Speaker 1 (00:00):
Michigan's number one for a new country B ninety three.
It is the B ninety three Morning Show. My name
is Mike Ellie mac back. Wednesday at at five am.
That is when I say specific time because that is
when the bet ends with the boss and we are
about three hundred and eighty three to go.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
That being said, we're moving forward.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I'm not going to get into it as much today
because I don't want to save Hima's nest. So let
me ask you this question. Have you or someone you've
been calling picked up the phone, whether it be FaceTime
or just a phone call or speaker phone, whatever it
might be, when they shouldn't have. I can't be the

(00:44):
only one that's ever done this. Six one, six two
four to two ninety three ninety three. I'll grab your
calls here in a second. But let me tell you
what happened. So my I have three kids. I have
an eleven year old, a six year old and a
two year old. My two that are in school. I
Low and Cecily had conferences recently. I think everybody's in

(01:05):
that mode of conferences. And they actually had Monday off too,
but so we had to do conferences. It's tricky. Anybody
with more than one child, you know, varying ages, knows
it's tough to kind of do conferences in person. Because
my youngest is two, and if I try to take
him and my six year old to a too conferences,

(01:30):
they're going to be all over the place, jumping on stuff.
They make it maybe five, ten, fifteen minutes before I
either have a choice. I can get out a phone,
or we could try to do some coloring stuff, or
they're running all over.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
And let me tell you this, I wasn't in the
mood to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I was not in the mo They do something great
with conferences, They make it very quick, but this was
like the first one of the year, so like I
want to be there to meet the teacher and all
this other stuff. I couldn't. I had to stay home.
My youngest was not having it. There was one moment
where my kindergartener was also not having it, and so
I'm like, you know what, take our daughter to her conferences.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
I'll sit back with the kids. But this is what
I want you to do.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I want you to face on me when you get there,
because I want to make sure that I at least
have some FaceTime with his teacher, since I haven't really
met her in person. So my wife calls me for
conferences and I am in the bathroom and I have
told her up until this point, like you gotta FaceTime.
I have to talk to this teacher. So I cannot

(02:35):
ignore this call. So what do I do? That phone rings?
I pick up them FaceTime mode. I should have just
answered regular mode, but I picked up in FaceTime mode
and it's super zoomed in on my face. And then
at that exact moment, I hear a because my little

(02:56):
one's knocking at the door trying to get in the bathroom,
because I can't go to the bathroom without a little
kid in the room, And so I have to like
balance it out of like, hey, nice to meet you.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Hey, I was so good.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
She had to have known I haven't asked the questionnaire.
But she had to have known I was out the toilet.
She had to have No, there's ways, no way she
didn't know. We're talking worst places you either should or
you shouldn't have answered the phone. Like the worst place
you answered the phone, you or someone you know, because
there's always somebody whos picked up the phone. You're like,

(03:32):
why did you pick up the phone right now. Long
story short, I picked up a FaceTime with my kid's
teacher from the toilet. I didn't have a choice. I begged,
I begged for my wife to make sure that I
that she facetimed me while while she was talking with
the teacher. I had to meet the teacher. I couldn't

(03:52):
be there. I had to stay home with the little ones.
And it was like a perfect storm off. She called
right then I had to answer because it was our
time slot or whatever. The kids were knocking on the
door while I'm in there, and I'm like, I'm trying,
not like to keep it zoomed on my face six
one six two four two ninety three ninety three make
me feel better about this? Good morning, B ninety three?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
What's your name? Away from?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Hi? I'm Alisia and I'm from.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Hastings, Alicia. Name of Tim? You or someone you know
shouldn't have answered the phone.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
It was my mom. What happened at the hospital was
my grandma. And you know those phones they have inside
the hospital room, Yeah, yeah, that started ringing and my
mom answered it.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
What did she say? What did she think they were
calling for?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
I don't even know, but they were asking for a doctor.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
She's like, Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Okay, that's just I think that's just human nature, just
to pick up a phone when it's ringing.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yeah, that's so great. Thanks for the call. I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Michigan's number one for new country be ninetyree so to
be ninety te Morning showed I took a FaceTime from
the toilet during my kids conferences. I know I shouldn't
have done it, but I didn't have a choice. I
had to answer the FaceTime. I was editing a video.
And the worst part is the only reason I was
home is to be home with the little kids, like
the little once I had two year old and six

(05:17):
year old, and every parent knows this.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
This second you go on to toy Lottch you hear daddy, daddy.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
So I'm trying to zoom in on my own face
while talking to the teacher, hoping that she can't see
and or hear anything.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
When shouldn't you have answered the phone? But she did?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Ninety three? Good morning, be ninety three. What's your name
away from Hi?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
It's Marina growing rapids?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
All right? What name of time? You shouldn't have answered
the phone? What you did.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I actually wanted to just give you some reassurance. As
a teacher myself, I would have absolutely made my night.
I hope she did didn't notice, but like the the
camera was so zoomed down my face, all you could
see was my like so close, like I was talking
to a kid or something. It was so so close,
and all you heard in the background, I'm trying to

(06:13):
talk loud as this is happening. All you heard in
the background is Daddy knock it on the door and
there's an echo.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
And she knew. There's no way she didn't know.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Mad respect for you trying to show up when you
couldn't physically be there.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I appreciate all we care about it. I appreciate that.
I appreciate that. Thank you. I need more reassurance that
was me during conferences.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's basically gets someone over New Country B ninety three
with the B ninety three Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
My name is Mike. So I think parents are late.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I think anybody who's ever picked up a phone when
they shouldn't have, or called somebody who shouldn't have picked
up a phone can relate.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Have you ever.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Had a time where you or someone you know shouldn't
have answered the phone, whether it's a FaceTime or phone call.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Long story short. My kids conferences were last week.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I had to stay home with the two boys, but
I wanted to meet the new teacher, so I said, Hey,
my wife, Ally, uh, can you just face Timmy when
you get there. You only get a certain amount of
time to talk to this teacher. It's like a quick
in and out. So I'm just like, just face Timy,
you know whatever. In that time, I had the bubble guts,

(07:30):
so I was in the bathroom editing a video.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
When I got the FaceTime. I didn't have a choice.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I had to answer, didn't have a choice, had to
pick up right in that moment, zoomed in on my face,
super close so she couldn't tell what I was doing.
Then five seconds into it, there's a knock at the
door and my youngest son is yelling.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Daddy, let me in, Daddy, potty, daddy potty. Cool name
of time?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
You shouldn't answer the phone, but you did one good morning.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
What's your name? Where you from?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
My name is Nicka from Grand Rapids.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Nick. What name of time? You or someone you know
shouldn't have answered the phone?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Called into a business meeting, was in the last couple
of weeks and a guy didn't know that he had
his camera on and he was taking a shower, and
all twenty people on the call got to see everything
of this man.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Oh did anybody say anything? They just let him go,
not a word.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
We just sat there.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Does he still have worked there?

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah, he still works there. We just found out a
week ago.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
He still works there.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
He's still good. Okay, Well, I guess that's good. Do
you guys make like little puns like, Hey, I don't
even know what you call?

Speaker 2 (08:39):
What's his name? What's his first name?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Matt?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah? We hey math, Matt?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Hey, smr.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Eric is on the line. What's up, buddy?

Speaker 1 (08:49):
You got a good story about the time you shouldn't
answered the phone? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:54):
I was actually playing my chance to when's the Big
Dog Donkey? And I was hoping what was that?

Speaker 2 (09:01):
But I got a phone call saying, Hey, is this
Eric Agela?

Speaker 3 (09:06):
I'm like, you have this says do you happen to
know your children's names?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
What?

Speaker 4 (09:11):
I'm like, I have no kids.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I'm aware of What was it? What did they want?
Were they trying to spam me on something?

Speaker 4 (09:19):
I would assume so, But I just kind of hung
up afterwards.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, that's the thing with it. Thanks for calling Eric.
That's the thing with a big dollar donkey is you
might get a call from a number you don't recognize.
That's the time you should answer your phone. By the way,
Uh pick it up and then if you get a
weird comment like that, hang up the phone. But nine
times out of ten, we won't ask you your kid's names.
Ten times out of ten we won't ask you your
kids' names. I will just tell you want a thousand

(09:43):
dollars and then go from there. So that's the time
I would say at the other end of this, you
should definitely pick up your phone. If you've entered for
that big dollar donkey, when did you answer the phone?
And you totally should And good morning be ninety three.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Hey, my show to you every day. Oh so this
one's embarrassed and okay, but here it is. So my
buddy seek here gives me a call one day, right,
and something in me, man, I just had to be
you know, it's really bad. Wasn't thinking about it? Sure,
the guy calls me. I didn't realize it was a
video call. So I accept the call, right, I accept

(10:21):
the call and set the phone down on the on
the window feel and next thing I know, my buddy's going, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
He got a full show. There.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
There is a different ring, but I get it. I
get it, and especially the fear that comes inside of
me when you hear that doom, because the video had
started the fear, the pit in my stomach if I'm
in an awkward situation like that,
