Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh is that we haven't even did Thanksgiving yet. That's
so funny, I know.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
But our sister station START one O five point seven West,
Michigan's official Christmas station, officially made the flip on Monday.
So if you are looking for you know, a little
hollier and jollier playlist, there's just down the dial.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, I mean you have to come back.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah after the morning ten to one, you could definitely
go do that.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I saw my nieces over the weekend, okay, and I
was talking to them. I'm like, hey, what do you
want for Christmas? Charlotte is seven, Violet is five, and
Milow is too. Oscar is like ten months, so you
know he's he's still getting the stuff that's like for.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Him but not really for him. Sure, yeah six stuff
he needs.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, and Charlotte was like, oh, so much stuff on
my list. So she's like telling me all this stuff.
I'm like a huh uh huh huh, Like, you know, thinking,
what's something on here that I can get?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Do you know what her parents are getting her?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
No? No I don't, but I know what I'm going
to get them. What la boo boos?

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Holy cow, they want a La Booboos.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
They want labubos.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I you know what.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I heard the craze start and then that's when the
price is shot up, and then it's kind of simmered
a little.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I don't know. I haven't looked yet.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
My daughter mentioned it when it first started, and I
immediately was like in my brain, nope, But it kind
of faded a little bit for her. But have the
has the price gone down or are they still.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I haven't even looked. I haven't even looked.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Like I have a general idea of what La Boo
boos are, like those ugly cute dolls, and they did
explain them to me in a way like I know
what a La Boo Boo is, Yeah, those little dolls.
I've seen them.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
They're like ugly beanie babies.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah yeah, But I.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Just I was not prepared. My sister was like, oh, yeah,
it's definitely. So I'm like, do kids in your class
have La Boo Boos? They're like, oh yeah, people have
like whole collection. I'm like, okay, So now we're starting
to keep up with the friend group a little bit.
You know, some of those name brands are making it
on to the list seven and five.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
That's wild.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So it looks like most oh okay, unless you're getting
like a like a really niche or like fancy labuobu.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
They're only like ten to fifteen bucks.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Okay, all right, I can do that.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I thought for some reason they were like four hundred
dollars five hundred dollars apiece. But I think it's for
like limited Like remember how you could get limited edition
beanie babies.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Like the collective.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, yeah, because these are gonna be ones they want
to play with anyways, right, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I don't think they're I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I have a so I have a six year old
and eleven year old and a two year old, and
so my six year old is right in between your nieces,
and I would say, there's nothing right now, Like.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
He isn't uh, he loves legos.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
But he's gonna play with those legos right, Like he's
not gonna take something and necessarily put it on a stand,
like he got a Funko Pop recently.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Loves it.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
He loves it right because he can put it with
dad stuff. But like it's not something he he was
going to ask for just yet, because he'd want to
play with it. In fact, the first thing he said
is he goes, Dad, I watched a video where if
like you open up there there his head. There's stuff inside,
Like there's some YouTube video about it or whatever. There's
stuff inside and you wanted it to open it up.

(03:19):
I'm like, but you don't open these. These go on
the shelf.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Is your collector's sides.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
So I think if you get the little Boo Boo,
still be a cool aunt, right, you just be. You
just don't get the the like the collectible ones.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
You just get the generic starter la boo boos.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
They did say it had to be pink, so I
don't know if there are like several pink ones to
choose from, or if the pink one is like a
specific one. Obviously I now have to do some La
Boo Boo research.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
But oh yeah, because they vary geez, yeah, they vary
it because the initial the com or this is calls it.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
The common figures are twenty to thirty five.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Guarantee they're not one of those.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Secret moonlight variant which yeah, there we go range to
one eighty two fifty K.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I have a feeling, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
There's a Christmas lab boo Boo two hundred plus is
starters starters for that one.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah, yeah, it's just not happening.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
It jumps up.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I'm the cool ant, but I'm not that cool.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
It jumps up so fast.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I'm not two hundred dollars cool. I'm like fifteen to
forty bucks school.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
The thing with Laboo Boo's too is there is no
like commercial for like a Labuobu, Like, how do kids
find out about a Laboo?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I don't know. Good morning b ninety three? Who's this?
And where are you from?

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Alexa from Caledonia?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
What's on the Christmas list this year?

Speaker 5 (04:35):
My I have a six and a nine year old
and they want uggs and a JJ McCarthy sweatshirt.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Oh JJ, why JJ?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
And I'm like, what six and nine year old asked
for uggs and a JJ McCarthy sweashert.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, can we do a little work on the J
Like what about Aiden Hutchinson?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
He's a Michigan guy.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Yeah, yep. My son doesn't even play quarterback for football either.
He's a wide receiver. I was like, don't you like
any wide receiver?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:05):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah, oh but the little tiny ugs are so cute.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
But yeah, they are, But I'm like, I don't okay,
no toys, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, that's what we've So that's kind of the route
we're on now. Is like my son and daughter both
wanted a Nintendo Switch, and I'm like, oh, well, that's
a family thing. I can justify that. But a lot
of their stuff isn't like toy stuff. So I'm like,
what do you want for toys? What do you want
to play with? And uh and but they're about the
same age too. That's interesting that it's not a lot

(05:39):
of toys.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
He starts young.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Yeah, yeah, yep.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
All right, well we'll see if we can't get you
some free money with the big dollar donkey, you get
your daughter some ugs and JJ McCarthy Jersey big.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
It is starting already. Not only did our sister station
start one o five point seven. Before I say that,
I should probably say Michigan's number one for New Country
be ninety three.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yes, just so I don't want to get in trouble
with the boss.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah yeah, but our sister stations start one of five
point seven. They did the Christmas flip on Monday, yes, yeah, yeah,
So if you're in the mood, which I have. I've
been listening in the afternoons.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah yeah, I mean I would wait till ten oh
one to switch over there, but yes, in the afternoons.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
But I was with my nieces this past weekend and
I was asking them because I won't see them for
another couple of weeks, so I'm like, what do you
want for Christmas? You know, tell me? You know the
thing at the top of their there's seven and five.
Both of them, almost unanimously at the same time, said.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
La boo boos.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Those are not like I was doing some research on them.
The intro lea boo boo, like the blind I think
it's called a blind.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Box, the gateway la booo.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, yeah, well.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
The tester it is ten to fifteen bucks, and that's
the size of like a bouncy ball or a little
bit bigger than the tiny one.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Oh yeah, they're small. They're not even the regular size.
Oh no. Then you start getting into like.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Your your real intro to like a little boo boo,
like the actual size they're like thirty, like thirty for
like a just off like just a regular one. But
then you start getting into the maybe you want a
Christmas team la boo boo.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
See, I didn't ask them what they plan to do
with these laboo boos. Are these like you're hanging them
off of your backpack or like.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Some people do that. It's yeah, I guess it just
kind of varies. I always I thought. I think the
like the really expensive ones are more of just like
a display thing. You just set them up somewhere and
just because you spent six hundred dollars on there, yeah,
or on them.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I don't know, though.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I don't know if this is a thing that mom
and dad are gonna get them so, like I'll get
it for them, but.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
I have it.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Literally, I know what a la boo boo is, like,
I have general knowledge of it, but I haven't. I
know they want like some kind of pink one. I
don't know if they have different like beanie babies. Are
there sacific ones like we were kids, we wanted specific
beanie babies.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, but the beanie babies had names.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
I think the labuobuos have like a name too, or
it's like a theme or a whatever. I don't want
to say flavor that's not right, but a theme, you
know what I mean, Like it's mystic and blah blah blah.
I think that's how that works.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
I am one percent preparing myself. I'm not going to
spend two hundred and fifty dollars on a labuobu you're
year old.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yes you're not that cool.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Yes I'm not that.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
But I am fully prepared that. I just have a
feeling that the ones they want are going to be
like the expensive ones.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Uh maybe you might, cause seven is still the age
where you could sneak in something a little bit under
the radar, but they're going to notice soon. I have
an eleven year old and a six year old.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Who are I mean?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I have a two year old as well, But he
doesn't You get him blocks and something that blinks and
he's a happy camper. Yeah, oh he doesn't. Yeah, the
dude is happy with everything. My oldest I think, what
would know the difference between like a Niche la boo boo,
a Gucci la boo boo? Oh yeah, or like a
your intro. But my kids that the loo boo boo

(09:14):
in our house is a Nintendo switch this year?

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Oh yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Or have you or Legos? Have you looked at the
price of Legos?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
No, they are like la boo Boos are They're about
the same price as the Laboo bo And I don't
know when we went from like the little blocks that
are like five bucks now three hundred dollars for a
La Boo Boo or a Lego. Sup.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Yeah, I know it starts young.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
So I'm just curious, like, what is at the top
of your kids Christmas list this year? Six one, six, two, four, two,
ninety three, ninety three? Anybody else have a La Boo
bo on the list? Where are we getting these? And
do they make dupes? All right, what's at the top
of the list this year?

Speaker 6 (09:54):
Well, I actually don't have a top of the list.
They have something about Legos. Yeah, oh yeah, my uh
my son is a teenager and I found a bunch
of a big lot, I mean thousands of Legos on
shop Goodwill, Like they don't see them in their store,
but if you like Shopgodwill dot com.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Like I literally just dropped everything he was holding.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
Yes, go go go upstant at thousands of them, like
they sell him big lots awesome. That might save you
some money.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Oh that yeah, because you know the price.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
I mean it's the Boo Boo esque where Legos like
a new set let's say you want Harry Potter or
anything Mario uh lego set.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
It's like four hundred dollars for them.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
I know it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
This is this is very nice thing. I'll see what
we can find on there. Good shout, thank you, Good morning.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Be nanety three. Who's this and where are you from?

Speaker 5 (10:49):
This is Courtney from Portage Courtney.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
What's on the list this year?

Speaker 6 (10:54):
Oh boy?

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Well, you know the love Boo Boos are on the list.
They've officially made it. They're a little creepy for me,
but that's okay.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Know they are so weird.

Speaker 6 (11:09):
They yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
They My girls are eight and five and they are
obsessed with them.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
So they have.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
They do.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Yes, they have a couple of them and they just
I guess they like to collect them, so I don't.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
Know, they're at that age.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
And then the reborn.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Baby dolls like the real ones, Yes they look real.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
Yes, they want those two.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
And then you know, my eight year old wants a
hoverboard and I don't know if I'm I don't know
if I'm not prepared for that one.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
So start selling solar panels.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
If he gets a horverboard.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Yeah, he needs a driver's training permit for that.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah, I'm like, you're gonna be fully suited at this point,
because I'm not.

Speaker 6 (11:57):
We're not ending up in the.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Hospital on Christmas.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
That's not gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Oh Courtney, best of luck to you this holiday season.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Thanks you, guys. They're actually in the car with me
right now.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
