah, yeah, it does that could that could be
a possibility for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I used to freshwater fish a lot in college and
high school and with a kid. But yeah, I did that.
There's not a lot of freshwater fishing around here.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Canyon Lake, Calaveras Lake, Bronic Lake. Fished all of those.
I think there was another one that I can't think
of off the top.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Of my head.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
But I've only done salt water a couple of times.
The biggest problem with like offshore here. Yeah, it's like
an only three hour boat ride do where you're supposed
to catch a fish. I've said this many times. I
only do peers because I've seen jaws way.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I'm not getting in the water. Yeah, Jaw's way. You
I mean, I'd have to be just get a bigger boat.
I'd have to be. I'd have to be on like
a damn carrier, the USS, you know whatever the USS
meno out there.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
No, no, no, all right, I I ain't going any
further out than uh in the ocean than you know
my waist.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well talk Nixon, UH and pacers here in just a second,
as they're getting up ready for their game one tonight,
the New York Yankees have decided to uh up the
ante on their bobblehead night.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Okay, and they have decided.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
That Yankee fan and Yankee Icon New York Icon Billy
Joel will be the next one to get their bobblehead
at Yankee Stadium. Well, first of all, okay, I get
the bobblehead thing. It's kind of cool to have if
you have. If you're a fan of something and you're
on a bobblehead, I guess you made it. But I'm
sure Billy Joel could have bibbleheads at whatever concert he

(03:55):
puts on, at whatever venue he puts on anywhere in
the world, or sell them at Billy Joel dot com
if they're He's even such a sight.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Why do the New York Yankees need to do this?
I have no clue that's that's a good one for.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I mean, they sell out every game to begin with anyway,
or at least they get forty thousand plus pretty much
every night.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
And I don't think that just because you have Billy
Joel Knight, unless it's against you know, unless they're playing
Colorado this year at home, that they needed to promote
the game. I just wish you'd stick with your players
in the history of your team. When you're doing this, uh,
you know, doing Aaron Boon night, you've probably already done
Judge and some of the others. But there's got to

(04:36):
be a better person to pick than him. Even though
he's iconic in New York and he's you always see
him at the games and sitting in a box seat
with a Yankee hat on, I'm not really sure that
that's that important.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm not sure either, And I had no idea.
I mean, gentlemen, we have a breaking news. Stop what
you're doing.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Okay, here's the breaking news. That's what we got going
on here.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
This is unfortunate.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Andy Adam Schefter is reporting that Colts legendary owner Jim
Irsay has unfortunately passed away. Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
That is that is uh, that is definitely breaking news.
I know I didn't.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I knew he had had some health issues in the past,
and that comes out from Adam Schefter, who's on top
of pretty much everything in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, so that's uh that there there's a long statement
that the Colts have given out.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
But that's uh.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah, that definitely wasn't something I was assuming it was
going to get hit today with. But yes, so Jim
Mersey has.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Does it say was it a sudden or was it
I don't know that he if he'd been hospitalized or
and not that that really necessarily matters, but was this
sixth Uh is this coming or did this happen up
all of a sudden.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I think this just happened all of a sudden, because
this is from Casey Gordon, Casey, Casey Foyt, and then
Kaylin Jackson and his entire family. They said that we
are I'll just read you the whole thing. We are
devastated to announce our beloved owner and CEO, Jim Ersay,
passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon. Jim's dedication

(06:19):
and passion for the Indianapolis Colts, in addition to his generosity,
commitment to the community, and most importantly, his love for
his family were unsurpassed. Our deepest sympathies go out to
the daughters, as I said earlier, Uh, and the entire
family is is grieving with them. So yeah, unfortunate, unfortunate passing.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
You know.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
I'm sure in the weeks to come we'll find out
autopsy wise, you know, maybe heart attack or something like that.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
But I know he was what he was, a recovering alcoholic.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
I mean, I know that he had a health scare
of years ago. I don't remember those heart related or
cancer related. But that's sad news from the l Today.
One more segment to go. We wrap up the day.
Next it's the Andy average shows on the tickets
