Speaker 1 (00:01):
Michigan's number one for new country B ninety three. It's
the B Natty three morning show. I'm Ali Mack.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
And I am Mike.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
What happened?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
So we went to Nashville this last weekend. It was
my wife and it was a co worker and his family.
But he's really a friend outside of work, Like I
hang out. I've hung out with him, you know, almost
my entire time being here. Even before he worked here,
we hung out. And so I've watched his daughters grow up.
They're like in the mid twenties now, and like my
wife and his wife are very close, and so we
(00:32):
decided to all go on this Nashville trip together.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
So they have a timeshare in Nashville.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh yeah, Well I think it's everywhere, but I think
it's like one of those time shares where you could
go and it's like a It was right in Nashville,
right across the street from the Grand Ole Opry.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Oh nice.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
It was incredible, beautiful spot, beautiful place, and so it
was kind of cool. We had our own little section
and they had their own little section, and it was
a very cool thing. And you would think, like this
story I'm about to tell you has to do with
oh you had too many drinks at like posting yeah,
and broke a glass at the bar or or anything
(01:12):
anything besides what I'm about to tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
At some point we decided we wanted to wash our
driving home clothes.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Okay, yeah, So, like I like to wear certain things,
especially when I'm road tripping or flying. Really so whatt pants,
sweatshirt specific ones.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
So we're gonna wash them.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
So I go to throw them in the washer and
then go to throw them in the dryer, and then
I leave to go get brunch. I don't know what
happened in that time between there, but the dryer imploded
on itself and the filter blew out with like the
piece to it. And so while I was gone, I
guess for like an ran for fifty minutes. It sounded
(01:52):
like there were shoes in the dryer and it was
just going do do and they were so nice about
it that there were like we thought you were just
drying like your shoes, like you spilled the drink on
your shoes or something. In reality, the dryer like exploded
and it just ran. Oh no, I don't. I don't
know that it did or didn't ruin anything. I'm waiting
(02:13):
to hear if like I owe them money or or
what happened.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
But likely this was not something that like you broke,
I mean like you.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
No, no, And it's one of those ones that it's
like a smaller one that they're like attached to each other,
like they're stacked on top of each other. And so
I thought maybe the thing was just uneven, Like maybe
there was a million scenarios that ran in my head.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
And I said, if we get back to that that
hotel and.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
There's shoes in there, like I accidentally threw shoes in there,
I'm gonna be so mad.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
But have you ever broke anything on vacation?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Like that's the it's the worst, because I now I
have to wait, I just wait, do I owe money?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Do I? You know?
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Plas never intentionally right, like oh, there's an accident, but yeah,
but yeah, past summer, we were at like a beautiful
house on Lake Michigan up in Harbor Springs with my
entire family. Yeah, and I went to take a shower
and like I hung my towel, my towel up on
like a hook they had in the wall, and the
hook just completely came out of the wall and like
(03:15):
was laying on.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
The look gripped it. Do you think it was broke before? Yes,
I do. Somebody just kind of put it back up.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yes, that's exactly what I think happened. But the panic
is like, I'm gonna get blamed for this. I'm gonna
get charged for this because obviously they didn't know about it.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
H So, yeah, it happens.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I would love to hear the BNA three listener family story.
Where did you accidentally break something on vacation? Now it
didn't ruin the trip or anything, but I still feel
really bad.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Six one, six two four to two ninety three ninety.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Three, Good morning, Welcome to the b ninety three Morning Show.
What's your name and where are you from?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Angel?
Speaker 6 (03:50):
From Rockford?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Angel? When did you accidentally break something on vacation?
Speaker 6 (03:54):
My wife and I we took some girls when they
were younger to Disney World and on the way back
we flu into Chicago and one of the straps from
the Little Kick carriers the car seats landed into the
escalator and I yanked it out and the escalator quit working.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Oh my god, Hey, that was a you had a
split decision, split second to make a decision there like
it was the escalator or your kid.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Right, what happens in that situation.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
At least the car seat?
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, does it shut down the whole thing?
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Like does everybody keep walking? What happens in that situation?
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Well, yeah, you know the kids are crying and escalator
stopped working and everybody just kept walking past me.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Oh yeah, we had like you know that. Man, Man,
that's a great story. Thanks for calling.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
It had no problem, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
B ninety three Morning Show. I'm Ali Max. Now, Mike,
I'm sort of giggling about this.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
I feel like we've all accidentally done this, maybe on purpose,
but hopefully for the We'll give you bed at the
bit of the doubt, and we would just say it
was an accident. I'm gonna tell you first that I
was trying to be a good husband.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Of course.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
So we went to Nashville over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
We went with he works here, his name is town Farmer,
but he's also a friend outside of a coworker. We
went with this family and his daughters I've watched grow up.
They're like in their twenties now. So we're like, we're
going to Nashville. We're just going to have a great time.
I don't know if you do this when you travel,
but we like to travel in like specific sweatpants and
sweatshirts or whatever, whether we're driving or flying.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Yeah, the travel fit, yes, exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
So we were road tripping back and we wanted to
make sure that those clothes were clean. And we had
one last night there, one final day of going out
and doing stuff. So we stayed in this time share
that they had and we My wife was like, can
you put the clothes in the washer and then throw
them in the dryer and then we'll meet up in
a little bit.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
So yeah, sure, no problem.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
So I put them in the washer, they washed, I
put them in the dryer, they started drying, and I left.
I went to go meet them and go on with
my day. Well, I guess in that time that I left,
it blew out the entire like filter inside of this
dryer to the point where like an entire piece came
out and then just started rattling in the dryer and
(06:23):
it was like shoes.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
They said, it sounded like shoes in a dryer. Oh,
and they're like, what did you put in there?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Where They were like, we thought you put shoes or
something in They said, no, it was just sweatpants, and
so I don't think it's fully broken. I don't think,
but I said, if it is, just let me know
and I'll fix whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
I don't think that's on you.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
There's no way that like two outfits, an outfit for
you and that outfit for your wife, right like that
was that was it?
Speaker 4 (06:50):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
There's no way that breaks a dryer.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I didn't think so either. Maybe it was broke already.
And I mean, I'm sure a lot of people don't
use those when they go, but.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
You might get blame for it. Is that where you're worried.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I mean, I'll figure I'll pay for it either way,
but I feel bad, like you never want to go
on vacation and stay in a place or go especially
in somebody else's place, and break something.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, you know, I don't think you broke it though,
there's no way.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
I don't think so either, But I used it so
like I'm gonna get blamed for it. Have you ever
accidentally broke anything on vacation or maybe on purpose, but
hopefully it was an accident.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Good morning, Welcome to the BE ninety three Morning Show.
What's your name and Where you're from Jenny from Holland
what can we do for you? Jenny?
Speaker 7 (07:32):
So I have a story of someone who broke something,
but I got blamed for it.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Oh really, what happened?
Speaker 7 (07:38):
So my in laws have a trailer up in Lelanov.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
County, Okay, and they have a golf's.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
Heart and my daughter and my husband and my mother
in law were driving the golf's cart and my husband
went so fast over the speed bumps that he broke
the golf cart.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Oh jeez, oh no, but we did know.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
It was broken until it was my turn to.
Speaker 8 (08:03):
Drive the golf car.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Oh, so it's your fault, my fault.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
And I said, I don't know how I did it,
and we were on the other side of the trailer park.
Like so, anyway, my husband's not allowed to drive a
golf car and they got.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
A new one. But good morning, Welcome to the B
ninety three Morning Show. What's your name? Away from Katie
seling O, Katie, when did you accidentally break something on vacation?
Speaker 8 (08:30):
So over Labor Day, we were camping and we were
pulling like I was pulling out of the camping spot
and normally you would have to turn left, but there
was a whole bunch of kids, like playing and everything.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Yeah, like pulled right.
Speaker 8 (08:44):
And ran over the blackwater hookup.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Oh my gosh, did that damage anything, like your car
or anything.
Speaker 8 (08:53):
No, it didn't damage the car, but it did break
the pipe for the blackwater hookup.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Else.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, because that's the that's the y uy yeah, yup, Rob.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
When did you accidentally break something on vacation?
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Okay, so this was back about fifteen years We were
on vacation in Florida at Orange Lake and my daughter
locked herself in the bathroom. She was about three, and
decided that red fingernail polish on white cabinet would be
a great decorating idea.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Beautiful, it goes well together.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
Yeah, it was really bad. And you know, you try
all you tend to get that off, and it is terrible.
So the white cabinets were a shade of really light
pink and that's how we left it.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Did they ever say anything, No.
Speaker 5 (09:52):
They didn't, Thank goodness, Oh my goodness, that would have
been terrible.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I thought for sure you were going to say rest
in peace to that bathroom dor because we had to
break it down.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Yeah, oh goodness, thanks.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
For the call this morning.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Appreciate it Yeah, have a good one, see ye
