Excited to be here today. It's gonna be a fun show.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Lots to get into, so I'm gonna get right into it.
Last night was Kat's big snl draft.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
It's where you have to draft.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
If you know, you get to pick a celebrity that
you think is gonna host, or you could pick a
band that you think would be the musical guest. And
if you have the ultimate that's somebody who can do
it all, then it's extra points, right.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, if they're double dipping, you know, host and musical
guest rarely happens. He's like twice a year. It happens,
you get two points. It's pretty. It's a pretty that's
the bargain. A lot of people just guess music. I
guess because they can. Maybe they'll get a chance to
get a Billie Eilish or someone who will do.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Both Ariana Grande.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
But you know, as I told Christina early, you can't
predict any of this. They make their mind late in
the game.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
Who who who is based on like whoever's popping, if
it's musical or.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Whatever, they're in the news or they got up something.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Okay, if the league happens January through May, I mean,
we're not thinking that far ahead most of the time,
are we.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
So anyways, it's a really cool concept and Skin and
I have never been invited until this year, and we
gave Kat a lot of grief about it, especially when
I found out some of the other folks that were
in the league.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
It's like he posted something on Craigslist. Hey, I need
more people for this league.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
No, dude, it's not like that at all.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
Well, he just wants a little escape, mostly from U skin.
He just doesn't want to be audited by you, and
this is his chance to get away and do something
fun in his world without having to see us. Wait
till we do the segment at three thirty four where
he talks about the league, because I've got some auditing
questions since I was involved, but I wasn't there, right,
(02:59):
so I have some questions about all this.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
So I wasn't here.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
We were coming up to the draft and we will
talk about it a bit later. And suddenly I had
a conflict. My friends that I live with in my
neighborhood in light Farms invited me to go to the
Ranger game with him, and I haven't seen him in
a while, and I'm like, man, I really.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Need to do this. I'm kind of a lame friend.
I need to go show up and do this and
I have.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
For whatever reason, I had KT's SNL draft on Wednesday night,
so I had it on the wrong day on my calendar,
so I basically had to call KT and tell him
that I couldn't make it. Now he first offered to
let me do what you were doing because you also
couldn't make it. He did make a spot for each
of us.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
In the last year. There was really disappointing.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Then classic hold on, hold on, hold on, if we're
going to pull back a curtain. There is a text chain,
I believe or it was an email that said, Hey,
what days can you guys do the draft? And I said, immediately,
I can't do it on that night. I realize everybody
else can do it, could do it on Wednesday, but
if you need to go ahead and do it, do
(04:02):
it without me.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Did that happen or did that not happen? It's exactly okay.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Yeah, So I uh so Skin could make it and
now I could make it. And KT was so nice.
He was like, hey, you can have somebody vote, you know,
take your draft for you, like, have someone do it
as a guest drafter.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
They get your list and you know they're turning in
the card for you and for me.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
You offered for me to give you my list. I'm like,
am I giving you my list I not add and
then that's why you hooked me up with Cray Tray.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Yeah, cra Trade did this last year for us because well,
as we all know, getting ten adults together at one.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Time during fantasy football season for an hour.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Is so tough.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
It never works. It's impossible to get everyone there. Uh
So I think TC or front TC. He had a
gig last year. So cra Trade did his duty and
you know, took TC's list and did the drafting.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Might have messed up a few names, but it's fine.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Right, we'll get into this because I have some questions
about what he did with my team.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
I was convinced that Skin was going to try to
ruin your draft for you, because he's done that like
in fantasy sports, like just to.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
It for some of the reason you weren't last year,
just doing a bit.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
So are you saying because when we did it on air,
my first pick was Bob Seger.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Bob Seger Mike Campbell was he was going to sabotage
something you'd love. I knew that was coming, and so
it was gonna be hard for me to also do it,
which I also wanted to do.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
But I you know, I couldn't do it.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I couldn't be there, and so I am curious to
see how it went with Craig Tray trying to execute
a strange Skin game plan.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
So I do.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
I can't wait to hear how that goes. There will
be some auditing as part of that. I asked some
serious questions.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
So instead I went to the Ranger game and I
realized I had not been back to a Ranger game
since the Corey Seeger home run. I think it was
Game one of the World Series, like ninth inning home run, right,
I had not been back since then, and I don't
know why. And then it's just so far.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
It's so far for you, definitely, Yeah, yes, that's like
right down thirty.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Okay, it's close for you, Cliff, you can get there thirty.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
I'm like, god, it is so far. Uh.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
So, I hadn't been out there in a while, but man,
I had a great time. Except well, I do want
to say this. When I was walking into the stadium.
I love what they've done at Chalktaws Stadium. They've made
a giant like Times Square video billboard right on the edge,
right facing Texas Live. Oh cool, And so it gives
it kind of a Times Square feel, you know, like
(06:38):
when you're out there, there's so much construction and cool
stuff out there. Now crazy, it looks really really cool.
And so I dug that, but I got in and uh,
I'm like.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Okay, Rangers offense is terrible. And you know, you're watching.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
The game and you're like, oh, who's sitting clean up tonight?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Okay, it's Jack Peterson.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
He's sitting one sixty five with six home runs on
the year, and like even your best players, You're like, okay,
I had nineteen home runs. You know, like at this point,
I'm like, nineteen, that's terrible, really if you're the best
home run hitter on the Rangers rather and I'm like,
and so somebody was telling me, you know, this is
just not a hitters park, Like the old park outdoors
(07:19):
was a hitters park.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
This is not. This is a pitcher's park.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
But then when they won the World Series, they were
like top five and a ton of offensive categories.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
So what happened? Why is this?
Speaker 5 (07:28):
How is you're finally getting pitching and you can't hit
the ball now after all these years of being able
to hit and not pitch, And I just I sat
there to the final out and watched them score zero runs.
Oh that's fun. God, that's a hard team to watch
right now. All right, coming up next, Skin, where you
gonna take us in things? Skin is tracking, man.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I went to Austin for the first time in about
seventeen years and something happened that really ruined my weekend.
