Speaker 1 (00:04):
I had a fabulous week last week on our NFL picks.
I went thirteen and one, nice and I would have
been fourteen to zero, but I somehow decided to take
the Bengals instead of the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I mean, you were feeling yourself. You took a lot
of upsets, didn't you.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I did, But I have gained three on you.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
So your lead is seven as we hit with six weeks,
that was still to go. So let's get to the
games this week. We start with three on Thursday nights,
and game number one is Packers Lions. I'm going with Detroit.
They're playing at home. I think that they're going to
figure this out at some point or they're not, but

(00:42):
I'm going to keep with going with they are. Dan
Campbell's a good motivator. I like the Lions and a
Thanksgiving Day win tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Andy.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I don't know if you saw it or not, but
in the first matchup, the Packers took away the Lions
run and they.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Love to be able to run the ball.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
To tell about the passing game, they're very traditional kind
of way. They went out and they were to re
signed their previously retired All Pro center Frank Ragnow, who
likely won't play on Thanksgiving. We'll see if he's available
for the Cowboys, but until then, I like the Packers
in this one.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Go away with the Packers. Huh yes, I am all right.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Let's just get the Cowboys and the Chiefs out of
the way. I'm gonna go with Kansas City, Okay. I
think Pat Mahomes is gonna have some Chiefs magic. I
like the Cowboys, I really do. I think they've been
playing really good football, but I just don't think they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Beat Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
And if Kansas City lose this many more, they can
forget about another postseason run, let alone even being in
the postseason.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I don't know if you saw this either, but Isaiah Pacheco,
your favorite running back of theirs, he is back for
this one. However, they're all pro level I should say,
right guard Tray Smith. He won't play for this game.
And right now, the Cowboys have allowed ninety combined rushing
yards to oppose the running backs in the last two games.
This is the treas warfare I was telling you about
during the draft. One of them new invest so much
in their offensive defensive lines because that's where their game

(02:03):
has started.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I like the way this.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Defense has played the last two weeks, and honestly, I
like the secondary versus Pat Mahomes, who this year honestly
has a lot of turnover worthy FROs.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Give me the Cowboys, I figured you'd take those.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, Bengals and Ravens cap out the camp camp off
the Thursday unit a fair I know they're activating Burrow
and that matters a little bit, but it's in Baltimore
and the Ravens are gonna win.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
This game obviously.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Also if you saw her now, but t Higgins won't
play this game, so there Goes.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
It's number two now. I like Baltimore this one too.
The defense is playing a lot better. The offense has
been collectively noticed to be better, obviously with him coming back.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
My question with the Ravens, even as the playoffs approach.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Is is it because the schedule gotten much easier after
Week six than they are this good?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
But they'll take care of the Cincinnati.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Team, all right.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
The Bears are playing the Eagles, and they're playing in Philadelphia.
I am ready to see a Caleb Williams come out party,
and I think happens this week because I think the
Bears are gonna score close to thirty, and I'm not
sure the Eagles can get there, So give me the Bears.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Well, first of all, kayl Williams come out party was
actually against the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
It was, but he he's gonna come out even more.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Yeah, well in this game. What's what really helps is
that the Eagles offensive line. You saw it was noticeably
beat up. Landon Dickerson looks hurt the right guard and
the right tackle situation. We'll see what Lane Johnson looks
like in this one, because the Chicago has an underrated
front seven and a really good secondary. I however, like
the Eagles in this one. I like the Eagles after

(03:35):
a loss. I don't think there'll be a very high
scoring affair. But I have too many questions with too
much of this Bears defense that I don't know if
I could trust him against a team liked Philly that
likes to have consistency on their offense. So I got
Philly in a close one. But I think we're starting
to see the decline of the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Forty nine ers are at the Browns. I like the
Browns in this game. Okay, I'm going with Shador He's
gonna shine again. The forty nine ers have across country flight.
I've been thinking they've been playing with fool's gold all
year long.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I'll take shitoor Andy is feeling spicy. I love it.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Plus Miles Garrett was six games to go has a
clear trajectory to beat both the the TJ. Watt single
season sack record. He's only like four behind with six
games to go. He's He's had multiple games with three
with three sacks or more. San Francisco, after getting rock
Party back, the offense looked a little stagnant.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Juwan Jennings Obviously he took.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
The bar into of that at the end of the
game against against the Carolina, But I like San Francisco
in this one. I like, for some reason, the defense
seems to be playing better despite no Fred Warner, despite
no Nick Bosa, that they're making guys who are on average,
if we're being honest, play at a higher level to overcompensate.
And even though I think brock Party might be a
bit of an issue right now quarterback, I don't think

(04:51):
Cleveland has enough offensively to attack this Niners defense.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Well, so far, we've disagreed on four of five that
rarely happens, but that makes it more interesting. Let's go
Agston Titans. Tennessee sucks. Jag Wiers rolling this game.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Just Tennessee sucks. Yes, no love, cam Ward had a
career game.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, I'm not buying it yet, there's still a ways
a way they I got Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
They need new offensive tackles. They need a new offensive
coordinator like cam Ward.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I think is gonna be fine, but they need to
surround him with better talent. Uh No, Jacksonville's got this one.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Well, we agree on that one, all right. The Texans
are at the Colts.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Let's like c. J.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Stroud's going to be cleared to play for Sunday. I
still think the Colts are the best team in the ASC,
even though the Chiefs speak them last week in kind
of a wild game down the stretch, which the Chiefs
always do. But I'm gonna take Indianapolis to win this game.
And I'm sorry Texans fans, but it's looking bleak right now.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
He said, looking bleak even though they're even though they're
on a winning streak, you're not gonna take.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Them with them?

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Well, I'm not going to take them in this game.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
And the more that you can lose at this stage
the last opportunity you have for getting that seventh wildcard spot.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
I mean that's fair, especially because the Colts are actually
one of the better teams that protecting their quarterback. They
have only allowed up to this point twenty one sacks
on the season, which I believe is eighth in the
NFL or tied for it at least. But the Texans
have something here right now with Denil Hunter and Will Anderson,
who have elevated to elite status in their own rights
as well.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
As a as well as a duo. I'm gonna disagree
with you again. I like the Texans this one.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I think they keep on with I think they keep well.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
We got volatility gonna happen this week one way or
the other. We're not agreeing on anything so far, all right.
The next game on the list is the worst game
of the year, Saints and Dolphins. I'm gonna go with
the Dolphins only because they're playing at home. This is
unfortunately Miami and Louisiana have to watch this game. The

(06:43):
rest of the country will get something better. But I'm
gonna go with the Dolphins just because.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So this game is worse than when the Browns played
the Jets. Yes, I don't know if you know it's not.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Andy, but the Dolphins have won three of their last
four since they fired their offensive coordinator and there's still
technically alive for the for the playoffs, and their next
four games are all very winnable. Start with the Saints team.
Tua's not playing all that bad overall.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Like they got the Saints, the Jets, next, the Steelers,
next in the Bengals. The Dolphins ain't out of the woods.
It seems like I like him in this game as well.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
All right, here's one for you have Falcons and Jets.
Falcons went to New Orleans last week and distant didn't
disappoint me. So if I picked them this week, I
know they're gonna disappoint me because there's no way they
can play well two weeks in a row.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
The Jets are a little hungry right now.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
If they can get Woody out of the building and
his kids being grandkids, then I think they're gonna be okay.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
So I'm gonna take the Jets in this game.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
So you're so you're betting, you're betting the averages.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
I got you, Kirk Cousins looks miles better than he
did last year, and I'm not really sure why that is.
Drake London, I think is still going to be a
game time decision. I'm not mistaken. But I don't love
I don't love the Jets Justin Fields. I don't love
them with Tyrod Taylor. There's too many questions on that offense. Obviously,

(08:03):
Garrett Wilson ain't gonna be there. No give me the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Playing with fire. The Falcons are fire, all right, cards
at butts. Tampa Bay's what lost three in a row now,
I believe? So hang on, I think I think Tampa
Bounce is back. Baker is maybe for the game. I
think Tampa Bay wins this game whether he plays or not.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I mean, I think it would matter more if he
played or not.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
But to be honest, yeah, the thing is about teams
like Tampa because they went from the clear favorite in
the South and now they're battling Carolina for that.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
For that, for that South least.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Cannot make the playoffs. I can't live with that.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
But it didn't done it before. Give Carolina some love.
Bryce Young was the offensive player, the.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Rico Dallle on their team.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Well that you got you got some petty grudges. I
swear to God no. The thing is, but Arizona is
more beat up than this Tampa team.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
So right now, it wouldn't matter if if Baker Miffle
was playing or not, because I think Tampa at the
very least can run the ball on this Arizona defense.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I like Tampa as well.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Next up is the Rams at the Panthers. I'm not
gonna give the Panthers any love. The Rams are a
juggernaut when they want to be that way. They do
have to go on the road, but I think they'll
get the job done.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
And win by three scores in Carolina.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
I don't know about three scores, but actually that is
the biggest spread of the weeks of this week's.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Games at ten and a half. Well type of Minnesota Seattle.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
But yeah, the thing about the Rams is like they're
playing underrated defense. They're one of the least talked about
number one seeds.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
We've seen in a while.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Matt Stafford today is the MVP of the NFL twenty
seven touchdown to two interceptions or something like that. He
is playing at an all pro level, and when he retires,
we're going to talk about how he should have been
regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Rams win big, all right.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
The Vikings are at the Seahawks. Seattle is not losing
at home. Seattle is a well well machine. They've had
chances to win the two games that they lost. They
win and relive satively easy. In this game against the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
I think Matt I think not Matt Stufford. I think
that Sam Darnold. It has a little something to say
about it. Because you're looking across the way at the
Purple People leaders saying, hey, y'all shows that rookie.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
They y'all gave all those draft picks for me.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
I took you all to fourteen and three, and I'm
over here playing at a Pro Bowl level. And the Vikings,
even though they got some guys back from injury, JJ
McCarthy is so inconsistent you can't trust him, especially especially
in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
No, the Seahawk's gonna win this one.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
We both have this, so we've gone a little role
here where we agree on everything. Bills are at the Steelers.
Steelers haven't played well of late. They're coming back home.
That's their avatar. They'll get choosed up because like UTSA does.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
When they play at home. I've got Pittsburgh winning this game.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
I think Buffalo having those extra days rest is gonna
help because they allowed a franchise high eight sacks against
the Texans. Now Pittsburgh has their own really good pass
rest themselves. But I think likely we're gonna see a
lot of like a lot of tight ends blocking this week.
I think we'll see a lot more Josh Allen on
the move. I think we're gonna see a different Bills
offense than we saw last week, because now we're in

(11:05):
desperation mode.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
I think the Bills go in and win this game,
but I do think it'll be close.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Chargers host the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Raiders not very good Chargers, Yeah, they could be.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I'm going Chargers in an easy win.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Chargers next, the Commanders take on the Broncos. This looked
like a good match up at the beginning of the year.
The Denver's held up, it's into the bargain. The Commanders
have been broken.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Down a lot.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
I don't think it'll be a fun game to watch. Unfortunately,
it is the Sunday night game. Maybe there's something better
to see. But I like the Broncos winning pretty easily
in this game.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I don't disagree at all.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
A matter of fact, this game, I might be watching
the Spurs instead anyway. The thing is, like, I think,
allowing Jayden Daniels to come back, they're talking about m
potentially coming back for a push at the end. Isn't
pipe dreaming unnecessary because that's the same thing they did
with RG three.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Go ahead and learn from your lessons of the past.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Just sit him out the rest of this year, take
the l which they will, and let him grow into
this next offseason.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Don't push it back. Learn from the mistakes.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Of the past. Absolutely all right.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Final game, Patriots hosting the Giants. The Giants have had
a little bit of life lately, but their life isn't
gonna be good enough to beat New England.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
The Patriots are are starting to get things straightened out
with with Mike Rabel coaching, and I'm gonna take the
Patriots to win this game.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Oh okay, not just kidding. I knew you were gonna
knew you were gonna take the upset there. No.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
And the good news is for the Giants fan, the
Jackson Darts expected you back from this game. And if
nothing else. Jackson Dart is that glimmer of hope if
you're a Giants fan. But the thing is that you
hope he could eventually be what Drake may has become.
Mike Brabel, you and I need might have a conversation
about how he might be coach of the Year because
it's impressive to take a Tennessee Titans organization at the

(12:48):
AC Championship game. He might do the same thing with
his old stomping grounds in New England. And I think now,
I think the Patriots will win. But I've been impressed
with the Giants have done in losing efforts, so I
think this game will be close, but the Patriot we'll
come with a win.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
All Right.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
That's our picks for this week in the NFL. We'll
see how things pan out after next Monday Night. More
coming up, it's the Andy Everage Show on the Ticket
