Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety three morning show. I'm Ali Max Mike. Here are
three things you should know today. Former Detroit Pistons player
Lindsay Hunter has stepped down as the Sparta High School
boys varsity basketball coach. He cited family health issues. Just
a couple months before the season officially kicks off, the
district announced longtime coach Scott Barry, who retired last season,
is going to come back to lead the program. Sparta

(00:22):
opens their season December ninth against Wayland, so definitely send
in some good vibes that way. Hope everything's okay. Robot
umpires come into Major League Baseball in twenty twenty six. Now,
just based on that alone, it sounds kind of scary.
Human umpires are still going to call the balls and
the strikes, but pitchers, batters and catchers can challenge up
to two calls per game using the Automated Ball Strike

(00:44):
System extra challenges in extra innings. Of course, reviews will
be shown on video boards, a move that the MLB
hopes will cut down on ejections and add some consistency
while keeping some of the human elements still in the game.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
You mentioned a great movie earlier in Awesome Sauce.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Another movie pitch idea is we get these AI robots
to come in and that's how Terminator starts. That's how
I'm just I realize it's just a replay thing now,
but imagine when there's robot umpires and they decide they
don't like the fact that we're yelling at them and
their faces.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
I mean, IMLB is behind on this. You know everybody
else is doing it. Football's doing it, even Tennis is
doing it with the line calls like.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
This is challenge ideas are great? Are a great idea, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Especially because we kind of see the replays like on
TV with baseball anyway, and it is kind of wild
that they can't like call up and watch it like
they do in football.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yes, it should be able to.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So hopefully this helps with that South American crocodile found
a new home at a Michigan zoo after it was
discovered just kind of hanging out in somebody's front yard.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
No thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Hampton Township police responded to a report of an alligator.
Instead they found a three foot crocodile. It is hard
to tell the difference. Yeah, just chilling under somebody's crab
apple tree. They don't know if this belonged to somebody
or I mean their thinking it did.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
I hope so, because if crocodiles are making their way
up here, the world is evolving. And if if the
world is evolving, we're gonna have winter crocodiles at some
point and I really don't want that.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Or just like I can't remember the difference alligators and crocodiles.
One lives in saltwater, one lives in freshwater. Anyways, we
got a lot of water in Michigan. Oh, let's not.
Let's keep that on the d ol with the crocodiles.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Yeah, I've made a pact with a deal with the
alligators and crocodiles.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I won't go to their home if they don't come
to my home.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I think that's fair.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, and that seems seems to have worked so far.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
That's three things you should know. Here's one you probably shouldn't.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
There's a list on Reddit of the most quotable movies.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
As somebody walked up to you and said, name your
first favorite movie quote or a movie quote right off
the top of your head, what would it be?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
And people have come up with a list. Mine is
still to this day.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
And I realize that I haven't grown as a human
now that I say it out loud, Still Step Brothers
and Still Anchorman. If you asked me to quote a
movie immediately, those are the first two movies that instantly
pop in my head, and I feel like I should
culture myself a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, but I don't care. I don't care.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Airplane on that list, Shrek, The Princess Bride, Mighty Python
and the Holy Grail.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I think that's a generational thing. But that is a
good movie.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Back to the Future, the Big Lebowski, Caddyshack, Pulp Fiction,
Christmas Vacation, all on that list. Mean girls on that list, Yeah,
that's a good one. Dumb and Dumber, Napoleon Dynamite.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
That list.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
No, Home Alone, No, but that is a good one. Ah,
that is a good one. My cousin Vinnion there but no,
I don't know that. That is a great one. That
is a great one.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
A lot. Yeah, there's a lot on here that I
kind of get. But there's there's a few.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Legally Blond I never really got into, but I hear
it's really Wayne's world, very quotable.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, Legally Blonde was. Yeah. Home Alone is though, too,
I think, Yeah, Yes, one of the greatest movies ever.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yes, another Christmas in the Trenches easy on the Pepsi
Fuller Classic. I am a little bit offended that it
didn't make the list.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Well, we both could go to with our complaints.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Today Feed Nay three Sports.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Tigers verse Cleveland today. They did play him yesterday as well,
in game two of the three games series. They lost
five to one. They are now down officially one game
on Cleveland, which puts some second in the division, still
chance at playoffs, but we don't want to keep losing
these games. They played Cleveland again at six fifteen today.
You can hear that on our sister station. Would Radio

(04:47):
Red Wings play Buffalo in a preseason game at seven
