Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the B ninety three Morning Show. I'm Ali Mack Mike.
It is seven twenty six. Here are three things you
should know today. After hours of deliberation in the case
against former GRPD officer Christopher Sure, the jury was sent
home yesterday without a verdict in this stage or really
not sure exactly how long it might take them to
deliberate and come to a verdict. If convicted, surefaces up

(00:24):
to life in prison. Our sister station, Wood Radio has
continuing coverage on one OHO, six nine FM and thirteen
hundred AM. More infos surfacing about that big police presence.
Yesterday morning in Muskegan, a man shot and injured a
Muskegan Heights police officer and fired at other people in
the neighborhood around seven forty five. After a pursuit, in

(00:45):
multiple exchanges of gunfire, both by residents and then police,
the man was eventually shot and killed by police. The
officer that was shot was released from the hospital yesterday.
In protocol, Michigan State Police has now taken over the investigation.
Rest in Peace.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Skype.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Microsoft no longer offering Skype. You can't find it, you
won't be able to access it. They are streamlining their
free communication options, which is basically code for just download
free Microsoft Teams instead. Yep, you're gonna be able to
export your data if you're into that sort of thing.
I would love to go back and see some of

(01:23):
my earlier Skype transactions because that was like the first
thing I put on my laptop. When I went to
college at Grant Valley, we were on Skype all the time.
We would skype each other from across the hall from
different schools, would skype.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
My parents just to say yeah, because it was like
FaceTime before FaceTime, right, and yeah, I remember using it
a little. I haven't used I think a lot of
us have you skyped in a really long time, And
they shouldn't be sad that Skype is leaving because like,
I haven't used it, but it's like it's like Vine.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Once it was gone, I'm like, oh man.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, but honestly, once the last time anybody has used all.
They tried to bring it back a little bit during
the pandemic, but at that point, teams and I think
Zoom was like, yeah, the big the big guy on campus.
So that's three things you should know. Here is one
you probably shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
A Florida dad just dropped a video with how much
a day at Disney actually costs for a family of five,
and we just went to Universal. So I'll tell you this.
It's not it's it's not the same as what he has.
Family of five for him is fourteen hundred dollars for
one day at Disney World. And that's totally doable, especially

(02:34):
if you have kids over a certain age. Right now,
our son, youngest son is so little, we don't have
to pay anything for him.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
He's free.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Oh yeah, plus plus milo is a certain age, so
you pay less and cecily you just pay the regular
ticket price. But if you there's certain ways to get
around this. But if you eat there, if you get
a if you get if you get what was it
called souvenirs from there, you could probably spend at least
fourteen at Disney a day. We did much less, much

(03:04):
much much less. I mean tickets were probably a third
of that, but still you could go for a lot less.
It's wild to see, though, how much it's gone up
sixty percent in the last decade. In the last decade,
I would recommend bringing your own snacks. I would recommend.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
That surprised me when I went to Disney with my
nieces and nephew.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I was surprised that you could bring in snacks and
certain drinks.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Well, they yes, and they get you though because they
have around every corner.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
They in a good way.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I mean they have snacks too you could buy, but
it's all like Disney theme So like that Disney ice cream, Yeah,
is delicious.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I don't know what they made it out of. It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, but it's shaped like Mickey, So you're gonna buy
it even though you brought in eight million snacks. And
you want the Disney lunches and Disney you know, the
character lunches or whatever. You got to do it at
least once.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
And that is the ultimate money saving hack at these
theme parks is that you have to bring Aunt Ali because.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
She buys you stuff. Yes, bring the aunt. That is
a good one.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
That's it's a good money saving tip because that next
time we have so much fun. And you know, I
love to spend money like there are no consequences, especially
on my my little people.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, and then you get the benefit of like sugaring
them up and then they go home to mom and dad.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, so you get to have all the fun and
then they go home to them out. That's smart.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Did it offset the cost so much for my sister
and my brother in law? Not really, because they did
pay for my ticket because I agreed. I agreed to
go so that they weren't out numbered by the kids.
But man, we had a time.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It's the best.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Everybody got a souvenir, everybody got everybody popcorn whatever.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I love Disneys to Tigers play Colorado today at eight
point fifteen pm.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
You can hear that on our sister station would Radio.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Griffins lost Game two of their playoff series right now
against the Stars.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
They lost four to two. Game three is Friday.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
They're down to zero, so this could be the final game,
or this is the start of their comeback and they
win the next three and win the entire thing. That
game is seven forty five on Friday, which you can
hear on our sister station.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Ninety six won the game.
