B ninety three Morning show.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
I'm Ally Mack and I'm Mike.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Here are three things you should know today. Twenty three
year old guy stabbed multiple times Friday night at the
Walmart on Alpine. I don't know what is going on
at Walmart's in Michigan right now, but this was in
Comstock Park. Police believe it was unprovoked bystanders. Help stop
the twenty nine year old suspect who was hit by
a car while he was trying to flee, and then

(00:24):
they held him until deputies arrived. The victim is in
stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Heads up for college students.
The Better Business Bureau warning about fake rental listings targeting
students scrambling for.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Last minute housing.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Scammers are posting fake listings. They're taking your deposit and
then just vanishing, which leaves you with no money and no.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Place to live.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Red flags if you cannot tour the place before. Red
flag if they ask for gift cards or wired transfers.
Red flag if the rent seems too good to be true.
Red flag. Stick with trusted sources. Verify who you are
dealing with.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
You're telling me that Best Buy gift cards will not
pay my rent.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
It's so weird. I know, John Ball Zoo eyeing a
former landfill site in Walker for a massive three hundred
and fifty million dollar aquarium project. They're aiming to have
this open by twenty thirty one. County leaders weighing environmental
risks and also potential public funding, including hotel tax dollars.
Zoo officials say it would boost tourism and it would

(01:28):
not take away from planned Zoo upgrades. If you have
not seen the pictures of this online, it looks super cool.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah, oh, it looks so cool something we don't have
too right now. It's I mean, are we becoming a city?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
We're quite the destination these days. I guess so that
Amphitheater is going to open up, that soccer stadium. I
just mean we're already a destination for concerts because we've
got Fanandel, the Intersection twenty. But this stuff is crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, it's gonna. It's gonna no pun inten is gonna
amplify our tourism. And don't you think, like look at
this around us, like Chicago and Detroit, like the things
that they have we're getting, but like we're still this little.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I don't think they have an aquarium in Detroit though either.
I mean, they've got stuff at the Detroit Zoo, but
not like a dedicated aquarium. You're right, super COOLi I
hope this goes through. That's three things you should know.
Here is one you probably shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I love a good Reddit thread. Love a good Reddit thread.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
If someone broke into your house right now and stole
what's on top of your fridge?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
What are they getting?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Nothing, you have nothing on top of your fridge.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Well, I have a cabinet on top of my fridge.
Does that count?

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Sure, let's go with that too. Okay, Okay, that's a
good one. I have a.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Carbon monoxide detector that's not working. Googn okay. And some
sort of scrap book and I'm not sure what's in it.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I haven't looked at it a long time. I have
no idea.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
So they would get those things on this list, along
with the ones that we just gave you.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Cereal five year old tequila.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, a pretty nice mixer, a crock pot, the microwave,
dog treats, old Halloween candy, cookbooks, lots and lots of cookbooks.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I'm gonna post this on Facebook. Two, So if you
got a good one post hit of the Copts.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
That is just it's no man's land up there. Yeah,
you know, you don't know where to put something.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Put it above the fridge.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Is it common too everywhere to have a because I
know in the Midwest it's very common to have a
shelf for a cupboard right above your fridge.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I think I have one too, but I just don't
put anything in it. Does everywhere have one? Is it
like that at everybody's house or is it just here
in the Midwest.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, that's a good question because I definitely thought basements
were a thing everywhere and was very shocked when I learned, like, no,
not every state in America have basements.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
That was wild to learn. So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
You think you know these things and then you really
don't know. Here's Fetaddy three Sports.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Tigers lost their series with Philly. Philly was up two
to one on that series. They play Minnesota starting today.
Pregame starts at six fifteen. You could hear that on
our sister station.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
