Speaker 1 (00:00):
B ninety three Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm Adley Mac and I am Michael.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Here are Michael today?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Well it's wine, beer and food festival weekend, so I
feel like, so we're Michael this week. I gotta go
the Yeah, it's like a long like it feels like
the fancy version of my name.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Okay, yeah, all right, I love this journey for you. Yeah,
and Michael and Michael. Okay, here are three things you
should know today. Heads up, if you are flying soon,
the TSA considering an eighteen dollars fee, even for Michael
he forgets his real idea passport. Those names better match

(00:37):
on there the same it's verifying your identity would take longer,
extra time, extra resources. This fee would kick in once
the TSA launches its new backup ID check system, and
they are reminding everybody to get your real ID or
bring your passport so you're not charged at the airport.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
That's an annoyance, but once you get it, it's really
not thatic of it like it's it is quicker. They
flip it up, look at it. I think they scan
it maybe like they did before, but it just seems quicker.
We never had to wait for anything, And.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I think with your reality, you can go to Canada
and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So yes, yeah, yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Another perk of that reality too. Amazon sending out those
refund checks they had started paying eligible Prime members as
part of a two and a half billion dollar FTC
settlement overclaims the company tricked people into signing up for
Prime and then made it too hard to cancel. Yeah,
if you enrolled between twenty nineteen and twenty twenty five
and barely used Prime, you could get up to fifty
one dollars back. Payments go out now through December via PayPal,

(01:32):
Venmo or check.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
You're gonna send me a check? Amazon? You can't, you
can't just put it in my I hope it's a big.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Check today shipping fingers cross, Yeah, why is it taking
so long? Michigan's biggest tasting event is back this weekend
at DeVos Place. Of course, we're talking about the Grand
Rapids International Wine, Beer and Food Festival. Doors open today
at four o'clock. They open tomorrow at two o'clock. Tickets
start at just twenty five bucks and trust us yourself,

(02:00):
because the festival is huge. If you see us around
this weekend, make sure you say hi, Yes, please They're
also going to be some celebs in the building. Isaiah Thomas, Yeah,
has a new champagne and be a legend. Former Lion
Mike Tulleck has a coffee and a children's book, right Yeah.
And the guitar player and vocalist from One Republic also

(02:24):
has a wine at the festival.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
If you're looking for a little preview of it, maybe
you want to. I like to plan out my wine
beering food festival. Where I'm going to start. I know
where I'm gonna end, Like where my night's going to end.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Cut Water. That's where you're gonna end that. I'm not
starting at Cutwater.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
That's a night right there. Make sure you follow our
Facebook lives. We're gonna be there from like eleven o'clock today,
Ali mac on Aaron on Air, Mike, that's.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Three things you should know. Here's one you probably shouldn't.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
This is my dream. Dessert's only.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Thanksgiving is becoming a more popular thing if the turkey
you skip this. I do like sides, but you skip
all of that and you just eat dessert for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
We're talking pies.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
We're talking puppy chow, cookies, candies, everything that's all you eat.
The idea is simple, ditch the stress of roasting a bird,
making all those sides, focused on what everybody loves the most,
which is the sweets. Life is short, according to this,
eat dessert. If you want to my if we want

(03:32):
to do Thanksgiving this year and it's just carrot cake,
that's okay.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
But I'm not cooking.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
My mom's cooking this year, so she could do whatever
she wants. But I think this is a great idea.
I would do this just. I want to do this
just on everyday thing.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Everybody's favorite Thanksgiving catsphrase, just a sliver, just a sliver.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
What is your favorite not just side favorite food on Thanksgiving?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Green bean cast role that is such a great one.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Is my number one? Mashed potatoes in at number two?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Do you put things in the mashed potatoes like your turkey?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I like to have some by itself first with the gravy, okay,
and then we start mixing in the best thing is
just mixing everything together the day after to make like
a bowl, some kind of you know, like a Thanksgiving bowl. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Absolutely, And then we need to have maybe a debate
next week on this.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I say carrot cake is Thanksgiving food.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, I know you do.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
And we asked Alexa, Alexa, what blog?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
What's like little blog from like Idaho was like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
No, I totally totally is.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Jess and I were like, isn't it easter?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I think everybody thinks because it's carrots.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Apparently it's all holiday food.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
At three Sport Red Wings beat or lost to the
Islanders yesterday five to zero.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
A lot happening this week in Michigan State basketball.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
They play University of Detroit Mercy today at five point

two pm on Saturday versus Iowa. Also on Big one
oh one point three uf M football against they're playing

(05:23):
seven thirty five pm on our sister station Talk twelve
thirty am. And then Lions on Sunday against the Giants.
I'm not I don't know. I'm not concerned about this game.
But also, the Giants have lost in very close games,
so it doesn't mean they're bad. It just means they
if one or two plays win a different way, they
could have won. So this, I mean, this is gonna

(05:45):
be a game. It's gonna be a good game. That
game starts at noon. You can hear that on our
sister station, Big one on one point three. Speaking of
the Lions, Herman Moore just announced as the Grand Marshall
for the Grand Rapids Santa Parade tonight. So he'll be
kicking things off tomorrow, Yes, yes, tomorrow. He'll be kicking
things off at five pm tomorrow and then at six
