(00:20):
so you have to be listening all the time to
know what to do. We'll talk about Cooper Flag's weekend
in Vegas coming up at the top of the hour.
But right now it's time for this. It's time to
go into the Good and Skin shule Worburg.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Today is July fourteenth. Here's a few things that happened
ten years ago, because when you look back at your life,
you're gonna want to remember things ten years ago. The
first ever Amazon Prime Day happened ten years ago. Did
you guys take advantage of Amazon Prime at all? Is
that just you get a bunch of great deals on
Amazon Prime Day?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
What? I don't even know if it's good deals anymore.
I think I think I think they want you to
think it's good deals, but I'm not sure if it
is or not, although I did I did get a
huge cup for about twenty five dollars, got a Stanley cup.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
It was so interesting to watch Evan's and he got
our engineer go He looked at Kevin, he goes, I
didn't take you for what are they called a Stanley guys.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I didn't take you for a Stanley cup guy. I
didn't take myself for a Stanley cup guy. But twenty
five dollars off, all right, and knowing that I didn't
have forty ounces of water by my side at all times,
it's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So I do know that the way all these came
to be, you know, the Black Friday deals and all
those things, they're real.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Those are real deals that are that are made.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
My brother was involved in marketing for Walmart for many,
many years, and all that is one hundred percent real.
And so I'm not saying that every single thing is
marked down, but on those specific days when those massive
retailers have sales, there are a lot of legit bias,
like you can get things extremely cheap.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
They made a thing ten years ago called the twinkle Tush.
Amazon did none of the the company twinkle tush oh,
and it's uh, basically, it's a little jewel looks like
a little disco ball that you can kind of hang
from your cat's tail to cover up its little butthole. Okay,

(02:15):
that's called.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
The official medical term for that is an O stamp.
Oh is it really?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
That's that's what the doctors are saying.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
They called the Yeah you got to cover up the
O stamp.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
That was ten years ago.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Well, how do you when it does its thing in
the way, it feels like it would be in the way.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I think that's why it's not a product that we
still talk about today.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, it probably was in the way of some extcrement. Okay.
Ant Man was Marvel's twelfth movie to open at number one.
Ten years ago. Ant Man I didn't I still haven't
seen it.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Actually, probably am going to pass on that one for
the rest of my life.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
That's got Paul Rudd right. Yeah. It gross five hundred
and nineteen million dollars worldwide. God, but an opening a
fifty seven million half of what we got this week
from Superman. So Superman larger than ant Man were seeing
in stature. Paul Rudd I think it would be great,
and then you go and you're like, Okay, it's too

(03:14):
marvelly for me.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
But he's just getting a paycheck. Yeah, anybody who.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Really loved it, Yeah, I'd have been like, I'm gonna
diversify my profile a little bit.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I got to widen up my bank account and fatten
it up a little bit. Any of these guys who
do these deals with Marvels are just getting paid.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
His buddy, Seth Rogan did a failed was it green Hornet?
Seth Rogan was Green Lan Yeah, okay, and that was failed, right, Yeah,
Like so both green things were failed.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So at the time, this is ten years ago. So
at the time, Obama was still in office, and he
said that Bill Cosby would keep his Presidential Medal of
Freedom because there really weren't any Yeah, they didn't have
it in place to just take it away from someone.
So to spital of the allegations about Cosby, Obama Somow

(04:11):
got asked about it, and he's like, well, I can't
take it away from him because we don't have that
in place.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Didn't they take away the heisman? I mean, what's the difference.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I mean Cosby got it in two thousand and two,
you know, and then he wasn't found guilty until twenty eighteen. See,
based on allegations alone, you can't just start taking medals away.
I guess. I assume the Presidential Medal of Freedom is
one of the big ones. A piem off.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I don't know, man, I'd rather get pardoned.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Our guy DMX got six months in jail for ducking
child support and then he died a few years later.
That sucks.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I didn't know you could go to jail for that.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I didn't either for not paying child support. He owed
four hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Oh my, how much?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Maybe four hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Game of Thrones was nominated for twenty four Emmys. It
got twelve of them. Wow, twenty fifteen Game of Thrones?
Was that the first year of it? No? No first year,
no because either way, but the twelve wins. Last year
Showgun on FX got eighteen wins.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Really, I've never watched that.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I thought it sucked. I quit, Oh, because you had
guy in the water that you didn't like, jumped aat
to the ocean. I don't wife jacket or nothing. God,
don't watch the squid game. Then I don't, I want,
I will, I want irritating.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
When is a House of Dragons coming back?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Good question? I think twenty twenty six sucks. I can't
tell you that tomorrow morning, and we'll discuss on the show.
Tomorrow morning. The Emmys will be Emmy nominations will be announced,
and we will see once again as they will try
to put The Bear in as a comedy again, which
they shouldn't.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
It's hilarious, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
There's a funny scenes are really funny, but fantastic.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Kevin.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
we are going to talk about Cooper Flags weekend in Vegas.
But before we do that, Kevin, what are you watching.
I've been watching The Religion Business.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I knocked out two and a half episodes over the
weekend because I like to spread things out. Same way
with The Bear. I'm still like sixty six episodes through
season four, just kind of taking my time. This is
a seven part investigative docuseries and you can find it
at The Religion Business dot com. And this is made
by Nathan Afel and Chris I. They actually were here

(06:33):
in studio last Monday. If you want to check out
that podcast. It's actually two segments. It's on last Monday show.
It's up there on the iHeart app, and I think
you should check it out. And they tell us some
things behind the scenes off air as well that were
very interesting. This project is the result of twelve plus
years of research and interviews with both secular and religious authorities.
These are two Christian dudes. It's not a hit piece.

(06:53):
This is a movement rooted in reform, transparency and restoring trust.
And you can go see it at the Religion Business
dot Com. I can tell you it is very well made.
It's actually beautiful to watch. But they're diving into the
issues of financial mismanagement, ethical concerns, and the lack of
accountability and some of these faith based institutions. Over fifty
percent of US church goer say their church talks too

(07:15):
much about money. In twenty twenty one, it's estimated that
fifty three billion dollars was stolen from churches by staff members.
And they're going down this road in this documentary and
I can't wait to see how it plays out. And
I'd like for you to go on this crusade with me.
It is at the Religion Business dot Com can also
download the Broken Shepherd's app. You can see where your
