Speaker 1 (00:00):
Start your day on a positive note. Awesome sauce right
around six ten weekday mornings with the B ninety three
Morning Show. Now, this is a very tiny bird with
a very big heart. This happened in Western Australia. Kind
of a crazy story. A woman named Sandy fell from
a second story window. She landed on hard creep. I know,
(00:23):
she landed on hard concrete below, cracked her skull and
dislocated her arm. She was completely unconscious and if no
one had found her, she would not have made it.
That's what the doctor said. My gosh. But someone or
something rather did find her. Not a neighbor, not a
stranger walking by, Nope, it was Jellybean. Jelly Bean, who's
(00:47):
jelly Bean? Three years earlier, Sandy had rescued a tiny
magpie chick so like teeny tiny little bird in Australia,
they're all over that had fallen from a tree and
couldn't fly. You noticed this hilarities about these stories. Yeah,
she named her jelly Bean, and she nursed her back
to health and eventually set her free. But jelly Bean
(01:08):
decided I kind of like it here. I don't think
I'm gonna leave. So jelly Bean has just been around.
She stayed in the area, and she often knocks on
Sandy's windows and doors just to say, hi, oh, I
love that. This is a wild animal, like, this is
not an animal that you domesticate and like keeps a pet.
And Sandy didn't do that. She just you know, got
her well and then sent jelly Bean out her way,
(01:30):
or did she. So when Sandy was laying unconscious on
the ground that day, it was Jellybean who found her.
The little tiny magpie started gently tapping her on the forehead,
oh my god, and making soft purring noises until Sandy
woke up enough to call her husband, who got emergency help.
(01:50):
Doctor say if she had stayed unconscious just a little longer,
she would not have survived. Sandy now lives a little
bit closer to family, but she'll never forget that the
tiny bird she once saved came back and saved her.
That's incredible. So let that sink in a bird that
she rescued years ago who live in the wild not
(02:14):
only comes back to visit her, but remembers her returned
and then repaid that kindness. That's incredible. So that is
your awesome sauce for today. If you needed a reason
to believe in the power of good deeds and maybe
pat adoption that's always under there with me, unexpected friendships,
(02:34):
this is it. Start your day on a positive note.
