which I have had a couple friends talk about, Like
I think this spring, I'm gonna get my own chickens.

Yeah, if you're thinking about this, you got to make
sure that you're like it's it's okayed for like your
zone or whatever. But I thought I was like, there
is this like rent the chicken. This is this company
founded in twenty thirteen. Are they doing this in West Michigan. Oh,
they're doing it all over Michigan.

They have Grand Rapids, They've got Lancing, They've got Southwest
Michigan like by the Indiana border.

They have Detroit, they have ann Arbor. And there are
two different places where you can get like chickens and
Grand Rapids Homestead Heather and Mike and also Hatch the
Chicken and and like rental packages start at four hundred
and ninety five dollars and with that you get delivery
and set up and also pick up. Of the contents,

you get two chicken egg laying hens, one standard chicken coop,
one water dish, one food dish, one hundred pounds of
chicken feed, and a quick guide for taking care of
your rent the chickens.

Chickens, I don't know. I've complained to my neighbors a
couple of times because his dog's uh he cleans up
his dog poop and leaves it out on the side
of his house. Yeah, So I feel like if I
got a chicken and it was making all this noise
and it would probably be a mess, I feel like
it would be way worse to that little bit of
dog poop that he leaves at the side of his house.

These chicken coops are cute. They're pretty small because you know,
you're only getting two chickens with this, Okay, but like,
this is a thing that is actually happening. I would
be curious to know if anyone has read from Rent
the Chicken or the two like homestead Heather and Mic
or Hatch the Chicken.

Yeah, is it work? Is it worth it? Because to
me that sounds like a lot of work. Like again,
I barely like shoveling my driveway. I don't know that
I want to take care of a chicken, but I
do like eggs, yeah, and I do want to save
money on eggs.

And they say that this could produce anywhere from eight
to fourteen eggs per week.

Now, I don't know. It doesn't look like these chicken
coops are like insulated at all, so I don't know
how this works in the winter. This says rentals are
available April through October or May through November. So maybe
you got to return the stuff before the winter.
