Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the B ninety three Morning Show. I'm Ali Max
and I'm Mike. What's on your list.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Of things that I won't let people borrow? Yeah, I
have a very Uh, it's actually kind of a smaller
list because I'm pretty good about it. Neighbors want to
borrow a tool, I'll let them borrow a tool. If
somebody asks like that, I know pretty well. To borrow
my car, I would probably loan out my car.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
H that's a big one.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but they're my my specifically my camper,
I think, is the one thing that I don't loan out.
Like if I thought about putting out of one of
those those sites or those apps where you could it's
like an Airbnb but for campers.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yeah, but I don't want, Like.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I know, what's gonna happen is little things will start
getting broken and then I'm gonna have to fix them,
or I'll I'll let somebody borrow it, right, and something
will get broken on it and they'll not tell me,
and I'll go, hey, like, I know this was broke
when I gave it to you, and then we'll have
to have that whole conversation about like.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
No, I swear what was.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
It broke when I go to it or what if?
The worst is I think you brought it up earlier
when you let somebody borrow something and you have to be.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Like, hey, so it's been a week now. I was
just wondering when you're gonna return my can?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
And then it becomes like a hassle to them, right,
like you borrowed it from me, Like you should be
you should make it convenient for me to get my
thing back.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Yeah, that's just the one thing I won't let somebody borrow.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, six one, six two four two ninety three, ninety three.
What is the one thing that you will not let
somebody borrow? Because over the years, I feel like I've
accumulated quite the list.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
What's on your list?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Makeup?

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Oh that's a good one. That seems gross anyways, is
it not?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It's gross?

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Is it gross? Okay? I don't I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Okay, money, Uh yeah, I mean it would have to
be some it would have to be there's a circle.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
I think there.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
It's a it's a threshold with the amount yeah, money okay,
and also my time. Okay, there are certain people where
you're just you're not borrowing my time anymore, and I
can't pick you up from the airport cause you just
like you never get anything like in return, you know,
like the next time you go to be like, hey,

(02:17):
hey gave you four rides to the airport, like now
it's my turn. Oh sorry, I Can't'm busy, Like okay,
I get it, but also I'm busy next time, you
know what I mean that one, Like it takes a
while for this and then after a certain point it's
just like yeah, sorry.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
To go along with that one.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Specifically, do you ever uh turn down somebody wanting to
give you their time because you know that they're going
to expect you to do something in return. Yes, like hey,
I would love you know blah blah blah blah blah,
because I'm gonna ask you for a favor down the
road and you're like, no, it's okay, I got it right,

(03:00):
Oh thank you.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah. Yeah, like it like moving.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Oh that's a guess. That's specifically. That's a great one.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Early on, when me and like a couple other girls
in my friend group, we like all kind of purchased
houses around the same time.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, and they were like.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
This is so great, like we can all like help
each other like paint and like fix the stuff up.
And you know, one of the girls, we went like
to her house and like helped her paint, and that
was I'm glad we did her house first because then
you can sort of see what everybody's abilities are.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
And it's like, I don't need help. I don't need help.
I'm good. I'm good.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Thank you so much so more than willing to like
come over and help you paint for like an hour
or something. Yeah, but I'm not painting like entire rooms
in your house now.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I always That's why if somebody asks or if I
offer help for somebody, I'm like pay me in food.
That way, there's no there's obviously you're not going to
be another return favorite ask. I'm just like pay me.
I'm happy to help, but like I don't want you
feel like you have to help me because I helped you.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, and like it's just you get burned one time
and you're like ooh, yes.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Never again.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
And this actually came up for a reason, Like I
had somebody ask me because they heard me talking about
my my camper last week or the week before. Whenever
I was talking about being in my baby They're like, hey,
just wondering, like on weekends where you're you know, you're
not camping or whatever, would you be open to like
letting me borrow it? And I let me do my
go to is, let me talk to my wife, Let

(04:25):
me ask my wife. What let me ask my wife?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
You make her the bad guy?

Speaker 4 (04:29):
No, No, it's some situations.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Baby, But it's the B ninety three Morning Show. I'm
Ali Mack and I'm like, no, you cannot borrow Mike's camper.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
And see I.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Get it though, because I talk about it like I
take care of that thing, like it's say, like it's
my baby. Yeah, so it's in great condition and you know,
using it would be great. But like that's just one
of those things I don't let people borrow.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
And I had to actually say that for the first
time ever.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Like nobody at all.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, I don't even think my family, Okay, I don't nobody,
not one single part. I think my my wife is
the only other person who's put it onto a vehicle,
even like anybody, she's the only one, Like it's just
her and eye outside of that.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
No, but I let neighbors borrow things that a lot
of people don't like to let people borrow like like tools,
and I'd let somebody borrow my car if they were
really in need, and.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Like, it's always a little bit awkward when someone asks
you to borrow something, like somebody asking you to borrow
your camper and then having to be like, oh, no,
I'm sorry, like I don't that's something that I just like,
I don't loan out.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
When I said it too, when I said no, I
made it definitely made it seem like, no, I don't
want you.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
But I didn't meet it like that.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I just met like and I had, and then I
tried to clear it up like no, no, I don't
mean just you, like I don't let anybody borrow it,
which made it ten times worse.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, and then they're like, oh, I guess we're not
as god of friends as I thought we were.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
But I didn't meet it like that. It's just I
don't like I'm taking it to an event on Friday.
I'm taking it out to veering some Friday and I
still want it parked off to the side, and they're
a dealership, like it doesn't it'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I get it.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
I'm just protective over it.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I totally get it six one six two four two
ninety three ninety three. What is that one thing that
you just you don't let people borrow? There's one thing
on Mike's list that you are not allowed to borrow.
Don't even ask.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
And I'm a pretty good sharer, like I'm pretty good.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I teach my kids that, but I'm pretty good about
letting people borrow things for the most part. But I
had somebody asked me if they could borrow my camper,
which is like, there are weekends where I don't take
it right, there are weekends where I'm you know, doing
stuff around here.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
And my immediate reaction was.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
No, No, It's understandable because there's just so much that
could go wrong.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, and you're not there to supervise just that thing.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Though everything else I'm pretty chill with and things happen.
But that is my that's my summer, like, that's my
this is That's what I'm gonna do all summer long. Yeah,
So if they break something, then I have to have
that conversation about like, so you broke the stove.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
It worked, it worked before, right, so.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I'm just gonna need some cash and then it's awkward
or they keep it a day longer than I want
them to, or they make me come pick it up
to get it when they should drop it off, all
these different things.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
If you have your camper hooked up to your car, yes,
and you're going on a trip and you're going with
like some buddies or something, sure, do you let one
of your buddies drive your car, like, let's say it's
kind of a longer haul trip.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Oh god, no you don't.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Oh no, no, oh, you're gonna drive the whole way?

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Absolutely well.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I wouldn't want to drive somebody else's even because if
that to say, I blow the tire out, like they're
gonna be like dude, And that's sometimes it's prevented or
it's not preventable. So like I wouldn't blame them, but
I don't want to put that on anybody else. Plus
I don't want them. I don't want them driving my stuff.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, certain things, it's just like it has too much
opportunity to make the friendship or the relationship awkward.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah, and like uncomfortable for no reason.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
What's on your list of things you won't let people borrow?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Make up?

Speaker 4 (08:12):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Like chapstick and mascara specifically.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
That seems like it would be gross. But I don't know.
I've never I.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Don't know, and you know, I get it. I want
to help the girlies out, but no I don't.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I don't have chapstick or lip gloss. Yeah, that's it's
your mouth, it's my mouth. It's like, we don't. Yeah,
we don't need money. Like if if you need me.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
To like get your coffee because we're out, or like
pick up a meal or something like, that's totally fine,
grab a drink like I down. But like a large
amount of money, Well.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
That conversation is always bad because you're a there's always
going to be a point at some point where you're like,
all right, I have to start asking them for that
money back.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I don't want to, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
And then like you know, probably to pay you back,
but in how long?

Speaker 4 (09:02):
And I don't even like to borrow money.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
I know, it's like makes me so uncomfortable. Yeah, those
are just like a couple of things because sometimes you
get burned and and you never do that again. Yes,
what don't you let people borrow from you? Six one
six two four two ninety three ninety three, Good.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Morning, Welcome to the B ninety three Morning Show, what's
your naming? Where you're from?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
What's going on? Guys Luke from Grand Rapid.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Hey, Luke, what's the one thing you won't let somebody borrow?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
I have a and everybody's like, dude, let me borrow
your hat. Let me borrow your hat. And I don't
know what it is. Man.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, it's a nice hat.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But that's just one thing I can't let another guy
put on.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
No, that's it. That's it. That's a personal item. I
don't know that I would let to me.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
That's the equivalent to like shoes, even shoes are are underwear,
like a hat is a very personal like non like
it's very unhygienic. It feels like too. Maybe I'm wrong,
though I don't know. Yeah, exactly or lice and life.
Good morning, Welcome to the B ninety three Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Actually I love it.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
So my first is my horse. Just because I have
horses doesn't mean anybody can ride them.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah, Okay, my gun because it's registered to me fair
and then my husband.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
All those are make one hundred per sense.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah, so that's my list. It's a good list.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah. They're always in like a few points of each other.
So yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
I like the orders, that's it. I like the order
you put it in too, Horse gun husband.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
