positive note. Awesome Sauce. Right around six ten weekday mornings
with the V ninety three Morning Show. It was graduation
day for Mi cal Baker, a Georgia teen who had
just crossed the stage diploma in hand cap on head
metal around the neck. And while his classmates partied that night, Mikel,

while he had to clock in at work at Burger King,
fresh off the stage, straight to the friar, and that
quiet show of dedication did not go unnoticed. Maria Mendoza,
a mom who was grabbing a late night bite after
her daughter's own graduation, spotted Mikel at the window, still
dressed in his metal. I love that. It's celebrate radiating joy.

And she was so moved that she set up a
surprise GoFundMe to support his college dreams. Get this, what
started as a small gesture has absolutely exploded into something
life changing. More than one one hundred and eighty seven
thousand dollars raise.

That is how you do it. You reward the ones
who need to be rewarded loudly.

Plus a ten thousand dollars scholarship from the Burger King
Foundation and even sweeter. The kindness came full circle because
Maria's daughter, she's the one who started to GoFundMe. She
graduated with Mi CAL. She was also surprised with a
ten thousand dollars scholarship to help her study neuroscience.

Two hard working grads, one generous mom, and a community
that has showed up in a huge way. So just
a little reminder this morning. Hard work and dedication does
not go unnoticed. Sometimes the drive through window does lead
you straight to your future.

That's amazing, Yeah, on so many levels because growing up
for me it was like, oh you work at a
fast food place. Oh, you know, it was looked at
as like, you know, not looked down on, but like
as like that's just a job to lead to the
next job, and it can turn into something great into
something grey. And it shows you that partying at school
does nothing but hard work, like you said, pays off

and you could get rewarded like this. I love this story. Yeah,
probably my favorite in a long time.
