Speaker 1 (00:08):
A.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Brandley Gilbert on Michigan's number one for new country B
Natty three. It's the B Natty three Morning Show. I'm
Alli mack Now, Mike. I am back from my trip
to the Mile High City.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
You made it off of the river? I did? I did.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I was kind of nervous, as I shared with everybody
we were going white water rafting on this trip. This
was a batch trip, but one of the days we
were like, we've never been white water rafting. We're going
and just like, just the sound of it sounds dangerous
to me. White water rafting.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
And the group that I went with, they were like,
we don't want to do the beginner, we want to
do the intermediate advanced. I was also scared about that
because I've never done it before.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
It was so much fun. Good, It was so much fun.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It was so much less intense than I was expected
it was gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I told you, I told you, they can't put you
on a river with a guide and be like you
could die on this. Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
They definitely say that, do they really?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
They definitely say that, And I can I can see
why they say it, because you really get all kinds
of kinds that go on these trips. I mean, you
get families, you get people like us, like you know,
just on a group trip. Sure, you get all kinds
of kinds.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Okay, let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
This is the picture they show on the brochure of
the group that's hitting a rapid really hard and they're
diving down into the water and half the boats up
in the air and the paddles and everybody's like really
intensely looking. Is that the most intense it gets or
does it get more intense than that?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I would say that that is probably one of the
more intense spots. Okay, okay, But see here's where I
went wrong is I thought that it was gonna be
intense the entire time, and it's really not. It's like
sections of the river, like small sections are the actual rapids.
So we had class three and class four rapids that

(02:08):
we went down. I thought this was gonna be like
three hours of intense like work, Like I thought we
were gonna get off the boat and just collapse and
be like I'm glad it's over right, But it was
really enjoyable. It wasn't three hours. I don't know where
I got that. It was like an hour or so.
Forty five minutes sixty minutes, and it's not super involved

(02:31):
the entire time. But we had a really really good guide. Okay,
so I feel like she did a really good job
of like preparing us for what we needed. She also
did a lot of the work that's nice, which I
was very appreciative.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
That's nice.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I will say, if you are thinking about it, one percent,
absolutely I would totally do it again. There was a
moment where right before we were putting the boats in
the river, because you got to do that, you know, Okay,
you got one guide with six of you on this
raft like inflatable raft, so you got to pull the

(03:05):
boat in the water or out of the water.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
You got to put it in, you gotta take it
off the bus. Sure.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I don't know if all rafting companies are like that,
but right before we put it in the water, I
was just standing there looking at this river and I
was like, this thing is flying. The water is so fast, Like,
how are we all going to get in? This is
this are we gonna have to take like a running start?
But it was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Clearcreek Rafting that is the company that we went through
and mop in Colorado and it was just amazing. They're
also the only rafting company that gives you free pictures
at the end. Obviously, you can't take your phone on
the river because that's just a recipe for disaster.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I would still try.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
They say, like, it is absolutely impossible to find something
at the bottom of this river if you lose it,
So if you care about it, do not bring it.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
So none of us, like brought our phones. But they
take pictures for you.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Oh that's nice, And I guess a lot of the
other rafting companies will charge you for the picture.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, it's not cheap.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
It's like one hundred and fifty bucks, okay, but we
got ours for free.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I like it. I like it.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
So I'm trying to track those down, but I haven't
been able to get access to them yet. I don't
know if they haven't posted be ninety Free
