integrity in Riverside, California. You may have seen this video
circulating on social media, but heartwarming act of honesty outside
a newly opened uptown candy store after noticing that the

store's doors had accidentally been left unlocked after closing, Connor
Smith and his young son didn't just walk away. They
stood guard outside the shop, waiting until security arrived to
make sure everything was safe. And to be honest, if
you've seen the video, it looks like they were more
concerned than the security guard when he got there. Oh

really Yeah, but here is just a little clip from
the footage.

Go find a security guard and tell the the places unlocked.
So then the footage like speeds up up and they
kind of hang out. They don't go in. They opened
the door at first and kind of peek their head
inside and it's dark, but clearly there want some candy
in there. Yeah, but they never went in. They just
kind of stood outside waited for security to get there,
and then he explained, like we were coming to the

candy store, I think it maybe was left unlocked for
the night. And yeah, when the store owner says she
found the footage and security let her know what happened,
she said that it meant so much more to her
because it happened just days after her grand opening. He
didn't have to take the time out of his night
to do something like that, she said. Wanting to thank them,

she posted the footage online and it quickly went viral,
like viral viral, And when Connor found out, he was
a little bit surprised that his good deed didn't go unnoticed.
The store owner invited him and his son back for
the sweetest thank you of all, a free candy shopping spring.

Oh god, I was just gonna say, the dream would
be just to let them run through it and just
say pick whatever you want, fill up a bag.

And that they did. Yes, it is proof that doing
the right thing doesn't just pay off. Sometimes it tastes
like chocolate and gummy bears and all the yummiest stuff.
Faith in humanity restored a little bit after you see that.
