B-93 Morning Show: Mike's Son's Spider-Man Sunglasses Update!

After some great suggestions this week from the B-93 listener family. We have an update on what Mike's son did with the Spider-Man sunglasses. Plus, a big suprise!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Earlier this week, we were talking about a little bit
of a parenting dilemma that Mike had. Yeah, this had
to do with a lost item on the playground.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yeah, my son found a pair of some other kids
Spider Man sunglasses, and he like fell in love with
him immediately. He's like, these are the greatest in the
entire world. I have to have them. They're amazing. And
we told him when he found them, hey, buddy, they're
not yours. I think you have to give them back,
even though you know you found them, and he was

(00:30):
he was crushed. So this was like about a week ago,
and for a week he had been taking them. He
took him to the teacher. The teacher said, well, we
can put him in the Lost and found, or we
can ask around and if somebody you know, you know,
asked about him, you can you can give him to them.
And so he held onto them for a couple of days.
I know.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's so it's like so heartbreakingly sweet that he went
back every single day after he would turn them into
the office and go back and get them and be like,
I will bring them back tomorrow, but I just want.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
To keep so So a little bit of an update
he came home with them again the day we we
had talked about it, and he was he did not
want to give them back. He was dead set. He
wore them all day like this was a heartbreaking thing

(01:23):
because I.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Mean, they're sick glasses. They are very cool.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, And we had then had a conversation with teachers,
his teacher who was an absolutely incredible teacher, and said,
you know, hey, you know, we explained the situation and
this was so this was earlier in the week, right,
And then the next day he didn't come home with

(01:46):
him at all, and we go, where's the where's the sunglasses?
And he goes, I gave him to the teacher. They're
going to make sure they find they make it. They're
going to make sure they find the person who it is.
And he's crushed and he's sad. But what he didn't
know is that dad found a pair of black sunglasses
that look just like this dad. So he he was crushed,

(02:11):
but he did the right thing. And I had been
waiting for him to do the right thing. And I
still think he's gonna try to find find whose sunglasses
they are, because he thinks they're the greatest thing in
the entire world, and so I think he checks with
the teacher. Now he like, he goes in and he's like.
But what he did know, and what I didn't tell anybody,
not even my wife, is that I just went out

(02:31):
and sought out sunglasses that looked very close to these,
and I found them in as soon as he did
the right thing. The second I found out he did
the right thing, I gave it to him. Now he
hasn't made. I love the idea of him making a
like a flyer and trying to find that, so I
think we're still going to do that. But I couldn't
hold back, and I wanted to give him the sunglasses.
So I kind of the sunglasses.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
That's a dad win. That for sure is a dad win.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Oh, I was so worried he wasn't going to do
the right thing. I'd be very honest with you. That's
a tough situation.
