As however, B ninety three Awesome Sauce start your day
on a positive note. Awesome Sauce weekday mornings with the
B ninety three Morning Show. We are traveling to Memphis,
Tennessee this morning. Edna Jackson went more than a week
without power and it was the middle of summer heat,
so she stayed away from home as much as possible,

but she ultimately couldn't end up going to a shelter
because she didn't want to leave her dog behind ah,
and you often can't take those to shelters, your pets.
She called around for help but came up empty until
she reached out to her local news station, and that
is when the Memphis Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha PSI

(00:43):
fraternity stepped in. Within minutes, one of the members of
the fraternity and all the fraternity brothers raised the money
needed to get her power back on Holy Cow. Now
you know, it wasn't like thousands and thousands of dollars.
This was like a couple hundred bucks. But to do
it within a couple of minutes, they said, for them,

it wasn't a random act. It is part of their mission.
Parrish said, the way he was raised is help people
because you can, and the kindness didn't stop there. Edna's
neighbor Keith, also helped her during that long hot week
with bags of ice. By the weekend, Edna's lights were
back on, her house was cool again, and she says

(01:25):
the fraternity brothers are now her family. So today's Awesome
Sauce goes out to the men of the Kappa Alpha
Psi fraternity and Edna's neighbors who look out for each other,
because sometimes restoring the power means a whole lot more
than just turning back the lights on. I love that
so much. That's how you start your day on a
