Oh, it's such already a cool last name.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
You can see where this is going. They met, they
fell in love, they got engaged, and they got to
get married right. Yeah, Well, they tied the knot earlier
this month, becoming mister and missus Blizzard, and it made
perfect sense that they would want to work their love
of Dairy Queen into the celebration. When they first met
four years ago, Olivia learned of her future husband's last name,

and she couldn't help but think of DQ's iconic, frozen
upside downable treat Yes the Blizzard, which she loved as
a kid. So when planning for their wedding, she reached
out to Dairy Queen to request a blizzard bar at
the reception. Yeah, Dairy Queen said, Hey, We're gonna help
you out with a little bit more than just a
blizzard bar.

Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
They surprised the couple with an engagement photo shoot at
a DQ location gift cards, some DQ themed swag, including
a custom Missus Blizzard jacket.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
They are living most people's childhood dream right there.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
They should be hired like just on the spot, hired
brand ambassador right there. They also made good on the
Blizzard bar idea at their May third wedding in Texas,
sending a local franchisee with a Blizzard cooler, the blizzards,
and of course more treats for all of the guests.
Olivia says the day exceeded anything that she imagined, especially
Dairy Queen's involvement in this, and they noted that the

guests were blown away by the surprise after the photo shoot.
A lot of people suspected Dairy Queen would somehow be
involved at the wedding after they saw the pictures come out,
but they were not expecting a full dessert delivery mid party,
complete with goodies for everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
There's so many things here. First off, that's a genius
idea for future weddings. Even if your last name isn't Blizzard,
you should do this.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Genius. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Second, there was a time in our in our history,
in people's history, where your last name was basically what
you did as a job.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
That was why you had your last name. True.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So I don't know if mister Blizzard or Missus Blizzard
works in the ice cream industry, but they should or
they should work as a meteorologist because both industries for
them would be the perfect.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Thing they need to like start their own dairy queen franchise. Yes,
and they should get a discount just because of his
last name, mister Blizzard. Congratulations to mister and Missus Blizzard.
