Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm Ali Mack Mike. Here are three things you should

(00:03):
know today. After Sunday's deadly church shooting in Grand Blank Township,
churches across West Michigan are stepping up security. The West
Michigan Church Security Network, which includes over one hundred congregations,
is working with the Kent County Sheriff's Office to train
staff and volunteers on how to respond to emergencies. Kind
of sad news in the country world, Nicole Kidman and

(00:24):
Keith Urban have reportedly split up after nineteen years of marriage.
Sources told People magazine that Kidman didn't want this and
has been leaning on her sister and family for support,
while Urban has been living separately in Nashville since early summer.
The couple got married in two thousand and six, and
they've got two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Sad news that is said.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Open Ai just rolled out instant checkout, letting people buy
products directly through chat GPT whoa The future is live
for us et C sellers now with over a million
Shopify stores coming soon. Works for free plus and pro
users using saved payment info. Are you giving your payment

(01:05):
in photo CHAGYPT? Not yet not yet, not yet Etsy
in Shopify stocks each jumped five percent after the announcement,
signaling just how big this could be for shopping inside
chat Gypt.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Seems big for them, dangerous for us?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, but I think about remember when they rolled out
shopping on on Instagram and then they rolled out shopping
on TikTok and we were all kind of like, I
don't know, And now look at us.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Uh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I when I say dangerous, I don't mean like they're
gonna steal our data. I mean like we're gonna spend
a lot of money. Oh, like we're gonna like we're
gonna Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
It's me.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I'm the problem. That's three things you should know. Here's
one you probably shouldn't. Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
The list of the top US cities for foodies in
twenty twenty five has been dropped OH evaluating one hundred
and eighty two cities based on twenty eight factors including affordability,
culinary diversity, grocere access, and restaurant quality. Top five, Whether
you agree or disagree, are this Miami, Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Texas, Seattle, Washington, Oh.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
The Austin one kind of surprises me a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I hear really like the food is amazing in Texas, Okay,
I've heard megs oh really.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Like Austin specifically. I was just talking to a couple
that got back from Austin and they said the food
was okay. People really hyped it up. So maybe they
just didn't find the spots.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
But that's probably part of it. Maybe.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
I mean, I don't know if it's different, like I
feel like it's different in big cities here. Yeah, so
like they're on this list is Austin, but also is
Houston and Dallas. But Dallas is really really far down.
But guess who made number twenty four?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Grand Rapids.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
The only Michigan city in the top twenty five is.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, at number twenty four, right after Chicago and right
before Dallas, Texas.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
We do have a good food scene in West.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Sweetly, only Michigan city on this list.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I was surprised by, you know what I have.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I can't say that I'm surprised because I've never fully
gone through the city. But Milwaukee made the list, Cincinnati,
Ohio made the list. A lot of Florida's on this
list too, huh.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, we need that list before I plan my next
big absolutely ninety three Sports.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Tiger's played today in Game one of the wild Card
Series with Cleveland. Pregame starts at twelve forty five, so
I will be heading out to lunch for that.

Speaker 2 (03:41):

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Twelve forty five is a pregame, and then one o'clock
one eight.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I believe it is the first pitch there.

Speaker 3 (03:49):

one the game. Red Wings lost to the Penguins in

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
